Blue strands of hair hung over the face of a boy whose eye bags were the only thing you needed to see to understand the kind of day he’d been having. But well, that kind of day had become his everyday almost instantly. So, no use complaining to be honest. Not anymore. In fact, he should be grateful he’s here and not six feet under.

A talisman which in hindsight may be just a wee bit too big draped down the side of his head. Practically unremovable.

As always, he was swallowed up by his research. Flipping through different pages of an extravagantly old book. Though albeit it wasn't as interesting as it may seem. His research topic was something he quite frankly, wasn't too fond of.

Ciel Apocalypse. Though not one to judge, he’d received concerning reports from No.5 about his subordinate. And the events that followed that report were rather suspicious. Then again, maybe he just didnt enjoy being talked about behind his back. Who knows?

Still, it was semi-urgent. So it was better to get his research done now than later. But.. for the most part he could find nothing suspicious. No matter how far he dug under the surface, he just.. couldnt find anything.

Maybe this would require an in-person investigation. Where had Luca said the other was taking refuge?

Ah. Right. No.1’s temple. For what reason? He was entirely unsure! But, the information was useful no less.

The small boy-lolita stood slowly, silky blue ribbons brushing against his leg. He yawned, blinking his eyes lazily.

With a hand on his chest, the reaper had just barely made it out of that place with his dignity. He bit his lip, the stream of black blood that now stained his shirt coming to a stop. Damn, he may be immortal, but that still hurt. And it’d definitely leave a mark. What was that kid thinking? Sure, he could have been more on guard, but was there really a reason to stab the guy with his own scythe?

Speaking of which, said scythe was now dull and dirty. Goddamn punk..

For now, he’d have to leave his client behind. Though she was supposed to die, due to that thorn in aside she was now seemingly cheating death. He could hear her heartbeat ringing in his ears.

It was a pretty annoying part of being a grim reaper. Till your client dies, you hear every pump of their heart while on the same mortal plain. In all honesty, it was starting to give him a headache. For mortals; fatal blood loss and a headache? How ironic.

Akira clutched his scythe to his side as he limped down the mountain. It was better he returned via portal further down the mountain so nobody saw.

As he neared a good mid-area of the mountain, in the corner of his eye he noticed sparkles. Turning in the direction of said sparkles, he was met with the sight of a small boy in ribbons a frilly clothes. For some reason, an immense power could be sensed from this kid. Maybe the blood loss had clouded his vision before, because he was sure he’d have sensed much further up the mountain if not for that.

“Huh?..”

“Huh.”

The petite boy stared curiously at the taller man. He wore a suit and tie, as a proper gentleman would, he supposed anyway. He set a hand on his chin and crossed the other over his chest to support it.

“You are .. a reaper, no?” He murmured, “You have the G.R.A badge on your suit, and.. well, that sythe as well.”

Asmodeus watched as the other attempted to straighten himself out. Though as he did his attention was drawn to the very obvious wound in his chest. He glanced from it up into the other’s eyes.

“How.. curious. You’re a reaper, yet you were seemingly bleeding out..” He reached his hand out slowly, “Are you trying to commit suicide?”

This kid.. was extremely direct and on the nose with everything he had to say. It was almost like he wasn’t a kid to begin with.. still, he nodded along.

His gaze traveled with the other’s hand as he reached it out. He flinched back a little at first, though.. slipping from the shorter one’s fingertips was a blue glow. A light of.. almost divinity.

“Akira Mukami, head of the G.R.A.” He frowned at the next question, “No. Let’s just say there was an accident, kid.”

He sighed. It did kind of look that way, huh?.. How embarrassing. Though, it wouldn't be a worry much longer. The aforementioned light had slowly begun to seal the wound and refresh the clothing on his body. He blinked a few times in disbelief. Who was this guy?..

“Are uh.. you an angel?” He cleared his throat, “Man I sound like a chump..”

Asmo quirked a brow to his inquiry. He snickered a little and shook his head.

“Asmodeus Rune. No.2 of the Wind Oni. I may be a disciple, but I’m no angel. Not even close to a saint.”

“Ah. Figures, Didn't think they were hiring them in mini-size anymore ‘nyways.”

“You should still mind your tone..”

“Uh- right, sorry..”

He paused, then nodded his head. This kid did just heal him.. maybe he should keep his snarky comments to himself for now.

“Asmodeus.. gotcha. Need my business card?”

Business card?.. Uhm.. no thank you. I know an easier way to get in contact if I’m really in need of a reaper. Though, I appreciate your offer.

“Now do tell, what did that injury come from?”

Ordered this on Amazon and it arrived on 10-14-21

I believe I’ve stated this a couple of time by now, but I really hate Fortnite...But I like some of the toys, which is why I bought Lynx.

Lynx has a very cyber punk type of Catwoman vibe to her, which is probably the biggest reason why I got this figure.

Decoed primarily in blacks and dark grays she’s made for stealth.

Accessories:

Lynx’s accessories were all wrapped in tissue paper, why  don’t know. I’m guessing it’s more environmentally friendly than the plastic ties, but I couldn’t really tell.

After unwrapping all the accessories Lynx comes with a sythe, an automatic weapon, and a very gothy teddy bear which pegs on her back. I guess that’s her backpack, and why it’s a bear instead of something cat-themes I’m not sure. They’re all pretty cool, and she holds them well.

Ok there were like 9 votes but here is the playlist. Showing a variety of songs from a variety of subgenres. There’s notes about goth music overall and the individual songs which I would really recommend reading under the read more but also you can just listen to it I guess. If there are any songs you like please send me an ask with what the song/songs are and what you like about them and I can recommend more with a similar sound (I might not get to it very fast I’m starting university classes tomorrow so will suddenly be busy probably. But I will get to it eventually).

Notes:

- Probably you’re not going to like all the music even if you’re really going to like goth music – everyone has preferences for subgenres and in a genre with so much variation as goth it’s common to really like some genres and really dislike others. not saying which subgenres I hate at the start in case that dissuades people but yeah there are some.

- Characteristics of goth music:

Default goth band has a guitar, bass guitar, vocals and drums. Synth is also pretty common particularly in the -wave genres. And literally any other instrument can be used as well.

Guitar: usually lower, heavily processed tones often with a sort of indistinct buzzing sound (it’s hard to explain but you’ll be able to recognise it pretty quickly probably). Played in downwards strokes like in punk music. Usually using minor keys, often ominous or almost dissonant chords or keys. In contrast to genres like metal or other rock genres guitar solos are uncommon. The guitar sound is one of the key characteristics of goth music (and probably the main reason it’s my favourite genre :) )

Bass guitar: in the goth rock subgenre often bass actually takes the melodic lead over guitar. Usually goth music has very prominent basslines

Vocals: usually low and generally using a more monotonous singing style but sometimes more dramatic. There’s a kind of distinctive sort of intonation in some deathrock that is also hard to describe but I think it’s pretty easy to recognise after a few songs. Occasionally some ethereal wave is sung in a higher pitch and less monotonous

Drums: usually a slow repetitive, almost metronomic snare drum. Often drum machines are used.

Synth: often high pitched, screeching synth is used as a contrast against the lower guitar tones. The cure’s 100 years is a good example of this. Genres like darkwave always use synth, and occasionally don’t have guitars. Deathrock rarely uses syth, goth rock and etheral wave sometimes do.

These instruments are used to create an ominous/spooky atmosphere

Technically goth music can be about literally whatever as long as it has these instrumental characteristics but it usually tends to be about more ominous or sad themes. Occasionally it is sort of like the Halloween monster stuff that goth music is often stereotyped as ‘I’m a sad vampire sadly vampiring’(usually gothic rock) or ‘AAA! Skeletons!’ (usually deathrock) ‘I had a breakup… so I feel sad. Like a GHOST’ (usually darkwave) but generally it’s not and has a wide range of lyrical content

- Adding onto this, this playlist is mostly stuff I like, and at least all stuff I’ve got through the first 30 seconds of without hating it lol. So despite my best efforts some stuff is going to be very over represented (lower pitched deathrock with interesting instrumentals) and some is going to be probably underrepresented (coldwave or minimal wave ominous monotone stuff, or higher pitched ethereal wave)

- I have auditory processing disorder and generally can’t hear lyrics. Consequently this playlist is much more geared towards people who find instrumentals more important than lyrics in choosing music than the other way around. Similarly, I generally can’t tell what they’re saying. I do try to keep track of which artists are problematic in whatever ways so I don’t accidentally listen to some song then find out the lyrics are all ‘I enjoy violence against minorities’ or whatever. However a lot of stuff it’s like, they have one ep from 2008 on spotify and not many listeners so I possibly wouldn’t have heard. I haven’t intentionally included anything problematic and have avoided most of the bands I’ve heard had problems but please tell me if I’ve missed anything and I'll remove it.

- I’m definitely not a music expert or anything, this is just something I’ve had an interest in over the past 2 years so have picked up information, meaning there might be minor errors in the commentary about the songs (the description of goth music above this is almost certainly mostly accurate though, I’ve fact checked it with a range of sources). There is sooo much misinformation about goth music online :( but once you find some accurate sources it’s generally easy to find more from where they link to or whatever (a good rule of thumb is that if something talks about goth being ‘a mindset’ or goes on about pale foundation and dark eyeshadow or whatever it’s probably not going to be a great source).

First 5 songs: influential songs on the development of goth music from the 4 bands generally considered to have originated goth music.

1 – Bela Lugosi’s Dead: I feel like I had to put that first as in many ways it is the original goth song. Aspects of this song, released in 1979, such as the very dramatic lyrics and the sparse instrumentals went on to start goth music as genre.

2 – Silent Hedges: Bela Lugosi’s Dead is iconic but it can be a bit boring and doesn’t really show the instrumental aspects of goth music super clearly. This song more clearly shows the heavily processed guitar sound that is one of the main factors of goth music, as well as the influence of the bass sound (comes in clearly at about 1:00). Also I really like Bauhaus so am going to break the only one song per artist rule again to put in something of theirs that I think people will find more interesting

3 – Afterhours: First and Last and Always was one of the first albums to clearly define gothic rock as opposed to gothic post punk. This song is a particularly exaggerated example of the very slow, low pitched sound of gothic rock, as well as the influence of bass on the sound in this subgenre. This song also demonstrates the juxtaposition of very low against high instrumentals. (Note: if you google this you may find Andrew Eldritch saying the Sisters or Mercy are not goth. This is not true. He just really doesn’t want to be goth for some reason.)

4 – At night: The Cure did some goth albums and some non goth albums. Usually their album pornography is used as the example of their goth music as it originated the high pitched, screeching synth sound that later became a characteristic of goth music but I think this song is an interesting example of the more ‘crumbly’ guitar and bass sound (particularly in contrast to Afterhours), as well as the very repetitive, consistent drumming. Also shows the importance of instrumentals to goth music, with most of them being louder than the vocals even when they’re both at once (there’s a big misconception that goth is defined by ‘gothic’ lyrics. Well, that would be a big problem because the lyrics are often almost inaudible).

5 - Jigsaw feeling: this is from one of Siouxsie’s more punk/less goth albums but it is a good example of the more dramatic/theatrical singing style and shows the evolution of the goth guitar sound from the punk guitar sound.

Next songs: examples of types of goth music from a range of genres and eras. I’ve often paired them up so it’s clear what sound I’m intending to make an example of through comparison if that makes sense. + some commentary

6 – an archetypical goth song, showing elements such as screeching synth, jangling guitars, strange + slightly ominous lyrics. When all those ‘sounds of’ spotify playlists came out I remember seeing Corpus Delicti shuffled between gothic rock, darkwave, deathrock (definitely not) and even ethereal wave (also nope) so I think that makes it a good overall example. Corpus Delecti is also interesting as a band that is extremely well known among goths but basically never known outside of people who know goth music (as opposed to Bauhaus, Sisters of Mercy, definitely the Cure and Siouxsie and the Banshees who all were pretty mainstream at some points, and goth bands today like London after Midnight or Lebanon Hanover that have become popular among non goth audiences). So this is the song I can think of that works best as a goth litmus test I guess, like if you find this song good or interesting then you probably will like some goth music, if you listen to this and think ‘everything about this sucks and not even in an interesting way’ then maybe it’s not a genre you’ll like much.

7 – Deathrock: the way the instrumentals combine is interesting. Spooky atmosphere.

8 – Gothic rock: the album drowning dreams by the shroud is interesting as it’s primarily gothic rock (which the singing is more like) but the very layered, buzzing instrumentals are closer to ethereal wave imo.

9 – Deathrock/gothic rock. Yay duets.

10 – Darkwave: This kind of darkwave with no guitar is kind of controversial as to whether it is considered goth or not. Darkwave with goth guitar is unarguably goth, and then there’s stuff called darkwave which is basically just synthpop but sad (not goth). There’s a lot of disagreement as to where exactly to draw the line of what darkwave is/isn’t goth, imo I would count darkwave such as this song as goth but some people possibly would not. Seeing as this playlist is intended to show variety in goth music I’m going to be including this kind of darkwave.

11/12: deathrock with anarchopunk influence. Showing the much more dramatic singing style in some deathrock, as well as a slightly different sort of guitar processing

13/14: different sort of deathrock, much more postpunkish (I don’t think that’s a word but whatever). Much more sparse composition, with the guitars quieter in the background.

15/16: on the darkwave/gothic rock boundary: I kind of associate these two songs as part of like, a type of goth music that was particular made in the 1990s/early 2000s which was gothic rock with synth and quite upbeat. Possibly due to to how club based the scene was at the time so a lot of popular stuff was more danceable (compared to something like tsom’s afterhours or more experimental post punk stuff). Often they have purple albums.

17: gothic post punk/coldwave with no wave influences (though the irregular no wave rhythms are seen more clearly on their album violet phase, but this album has gother instrumentals so it’s a better example). But it’s possible to hear it kind of, if you listen to the sounds of the drums, which have much more variation in rhythm than is typical for goth music. The juxtaposition of the rhythm of the drums and the instrumentals creates an interesting slightly disorientating effect.

18: deathrock (kind of between the very dramatic deathrock such as 11, and the sparser more hollow deathrock in 12/13). shows the deathrock vocal intonation thing, and higher pitched singing than in gothic rock.

19/20: darkwave I guess, kind of dark electronic or industrial influenced (I guess all darkwave is electronic because of the synth but these songs use more of a range of electronic effects than generally in darkwave). Industrial (e.g. nine inch nails, skinny puppy is not goth, but as it is a dark post punk genre that branched off at a similar time to goth, lots of people who like goth also like industrial so there’s often slightly industrial influenced goth or goth influenced industrial, and goth + industrial events are often held including both genres). In Dhokebaaz, the guitar and drums are definitely goth music, but the shaky background noise (most obvious at the beginning) is more industrialish to me. Kinbalu has the same sound but more louder, and no guitar so more hmm does it count as goth.

21/22: gothic rock. In contrast to the more monotonous vocals in gothic rock with more of a sisters of mercy influence, Fields of the Nephilim was another influential early gothic rock band that used a similarly low, but more raspy sound of singing. They were also more metal influenced. A lot of gothic rock is bands that try to sound very similar to either tsom or fotn. But they often do sound good so oh well.

23/24: post punk/darkwave. Similar sound.

25: deathrock, genuinely obsessed with the instrumentals! they are very crumbly.

26: deathrock. More dramatic vocals.

27: goth rock, shows the influence of other rock/metal genres in gothic rock in comparison to other goth subgenres: they have significantly less processed sounding guitars than most other goth stuff.

28/29: darkwave, with more minimal instrumentals and a really clear and noticeable repeating drum sound. In 27 the sparse instrumentals create a very haunting atmosphere with enough variation that it remains really interesting 28 is similar but with slightly more monotonous vocals but louder drums.

30: Goth post punk I think the ink bats are also psychedelic rock influenced? Their songs are really interesting and varied, and I think this song really demonstrates this with the variety of melodies and stuff that changes somewhat across the song (but their songs are all very different sooo you should probably listen to the whole album. Where’s that post that’s like ‘people who are pretentious about music are so important because they will go on about ‘oh you really need to listen to [someone’s weird experimental project]’’ anyway that was me in 2021 getting the city with the most listeners on spotify for the ink bats to my city because despite knowing like 0 goths irl because I was forcing everyone to listen to the ink bats. And they’re named after bats how nice yay bats.).

31: Deathrock: I can’t tell if the background noise is vocals or electronics? Kind of unusually fast and upbeat

32: gothic rock, with some darkwave elements e.g. some synth, the vocals blending more into the background which idk if it’s specifically a darkwave thing instead of goth rock or if it’s just more common in darkwave.

33/34/35: putting 3 songs in this example because the lead singer of 33 and 35 is the same person and the bands sound kind of similar. Deathrock with particularly buzzing sounding instrumentals, and voice intonation that also fits with the buzzing sound if that makes sense

36/37: ethereal wave, these two songs are particularly opera influenced. Cocteau twins also went on to influence shoegaze, but garlands was their goth album that heavily influenced the formation of ethereal wave (kind of like the cure, they had some goth stuff and a bunch of not goth stuff)

38: minimal wave/darkwave

39: shoegaze influenced

40: deathrock, kind of like 13/14 but with louder instrumentals. The killed by deathrock compilation albums particularly have this sound of very post punk sounding deathrock. (compilation albums like this are a great way to find new goth music because they generally have kind of similar sounds depending on who is compiling it, so if you like one song on it you’ll probably like more but they also introduce you to a wider range of bands, personally I really like the psychic eye records ones e.g. https://psychiceye.bandcamp.com/album/altar-of-shadows because it turns out me and the person compiling them have very similar music taste but there are a LOT out there and that’s a way that I would highly recommend for finding more goth music. Because if you’ve got this far down the playlist you probably like goth music. https://obscuraundead.bandcamp.com/music has a bunch of free to download compilations of a really wide variety of music so that’s also a good place to look)

41/42: ethereal wave but more goth rockish instrumentals than in 36/37. actually the second song is a bit stranger but I can’t be bothered to separate them now.

43/44: darkwave. In between the very upbeat fast stuff with a tendency to have purple covers, and the more minimalist stuff.

45: darkwave/post punk, also inspired by and using instruments from Indian classical music

46: like synth deathrock or something? Disco influenced goth, the saxophone is interesting and works really well imo

47: very electronic. There’s a lot of debate about whether boy harsher is counted as goth but seeing as they’re pretty well known in

48: darkwave/goth rock, interesting how the instrumentals and vocals blend together so much

49: darkwave mixed with trip hop

50: post punk, more upbeat sounding

51: post punk, more dramatic vocals than usually in goth, and the vocals are emphasised over the instrumentals more than usual

52/53: crumbly deathrock. I mentally sort deathrock into stuff that sounds buzzing, crumbly or hollow. Um it’s hard to explain but I feel like you can hear it.

54: Darkwave, more varied drums make a much faster pace, the way the different instrumentals combine is really interesting

55/56: more purple industrialish darkwave/goth rock from the early 2000s. However these ones have a different more spooky electronic sound as opposed to an upbeat sound

57: darkwave, quite upbeat and electronic (this song was stuck in my head for so long)

58: goth post punk, the effect of 2 people speaking at the same time in a similar tone is really interesting

59: more punk influenced goth, kind of like 11/12 but with a quieter sound, the range of instruments playing slightly different things at the same time is interesting

60: darkwave, with variety of genre influences (this is the darkwave project of Moira Scar), really interesting distortion and stuff

61: minimal wave of the sort that is currently very popular on tiktok (extremely subjective personal music opinion here so feel free to ignore but I find this kind of stuff sooooo boring sorry. What’s the point of making goth music if you aren’t going to be at least a bit weird about it. )

62: deathrock I guess? Well I definitely can’t say that this band isn’t being weird enough

63: ethereal wave. Love the distortion effects on the instrumentals particularly right at the start. Accidentally ended up putting one of my favourite songs right at the end oops.

Perturbator-Lustful Sacraments

Red Riders

No one seems to know where Red Riders, a cold chrome band that one heard off before, came from. It's like they just appeared one day and got Night City by storm. But all three of them, Mona [bass, vocals], Varhe [vocals, guitar], and Nam [drums] happened to be very attractive and had a distinctive aesthetic. And what punks of Night City love the most is some good, strong aesthetic.

It also happened that after their debut during The Silverhand’s Battle of the Bands in November 2067, Sylgie, owner of Samurai Club, the newest, hottest NC scene at the time, contacted them with a sweet, sweet deal. Sylgie didn't have much experience in actually managing bands, but she knew the right people in NC and was determined to make Red Riders big. And even tho later Riders accepted a pact with the devil that is a contract with an industry giant MSM MediaCorp, they never shied away from social commentary and managed to keep their cool and style.

The first album, named simply Red Riders came out barely four weeks after the Silverhand's Battle. It was a real reminisce of that first concert - lyrics full of lack of understanding of the world as it is and rebellion against it, all basically screamed into the microphone and ears of the listeners by main vocalist Varhe. Powerful bass and drum rhythms, the actual definition of what cold chrome is about, dirt and cold sounds that might be more at home in Totentanz than in more mainstream clubs, but somehow it just worked. With songs like Where the FUCK am I?? and WTF even is this place playing almost on the loop in radio Vexelstrom, Red Riders' first album was the hit of winter '67/'68.

The band played many gigs all around the city and at least once or twice even in some forgotten bars in Badlands, and in the meantime, they partied and made connections with other bands and influential people in Night City. In the summer of '68, they released ep PROJECT MAYHEM, which really solidified Riders images as the drink&riot kind of band. Especially after the summer music festival organized by various radio stations in the city, from which the band was kicked off from the night before their concert, but returned and played their set anyway. It was Red Riders' first performance in NCRadioFest, but thankfully not the last one - they returned for the second time, tho not in the full lineup, in '72.

In '69 premiered their second, vague, autobiographical concept album  -  ETERNAL WINTER. It was still weird and exciting, and only raised more questions about where the Riders even came from. Around this time it was also revealed that the group has a contract with MSM, which to this moment was kept secret. Fans started to turn away from music that was making them feel something, but all it took to bring them all back was the concert in Reconciliation Park that Riders played in the spring that year. It was more of a spontaneously thrown together wild music fest - on makeshift stage played with Riders some other more alternative, but successful bands like The Cartesian Duelists. Between the songs, Riders addressed their fans and the controversy and then premiered their upcoming single, Tramore Bitches, with some really poignant lines: "We care, seriously, but this city is a bitch, so we won't say no to the eddies we don't deserve." Folks saw that while yeah Riders have some backup, they still will do whatever they want and not much really can stop them. Single Tramore Bitches went gold, and with some help of corporation Avera, CEO of whom was a close friend with Nam, a somewhat edited and remixed version of the song became the official theme song of CyberOlimpics hosted by Night City 2070.

Before the fall of '70 really hit Riders announced that they're going on hiatus - they wanted some time for themselves and their personal projects. Folks were crying and dying on the streets, but Riders were fast to assure that it doesn't mean the end of the group, and soon after came out Mona's first solo album. Varhe released a few eps as well, and only Nam strayed away from the music, only sometimes guesting on other artists' projects.

The only thing that surely could be called their group project during that time was a three-part album curated by Mona. Forgotten Dreams was a collection of covers of almost lost to the DataKrash songs from the beginning of the XXI century - each rearranged and performed by different artists from Night City. With the only exception being the Riders themselves who, in duets and solo, and as a whole group, covered 10 of them. The first part of this project came out in '71 in spring, and the second in fall, but thank's to the whole Digital Dead Bodies controversy that one passed by almost completely unnoticed.

In January '72 Varhe played in Unplugged for Justice in Reconciliation Park, which despite the fact that he was the only Rider at the time in Night City, was recognized as Red Riders severing all their ties with Avera and Ascalon Club, and denouncing both. In the summer Forgotten Dreams III was released and by the end of the year, it finally got all the awards it deserved. The New Year concert was even announced and Samurai Club started selling ticked for the gig when the news of ripper gang targeting and kidnapping Mona came out, and even tho the whole thing ended more or less good, the show was called off.

Red Riders still managed to surprise everyone and on New Year's Eve they streamed their new year wishes and right before the midnight hit, they announced a new album, My photographer is a vampire out and free to download from their website. And as if that wasn't enough of surprises, barely a minute into 2073 they released also their last album. Also digital, also free, also unaffiliated with MSM MediaCorp, and titled Something ends, something begins. Their last concert happened to be during NCRadioFest '73, which played only Nam [on syths] and Varhe [bass] with additional musicians from different groups. And with that bittersweet goodbye, Red Riders officially disbanded, and all dropped from the music scene disappearing to whatever place they came from. For a hot second, some people claimed that they still saw Nam and Varhe in NC clubs, but by the end of the year, it was almost as if Red Riders were never there in the first place.

Caiden really likes pop music that’s popular at the time, but they do enjoy some disco music from time to time. If it has syths then they immediately like it.

Jade is a fan of classical music and acoustic music, sort of folkish songs. They only like classical music because they grew up with it, but if they had to choose they would choose folk and acousting songs.

Bo likes hip-hop and rap music, which is honestly not very surprising. But they aren’t very picky with music and tend to like any type of genre. They enjoy rock from time to time too.

Tori obviously likes punk and some metal from time to time. They like angry songs, where you can scream without an excuse.

Jay likes indie music, or classical music too. They like soft melodies, songs that you could sleep too. But much like Bo, they aren’t very picky and you can see them enjoy Tori’s music from time to time.

Jun adores musicals and pop music. Anything that you can sing along to or dance to. They come from a very musical society and parentage, so it comes natural to them.

A few gothamites ask him how specific loved ones are doing/if they are missed, and being from the Infinite Realms makes it pretty easy to talk to the dead

I just find this concept entertaining, even more so when you consider the whole ‘Be Not Afraid’ aspect of certain depictions of angels, which means any creepyness/Eldritch vibes could be passed off as that (Or at least from what I understand of it, I’m not religious but anything Strange or Other tends to catch my interest)
