Chiyo (2024)

This unique kitty is Chiyo (@chiyopurrs )! She is a brown tabby and white cat with a very unique piebald marking pattern. I found her account a few months ago and fell in love with her unique style. Then I had the honor of creating her portrait in my signature vibrant colorful style! Her portrait was painted with acrylics on an 8x10 inch stretched canvas.

I've always wanted to do a Kaito Kitsune piece, as his personality lends well to it. But, Kitsune Kaito has been done before. So, I was googling around kitsune pictures, and came across these masks:

So, rather than going with the traditional red-white that is used for these critters, I decided to base the design off this idea, different colors, with an asymmetrical pattern.

I definitely might draw this design again. I wanted to draw more, but work was absolutely murdering me at the time.

i couldn't stop thinking about The Shifting Mound and The Long Quite basically representing Yin and Yang:

both are part of one whole

both are opposite and controversial but at the same time alike

both compliment each other

both carry parts of each other inside themselves

both together they create harmony of life and death and existance
