Desert creature
Karl had been the first to wake up, and the first to go to the kitchen. Today was Monday, and he usually opened his shop at seven. Not that anyone, except Quackity, ever went in his shop to get a nice cup of coffee. Well, second cup of coffee, actually.
He heard thuds come from where they all had slept down the hallway, and could only guess it to be Quackity. Sapnap had been so tired after last night's dish that he immediately went to take a shower and had passed out on their shared bed as soon as he hit the pillows. That's what he heard from Quackity.
Speaking of the devil, the man himself entered the kitchen and kissed him on the cheek, still half-asleep but also aware of his actions.
" Morning, mi amor. How have you slept?"
" I slept well, thank you, Goldie."
The hybrid hummed before stretching his wings and arms.
" How about you? How have you slept?"
Karl asked as he pulled the last of the remaining ingredients to make the coffee. Not that Quackity would be able to see, as Karl had been keeping it close to his body. He knew that Quackity would never try to use his recipe or remember the ingredients, but better safe than sorry.
" I slept well, mi amor."
The other had said lovingly, making way to the counter and got some plates out. He was getting ready to make a special breakfast for a special someone. He wasn't just going to make breakfast for only Sapnap, but for all three of them.
" What are you making?"
" Only the best pancakes ever! Fluffy pancakes with butter and syrup, topped off with some goose berries! I know Sapnap loves them, so I'll top his with the goose berries and top ours with blueberries."
The duck hybrid smiled, beginning to gather all of the ingredients necessary to make the batter. Karl hummed as he agreed, mixing the special ingredients for his special coffee. It wasn't every morning for Quackity to make pancakes. Especially his signature fluffy pancakes and his homemade syrup, topped with fresh berries of anyone's choice.
" Oh yum! I haven't had your pancakes in a while. When was it? A week ago?"
Quackity shook his head as his lips curled into a smile. He knew he had gotten the others attention by making his favourite dish. Karl loved fluffy pancakes, which seemed to fit with his personality quite well.
" It wasn't that long ago. It was maybe three days ago."
" It's still a long time ago!"
" Not that long ago, as I said. But maybe because they weren't the fluffy pancakes I usually make."
" That's what I mean! You haven't made the fluffy ones in a long time!"
Quackity snickered at the other, finding the pouting of the other amusing and funny. Not in a cruel way, but in a good way of thinking. He enjoyed every cute action made by the other. He secretly hoped to gift Sapnap a ring at the marriage once it did happen. But they'll take it slow with him, as he was new to a relationship.
Not that the two minded. It was also the same for Quackity and Karl when they were in a relationship. Both had taken it slow and steady before officially becoming partners. By the time they had met Sapnap, they hadn't married yet, and had decided to postpone the wedding they had arranged in two years' time. Not that the third had minded and had expressed his relief of the postponed wedding.
" Okay, okay. I'll try to remember to make more fluffy pancakes next time."
He hadn't wasted time to make the batter as smooth as his recipe had said in his mind. He had revised all the recipes in his own restaurant to the point that he had remembered all of them by heart.
It was a habit he had gotten into when he had begun learning to cook and try out new ways to perfect all of the recipes, writing down the ingredients he had used in each of them and threw away the failed recipe papers. The life of a chef.
" Please?"
The shorter of the two gave puppy eyes for the other, pupils expanded to fill the entire iris. Just like a cat.
" Alright. I'll make some tomorrow just for us."
He received a quick peck on the lips from the other as he finished making the batter, face tinted pink from the blush that had formed. He also had a goofy smile formed from his previous smile.
" Thank you!"
Karl giggled, got three coffee cups before pouring the dark liquid in each cup with grace. It was something he found to be elegant. He found everything Karl did to be elegant, no matter what the others task was.
He snapped out of it when he heard a pair of feet on hard wood, knowing that it had to be Sapnap as it had come from the hallway their bedroom was located in.
" Morning, Honey!"
" Good morning, Ember."
The nicknames didn't seem to register in his half-awake state as he entered the kitchen. He just nodded, mumbling a good morning and sat at one of the chairs at the kitchen. Quackity huffed, rolling his eyes playfully as he began to get a pan and the berries ready for the pancakes.
" Here! I made coffee so long! You always wake up as soon as you get a sip of it!"
" Thank you, Sweets."
" And I am making fluffy pancakes. Just the way you like it."
" Thanks, Flame."
" Should be ready in a few minutes as the batter had been left for a good thirty minutes."
" And he promised to make more tomorrow!"
Sapnap took a sip from the hot liquid made by his short fiance, and had to stiffle a laugh from the cute motion. However, he hummed as he swallowed a mouthful of the dark liquid.
" Oh, right. I asked Fundy if you two could come to the site and he agreed."
" Ye-"
" But!"
He cut Karl off, holding up a finger to silence the purple eyed man.
" Under the condition that you two don't go near the ruins. Turns out there is an entire city that had been burried and the top of each building had been discovered."
The excitement had died, but had returned as quickle as it came. Sapnap loved that excitement emitting from his shorter boyfriend, and how Karl's eyes practically shined with the excitement he had expressed.
" Yes! I knew that he wouldn't say no!"
" And, please, don't go near the machines or vehicles."
He had sighed as he warned them, rubbing his temples. He wasn't concerned about Karl following his warning. Moreso, he was more concerned about Quackity. He loved his duck hybrid boyfriend, really, he did but he had a habit of trying to disassemble something and then try to rebuild it. Despite his lack of knowledge of assembling a machine again.
" I'll try not to get near them."
" I'll not go near them! I promise!"
At least Quackity made an attempt to try to fotce himself of not giving in to his curiosity.
" We can go today, after you close your shop and restaurant."
" Oh my goodness- are you joking?!"
" No, Quackity. I am not joking."
" We get to actually see what you have found?! Like- today?!"
" I just mentioned that we can go today. You don't have to make it today. Can be tomorrow or Wednesday like you s-"
" I am closing my coffee shop early!"
" I'll ask my executive chef to take over early. When do you want to leave?"
Sapnap stood dumbfounded, just as Quackity put in the batter in the heated pan. Oh wait- he wasn't paying attention to Quackity making pancake number eight. And it seemed that another four pancakes would be made from the rest of the batter. So... four pancakes each.
" Um- I guess we can go whatever time suits you?"
" Hmmm... I can close the café at two."
" The earliest I can leave is two-thirty. Sound good?"
Sapnap and Karl nodded, watching as he had flipped the pancake to give it that beautiful golden colour.
" Karl and I can get the necessary equipment for the trip while you close up. I'll go around and get some snacks while you two work. Maybe we can spend a night or two there?"
" Alright- fine. I'll pay the executive chef more for the days I am gone. Will let him know."
" I better get someone to run the café then. I'll ask Wilbur. He isn't suppose to be on duty until thursday."
They silently agreed and began planning. Quackity had finished making their breakfast and had topped it off with their favourite berries with syrup. Sapnap had seemed nervous, and the two tried to comfort him about it being nothing and that they will be safe.
However, that's not what Sapnap had thought about, nor was it on his mind. What was on his mind was when to tell his fiances that he wanted to get married soon. He was ready, and had been meaning to ask for a while now.
" Alright. In the meantime, I'll go shopping
" And I'll bring some steaks with us from a butcher I know. Very good prices for nice cuts."
Quackity hummed, taking a bite from his pancake. It was very fluffy and immediately melted in his mouth. Just the way all three liked it.
" Quackity and I better get going. Our places open at seven, and it is now twenty minutes before seven."
" See you two after work then."
He waved, watching Karl drink his coffee while he began to get ready for Quackity to drive him to his café, while the man in question packed the pancakes in little polyester boxes- sometimes called doggybags- for both of them to enjoy when they went on break.
" See you after work, mi amor."
He said lovingly to Sapnap, giving a quick peck on the cheek and went to get ready for work. They were quick with getting dressed for work, so it wasn't an issue. There was fifteen minutes left after all, and it took around ten to arrive at their workspace.
" Bye Saps!"
Karl called out as he walked towards the Quackity's car, the duck hybrid not far behind.
" Bye, loves! See you later!"
He stood up from where he sat, watching his lovers get their seatbelts on and waved as the car engine roared to life. The car reversed into the streets, and drove off to where its driver wanted it to go.
He stopped waving, standing there in the doorway as he watched the car disappear in the distance. It was only when it had disappeared that he finally went back inside to finish his breakfast, closing the door after him and his body finally relaxed.
He sighed, finally morphing back to his actual self. He wasn't human, that was for sure. He was a Netherborn, and his kind were considered demons because of the horns and tail.
That's what caused humans to hunt them down to the brink of extinction. Quackity was lucky that hybrids weren't hunted down because of the animal half they had. It was just Netherborns.
He was too scared to show his true self to his fances, the loves of his life of what creature he was actually. He was scared of their reactions, scared they'd not love him anymore or even call someone to hunt him down.
He'd be figured out by them sooner or later, but wanted to keep his secret for as long as he could, to hide his identity as a Netherborn from them until he felt the time to be right.
He had time to prepare for the worst, but what about the best possible outcome? He would think of it later when he was ready.
" Let's just get this over with."
He grumbled after he had seated himself at the table holding his plate of pancakes. He had to get the negative thoughts out of his head before he took his car to go shopping.

The morning felt long as the rest of the day stretched on. Karl had a few regulars come and go at the same times as always, and even knew the coffee they wanted, how many tea spoons of sugar, milk or no milk and everything. It was only half past ten, and he swore something had messed up the times. Apparently, Quackity felt the same.
" Morning, sweet cheeks."
Eret. Karl didn't like the nickname the SWAT member gave him but it was better than ' Hot stuff.' Sweet cheeks was a better nickname than the other one, but he didn't know if the police member had flirted with him or was just being playful.
" Yes. I got the coffee and muffin ready to go at the til. Cash or card?"
" Hm. You choose for me."
" Your money, your choice, Eret."
" Alright, alright."
The officer had lifted his hands up in surrender to the serious tone of Karl. He had a nervous grin on his face, and looked almost worried whenever Karl got serious. Might be because of the time the owner had threatened to file a complaint pr call one of his fiances to murder the man.
" With card."
" Thank you."
Karl typed in the amount and turned the card machine around to face Eret. The screen had been showing the 'Please wait' screen before showing the screen asking for the PIN to be typed in. At this point, Eret had been quiet and it was something Karl enjoyed when the man had come over here for his regular order.
" Now leave."
The policeman fled the area, and got in his car, driving off incredibly fast after a few minutes with his police blinking, the siren to his car blaring non-stop.
" Seems like a case for him."
Karl huffed, checling the time. He groaned as he saw that it was only twenty minutes before it was eleven o'clock. Only ten minutes had passed by from just talking to Eret.
" ... Oh- sorry for the wait! Please come in!"
He had spotted the other customers, motioning for them to come in his café. It wasn't uncommon to see Eret drive off with his police sirens going off from his small building. It was just every few times a week it happened. His other customers were used to it.
" I'll grab your orders right away! Same as always?"
He earned a nod from the silent man and began getting his order. He had prepared each order beforehand in order to get the coffee to cool down a bit with the morning snack or just the coffee.
It was really going to be along day.

" GET THE FUCKING STEAK ON THE PLATE! PHILLIP, GET THAT CHICKEN IN THE OVEN!"
It was hard to not yell at the new chefs to plate the dishes already. He might as well be Schlatt's twin with how harsh he had been on the new and old chefs in the kitchen. Not that the older chefs minded as it was his way of getting the people who could tolerate his loud ass.
The chefs unable to handle his shouting would be fired, as they often cried or even fought back with their own voice or was just rude in general.
Quackity yelled at another newbie, ordering them to plate, to which they successfully did under extreme pressure. They were a keeper, that's for sure.
He was too busy to notice that time had almost seemingly stopped. The same phenomenon that happened to Karl about time. Not that he would get a break anytime soon anyway.
" PLATE! PLATE! PLATE! FUCK IT!"
He stepped in, plating the dish with the other chef who had been yelled at a few minutes ago. The newbie would be a great addition to the restuarant if he was going to be with Karl and Sapnap for four days. Monday was day one, and they'd return on Thursday.
He had already told his Executive Chef about his plans, and the chef had no problem with it. Even when Quackity promised him to be paid three times the amount, the chef just shrugged it off and declined the offer.
He had only known the man for almost two months now, and he was a humble and honest persom. It was hard to find people like him in a world so cruel.
" MARTIN! SEND THEM OUT! GO! GO! GO!"
" Yes, Chef!"
" AMY!"
" Chef!"
" How far are those dumplings?!"
" Almost done!"
Was he harsh? Yes. Did he intend to be harsh? No. Was he going along what he had learned? Sort of. He was just doing what he saw people do on TV. They were his inspiration and motivation to keep going. Not that anyone would notice or know except for his fiances.
" What's the time?"
He asked one of the chefs, trying to guess the time in his mind while getting the actual time from someone. It was his gamble addiction of sorts. Gambling with time was something he enjoyed doing in his mind, for some reason.
" It's almost twelve o'clock, chef."
The newbie, who had plated earlier, announced. They were busy plating again and preventing some of sauces from burning while the other chefs cooked or grilled the food. Seems as if the Phenomenon of time going by fast didn't affect him that much. Only Karl, for some reason. He didn't know that though.
" Thanks. I am going on break. Daniel, you are in charge."
" Yes chef!"
Quackity went to the back, exiting the restaurant and went to Karl's little café. The nicely built structure was only made of wood and decorated with flowers. It was a nice touch and gave a more welcoming atmosphere than Schlatt's place.
He shivered at the thought of Schlatt. The man was verbally abusive, and often resorted to violence. His employees hadn't reported him to the police in fear of losing their job.
He remembered having to make George lunch one time and had personally delivered it. He saw Schlatt yelling at the taller man with colourblind glasses.
He remembered stepping in and got slapped across the face, how George immediately grabbed Schlatt by the collar of his shirt, how he had easily lifted his boss and how he gave him a death glare.
He hadn't realized that he had entered Karl's café until he heard his name.
" Quackity! Are you on break?"
He nodded.
" Great! I was going to come and ask if you wanted to get some of my coffee but I guess fate is being nice to me."
" I'll have your coffee and some of those muffins."
" Order is on the way! Please take a seat over there in the corner so we can talk. I am on break and my other customer's won't be here until one o'clock."
He nodded and turned around, making his way to the seat to wait for Karl to bring his order. Karl would make his own coffee anyway, and could bring his own food if he wanted to. It was his building after all.
" So, long day?"
" Tell me about it. It is way too long."
Quackity huffed as Karl sat down with the orders. Both were mad at the culprit called time for making the day seem as if it had slowed. They hated it with a passion, but knew that there was nothing they could do about it.
" Hopefully the last few hours go by quicker. I can't stand it with time being slow today. It is a pain in the ass."
" I hate when you swear, but will give it a pass."
Karl and Quackity chatted, complaining about the day goung by slowly before going back to their respective roles again. Quackity the chef, and Karl the café owner. However, time went by quickly for Karl, as he was quick to close his shop a minute before one. Sapnap had already arrived to pick him up.
" C'mon. Let's go. I got everything from my side."
Sapnap was in his car, a nice truck that could fit ten gazelles in the back but it's exterior was incredibly dirty. Not that Karl minded, as he could probably guess that it was from driving on dirt roads.
" Give me a sec. I need to lock my café."
Sapnap said nothing, which he took as a " goa ahead". He did lock his café and made his way to the car as soon as he turned the sign from "open" to "closed". Just a little something for his customers to know that he won't be available for the rest of the day.
" Did you get that friend of yours to be in charge of the café for a bit?"
" No. He said that he was already going to be on vacation to visit Skeppy and Bad."
" Really? That's something I would not expect from him."
" Me too."
" Maybe next time? When we all meet again to go on my next expedition?"
Karl's eyes lit up, twinkling again like stars in the nightsky. It always made Sapnap's heart mealt at the cute expression his fiance always seemed to have made.
He shook out of his thoughts and began to drive off so that Karl could get the necessary ingredients for his special coffee. Quackity would be fetched within fifteen minutes, so that gave them enough time to get out.
" We need some steak, milk, and the secret ingredients for my coffee."
" I already got the steak. Turns out Bad and Skeppy are the ones delivering the meat to Quackity's restaurant as they literally gace me six steaks he had ordered from them."
" You didn't know that?"
" No. Not really. Too busy to know what's going on with archaeology."
That... was a good point.
" But now I know why his steaks are good."
Sapnap commented, chuckling while playfully giving Karl a nudge. Karl rolled his eyes, but couldn't help the smile that had crept on his face.
" Oh? Is that so?"
" Best steaks I ever had, to be honest. But your coffee is also the best coffee I have ever had."
" Fair point."
They arrived at the store so Karl could get the ingredients and milk. If milk wasn't an option, then he'd cream. It tasted good either way with cream or mil anyway.
Sapnap snapped out of it when he saw a police officer talk to Karl from inside the car. He could tell that Karl was uncomfortable, and that the poluce officer was part of the SWAT team. He glares, opening his car door and stood up.
" Karl! Do you need me to go fetch some eggs and bacon? I forgot to buy some."
Sapnap spoke, causing the officer to freeze at just his voice alone. So he knew who he was? Perfect.
" Um-"
It took him a while to respond, but he did after two seconds of silence.
" Yes! I would really appreciate it."
" And is this guy bothering you?"
He felt his anger, felt how badly his body wanted to shift to his actual form but he fought it. He couldn't reveal himself in public, it would end up in disaster. Not for just him, but also for Karl and Quackity.
" No- it's fine."
The man must be this " Eret" guy Karl talked about so negatively. The man fit the description Karl had given a few months prior. He snapped out of it when Karl seemingly had teleported to put the stuff in the trunk with the rest of the stuff.
He'll get the bacon and eggs before getting Quackity. They had around... five minutes to get the needed protein before getting the man himself.
" I'll be right back. Just wait out here, in the car."
Karl only nodded as Sapnap marched forward, glaring at the SWAT team member as he made his way to the entrance of the mall. God forbid his urge to transform in front of public so he could tear into Eret's flesh.
' I'll only be gone for a few minutes.'
He reminded himself as he entered the mall. Curse him for forgetting about the bacon and eggs. He stepped into the isles containing the two groceries and had gone to the till and paid.
He was in a hurry to make sure that the officer hadn't continued making Karl uncomfortable. He was on the verge of ripping his head off, and wouldn't care to go to jail for murdering an officer.
When he returned to the car, he found that the officer was nowhere in sight, much to his relief. And Karl was in the car like he had asked him to do after packing everything in the trunk.
Now he wasn't cursed.
...
" California girls, we're unforgettable!"
He spoke too sosn.
He cursed at himself for giving in to let Karl play music. How could he not? He was adorable for an adult! His fiance couldn't help but use his cuteness to his advantage when it came down to asking him and Quackity for something.
California Girls wasn't a bad song, per se, but it just made his ears hurt from how loud it was. Quackity had been picked up almost an hour ago, and had sung along with Karl.
Sapnap pressed on, trying to ignore the pain throbbing in his ears from the music playing full blast. To say that he was a bit annoyed would be partially true were it not for the defeated mind of his to also send seratonin for the odd mix of an emotion.
They only had a few more hours left to get to the site, and Sapnap was getting tired of driving already. Not from exhaustion but because of the music and shenanigans his fiances created and the worry of when he'd propose to them.
As he had did before this, he shoved the worry to the back of his mind where roots would prevent the thought from escaping again. He just needed time, was all.
-x-
The walls were cold.
The entire area was cold, damp and dark. The only light illuminating the space somewhat was a giant, bright glowing green eye that stared at the sandstone walls. A white half-broken, cracked and old porcelain mask covered half of the face the glowing orb settled in.
Scales scraping against the tiles a normal sound in this dark abyss of a place, chains glowing an odd deep red on the floor and away from whoever the eye belonged to. The glow of the chains were too dim to illuminate the being. Nothing was visible of the being. Only the bit of green light that came from the eye visible and the slightly green tinted mask.
A chain clinked against the cold floor as one of the limbs of the being moved, creating an awful sound reminiscent to that of a green bored being clawed at with only nails from human hands. It was a horrible sound that sent shivers down someones spine, made their skin crawl, caused them to wince or unwillingly shiver at the sound.
But the chains stopped scraping against the floor as the limb had stopped its movements, the slithering scales ceasing as well. All the being could do was watch the wall its eyes stared at, a small crawlspace only smaller creatures could crawl or slither through.
The tunnel was more than thirty times smaller than the being- given by how large the eye was, it wasn't difficult to estimate the size of the being or the fact that it was chained.
A scowl formed as anxiousness crawled inside its chest, fangs now visible from the green glow made by the eye. It wasn't particularly anxious for itself, but rather for what its plan had come down to, being free again after oh-so-long ago like it once was.
The head of the being lowered to be at ground level, single visible eye from the broken mask focusing on something rather small compared to its impressive size.
With the help of the green glow of its eye, a smaller figure was visible, tinted in green from the glow of its eye. The appearance of the smaller being was surprising and would stir up fear among any sane person.
Although illuminated in the green glow; the figure had a white porcelain mask with a simple smiling face carved into it, blond hair was visible on the top of its head and a black, sleeveless, thick turtleneck better suited for the cold. The upper torso resembled a man, something that was normal, but at the hips, it had faded and turned into a beautiful green tail that resembled that of a snake's, the underbelly scales were pitchblack.
It was a stuff of nightmares for those that had believed in such a creature in their culture, in the myths and legends told to their children.
The figure looked up at the larger being, face hidden and unreadable thanks to the mask it wore over its face. Compared to the larger, it had to be almost the size of its hand- if not a tad bit larger, thanks to its serpent lower half.
" Are you sure you want to do this, Day Dream?"
The larger spoke in the ancient language of gods, voice firm and held authority, but was also deep, spoken barely above a whisper. There was worry that left the tongue of the larger, the glowing green eye narrowed ever so slightly in worry.
" This could destroy our link, and I'd have no way of knowing if you were in danger or caught."
The smaller nodded, bravery felt by the larger that swirled in the smaller's chest through the link both shared. It didn't make the larger feel any form of relief, it just made it feel even more anxious, no closure brought to its chest that painfully squirmed from the emotions it felt all at once.
" I promise I'll be fine!"
The smaller spoke, voice softer and a lot more cheery than the larger. Despite the mask covering the smaller's face, the larger could sense that the other was smiling with triumph.
" Besides, I am unable to die from mere weapons that contain no magic."
" That is not the point, Dream."
The smaller stiffened at the mention of the name that slipped out from the larger's mouth, left the tongue of the one that had created it.
" The point is... the point is that I would not be able to help you if you were to be captured if the link were to crumble!"
" I..."
Nothing wanted to leave the smaller's throat, only the word " I" wanted to escape. An uncomfortable atmosphere blanketed the chamber both were trapped in.
It was an uncomfortable atmosphere, thick as it was, brought with a silence that would make anyone sane go crazy. Until the larger let a heavy sigh escape from its lips.
" I didn't..."
The smaller finally spoke a bit, nervousness and sadness tugged at the link. The larger made a strange noise as a single, massive and clawed digit came into the green light formed from its eye, gently petting the blonde hair that rested atop the head of the smaller. The sound made by the larged had not ceased until the smaller spoke.
" I didn't mean to make you mad, Creator."
" I know. I'm just..."
A loud exhale came from the larger being, warm air pleasant on the smaller's skin.
" I'm just worried that this won't work."
A worried warble left the throat of the larger, the smaller able to feel the emotions that blossomed in the larger from the link, and felt awful for not thinking about how the larger felt. How it had ignored the emotions and neglect the other's feelings and opinions about the situation.
The being must've sensed it, and immediately stopped petting, vocalizing its opinion of the matter.
" Don't worry about it. You were being optimistic, and thought better of the situation instead of the negative."
It did not seem to lessen the feelings, but that did not stop the larger from speaking.
" I should know that you only want me to be free from this place, for me to feel the sun's rays on my skin and scales but know that I also want what's best for you."
" So... I will still complete the task at hand?"
A hitched breathe indicated that the larger had forgotten about the task completely while trying to reassure the smaller being. Though, there was no sign that the larger disagreed or acted upon the question. It meant that the task was still ongoing.
" Just... promise me that you will be very careful out there?"
The smaller only nodded under the gaze of the larger, slithering closer to the face and nuzzled the cheek of the larger being's face.
" I promise."
A nuzzle was returned from the larger, and then the head moved away from the smaller as the being rose back to its full height. However, a large clawed hand reached down towards the smaller, gently picking it up as of their body was fragile and was easy to injure.
As the smaller dangled from the clawed digits that held it carefully and gently, using the right amount of pressure that brought no pain to its lungs. Despite this, the smaller would be able to heal up just fine of it were to be injured from the hand that held them.
Carefully, the larger rotated its wrist so the palm of its hand faced the cealing above ots head, aware about what pressure it needed to keep in order to not harm the more fragile of the two.
" Are you sure about this, Day Dream?"
The larger spoke up again, trying to give the smaller a secondary option without it being directly said.
" I'm sure! I'll be back as soon as I can!"
It had been quiet for a few seconds, the larger not moving its hand towards the small space large enough for the smaller of the two to crawl through.
But, eventually and reluctantly, the palm moved towards the space and the smaller immediately looked back up at its creator. It hesitated for a moment as the tunnel was in view, giving the larger hope that the hand-sized being had changed its mind, only to deflate as it entered the tunnel.
" Please be safe, Day Dream."
It spoke as it couldn't hear the smaller's scales slither over the sandstone inside the tunnel. Its anxiousness returned, but managed to control the feeling as it thought of the positive things instead of the negative.
It was trying to be optimistic.
Like its precious creation, Day Dream.

" Woah..."
Karl whispered as stars formed in his eyes at the sight of the area that was being studied. Most of the top of the buildings of the city were visible, like the roofs and sometimes half of the sandstone homes, and it made him happy.
To say that his fiances were awestruck at the sight would be an understatement. They were blown away by how the old ancient buildings looked so well built with different carvings, probably art to decorate the walls, to make each building unique in their own way.
The most common carvings by far were the small halos in the middle forming a cross in front of a circle and two wings on either side of it. All of the houses seemed to have one the further they explored the more dug out homes. Theoretically, Sapnap seemed to connect it to some kind of symbol and worship to a God.
" This place is so cool! And beautiful!"
" I didn't think that it would be this amazing..."
He chuckled at the responses he received from his fiances, at how Quackity basically stared at the sight while Karl moved forward, looking around to take in everything and his enviroment.
" Not so boring, is it?"
" Prime no! This-"
Quackity didn't seem to be able to express how impressed he was. But Karl did. He seemed very impressed about everything and did not fail to express it in any way.
" This is astonishing! Gorgeous! So many words to describe how beautiful this place is!"
Sapnap wanted to smile, but quickly stiffened as he suddenly had a bad feeling about something. He tried to brush it off, but couldn't shake it off as it only grew. He frowned, and knew that he couldn't ignore it. Once a Fireborn sensed something bad was going to happen, it was not something to ignore. His instincts had never failed him, and that only made things worse.
" Sapnap? What's wrong?"
Karl's sweet voice piped in, and the man was in front of him with Quackity right next to him. Both shared worried looks, and Sapnap hated it.
" I just... It's just I have a bad feeling that something will happen."
Both of his fiances glanced at each other, and immediately became uneasy. If Sapnap felt like something bad was going to happen, they wouldn't be the type to ignore the signals.
" Like... what?"
Sapnap shook his head, sighing shakily as he didn't know what it was. He could only guess, and that was about it.
" I don't know. I can only assume that it is something to do if we go further down there."
He pointed down towards the middle of the ancient city, the sand there untouched and perfectly smooth, except when a slight breeze blew some of the golden sand away.
" I just can't underatand what it is. Maybe an animal? A snake?"
He didn't know what it was, but decided to lead his finces away from there, hoping the feeling would vanish. However, it didn't cease to make him uneasy. It seemed to just hang onto him like those Face Huggers from the movie " Alien."
That's when they heard it.
A loud hiss, and scales gliding on sand. They would've brushed it off as just rattlesnake of sorts, if not for how heavy and the snake had sounded or how massive it had to be to be able to be heard from right where they stood not too long ago.
Sapnap dared to look back, and so did his fiances. They regretted it immediately, fear and shock quick to overcome and tak over their expressions.
" What the fuck?!"
Quackity yelled at the sight of the snake, which wasn't a snake at all. It was half man and half snake, the upper torso resembling that of a man while the lower torso faded into a snake's body.
The appearance of the creature was that it had blond hair, a white porcelain mask covering the entirety of its face with a simple smiling face carved into it, a black sleeveless turtleneck worn on the human torso, the arms muscular but not by a lot, the snake half a dull green that faded into a bright green at the end of its tail while the belly scales were pitchblack. Said tail had shaken in warning like an actual rattlesnake but without the rattle.
Now, the trio were no snake experts, but they could immediately identify what snake family this creature was, from how spiky the scales were, and they knew that it was venomous. Vipers were not something to mess around in forests. As to what type of viper species this creature was specifically? They had no idea, but they doubted that it wasn't harmless.
Sapnap protectively held his arms out in front of his fiances, glaring at the creature that was no doubt just as venimous or even more venomous than its snake cousins. Not to mention that he knew nothing about mythology from other cultures. He wasn't a culture or mythologist expert.
" The fuck is that thing?!"
" I don't know, Quackity."
Sapnap called his fiance by name, and that meant that this was a serious situation they had landed in. A horrible situation. Amd all he could see Karl do, out of the corner of his eye, was hide behind him but wasn't sure if he also hid behind Quackity for extra protection.
What type of viper-creature-thing was this?! It looked like it could easily swallow a person or two whole! It's upper torso, the human part, was twice their size! And that's coming from someone whonwas 5'1ft!
Adrenaline kicked in as the creature hissed, more loudly than the first time, which he didn't know was even possible! His imstincts threatened to transform him into who he truly was, and had a difficult time keeping his composure amd control in this stressful situation.
Nothing had happened other then the trio just staring at the creature wearily, and the creature did the same thing. It wasn't until both parties saw movement out of the corner of their eye.
" Sapnap!"
' Shit! Fundy!'
The creature growled, turning its gaze at the person that had moved out of the corner of its eye. They booked it. Sapnap, Karl and Quackity ran which hadn't seemed to be the brightest idea as the creature gave chase. For something almost twice his size, it was quick.
" HOLY SHIT! WHAT IS THAT THING?!"
" What the hell?!"
Everyone on the sight screamed when eyes fell on the thing chasing Sapnap and his fiances, panicked workers he worked with ran in all directions imagineable. Even Fundy seemed to go as far as to go into hybrid form just to escape.
Sapanap dared to look back, and his heart dropped as soon as he saw how close it was, using its arms to help it move, sending sand flying everywhere behind it as it kept up the pace.
" Shit!"
Quackity yelled, and the fear in his voice was very obvious. And when the creature launched itself towards them? He couldn't help but let instinct take over.
His human body transformed, skin turning to a rocky texture with cracks that glowed orange, no doubt lava that acted like " skin" while the rocky exterior acted like armour, his hair turned into flames while his eyes glowed a bright orange, human feet digigraded into more dinosaur like ones, two red horns glowing like lava sprouted from the sides of his head, as well as a tail that had a flame burning at the tip. It crackled with his fury.
Sapnap growled as his size increased by just a head, glaring and growling monstrously as he stood his ground, the snake monster thing had stopped its movements, hissing as well.
" ⊬⍜⎍ ⏃⍀⟒⋏'⏁ ⊑⎍⋔⏃⋏."
It seemed to speak, but the language was almost the same as what he and the other worker had seen on the ancient relic before he went to the city to visit his fiances. There was no doubt that this creature was part of the ancient city, and might've been the last one standing.
He kept glaring and when the creature tried to go after his fiances- who no doubtly stood in shock and fear behind him, he attacked. The creature attacked back, lower half made up of pure muscle coiling around him as the upper torso managed to grab him, pinning his arms at his sides.
" ⊬⍜⎍ ⎎⍜⍜⌰! ⎅⍜⋏'⏁ ⊬⍜⎍ ☍⋏⍜⍙ ⍙⊑⏃⏁ ⏁⊑⟒⌇⟒ ⌿⟒⌇☍⊬ ☊⍀⟒⏃⏁⎍⍀⟒⌇ ⎅⟟⎅ ⏁⍜ ⋔⊬ ⎎⏃⏁⊑⟒⍀?!"
" Whatever you are saying, I won't allow you to hurt them!"
He struggled in the coils, but managed to get himself free by heating up his body temperature unbearable to any living thing on this planet.
" ⌇⍜ ⊬⍜⎍ ⎅⍜⋏'⏁ ⎍⋏⎅⟒⍀⌇⏁⏃⋏⎅ ⋔⟒? ⏁⊑⏃⏁ ⋔⟒⏃⋏⌇ ⊬⍜⎍ ⏃⍀⟒ ⏃⌰⌇⍜ ⌇⍜⋔⟒⊑⍜⍙ ☊⍜⋏⋏⟒☊⏁⟒⎅ ⏁⍜ ⏁⊑⟒ ⟒⎐⍜⌰⎍⏁⟟⍜⋏ ⍜⎎ ⋔⏃⋏☍⟟⋏⎅ ⏚⎍⏁ ⌇⍜⋔⟒⊑⍜⍙ ⋏⍜⏁."
Just when things couldn't get worse, the creature had managed to get past him and towards his fiances, going after Karl. He was quick to react, grabbing the tail and threw him a good distance away.
" Get out of here!"
He didn't care about being hunted down. All he cared about was protecting his fainces, and not the possible execution that would come his way despite doing a good act.
It didn't take the creature long to recover from the sudden sense of being thrown, and seemed just as angry as when it had seen him with his fiances while in human disguise.
He got ready to attack, when hammer of all things hit the front of its head, cracking the mask that covered its face to reveal bright green eyes with slitted pupils and black sclera. The anger was visible on the now revealed face of the creature.
Sapnap took a glance behind him, and saw that Quackity was in a certain pose that made him suspect that his fiance was the one who had thrown the object.
Sure it disoriented the creature a bit, but it didn't make the situation any better. If anything, it only made it worse.
" ⎅⏃⋔⋏ ⊬⍜⎍, ⊑⎍⋔⏃⋏⌇! ⎅⏃⋔⋏ ⊬⍜⎍!"
The creature hissed, swaying a bit from side to side after the impact after he returned his attention back to the creature. He growled, bearing his teeth that looked like lava.
" ⊑⍜⍙ ⎅⏃⍀⟒ ⊬⍜⎍ ⏁⊑⍀⍜⍙ ⌇⎍☊⊑ ⏃⋏ ⍜⏚⟊⟒☊⏁ ⏃⏁ ⋔⟒!"
Before the creature could do anything, again, it was hit by one of the trucks owned by Fundy, and it flew a feet away from where they were.
As it stood, it was evident that the sudden blow by the body had caused it to stagger and struggle to get up on its own. Sapnp stared at the person who drove the car, and saw none other than Punz himself.
The truck suddenly turned to do probably the same thing to him, but was shocked to see that it had just turned to dace him, the enjin switched off.
" Hey."
He said-oh so-casually, as if he wasn't the one to basically ram into the creature and probably give it a concussion and ignite a new kind of fury.
" Punz, what the fuck?!"
" Eh. Nothing. Just dealing with the issue."
" How are you so calm about this?!"
He just shrugged in response to the question and looked at Quackity and Karl. The two men were scared at not only the creature but also Sapnap. Dread pooled at his gut at the realization.
" Relax. They probably aren't that scared of you."
" SAPNAP?!"
" I spoke too soon."
Sapnap glared at Punz, but focused on his terrified fiances. He was a head taller, making him still smaller than the creature but taller than his fiances. He was 6ft now, not 5'1ft anymore. Not in this form anyway.
" I can explain-"
" Why didn't you tell us you were a Netherborn? Specifically a Fireborn?"
What? They didn't sound scared of him, but disappointed? Why? Was it because he betrayed their trust?
" ... You know why..."
A thought occurred when he heard no fear towards him.
" Why aren't you scared?"
" We... kinda suspected you to be a Netherborn with your strange behaviours and abnormal body temperature at night."
Karl explained sheepishly, rubbing his neck. Sapnap was just dumbfounded at the sudden confession. He was shocked, but couldn't focus on it for too long as the creature hissed.
Sapnap was quick to go to defensive mode quickly, tracking the movement of the creature before it glared at them. Its eyes were narrowed, and that's when Punz decided to finally focus on the thing he had basically rammed into. He knew his snakes, better yet, knew their species by heart. A hobby of his.
" Holy shit! Why didn't you tell me this creature was a viper species?!"
" Because you never asked?"
The creature only managed to crawl a centimeter before collapsing on its left side, eyes shut as it seemed to have finally succumbed to its injuries and possible concussion.
" Well would you look at that, the truck did manage to knock it out."
" And the hammer Quackity threw might've been another factor to have played here."
" Are you serious?!"
" Let's just get this thing caged or something. It's immature to quarrel about this situation now. We can quarrel about it later when it's contained."
They all agreed, and glared at the creature. All but Karl and Punz. Something didn't add up to the two of them. Why had it attacked them and showed only hostility towards humans only?
Something wasn't right.
To be continued

in puffy's (sort of?) defense, I don't even know how much she heard about punz's whole mess. she was pretty forcedly offline for most of march on account of her breakup/trying to figure out her living situation. it's part of why she was normal about dnf so soon after everything went down - she got off the internet and basically stopped thinking about it
aww puffy :((

Our little brother pt.3
Finally, one of the long awaited favorites is uploaded once more! This took longer than expected and I’m headed into finals week soon so I may not upload for a bit (feel free to give me prompts still!) :D
here it is folks (I’ve had this half done for so long)
tw ~ unintentional fearplay, minor claustrophobia, anxiety, grabbing, technical kidnapping???, annoyed Technoblade
word count ~ 1.5k
The fast pitter-pattering of tiny feet sped down the hallway, nearly silent compared to the conversation and giant footsteps from the humans all around him.
Tommy didn’t know what to do. First, he was trapped in the brown-haired human's pocket for what felt like forever. Then the guy started petting him like an animal. He is not an animal!
And he did not nearly fall asleep with those giant fingers caressing his back.
He is a big man, the biggest man, and big men don’t relax at some giants touch.
Now he just had to find somewhere to hide until all the humans went away and he could get back to the walls where he belongs. Tommy continued running against the wall, in a small hidden space near the gigantic heavy doors that humans kept walking through. No human could see him there.
The huge door slammed near him again as more humans walked out. He clutched his sensitive ears. Humans were too loud.
A shoe bigger than him slammed down just inches from his hiding place as he covered his mouth to suppress a squeak of fear.
Even a big man like Tommy would admit that running so close to humans was terrifying, and he didn’t know what to do. There was nowhere to go.
So Tommy did the only thing he could think of. He curled into a tiny ball right on the floor in the shadows, where he hoped no human could find him.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Wilbur.”
Wilbur winced in surprise at how stern Techno’s voice was over the phone. He had received a call from his twin not long after he lost his sunshine and nearly jumped out of his skin when his phone rang in his pocket.
“Heyy Tech, just got out of my exam. I think it went well personally, but I could have done better on the essay honestly-“
“Wilbur. Stop talking.”
Wilbur knew his attempt to change subjects was futile, and he knew exactly why Techno had called.
“So… what are you calling for?”
Wilbur tried to ask, smiling innocently while talking, even though he knew Techno couldn’t see his facial expression.
“A few minutes ago, I came home to check on the creature we found, and it’s not here.”
Techno waited for Wilbur to speak but kept going when the other end of the call stayed quiet.
“I looked in the cage and it wasn’t there, Wil. So, either it escaped, or you brought it to class after we agreed you wouldn’t. Judging by the silence, I’m guessin it’s the latter?”
“…alright, yeah, it was me… I just thought it would be nice to take them out for a while!”
“Well, you said you were done with your exam, so come back here. I wanna see the little thing again.”
This time, Wilbur paled at Techno’s response. He couldn’t go back to the apartment empty handed…
Now he was on a time limit.
And a very short one at that.
…he just hoped his sunshine was close by.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tommy didn’t know how long it had been since he hid. It felt like forever, but it couldn’t have been more than half an hour.
He couldn’t see any good openings to run or get into the walls. The constant foot traffic calmed down, but there were still a handful of humans standing and talking. Too risky to move yet.
One of the humans that was in a pair started walking away. His white hoodie was hard to look at under the bright lights, but the shiny necklace around his neck was mesmerizing.
Tommy watched him disappear down the hallway before turning to look at the other guy who was just standing there on one of those glass rectangles that humans love.
After a few minutes, the guy—who was wearing a bright green hoodie, who does that?—still hadn’t looked up and seemed oblivious to his surroundings.
Tommy had a choice.
He could stay in his little corner, curled up for who knows how much longer… or he could try to make it under the door he was next to.
He needed to see if there was a way out.
Tommy held his breath as he uncurled his body, keeping his tail wrapped around his leg tightly.
He slowly inched to a stand and started to shuffle closer to the door.
He took shallow, silent breaths, even though his body wanted to hyperventilate.
As more minutes ticked by, he got closer and closer to his destination. He could almost touch the wood of the door.
Then the human sighed.
Tommy couldn’t help the full body flinch he reacted with… when he opened his eyes, large green ones stared right back.
The human stepped forward and was close enough to grab him in seconds, so he ran, bolting for the crack under the door even though he knew it would be pointless.
His escape plan was foiled as the human noticed where he was running and swept him off the ground and into a giant fist… the third one he’s been in since the alleyway.
Tommy, so desperate for an escape, screamed as he was lifted higher, tears rolling down his cheeks while he struggled.
“Wha…? Hey, hey, hey, little guy, relax.”
The human's eyes widened at his struggles.
Good. He caught him by surprise. A better chance of escaping.
Tommy continued to squirm and fight against the hand he was in until the other giant hand came up and restrained Tommy.
He was completely trapped, pressed against two palms with just his head to move. His limbs were completely stuck in place.
Still, his squirms continued for a few moments more before it just became too much for him. Tommy had been so close to escaping all the human monsters, but it was all for nothing now.
Tommy couldn’t help it when he muttered one word in fear;
“Please!”
In an instant Tommy froze in the humans hold.
He had just spoken.
No borrower was ever supposed to speak to a human. He broke the borrower code.
Tommy closed his eyes, tensing up while he waited for the human to do something to him. All of the scary stories he was told about breaking the borrower's code came to the front of his mind. What could the human be planning to do with him?
“It’s alright, little guy… you’re safe.”
Tommy opened his eyes in surprise. Those huge green eyes were still looking at him, but now they seemed… softer, more welcoming.
He was confused. Why did the human look like that? They were supposed to look mean and scary!
His head tilted slightly as the hands around him loosened. Now Tommy was sitting in the giant's palm, mouth agape as his body relaxed from tiredness.
“My name is Dream… do you have a name? Or should I keep calling you little guy?”
Tommy wasn’t sure what to do, he can’t speak to a human again… but he had already talked before.
The human knows he can talk… what if he gets mad that Tommy won’t?
“T-…Tommy.”
“Hm, Tommy? That’s a nice name. Can you tell me why you’re here all alone, Tommy?”
What could Tommy say? He was alone… but he couldn’t tell the human, Dream, that.
But he was also running away from someone too…
Maybe, if the hu- Dream thought he was trying to find someone, then he’d let Tommy go…
It was risky, but Dream looked like he could be tricked.
“I.. I’m lost… I lost my human. I can’t find him anywhere..”
Dream looked at him with a mix of confusion and pity… it was working.
“Your human? Like… your friend?”
“Uh… yeah.”
“Well.. what does he look like? And what’s his name? I can help you look.”
Great. Now he was stuck with this human while he looked for the one he didn’t want to find.
“He has… brown hair, and brown eyes… and a yellow hoodie. And his name is… um..”
What was that humans name again? The pink haired one said it so many times, but he could barely hear over his heartbeat…
Wil… Wil-something. He still couldn’t remember… he would just have to make it up then. He was too far into this now.
“Wilby… his name is Wilby.”
“Alright.. let’s go find.. Wilby then!”
Tommy was lifted higher into the air as Dream stood to his full height. He clasped at his tail anxiously while he was cupped against Dream’s chest. Tommy hoped he’d never have to get used to this…
Tommy watched Dream walk the length of the entire hallway in seconds, faster than Tommy’s tiny legs could cross in hours, like it was nothing, while he looked for Tommy’s human.
Tommy could only hold his breath and hope ‘Wilby’ had already given up looking for him and left.
He didn’t want to be put right back into the hands he tried to escape from so hard.
Then he saw that brown-haired beanpole crouched on the ground, and once he felt the chest he was leaning against breathe a sigh of relief, he knew he was done for.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
hope you enjoyed! (Told you there would be another main character)
I wonder how poor Wilby will react when he sees his sunshine in Dream’s hands?
as always, get some rest, eat and drink something, and send me things! :)
These aren't the best moments in his life (Surfer Dream pt 5)
I'm finally posting a fic again woooo :D
hero you go with a new part for surfer Dream au :)
Enjoy :]
TW: Safe/soft vore, unaware prey, fearplay, injury (mentioned)
It's been about 6 months since Dream went into a coma. Karl visited him three or four times a week, since he missed him very much and was very worried about him.
One of those days, Dream finally woke up from his coma, which pleased Karl and clearly Sapnap and Quackity. They were really relieved that he was able to wake up from the coma.
Due to health and safety reasons, Dream had to be hospitalized for another two months, which was fine with Karl as he was quite concerned about his roommate's condition.
During that time, Dream slowly began to be able to speak normally. It took him quite a while to do so, but with the effort, he was able to speak again without stuttering. In the end, he was allowed to leave the hospital, back home with Karl.
//
Dream walked out the door, heading towards the port. “Dream! Where are you going??" Karl asked as he quickly approached his friend. Dream let out a long breath, looking at him with a pout.
"Come on... I'm just going for a walk, you don't have to worry so much about me..." "Dream... You've been in a coma for six months, almost seven, plus two months of rehabilitation" He replied seriously while crossing his arms.
Dream let out another slightly annoyed sigh. “Karl, come on, I can't be locked up all the time. I'm just going to take a walk for three hours and come back, okay? Nothing bad will happen to me…”
Karl looked at Dream for a few seconds before sighing in defeat. "Okay, but if you haven't come back in three hours, I'm going to ask Sapnap and Quackity to find you and you won't come out for two weeks."
Dream thought about it for a moment before nodding. “Okay, deal. See you in three hours." he said before turning around and continuing on his way towards the port. Once there, he got on a small boat and headed out for a few miles into the ocean.
//
An hour passed and it seemed to Dream that he had gone far enough, so he stopped the boat. Not even five minutes passed when the sea began to move a little more violently.
‘Okay, maybe I should have listened to Karl…’ Dream stumbled backwards as a wave crashed into the boat. The sea was getting even more dangerous by seconds.
Much larger waves began to appear and crash against the boat. Dream tried to hold on to something but then, an unbelievably huge wave hit the boat, causing him to slip, hit his head on the ground and knock him unconscious.
Although before falling unconscious he could kinda see something light blue and gold, his sight eventually turning completely black.
//
Punz had only thought of taking a long swim by the sea, what he did not expect was to find a small boat being hit and pushed by the waves. With a sigh he approached the surface, sticking his head above the waves, watching the boat for a moment.
He narrowed his eyes, leaning a little closer, wanting to take a closer look. His eyes widened as they took in the only person in it.
The person was unconscious, which worried him a lot since the boy could die because of the state the sea was in.
Letting out another sigh, he picked up the boy in his hands and slowly introduced him into his mouth,swallowing him slowly and gently, since he didn't want to hurt him, or at least, less than what would have happened to him before he arrived.
Once he was sure the human was in his storage, he dove back in, swimming for the nearest shoreline.
Before he could move too far, a blue shark hybrid and a killer whale hybrid stopped him off, the shark grabbing him by the neck. “Where the fuck is Dream?! What the hell have you done to him!?” he said in a furious voice, baring his sharp teeth at her in a snarl.
Punz got nervous, who was Dream? Was he talking about the human he had found a few seconds ago? The shark grew impatient at his lack of response, tightening its grip on his neck a little more.
"Well?! Are you going to answer me!?" The other mer stepped in, trying to calm him down. "Sapnap please, calm down, you won't get anything like this..." Sapnap looked at his partner for a moment before letting out a sigh and letting go of Punz's neck. "Okay... Now, talk"
Punz looked at him a little bit nervous. “Uh.. That Dream.., has dirty blond hair and is wearing a green shirt...? Uh, if it's him... I found him unconscious so I decided to store him to keep him safe...”
Sapnap sighed at that. "Okay... I can tell you're not lying, but I don't trust you, understand?" he told him in a serious tone.
Punz nodded, flinching as a hand landed on his shoulder. “Calm down kid, he's just a little upset, it's alright, okay? Spend some time with us and you will see that he gets used to you.” Punz nodded again. "And what about you..?"
The orca gave a small giggle. "Me? don't worry about me, I do trust you, usually whale shark hybrids are really honest, besides you looked too nervous to lie, I think you're not good at that." "I guess..." The orca pulled him a little closer while drawing Sapnap's attention.
“Why don't we talk a bit on the way and get to know each other a bit?” He commented looking at both of them. Sapnap just shrugged, not really caring for the idea.
"Okay then, my name is Quackity and this is my fiancé, Sapnap." He says pointing at the shark. “My name is Punz…”
Noms Are Weird
Clumsy
[2248 words] [full tw list on ao3]
Tommy had the misfortune of being born right into the first generation of giants integrated into human culture. Which for him, meant all sense of a previous culture and country he could’ve shared with other giants was a far fetched fantasy now, unlike his father, Phil’s, life. This didn’t mean anything to the blonde growing up, until teenage years brought hormones and odd feelings. Not those feelings, weirdo.
The types of feelings that burrow deep into your soul, and stomach, and gurgle and squeeze anxiously. The type that make you realize how dumb you fumble around and how much space you take up as a giant in the small world around you.
Hyperawareness. Discomfort. Some secret third thing Tommy spent the majority of his time trying to identify now. It was an odd sensation that came up anytime he was around, or thought of, a human.
He didn’t dare bring it up to anyone, worried in the back of his mind what it could be. He wasn’t stupid. There were stories and fears about how giants sometimes ate humans. That’s something Tommy definitely didn’t have any mixed feelings towards whatsoever, nope! It wasn’t like every moment he came into contact with his peers at school, his stomach churned hungrily and intrusively snuck thoughts of slipping them into his mouth- not at all.
But just in case, Tommy decided it was best to isolate socially from humans. Completely ignore and avoid them, because that’s definitely healthy and the right way to cope.
Clumsy, uncomfortable Tommy stumbled through the hallways, rushing his way to the last class of the day.
The only luck Tommy had was his school being more developed than when Wilbur was taking classes. The blonde’s school was actually suited for giant students and housed them comfortably.
But now the teen had made it to the class, stupid math. He carefully stepped past the front side of the room, which seated the human students, and made his way to relax in his own seat.
Classes could snugly fit about three giant students each, while dozens of humans could fit. Meaning, if you didn’t like your same-sized peers, you’re not only a giant blemish to the humans, but to the giants as well. That was typically Tommy.
In math, he was sat beside Punz, and only Punz. He was a senior, contrasting Tommy’s being a freshman.
The brief consideration passed Tommy to try and make friends, though Punz had a cold hard face that told him he was not at all interested. So, of course, Tommy struck up conversation with the platinum blonde.
“AYUP, how do?”
Punz gave him a bewildered side glance, before fully turning, expression clouded in disgust at the very fact Tommy was even acknowledging him.
“Who,” Punz bared sharpened teeth, “are you?”
“They call me Tommy,” he nodded, “most people say I’m annoying, but only at first, nice to meet ya, what’s your name, mate?”
Punz’s expression returned to normal; normal being incredibly bored and done-with-people looking, but still.
“Punz,” he answered. Tommy smiled, despite already knowing from the older one's reputation that spread like wildfire around the school.
Punz. He was a monster. Every giant stereotype Tommy could really think of was true for him. Loud, brash, violent. Punz was the type to start fights and he was certainly strong enough to have people wishing themselves dead. Tommy heard Punz had once broken someone’s arm! He was a threat of a giant, strong and cruel. And Tommy was all the more concerned with befriending him.
It was simple, having friends was good anyway. But having someone tough on your side always played to one’s advantage. As well as the fact Punz was a cold person who needed a heater to warm him up, metaphorically. If Tommy could be that, letting the giant trust someone, he’d consider himself having done a good job. Plus, softening Punz would do all the much to push giantkind in the eyes of acceptance.
Maybe Tommy was considering too much.
“You’re staring.”
“WHOOPS,” Tommy laughed it off nervously, “Sorry, big man, sometimes a boys gotta stare, ya know?”
“…What are you talking about?”
Tommy continued to chuckle, playing off his discomfort, “Ay, big guy, maybe we could spend time together after school, yeah?”
The giant’s nose curled and the word ‘no’ was on his lips, but a sudden thought took Punz aback, and he softened his face again, “Actually, I was spending time with some friends after school, you can come,” there was something dark in that invitation, but Tommy couldn’t detect it.
“Hell yeah!” His voice was a bit loud, the teacher hushed him.
Tommy smiled and quieted, flashing his toothy grin to Punz before focusing on maths.
As much as Tommy was a klutz and a social embarrassment, he still wanted to try with giants. Humans were completely out of the picture; his feelings and intrusive thoughts messed him up too much to bother, but at least he could talk to giants. They were on the same level, literally, and he felt all the more comfortable just in their presence than the small little breakable creatures that were humans. It was too dangerous to allow himself by them. And Tommy would avoid humans, he swore upon it, for his and their sakes.
Class went alright, and Tommy kept serving one liners and quips to Punz to butter him up. He really wanted the older one to like him. It meant so much with every giggle and small twitch of the corners of Punz’s lips he caught. The blonde didn’t think he’d be able to stand being an extrovert with no friends.
Maths was over soon enough, and the two giants parted ways, walking down the giant sized hallway to their lockers. The humans walked along a small, lifted up, walkway that was guided by a railing. They were high enough that they walked the same height up to an average giant’s chest. The school feared if they were waking down too low, they’d be stepped on, so everything for humans was raised more or less.
The freshman tore his gaze from the small walkers. He didn’t want to tempt the nagging urge anymore than it already ached. It was a foggy sensation that was trying to overtake his logistics, that settled unkindly in the back of his head. Stupid foggy feeling, ruining his high school experience.
The blonde met his locker shortly after leaving the class, as the hallways for giants were quite short and twisted in loops around previously human-built rooms. Tommy input his combination, fumbling slightly with recalling the exact numbers, before swinging open the door. Inside was nothing but his backpack, blue and plain. He’d meant to decorate it with patches, pins, and whatever else he could get his claws on, but had yet to do so. He ignored that his wish was to do so with human friends.
Tommy slipped the bag over his shoulders and walked back through the hallway. Slight anxiety met his mind when he realized Punz never told him where he’d be waiting for the younger.
It didn’t matter, as Punz turned the corner immediately, a duo of giants behind him.
“Hey, ready?” Punz offered a clawed hand.
Tommy beamed, “Yep!”
“This is Quota,” The brunette one raised a polite hand, “And Jake,” The one with glasses smiled, baring teeth.
He’d seen these two as passersby in the hallway before. He knew every giant’s face at this point, by how much staring he’d accidentally done. It was easy though to know every other person of giantkind, considering they were still a minority, especially in this school.
“Hello!” Tommy tried his best to make a perfect first impression, grin wide as day with an outstretched hand to give out handshakes. Quota shook his palm firmly, but Jake denied the contact. Tommy cringed internally, but coolly played it off.
Punz nodded to the three of them, “Let’s get going.”
Tommy nodded back, bold expression all proud of himself and totally not lame looking. The two giants beside him gave glances and turned away.
As the group made their way along to the front entrance of the school building, Tommy found that the rest of the giants were taking small glimpses over on the railings where the humans were walking. Tommy swore for a second he caught sight of Jake licking his lips just for a split moment, and his heart sank in the way of the possibility they might, too, understand this cruel feeling inflicted upon him.
It was a great deal of time later they had spent just walking and chatting, casual topics, that Tommy’s legs were just starting to pang after having used them for so long straight. He was about to speak up and protest, when his complaints were shot down by Punz taking lead talking instead.
He said, “Here we are,” And Tommy looked up to see the movie theater. Shit, he never brought money to school, they were gonna have to pay for him. How much more awkward could the teen get around his peers?
The group piled into the theater, and Tommy bashfully peered down to the floor, embarrassed to admit that he couldn't afford anything. Before he could say a word, again, Punz was first to open his mouth, “I’ll buy everyone’s tickets. Tommy, you’re new, want popcorn?”
Tommy blushed, “Uh, yes.”
“Are you the kind that likes lots of butter…?” The question was so simple, but felt like if he ‘got it wrong’ he’d be kicked out of the building quicker than he joined the trio.
So honest it was, he wasn’t Honest Tom for no reason (nobody called him that).
“Painfully buttery.”
“My man,” Punz approved, and as he handed over the money and was given the striped bag, he gave the honor of buttering it to Tommy, who absolutely slathered that delicious yellow all over the little buds of delight. Hell fucking yeah.
Jake and Quota got their candies, which Tommy politely asked not to have (he already felt guilty spending Punz’s money on popcorn and a ticket), they all made their way deeper into the building. Punz had bought them all tickets to whatever the only giant starring movie there was. It was rare to see a movie even about giants without them being demonized, so supporting them when they were correctly shown in the media must be important to Punz. Tommy respected that.
Tommy had the important job of carrying the popcorn in and they filed into the room, where they took their seats around the back, where the giant sized seats were. Jake scrunched up his nose, pushing his glasses up at the same time.
Punz groaned, “Don’t you hate that we’re stuck back here?”
Tommy was being stared at, “Y-yeah!” He didn’t have that strong of an opinion, but it must matter to Punz a lot. Jake and Quota seemed to profusely agree.
Quota echoed behind him, “It’s not fair that we’re treated like ‘others’, look not a single human even wanted to see a movie about giants!”
Tommy hadn’t noticed. Now that he was looking at the dozens of rows of empty spots, he realized the situation. At least, he thought hopefully, now he wouldn’t have to worry about the mind-numbing sensation of the ‘desire to eat people’ thing, which he totally wasn’t dealing with behind the scenes.
“It’s disgusting,” Jake curled his lip upwards, “How are we meant to trust the narrative of ‘accepting, welcoming’ humans when they don’t acknowledge we even exist?”
“You’re right…” Tommy felt uncomfortable in the knowingness. Like it was some type of poison traveling down his throat to be so hyperaware of a human’s discomfort with the idea of him. It made the odd intrusive thoughts seem even worse. How evil was he for wanting to eat those who turned their back on him?
Punz lifted his soda, “To giants, and each other, the only ones we can trust.”
Jake and Quota cheered with Punz, and a duo of giants that were also in the building smiled at the scene. Tommy reluctantly joined, afraid of sticking out like the sad, sorry, red thumb he was.
It was a few previews in, and a human entered the building, to every giant’s surprise. Punz jeered at the poor thing as she walked in and chose a seat closer to the screen. She whipped around all nervous, but ultimately ignored Punz’s distasteful choice of words.
Tommy suddenly felt like a stranger to his own skin, tenfold of what he normally experienced. It was like he wasn’t even in his body, viewing from a distance outside himself. It was nauseating, and so he excused himself away to the bathroom, leaving the bucket of buttery popcorn there with his new friends. If he could call them that, yet.
The giant felt sick, tumbling his way into the stalls, he bent over and kneeled there. Over the toilet, he just sat on his knees, and waited. It was a few minutes ticking slowly and painfully by, that nothing ended up happening. He was thankful at least, his breath wouldn’t be rotten when he got back to the trio, but the sensation of dizziness and the urge to vomit didn’t let up. It lessened slightly after a dozen more minutes, and Tommy felt fine enough to stand once more.
He couldn’t explain what had just happened. Something about the way Punz was cussing out that human for what seemed like merely entering the room disturbed Tommy greatly. He’d have to ask about what that was for at some point, if he planned on even making friends. It was starting to seem a little foreign to him. Maybe he was in the wrong for thinking like that, though. He should, as Punz said, support his fellow giantkind. It was only fair.
As he abandoned the bathroom, Tommy slowly made his way back to the theater room, begrudgingly tracing the striped walls as he walked.
Upon turning the corner into the room, the first thing Tommy realized is that the human was gone. He hoped that she hadn’t ditched the movie over Punz’s jeering.
Tommy reached the back of the room with the giant seats, and took his place beside his new friends like he was before. He didn’t notice the way Punz proudly displayed his hand upon his stomach, which was being pushed against furiously, acting like he just had a wonderful feast, meanwhile the popcorn was untouched.
The movie had since started, and was about a third into it when Tommy sat back down. He felt bad for missing so much of what Punz had paid for, but the platinum blonde didn’t seem to mind.
“Psst, Tommy,” Quota whispered over, “We’re gonna ditch this place, the movie is awful anyway.”
Tommy made an audible ‘oh’, and stood as the trio did, making their way out of the building and down the next few streets.
Punz explained, leading the group, “We’re going over to my house.”
The blonde nodded back, “Oh, uhm, I might go home actually. I wasn’t feeling that great back there, uh…”
Punz huffed, “After school tomorrow?”
“Yeah! I can do that,” He smiled brightly, happy they’d still accept him even if he left right now. Maybe he wasn’t the total loser he thought he was, and actually proved he could make friends with people, specially, the scariest giant who might have a secret soft spot. Tommy vowed to find that special little spot, and worm his way into Punz’s heart.
He waved a giddy goodbye to Quota, Jake, and Punz, as he turned and headed the opposite direction, down and over a good amount of streets. He eventually made his way to Allen Drive, where his house was. The bright wooden shingles welcomed him home as entered through the front door. It was a tiring and long day, and even though dinner smelled good in the kitchen,
Tommy took instead to upstairs, where he flopped onto his bed. The cushion caved beneath his weight, and happily accustomed to his body laying there. It was incredibly comfortable, the sheets, blankets, and pillows all piled around him. Tommy sighed out, happy how the day had ended up. Maybe tomorrow, he’d successfully join a social group with Punz and the gang, and learn how to be a person like everyone else.
The Downfall Of A God
" Billions of years ago, a powerful being had existed long before legends, fables and folklore had been born, long before man had existed. However, when man had appeared, the being had been worshipped by mankind. The people of the ancient times had viewed this being as a God and a symbol of luck. It was no ordinary being. It was, indeed, a God. The first God to have been born, to be more specific.
The God had been described to have the upper body of a man, and the lower body of a snake with prestine white wings that shimmered with a rainbow tint if viewed from a certain angle, adorned with a prestine mask covered in symbols that could only be deciphered to that of an ancient language the God used. The God wore ancient green robes with golden lining and lots of jewelry, with a black robe beneath the green robes to appear more godly and mysterious, a hood that covered the head to protect its identity. No mortal had ever seen the face of the god, but only the bits of blonde hair that managed to stick out of the hood it wore on its head. Two halos crossed one another above its head while a third looped around its head in front of where its mask covered its eyes. It looked angelic, in more ways than one without the fact that it was half man-half snake.
The two sides had lived alongside with the other in peace for more than twelve centuries, cities were built and statues were made to show their God how deep their respect for it was, to show their appreciation to their creator. There was nothing but peace, before something had changed. Man had begun to fear the God over the course of another few hundred years. The mortals had gained magic, but feared to tell their God about it in fear of being executed on the spot in front of everyone by the one they worshipped.
Rumours had spread, stories had been told to the next generation of how the God had begun to enjoy mortal flesh, how it had developed a taste for man over the course of another two hundred years. This had only worsened and deepened their fear of the God, and it had noticed the change in the mortals over the course of fourteen centuries, but paid no mind to it.
It was only three hundred years later when mortals took matters into their own hands. Out of fear, they had built a temple for the God with the intentions of locking it up, to prevent tragedy of mankind in the hands of this powerful being. It had taken an entire year for the temple to be completed, and during that time it had been under construction, the God had begun to get suspicious of the sudden construction of the building, but had waved it off as its worshippers being generous to have built the temple for it. A place it could stay in, and somewhere the God could give advice to its followers privately. Of course, its reputation had been born from the tales its followers, also known as worshippers, had told to their young. Not that it had known about the rumours and tales spread by it own followers that would bring its downfall.
Impressed, the God had found itself entering the temple to inspect it, just like the mortals had expected and planned. Those who held powerful magic had begun to cast a spell that would seal their own God away just as the God had realized what the intentions of its own followers had been about. Betrayed, angered and full of hatred, the God had also bestowed an enchantment upon man in its own ancient language too complex for mortals to understand. But after they had successfully imprisoned the God, they had celebrated and thought that it was over, that they had won. At least, that was what man had thought. Their fear of the God had been replaced with relieve and joy, proudly stating how they had successfully trapped a deity with magic and had stayed in the area without a worry. Oh how wrong they were to assume that they had gotten away with it without a price to pay.
Not even a week after they had imprisoned their own God had they noticed how the vegetation had begun to die, how life had started to move away from where the once luscious forest had been now turned into a desert. Water had gotten scarce to the point of it being impossible to find in the place that had once flourished with life. But that was not all. Every mortal whom bore magic had suddenly gotten ill, magic stripped away from them thus causing them to become magicless. It had only gotten worse when newborns born with magic had suddenly also lost their magic and fallen ill while the newborns born without magic had been perfectly fine. The mortals had realized that what the God had enchanted was a curse, a punishment for them locking the powerful being away with magic, and had thought that those with magic were to blame for its downfall.
Panic and fear had returned, and everyone with magic had tried to release the God, to try to get the forest to grow again and fill the desert with life once more. But the damage had already been done. Each mortal bearing magic had lost their gift at either birth or at the ripe age of between twenty and fourty years of age, unable to release the God they had once worshipped and had begun to fear a few thousand years later. More mortals had lost their magic as time went by, and had left the area where they had sealed their God in the very temple they had built.
Thousands of years later, folklore, legends and tales were born. The word Naga or Nagini had been created to describe a being with the lower body of a snake and upper body of a man. The events that had happened and how a God had been sealed had been twisted in such a way that the story had been changed. Instead of humans losing magic due to a curse bestowed upon man by the god, the story had been about some disease that only affected those born with magic, a false replica that had twisted the truth of what had truly happened all those years ago.
Rumours say that the God had been imprisoned for billions of years and will be released from its prison while legends say that the temple and the ancient city had been hidden by the last magic user from ever being found by the future of mankind. Some had a theory that it was a combination of the two, but those were just rumours and legends, just theories. But there is also a myth that the God had a secret kept from man before it had even been imprisoned by its own worshippers.
Now, fear is all everyone knew from the variety of tales that had been born and created, all twisted in their own unique way after the original story had been lost and had died off with the last of the worhipper's bloodline, the truth never to be discovered or unravelled again."
The pages were covered as the book was closed by the one who read it, a sigh leaving them as the leathery texture of the cover reminded them of the old books they had read in this very library. The older tales were much more interesting than the newer books authors had written. The newer books written in the modern times had nothing of interest as they all followed the same principles of romance and other genres.
But something about old books and their tales of folklore and legends were different, drawing them in to read them all one by one, even if it meant that they had read the same book more than a hundred times. It was something within the way the books had been written and how the stories depicted the origins of where such tales had originated from that fascinated them. Even this book had said that all legends, myths, folklore and tales had originated from this one story after the imprisonment of just one God alone. This book was one of their favourites. The detail it had described what the God looked like, how magic had been born and how it had been the only way to imprison the powerful being, how a curse had been bestowed upon man as the God had been sealed away, how a week after its imprisonment the curse had taken full affect of those with magic at the ages between twenty and fourty- it was just fascinating to them. Everything about this legend was fascinating. No matter how many times they had read it, it still fascinated them.
" Library has closed around twenty minutes ago already."
The owner of the library pulled them out of their thoughts. Of course the library had to close just as they had gotten deep in their thoughts spiraling with good theories of their own as to what actually had happened and why the pwople had begun to fear the God if said being had done nothing to its own worshippers and followers.
" Oh my- is it that late already? Well, I thank you for letting me know, Wilbur. I must've lost track of time again. I apologize for staying that late here again."
The owner, now known as Wilbur, only chuckled in response, shaking his head and waving his hand in the air to dismiss the apology given by them while the other hand was in his jacket's picket.
" No, no. It's alright. No need to keep apologizing everytime you overstayed here in my family's library. It's not a problem."
" Again, I am still sorry for overstaying."
" George, as I had said previously, it's fine. Nothing to apologize for."
George, as Wilbur had called them, sighed and just left the conversation right there. Wilbur would keep on insisting that it was fine for him to stay here a little longer than what the closing times had said on the doors. Not that George minded, but he thought that it was unnecessary for Wilbur to let him stay a little longer to finish a book.
" Still reading that book?"
Wilbur changed the topic as soon as he saw what George had read as he put the book back in its rightful place, keys in hand and ready to close the library.
" You have read it over and over again. Don't you get a bit bored reading that same book again everyday?"
A grin had spread on the man's face, a teasing tone hidden in the way he spoke. It was part of the norm for him to tease George for reading the book titled " Origins of tales and more" written by an anonymous author. The book was more than ten centuries old, and the only intact and original book Wilbur had found in the attic of his family's house when they had moved here some two months ago.
" You know I don't get bored with a book as interesting as this, Wil. These new books written nowadays are too cheesy and predictable."
He laughed at George's response, barely able to stop himself from falling into his chair at the frontdesk.
" I swear you and Foolish are related somehow. You both share the same interest, the same replies and even hobbies. You two even read the same books too! The only difference is that he comes in the morning and you come around twelve o' clock. Are you sure you two aren't related somehow?"
Although Wilbur spoke alot about Foolish, he had no idea who it was and had never met the guy who apparently was his library 'twin.' He would have accepted and thought that he somehow had a twin he had not known about, if it weren't for the day of their birthdays being only a day apart. But what did that have to do with apparently being library 'twins?' Nothing.
" I really need to meet this 'twin' of mine. He sounds like an interesting fellow amd someone I could get along with."
" Trust me, you two will get along very well."
Wilbur made his way to the doors of the library with George not far behind him, searching for the right key to lock the doors to the library.
" I'll ask him if we can hangout later in the week? We can go to that new restaurant three blocks away, if you want? Heard that Quackity owns it and that the food there is absolutely amazing."
" You mean the restaurant called " Big Q's BBQ" near Karl's coffee shop?"
" That's the one!"
" I didn't know Quackity could cook or opened a restaurant!"
" I knew he could cook, but I didn't think he'd open a restaurant."
Wilbur hummed as he put the keys in his pocket, looking at George with a big grin.
" What do you say?"
" Hm? Oh- uh... ummm.... about what? The hangout? Yeah, sure. Sounds like a plan."
" Great! I'll let Foolish know about the plans. I'll send a message on what day he is available so that we can hangout. Maybe bring Karl and Sapnap with us."
" I think that can work! I haven't seen Sapnap in a long time because of his new job as an archaeologist. How's Tommy doing, by the way? I haven't seen him since his birthday, which was almost three months ago."
" Pfft- he has gotten in the phase of just thinking a lot about women now. Not that I can defend myself as I also went through that phase. Pretty stubborn too."
Both snickered, before they calmed down.
" See you tomorrow, if my boss decides to be merciful."
" Really? Your boss as in J. Schlatt? Yeah no. He won't show you mercy if it's Monday, which is tomorrow."
Both said their farewells and parted ways, heading back to their homes where they would play a game or two with each other before going to bed. They'd typically play minecraft mostly and stream sometimes, but nothing too extreme. Not that they cared about extreme streaming anyways. It just didn't sit right with them after attempting to try it out. It ended with both being drunk with massive headaches and pain in their bodies that they had to call in sick.
Wilbur was lucky that Philza, his father, would be on duty that day while George wasn't. Schlatt had to be convinced for a good while why George couldn't go to work that day or the next and it had taken an entire thirty minutes to convince him to give him two days off. Schlatt was merciful that time, but George wouldn't be lucky to get another day off anytime soon. That incident was almost eight months ago when he had been working for Schlatt for almost three years now.
And the guy had no chill, whatsoever. The coffee machine is broken? He'll yell at all of his workers. There's no water? Again, he'll yell at his workers. He doesn't get what he wants? Guess what? He'll yell at his workers. Again. Not that he paid any mind to the horrible boss of the workspace he worked at.
He couldn't wait to meet this Foolish guy! George had to keep his mind focused when he was on his way home. He kept on dwelling on meeting with Foolish the entire way home, and it almost caused him to walk into someone.
Everything would be fine.
" Sir! Look what we found!"
The man with brown eyes watched as one of his diggers pointed at something. His gaze followed to where his colleague pointed at, and his eyes widened at the sight of an ancient relic dating back to more than a thousand years ago sticking out of the desert sand.
" No way. There's actually something here?!"
He was surprised, actually excited to keep looking for more ancient relics or even an ancient city burried beneath the sand. The male got his phone out, immediately calling someone he knew would know about these ancient stuff.
" Hey, Punz. You gotta come here. We found ancient relics dating back thousands of years ago."
He nodded as he got an answer from the other on the line, grinning with sparkles in his eyes.
" Great! Yeah! See you in a bit!"
He ended the call and looked at his colleague with a big grin.
" Go see what else you can dig out. We might have discovered an amcient city! Tell the rest that they should also start digging."
" Yes sir!"
The colleague scattered off to go tell the others the order he had given him. Serotonin pumped in his brain all throughout his body. However, he had to stop when his phone rang again. He lifted the object to see who was calling him, and immediately answered upon seeing that it was Karl, his fiance.
" Hi, dear! Is something wrong?"
He listened to the other, softly humming at the other telling him of why he had called him.
" Really? Wow, I need to see if I can squeeze my way in to meet George and the others because we have discovered an ancient relic and I have a theory that there is a city here."
He heard the other, patiemtly listening, shoulders slumped as he had heard the reply he had gotten from his lover. He hated it when he made his fiance sad. He would have to pull a card and ask his boss to give him a day off to meet his fiance and friends. Not that his boss would mind, he hoped.
" I'll talk to my boss. I am just waiting for Punz to come here and will then ask my boss. You know how he is when I have to tale a day off."
He laughed at the funny reply he had gotten from the other on the line, trying to hold back tears. He was pretty sure his lover had said it on purpose.
" Don't say that! Fundy's literally going to have my head if he hears that you found out you saw his furry content on Facebook!"
He snickered, wiping away an imaginary tear from his eye. He had to not tell his boss, Fundy, about this or he would be "fired" from his job by him. The reason it was in quotation marks was because Fundy wouldn't actually do something like that, as he was pretty sure everyone knew about his content.
" Okay, see you, love. I'll let you know what he says."
He pulled the phone away from his ear and hung up, already plotting of how to ask Fundy to give him a day off to meet his finace again. He was pretty sure that the man wouldn't mind as long as he didn't mention about the transformation incident.
" Really? Your finace knows about my content, Sapnap?"
" Fundy- boss- I didn't-"
" Just take the day off. I am too tired and used to your shenanigans that I could care less. Plus the fact that you rarely ask for breaks. Take the chance of getting a day or even a week off before I change my mind."
He stared at his fox-hybrid boss with wide eyes, mouth agape. He was thinking that this was a dream, but was quickly brought back to reality as the hybrid walked away.
" Wait- how long have you been-?"
" Since I heard that Karl found my content. Also, Punz is here so get to work while I go help the others dig the area, Sapnap."
" I- yes. Of course!"
Sapnap dashed to where he thought Punz would meet him, a little embarrassed that Fundy had heard his conversation with Karl on the phone but was able to brush it off.
" Hey, Sapnap! How's it going?"
" Going great. Anyway, 0lease follow me."
Sapnap had led the man to where the relic had been found. Punz's eyes widened upon seeing the ancient writing on the surface.
" Holy- this really is an ancient relic!"
"Told ya! Thomas found it, and the rest of the crew are digging to see if there is a city here."
" I'll try to see if this is also an ancient Egyptian city. Who knows? Maybe they had travelled here and made themselves right at home."
" It does look like it was made by them, honestly. The carvings are similar, but the writing is different."
Sapnap commented, squinting his eyes to see if he could decipher the language a bit better. He wasn't able to do so. He was able to decipher Egyptian writing, thanks to technology, but wasn't able to decipher this Egyptian writing.
" Why?"
He wondered, almost glaring at the relic as if it had the answer to his question, as if glaring would help him read and finally understand the writing better. It did not, however, help him understand the writing.
" I swear this isn't Egyptian language."
" Wh- Sapnap, are you sure? Are you saying that we have discovered a new language?"
" I believe so. I can't decipher this writing or its language. As if this language had been around longer than the Egyptians and way before that."
He mumbled, literally scratching the top of his head as he tried ro figure out what type of name to give this newly discovered ancient writing and language. He had no idea if it was actually a newly discovered ancient language that seemed way older than it was with how fragile the relic seemed but just the cracks alone. Even a gentle breeze seemed to cause it to fall apart.
" Just get the epoxy or silicone to make sure this ancient architect doesn't crumble by just a gentle breeze."
He ordered, placing a hand on his forehead before dragging it across it, beyond exhausted and had given up on trying to figure out what the words written on the new discovery.
" I was just about to say the same thing."
Punz spoke as he stood up, putting both hands in his jacket's pockets as he observed the ancient relic with his ice blue eyes. It almost looked as if they glowed, but he knew that it was because of the angle he stood in and the light that had given the glowing effect. Sapnap just nodded in acknowledgement, and shrugged.
" Best get to it then. I am going back in town for a day or two."
" Your leaving already?"
Punz turned his attention towards the other, a brow raised as he gave Sapnap a questioning gaze to support his words. Not that it was needed with the question marks inaide his blue eyes. His confusion was also there, but not as prominent as the questioning look directed at him.
" I haven't seen my fiances for almost four months, Punz. I miss them and had not asked for a break until now."
It was true. He wanted to visit his lovers after not seeing them for four months. He felt guilty for not visiting them for so long, but he had expeditions and other work to do in every ancient city to learn mpre about the lives of the people that had once lived in them, how they had thrived and how they hunted. He hadn't realized that he had been gone for that long until Karl had called him almost three days ago now. Time flew by when he was focused on something related to his job.
" Tell them I send my greetings. Except Quackity. Tell him I said fuck him and his ego for breaking my table and washing machine during that sleepover."
Sapnap snorted, knowing that Punz would never forget that day Quackity had broken his washing machine and favourite glass table with an axe. More specifically, a proper netherite axe. Such good timeswhere he had witnessed the chaos of that day.
" I will be sure to tell him that you said hi in your own way."
He chuckled with the other before bidding farewell, heading towards his car to begin his journey back to town. It wpuld take an hour to reach the city. Punz was only quick because he had already set up his tent not too far away from where the discovery had been made by Thomas.
The poor man had worked for far longer than anyone else had before Fundy had become his boss and he was in his sixties. He was so happy that he hadn't realized that he was already on his wah to the city until he had driven over a rather medium sized rock that had snapped him back to reality.
He might as well listen to some music.
-x-
" Oh come on! That skeleton just had to kill me!"
Wilbur could be heard laughing at George, the death screen mocking him for having died to a mob that had the shooting accuracy of a rock. But it had to be the one time it had given justice to its fellow skeleton friends when he was mining diamonds!
" Come on! That's not funny!"
" It- hah-!"
" Wilbur!"
George looked at his chat, stumbling over his own words at the comments of how he had been killed by a skeleton of all mobs. He was unable to get words out of his mouth with how baffled he was at what had happened.
" Guys- wait- stop!"
He fumbled with his hands, trying to find sometheing else to do instead of flailing his arms to worsen the mockery.
' Playful mockery.'
He reminded himself, taking in a deep breathe to calm himself, to steel his nerves. He had to focus on the game and stream. After calming down, he clicked on the screen to bring his character back to life as if nothing had happened.
" I am sorry George! I couldn't help it!"
He heard Wilbur laugh again but it wasn't as bad as before. He had calmed down while George had calmed down. Not even the chat had playfully mocked him as bad as they had done previously.
" It was just so funny! Especially since you had half a heart!"
" Wilbur. Please, I don't want to remember it anymore."
Wilbur only chuckled before he suddenly gasped.
" Um... I am gonna end stream. Sorry everyone."
George looked at the time before humming.
" Same here, guys. Sorry but we have stuff to do tomorrow, and it is quite late where we are now."
He read the disappointed comments, the comments that wished him a goodnight and even saw the numbers plummet as the people watching his stream left. He ended stream by leaving minecraft and then stopped it completely. Hevsighed, rufflimg his hair as he looked at the time again.
" 19:48"
God he had to get ready for work and knew that Schlatt would be an a-hole on the first day of work, but it was what it was. A ping from his phone caught his attention and he lazily pucked it up, switching the device on and read the sudden message from Wilbur.
" Foolish agreed to go on a hamgout at Quackity's restaurant on Friday. I had invited Karl, Sapnap and Quackity. Don't worry, he has asked the Executive Chef to be incharge for the day."
He shook his head as if the Wilbur had sat behind him, being physically there instead of the man being at his father's house eight blocks away from his apartment. Not that it that far away from George's place, but still quite a distance to walk or get there compared to Sapnap's place, who shared it with his fiances. Long story short, they had moved into his place after the other two had gotten enough cash to afford an extension of the house for their rooms. Sapnap's old room was nothing but a guest room now after the sudden change of the house with his fiances.
Not that it mattered. While Sapnap went out to discover new architect, the two would look after the place. Whenever George had visited while Sapnap wasn't there, the place had been spotless. There had been no rubbish anywhere as far as the eye could see. He had begun to suspect one of the two had OCD, but had nothing to prove his theory. Or they just enjoyed cleaning the house, very strange, or they wanted to lift off the heavy weight on the poor archeologists' shoulder.
That was sweet. He frowned, grumbling at the thought of them having found the loves of their lives. He admitted that he was jealous but wouldn't say it out loud. He didn't have anything against his friends for being lovers with one another, nor did je blame them. It just... it just made him feel jealous for not finding a lover or someone he loves.
It was frustrating, but he jad accepted it, knowing that his time for having someone by his side who loved him, cherished him, helped him, had his back, looked after him would come and that he would do the same in return for their devoting love.
It wasn't like it would be a lonely single life he would have for the rest of his life! Right? Surely he wouldn't be lonely... and a sad sack of a human for the rest of his life...
He shook those thoughts out of his mind, getting up from where he sat and walked over to his bed... his messy bed. He hadn't fixed it since morning, and wouldn't have enough time to fix it anyway. He'll ask if someone could clean the apartment for him, since he had mentioned to the owners that he would only ask for his room to be cleaned whenever he left the apartment, to which they agreed to.
They were a lovely couple, who had been together for almost twelve years now. Thwy were sweet and understanding, had not minded if people had their own set of rules that involved their need for privacy.
They were more than happy to respect his boundaries than intrude them, which had been a relief for him. It had taken away all his worries about his boundaries being broken, but not his worry for other things.
It had been a nice thing to think about over and over again. But it had also been a reminder of his single life... His mind dwelled on if he would ever have a partner for the following years to come for life or not. Those negative thoughts had plagued his mind, had rooted themselves at the back of the mind where a bin had been filled past the brim, past its capacity and limit.
He shook his head and stared at the bed in front of him, expression blank as he just observed his lovely bed. He crimged unnoticeably at the sight at how the covers were ruined, the duvet crinkled and desperately needed care. He sughed again, shaking the cringe feelimg out of his system. Literally. Now had not been the time to think about the poor bed needing care. Now was actually the time to think about sleep.
The messed up bed had fallen victim to his fall on it. The material giving in, bouncing him once. He got on the bed properly, slipping undet the covers with his clothes on. He was lazy, and would fix it as soon as he got up. He grumbled as he turned around and set the alarm for seven o'clock, finally feeling at ease with the knowledge of being screamed at by the trusty piece of technology.
Slowly getting comfortable, his eyes slowly fluttered shut, sound nothing but a white noise as it faded out of hearing range, body slowly falling limp as each muscle in it had begun to relax. The last thing to be pulled in the voud was his consciousness. And then, nothing but a dream had been displayed as he slept.
-x-
The front door to the house had opened, and Karl immediately jumped off of the couch to greet the person. He knew who it was, knew who would have spare keys to Quackity and his shared home.
" Sapnap! Welcome home!"
" Wait- KaaaaAAAAAARL!"
He yelled while he had received an answer from the other person, jumping on the them like a little kid eager to hug his mom after not seeing her for a long time which had caused him and his fiance to fall over from the force Karl had put into his running to tackle him.
" Mi amor, don't tackle our fiance."
Quackity's voice rang in both of their ears. Karl couldn't help but laugh nervously in response, while Sapnap shook his head with a broad smile plastered on his face.
" We don't need to tackle poor Saps to welcome him."
Quackity walked up to them both, offering a hand to Karl first and then to Sapnap after he had helped Karl up. He managed to help Sapnap stand up, and all three had went in for a group hug. Love was definitely in the air, as Sapnap began to give them both a small kiss on the cheek, still not ready to kiss them properly as it was something he wasn't used to yet. Relationship and all despite dating for more than three years.
" Love you too, Sugar."
Sapnap had given the nickname because of Karl's sweet personality. He even sometimes called him " Sweetheart". Quackity obviously had a different nickname because of his personality too. He had two nicknames, actually.
Karl gave him " Goldy" because of his golden duck wings while Sapnap called him " Flame" because of his firey personality. Quackity, also, used the nickname " Sweetheart" because of Karl's sweet personality. Sapnap was either " Honey" or " My Ember" because of his beautiful dark brown eyes with hints of bright orange. The brown looked almost black with how dark it was, and the orange was so bright that it had the illusion of making it seem like the cokour had glowed.
" Love you too, My Ember."
" Shall we go eat quickly? I made dinner. How does Wagyu steak with some nice and incredibly delicious truffel butter sound?"
" Aw- but you didn't need to, Flame! I was going to make dinner?"
Quackity playfully gave him a skeptical look, but couldn't help the smile that had crept on his face. Karl also smiled, giggling a bit at the look given to Sapnap by Quackity, but knew that was playful.
" With that three hour drive home? Not a chance. Plus, I made a Michelin Star worthy dish in those hours!"
Sapnap rolled his eyes, freeing himself from the hug. He was being dramatic, but also a loving fiance as he gave in. His shoulders slumped, upper body a bent bent over as he pretended that he had gotten scolded by them, dragging his feet on the ground as he walked into the dining room.
" Fine. You win."
" Just as I thought, Honey. Love you too."
The two followed after Sapnap, and sat at the table. Each separate dish displayed in front of each of them was no joke. The Wagyu steak had been nicely seered, and cooked at low heat like it should be. The marbled texture had still been left behind, but it wasn't as prominent as the raw product. Still a masterpiece. The truffel butter looked so good, giving the dish a nice aroma that would soon be gone.
" George, Wilbur and someone named Foolish have planned to go to my restaurant on Friday. Don't worry, I have asked my executive chef to take charge fpr the day."
" Friday? Holy- that's still in five days. We can go hangout and even catch up before the meet up."
Sapnap commented, picking up the utensils and slicing the delicate meat. A steak knife was not needed to cut this type of steak, as a butter knife acted like a steak knife from how easiky the meat had been cut by it.
" I agree. Who knows! Maybe we can go see that new relic you had found before then!"
" I am sure Fundy wouldn't mind. After all, I think it's a good idea and way to catch up."
Quackity spoke, placing a cut off piece of the steak in his mouth and chewed, before swallowing.
" Plus, Karl and I close early on Wednesdays because that is when the staff are off duty and Karl to fetch some ingredients for his coffee."
" I can get some for the hangout at where you found it too!"
Sapnap finished chewing a piece he had inserted in his mouth while they talked, swallowing it.
" I don't mind it, but I am worried about one of you two getting hurt when we work with some of the machines. Especially if one of the cranes had a tomb or something and it falls on one of you."
" Trust me, I know you are worried but Quackity can easily get me out of there if it were to happen. He is an avian after all, and has fast reaction timing."
" I know, but it's- it's just I don't know about this."
" Sapnap, don't worry. Karl and I won't get close to the machines and stuff. We are anyways way to scared of them and prefer to stick close to you."
Sapnap sighed, but reluctantly gave a curd nod. The two silently celebrated their victory, massive smiles plastered on their faces as they looked at each other. Sapnap gave a nervous smile at his two fiances as they looked at one another, still worrying. He hadn't thought of it, and didn't want to upset Karl with saying no to him. His sweet fiance deserved better than that with his sweet personality.
" But I will have to ask Fundy if it is alright."
" We know, but I bet he is going to say yes because it's us."
Karl was so positive and cheery, bubbly like always when he got too excited. In fact, Sapnap had thought about taking him there on the site with Quackity to another site during the holidays pr on Karl's birthday. He still had to figure it out, but found himself not minding it as long as there weren't any weather issues.
They all silently and slowly ate their dish, talking every now and then or telling each other how their days had gone. It was something if a tradition in the house they had started after Sapnap had come home two weeks after his first visit.
Sapnap found himself relaxed unlike the tense moments on the desert as the people dug in the sand to find ancient cities or anything of the sort. He just had to keep in mind of how he would have to keep a close eye on them when they were going with him to where the new discovery was.
As long as Fundy was fine with it and they kept their promise of sticking close to him, he wouldn't mind letting them come to work with him again sometime in the future.
How bad could it be?
This took so long to write but I had done it. I have conquered the four days with almost non-stop writing. I hope that you had enjoyed the first chapter, and that you all look forward to reading the next one.
Ccs publicly supporting Tommy & Tubbo and/or against Dream: a condensed list
A few days ago, I started a masterlist compiling every content creator (and other notable figures in the community) that I could find who reacted to the Dream-calls-inniters-the-r-slur-and-subsequent-crashout incident.
But since I updated the list in real time as new people reacted, and since I tried to include at least one (1) screenshot per person, it got messy and very long to scroll through. So here’s the organized, clean, final-ish version
Note 1: Take the categories with a grain of salt because I had to sort A Lot of different reactions from different contexts in like… less than 10 boxes. Which I failed at, by the way, there's 12. The "against Dream" category in particular has a big spectrum from jokey to serious. To know what people specifically said, refer to the other list, it has screenshots for almost everyone, or message me.
Note 2: this is wayyy more ccs than I could reasonably keep tabs on, so keep in mind people might've discussed the situation more than I was aware of, or generally could be in a different category. Also, reminder that this is only about what they said/did publicly from January 10th to 20th. Here goes
To catch you up in recent events Badboyhalo was in an Among Us lobby Punz and other controversial creators for like 1hr or smth being chatty and friendly
He then got caught, and gave such a bad apology that Aspen had stated they don't accept it, and people are bring up pervious situations such a Tommyinnit editor lying about the credentials and having assaulted someone m to which Tommy didn't know about as a means of comparison because the Editors apology was better than Badboyhalo's ( and just to be clear you can't really blame Tommy for that because the editor lied about his situation and other important information and since being an editor is a remote job you don't have to see this person on site, meaning that you could be an editor without showing your face or having a proper background done on you because they don't know who you are. A similar shitty situation happened to both influencers such as Dream, Tubbo and other inwhich some of their previous editors had been involved in shady stuff and had not being transparent about any legal trouble they have faced in the past)
The apology was nothing. He said he'd written some notes, then didn't use notes in his 6 minute apology and instead just a rattled the paper around and said that he'd messed up and he was sorry. That's it's.
He highlighted that it was not the lobby creators fault as she didn't know some of the creators personally and no one had informed her of their activities.
However Badboyhalo knew of these people's previous activities because he defended them months ago before they were confirmed
The lobby also highlights that since the creator of the lobby, Lilith (who I don't know personally) didn't have contact with these creators to have invited them, it means that someone in that group of people had been having regular contact with these people despite claiming to have cut them off.
You can see where I'm going with this. You don't invite someone who you this like to a lobby to go play games.
It shows that he was still in contact with minimum Punz
And all he said was "I goofed up"
And many people, myself included, have pointed out that BBH has a tendency do not listen and choose to be willfully ignorant to any situations that concern him or his friends. He will throw one defence in and then act like it never happened.
He did this with Dream, GNF and now it's evident he's doing it with Punz
He's just acting like it didn't happen, how many people are asking him to draw the line between wanting a safe space for his community by avoiding controversy and being completely ignorant to the fact that by doing so he's putting is community in danger
Whether he's going to be allowed to continue being on The Realm SMP is unknown, however many people that have responded to the apology saying that it's improper and a "nothing burger" you are also on the SMP have said that this will not affect to their content and they will continue to stream on the SMP I try to avoid him as to avoid conflicts
His apology:
Credit to twitter user DogyRoses for clipping the original apology as well as his one minute extension on the situation
The Watchers court p3
Martyn: Court back in session, bring the second witness to the stand.
Tommy: Hello Jack!
Jack: ...Hi.
Pearl: Introduce yourself mate.
Jack: Jack Manifold, he/him, owner of the innit hotel.
Tommy: Oy! That's my hotel.
Jack: The previous owner died in prison so I took it.
Tommy: I got better you fucker!
Pearl: ... I see?
Punz: Ehm ehm, we have an examination to do your honurs.
BigB: O-oh right, you can begin your questioning.
Punz: Jack Manifold.
Jack: Punz.
Punz: It has come to the attention of the court that Dream might have taken some extreme measure to take care of... Thomas.
Pearl: That's a kind way to phrase it.
Punz: Perhaps you can shed the light on how much of a necessity they were to mantain the peace-
Tubbo: Objection! Leading the witness!
Grian: Sustained, try and rephrase it if you can.
Punz: ... Alright, do you happen to know if Tommy might have done something to deserve such measures?
Jack: Of course he did.
Tubbo: Jack? What are you doing??
Jack: Telling the truth! Tommy is a selfish asshole who cares about nothing but himself.
*Tommy steps backwards*
Tommy: Fuck you too Jack!
Pearl: Order in the court everyone. Continue with your testimony.
Jack: He is just a pretentious asshole-
Tubbo: Objection! Those are not offences, you are just insulting the prosecution!
BigB: ... Sustained, are there any actual crimes that you remember?
Jack: Wh- he started so many wars!
*Pearl and BigB look at Grian*
Grian: ... You do know who you are talking to right?
Jack: Like the disk war-
Tubbo: That was Dream technically.
Jack: The L'Manberg war!
Tubbo: And that was Wilbur.
Jack: ... Manburg vs Pogtpia.
Tubbo: That was Schlatt...and Wilbur.
Jack: ... ... Doomsday?
Tubbo: Techno. And Phil. And Dream. It wasn't even a war.
Jack: H-he burnt George's house!
*Ranboo walks back in*
Ranboo: T-that was an accident...and partly my fault.
Jack: Well- he... he... he killed me!
.
.
.
Tommy: Uh?
Jack: The fuck you mean "uh?".
Tommy: Did I kill you?
Jack: ... YES! You pushed me into lava!
Tommy: N-no, that was just a vision, that didn't actually happen.
Jack: It did! I had to crawl out of because of you!
Pearl: People, as much fun as this is we are putting Tommy on trial. This is a trial against the defendant, Dream.
Grian: Yes, the reasoning come second and I doubt this witness convinced anyone of Dream's innocence.
Tubbo: Wait!
BigB: ...?
Tubbo: I... Tommy said he tought it was a vision.
Grian: He did, yes.
Tubbo: Jack, did this death happen while Tommy was in exile?
Jack: It...did.
Tubbo: Now the question is, why did Tommy assume it to be a vision? Well, if this death happened during Tommy's exile, one where Dream looked after him the whole time, then I think the defendant is suspect.
Grian: ... Sustained. So, what do you need?
Tubbo: I need to speak to the three people who saw Tommy during exile. I call to the stand Dream, Ranboo and Ghostbur!
Tommy: ... Four.
Tubbo: Uh?
Tommy: I call to the stand MD as well!
Grian: So... when did you meet Tommy, in this "exile" specifically?
Dream: Well, I led him to his exile like I was ordered too.
Ranboo: I... I would visit Tommy sometimes near the beginning... I stopped after a while...
Ghostbur: Oooh! The holiday! I went with him and Dream! He looked sad so I would give him blue!
MD: I don't know man but he looked shitty when I arrived! And that Dream dude was there too man.
Tubbo: What do you remember from that time?
Dream: I took the initiative of making sure Tommy wouldn't escape, my responsability as an admin you see.
Ranboo: Tommy...he used to be so happy when I visited him but then... I stopped.
Ghostbur: We built houses together! It was fun! He used to look at me weirdly but I think we became closer friends after a while!
MD: Let me tell you man. It was a mess over there, seen rats living in better conditions then he did.
Punz: ... Did the topic of ...visions ever come up?
Dream: Oh yes, sometimes he said he would see things that weren't there... I suppose it is my fault I didn't expect it to get that bad.
Tommy: Bullshit.
Ranboo: I... I don't know, I don't remember too well, sorry.
Ghostbur: Visions? I... hmmmm. I think so... It was... Uh what was I saying again? Oh right! I think I heard him mentioning seeing something once!
MD: Oh yes man, it sure did. The kid was terrified man.
Tubbo: What did Dream do?
Dream: ... Nothing more then was already said-
Ranboo: He lied!
Grian: Oh?
Pearl: Go on mate.
Ranboo: He said Tommy didn't want to see me anymore! I remember! It was a lie! You wanted to be alone with him!
Ghostbur: He...well, he sent me out once under the snow. He knows I melt but maybe he forgot... That was the last time I was able to see Tommy for a long time, I got lost I think ...hmmmm.
MD: He killed me. The kid said Dream was his owner and then he killed me!
Tommy: ...
BigB: Do you have something to say?
Tommy: He told me I imagined it... that MD died of overdose and I had hallucinated it.
MD: ... He did what? Fuck you, how dare you!
*MD jumps on Dream*
Grian: ORDER! ORDER IN THE COURT!
*in the jury*
Squiddo: ...
E1!Jimmy: ...oh.
Knight!Grian: Holy hell.
Grian: Is the prosecution satisfied?
Tubbo: Sure am.
Grian: Taurtis, bring the witnesses out please.
Taurtis: On it!
Martyn: Watcher and Listeners, there will now be another break and then will be the last witnesses.
I need to know more about this Tiny!Dream right now
Oh boy, so this is a fun one. I actually sent @error-dream-was-found a bit on this one. Very short, not much written for it, but it is definitely one of my whumpier/angstier concepts
So story background is Dream gets shrunk in prison (either potion, XD fucking around, or some code accident), and Quackity has a field day over it. He takes tiny!Dream to Las Nevadas (with or without Sam’s permission, haven’t decided), and just… turns him into a stress toy.
At some point, they find out Dream has infinite lives. And Quackity is well… Quackity about it. There may or may not be a point where he actually eats Dream because cannibalism is something Q has definitely done before. (This is G/T we’re talking here, vore isn’t off the table, just as a proper horror trope instead of sexual.)
This whole experience, in turn, completely traumatizes Dream. To the point that by the start of the story, when Tommy visits Q and accidentally finds his “hobby” room, Dream is full convinced anyone who sees him is there to torture and kill him just to see if he respawns. Kinda like he’s a little freak show side piece. And he’s legitimately terrified of everyone around him.
And Tommy, being the completely rational and totally winging it, steals Dream from Quackity, books it back to Snowchester, and then passes out after handing Dream over to Ranboo like “peace out, your problem now, good night”. This definitely, totally does not cause Dream to have such a horrific panic episode that he too passes out, totally not. (Tubbo and Ranboo are confused and conflicted, but they really don’t want to hurt such a scared little guy 🥺)
Also, because anytime I write Dream and Michael the piglin together, Michael tries to act as Dream’s protector and bff, that is exactly what happens. As soon as Michael realizes Dream isn’t an action figure, he starts bringing Dream gifts and babying him, even snarling at his dads if they scare Dream. He is very fierce and mighty, do not touch his friend. Michael is the only one Dream fully trusts at a certain point.
Aaaand that’s about all I have. At some point Techno and Phil get involved, Wilbur and Sam are gonna be weird about tiny!Dream, and the server is going to have a meltdown over the fact that their villain is completely harmless now and also traumatized and terrified of everything to the point he can’t even trust those he used to (Punz is devastated, but tries to be understanding about it).
No idea when this thing will be ready for posting, but hey, it’s a fun little project to have on the side. :)
