It all started on February 1st at Fountain Co, and it was great at first, but Yuki's quiet life would start to go downhill from that day on. "Kids! Dinner's ready, it's time to come in!" Yuki screamed out the window, noticing the children weren't playing in their front yard, which was strange because she didn't recall hearing them enter the house. She was nervous as she waited for a response that never came, so she yelled again, but no response. As she walked into the living room, she wiped her hands on her apron, fearing the worst.

Yuki's husband, Blight, would be lounging on the couch, texting his pals on his phone. Yuki approached him, worried, and asked, "Blight, do you know where the kids have gone?" Blight looked up at Yuki with a puzzled expression on his face, puzzled because Yuki was anxious. "All I know is that they went outside to play, why? Did something happen?" Blight asked, and Yuki froze as a million thoughts of her children being hurt flooded through her mind.

"W-We need to find them!" Yuki screamed, leading Blight to jump up and grab Yuki's arms. "Sweetheart, calm down and tell me what's going on!" Blight said, trying to figure out what was bothering her. "There's no time to explain; just get in the car!" Yuki yanked Blight's hands away and dashed inside the kitchen. She'd race over to her car keys, only to realize the butcher knife had vanished. She didn't give it much thought, but she did make a mental note of it. She hastily grabbed her keys and dashed outside into her and Blight's family car as it began to rain.

When Yuki noticed the rain, she feared for her children as well as Blight; all three of them had weak immune systems and could easily get ill, so she swore to find Bluki and Syuki as soon as possible. Yuki was terrified as she drove out of the driveway. She and Blight drove around town for a couple of hours looking for Bluki and Syuki, but they were unsuccessful, so they had to return home. They both got off the car after Yuki parked in the driveway. Blight returned to the house, but Yuki remained outside in the pouring rain.

Yuki would gently raise her head to the sky, tears streaming down her cheeks as the pain inside her became too overwhelming. She was about to lose the two most important people in her life, her children, and she couldn't stop crying at that point. Yuki came to the house after a while, brushing her tears away. When Blight saw Yuki wiping her face, he scowled; he despised it when Yuki sobbed. Yuki usually cried when they first met since her anxiety and depression were much greater than they were at the time, and seeing her like this worried him.

"Babe, can you run a hot bath for me?" Yuki whispered as she was too tired to raise her voice. Blight seemed to understand what she meant as he softly kissed her on the cheek to comfort her a little. "Of course," Blight answered as he went up to the bathroom to make the hot bath. After a few moments, Yuki followed him into the bathroom, where he sat beside the bathtub, just finishing off the bath preparations. "Shall I come into the bath with you? I can wash your hair so you may relax a little," Blight said, his face softly smiling.

"Yes, I'd love it," Yuki answered as Blight rose from the ground and hugged her tightly. Yuki would sigh, content as Blight held her close. The way he held her had always made her feel so secure and comfortable, so she would put her hands upon his chest as she closed her eyes to enjoy this brief moment. They both lay on their bed cuddling up with each other after their bath. Yuki lay there, worried but secure because Blight was beside her, wondering why they would suddenly go missing. "They do run away most of the time, but Syuki always has her phone with her and..." Yuki reflected.

"That's it!" Yuki cried, leaping from her bed. As he watched her retrieve her phone from the nightstand, Blight seemed perplexed by her unexpected burst of energy. "I can just call Syuki's phone, or maybe track her down!" Yuki thought to herself, her hands shivering as she dialed Syuki's number. But Yuki's delight was short-lived when she heard Syuki's ringtone from somewhere in the house. "I'll go look for it," Blight said as he rose from his bed to look for the phone. He returned upstairs to his bedroom after declining the call; he discovered the phone in the basement but lied to Yuki, stating he couldn't find it. Yuki would sigh as she felt herself giving up, then place her phone on the nightstand and go to sleep.

Yuki awoke the next morning to texts from Blight on her phone, telling her that he had already left for work and would return at high noon, which was 12 a.m. Yuki would respond with a cheerful emoji, "Okay Love, have a fantastic that at work!" In all honesty, she is a wonderful wife, but now that she was alone, she couldn't help but pick up a knife and slice it across her thighs. She assumed Blight wouldn't notice, but when he returned home and didn't see her preparing lunch in the kitchen, he realized something was wrong. He ran up the stairs and peered into their bedroom; Yuki was still slicing her thighs with the knife, oblivious of Blight's presence.

Blight stood behind Yuki, casting a shadow on her, which Yuki noticed and swiftly turned around to see Blight looking at her with a sad expression. Yuki's eyes widened with alarm as she realized she had been caught doing something she wasn't supposed to do. "Sweetheart," Blight murmured, his voice quivering. "What do you think you're doing?" Blight said, to which Yuki replied, "It's nothing!" out of terror. "You broke another promise; why didn't you call me before it happened? I would've dropped everything for you and rushed back here," Blight remarked, dropping to his knees and hugging Yuki from behind.

Yuki would tremble as she felt the blood from her cuts stream down her thighs, and Blight would feel her shiver as he held her. Yuki hasn't shivered like this since they first met; it used to happen whenever she was scared. Yuki used to say under her breath, "This wasn't meant to happen again," as if she was angry with herself. Blight quickly snapped out of his reverie and chose to place Yuki on the bed so he could better check the cuts on her thighs.

Blight would sigh as he wrapped a bandage from the nightstand drawers; he kept first aid kits within there so he could have easy access to it if something like this happened. Yuki cast a glance to the ground, too ashamed to look Blight in the eyes. Blight would sit by Yuki and offer her a firm hug once he had finished caring to her wounds. Yuki was overcome with emotion and quickly lay her head on his chest to cry her heart out.

Yuki collapsed from tiredness, and Blight lay next to her on the bed, clutching her closely. He kept himself awake by thinking about many things. "I feel awful, I feel like I should've simply left them alone, I never wanted something like this to happen," Blight reflected as he tightened his grip on Yuki. Remembering how they would scream their pleadings for compassion, prompting him to cry. "Why couldn't I stop myself?" he wondered as his eyelids drooped, and he soon closed his eyes and went asleep.

When Blight opened his eyes in the morning, he noticed Yuki was gone, which worried him. He quickly grabbed his phone and unlocked it, only to discover that there were no fresh messages from Yuki. He became increasingly concerned as he hurried down the corridor, coming across the hallway and seeing Yuki's form at the corner of his eye inside the restroom. He almost stumbled on the mat as he stopped himself and rushed inside the bathroom, relieved to see Yuki was safe and preparing the bath.

Blight would give Yuki a warm smile as he said, "Yes." They had a good time talking and joking together until Blight decided to wash Yuki's hair. Blight would do it for her to give her a sense of comfort and relaxation; Yuki always appreciated this, so she would close her eyes and grin as he scrubbed away. After a time, Blight would rinse Yuki's hair and hug her from behind, resting his head on his shoulder. Yuki became perplexed by this act, facing him and saying, "Is something the matter, love?"

"Ah, they feel much better but they still hurt," Yuki chuckled nervously before adding "I apologize for making you worry." Blight would wrap his arms around Yuki more tightly as he heard her apologize to him, "It's not your fault, it never was and it never will," Blight said softly, raising his hands and patting her on the head. Yuki's cheeks would pucker as she relished Blight's pats. Blight had always made Yuki feel cherished, something she valued.

Yuki would place a bandage around her thighs after their bath, and Blight would depart for work. Yuki was bored at home, so she chose to watch the news on their television. She would notice that Syuki and Bluki were last seen in the forest near their house as she watched. Because of her motherly instincts, she dashed out the door, hoping to see them alive and well. Because it was the rainy season, it was still dark and dismal. Yuki had already run two or three blocks before arriving to the forest.

As Yuki walked into the forest, yelling Bluki and Syuki's names, the bushes began to rustle, but Yuki ignored it because she assumed it was just some harmless animal. A loud and deep growl erupted from behind Yuki, and when she turned around, she saw a large brown bear staring at her with bloodshot eyes. She took a step back, forcing the bear to howl and charge up to her before collapsing senseless on the ground. Yuki studied the bear and hurried away when she noticed it had been shot with a tranquilizer dart.

As she raced, an arrow was shot through her leg, causing her to slump on the ground. She swiftly yanked it out, unfazed, and started running through the trees. She was perplexed as to how she was still able to run, but she couldn't care less because at the very least she would be able to get out this way. She limped as she approached the exit, her feet sliced from the sharp grass and rocks on the ground. She kept going until she arrived home, but Blight was still not there.

She'd grab her phone from the coffee table and contact her siblings and mother in their family group chat, hoping that at least one of them was still awake. The phone rang for a while before someone answered it; it was Mizu, who asked, "Hey Yuki! Why'd you call?" as she opened the video call and showed her face. She sat on her bed with her back against the cushioned wall and a table light shining over her face, wearing her glasses as if she were reading something. "Hey Sis, is Buba there with you?" Yuki inquired softly.

"Yes, but he's sleeping right now; he barely slept yesterday, only 2 hours," Mizu chuckled awkwardly as she pointed the camera at Suu, who was holding his arms above his head. As he slept quietly, his long hair was tangled around the pillow. "Well, do you mind coming over to my house tomorrow? I really need you guys right now," Yuki asked softly, lowering her head. Mizu would agree with a thumbs up before hanging up the call, wanting to continue reading.

Yuki would lean against the couch while putting her phone down; she was tired and needed to sleep. She awoke the next morning to find herself lying down on the couch, rubbing her eyes, puzzled as to why Blight hadn't returned home until she heard someone's voice call out from under the basement. Yuki was afraid that intruders had broken into the house. She would swiftly take the nearest weapon she could find and make her way down to the basement, shivering as she took each step down the steps with caution and her hand sliding against the wall for support.

"Mommy!" cried Syuki from the darkness of the basement. Yuki could see Syuki's face and her eyes lit up with delight, "My baby!" Yuki cried, preparing to sprint down the steps to her, but she would slip and fall hard on the ground. She noticed a big shadow hanging over her before she collapsed.

Yuki would awaken to find herself bound to a chair with ropes. She'd try to lift her arms up but couldn't because the ropes were too securely bound. The light from a light bulb shone on her, while the rest of the room was completely dark. Blight would emerge from the darkness with a cruel smirk on his face and a knife in his hands.

"B-Blight? What is the significance of this?" Yuki yelled angrily at Blight. As he professed his love for Yuki, Blight would push the knife towards her jaw. "But you're becoming too much of a handful for me!" Blight screamed as he walked behind Yuki, pushing her head back by her hair and pressing the knife against her throat. "You!" Yuki exclaimed, but Blight cut her throat before she could finish. "Way to go Blight, your excitement got the best of you," he'd sigh as he let go of Yuki.
