I still don't have any earbuds, so all I can hear from the next room is @mothman-etd typing frantically as he sets up the Hunger Pangs community page.
Which I am still not invited to, btw.
He's so excited to have other people to talk about my book with who aren't me 😂

when people talk about june i dont think theyre doing it right. they give her like cute pigtails and croptops and programmer socks and all these girly interests like makeup. no. she wears nothing but nic cage t-shirts and cargo shorts. she still doesnt know what a bra is. i dont think she's ever stepped foot in a bath and body works in her entire life. i think she uses 3-in-one body wash/shampoo.

if anyone's curious what adhd is actually like, twenty minutes ago I paused a video game to look up spoilers for it so I can get the Good Ending™, and yet now I find myself looking at pictures of anglerfish, with only vague memories of what happened inbetween these two points

I feel like not a lot of people talk about how protective Tyler is.
This is the same guy who took it upon himself to do most of the house work when their dad passed and their mom couldn't, the same guy who has looked out for his sister ever since they were kids. he literally decided to focus on baseball not out of his love for playing the sport but out of necessity because it was the best way he'd get into a good school and get a decent job. this is the same guy who's dedicated his whole life into making sure his family is safe.
and what really gets to me is that this protectiveness stems out of his fear of losing what's left of his family. it's why he's built a wall to keep others from getting too close to him and his sister. he can't afford having anyone else to love and protect because he's also given up too much of himself to make sure his family is able to get through the day. and when he's forced to give their little semblance of normalcy up after their fucked up trip to savannah, he snaps. and i get that he's anger isn't always helpful, but that's his outlet. his fear for his and Taylor's life, not to mention how their situation is probably messing up his future plans and how their mom has no idea what's going on, like you really can't help but feel for this guy.
let's not even bring up the sheer and absolute horror that was episode 48....

Food Safety is Always Important
Lumine: Thanks for inviting me to the House of the Hearth cookout, Lyney. I can honestly say that this is the most terrifying party I have ever attended.
Lyney: I'm glad you're enjoying yourself.
Lumine: Is the Knave wearing a t-shirt that says "Fish fear me, women also fear me, everyone fears me, I am very scary"?
Lyney: We needed to find her something casual to wear and this is the best we could come up with on short notice.
Lumine: But why?
Lyney: Look, do you have any idea how unsettling it is to get served hot dogs off the grill by a woman in a three-piece suit?
Meanwhile, at the grill...
Arlecchino: I don't see what the problem is. It is meat, like steak, is it not?
Freminet: Father, please, I am begging you. Chicken tartare is not safe to eat. You have to cook it all the way through. The other children will get food poisoning!
Arlecchino: Food poisoning is nothing more than weakness leaving the body.
Lynette: It's definitely something leaving the body.
Paimon: For the first time in her life, Paimon isn't hungry anymore.
