I haven't updated this in quite some time, it's just that I don't think anybody seems to care :(

some backstory for those interested: the MEDIUM5 gals aren't Divas in the true sense, rather they reverse transforms into their civilian forms as disguises while their "Diva" forms are their true forms.

They are not from Earth, but are from the peaceful planet Zero. They travel other galaxies searching for potential threats to their planet, but now they have sensed evil on Earth, with the mysterious Minus following them...

PROJECT DIVA: COSMIC SOUND

Xingchen / Diva Stardust

The bright and energetic leader of Zero's main defence team. While she is very brave and kindhearted, she has a tendency to stick her nose in other people's business even when it doesn't involve her. She is often described by others as having "infinite possibilities". She can travel through space using her hair and is able to carry others with her using telekinesis. She possesses a star tetrahedron that she can use as a shapeshifting weapon, or to fire beams of holy light. Her symbol is the double tetrahedron of Metatron's Cube.

Chiyu / Diva Phoenix

Xingchen's brave and beautiful older sister, though can be vain and selfish at times (she's at least honest about it). On Zero, she is also known as a famous fashion model and runway star. She has a candle that she can use to shoot or blow fire at her enemies. Her symbol is the tetrahedron of Metatron's Cube.

Shian / Diva Forest

Xingchen's youngest sister who is 14 going on 40. While she means well, she is very bossy and controlling, often the one giving commands during combat. She is insistent that her plans are the best and knows what best for everyone, making it difficult to win an argument with her. She uses a bow that can shoot arrows of energy that can paralyze her enemies or bring dying plants and fauna back to life. Her symbol is the hexahedron of Metatron's Cube.

Cangqiong / Diva Heaven

The eldest of the Cosmic sisters, she often prioritizes logic over emotion, though she is still willing to use the latter when a situation calls for it. Despite this, she is never harsh. Her voice has a soothing effect, and can put her opponents to sleep with a lullaby. She can use her fan to generate strong winds and can cut through the air. Her symbol is the octahedron of Metatron's Cube.

Haiyi / Diva Waterfall

The second youngest of the sisters, she is chatty and quirky, but somewhat awkward around strangers. She also has a bit of a mischievous side, often playing small and harmless pranks other her friends and sisters, but dangerous ones on her enemies. She uses a trident to summon whirlpools and tides of water. Her symbol is the icosahedron of Metatron's Cube.

Muxin / Diva Celeste

He is the team's assistant and advisor. He tends to stay out of combat despite having a weapon, as he is terrible at fighting and despises violence. He is somewhat of an idealist with a fondness for history, and loves learning about other planets' cultures. Because of this, the team often looks to him for advice on human customs and how to blend in with them. He is mainly the one breaking up any arguments between the team, much to his dismay. He uses a staff and his symbol is a sphere.

Yongye / Minus

A young woman with a strange connection to Xingchen. She has secretly tailed the Cosmic team to Earth with intentions of getting in their way (or as she puts it, "having a little fun with them"). While she isn't necessarily evil, she believes she can come and go however she pleases, which has gotten her into trouble in the past. Other than this, she is very inquisitive and calm-minded. She wields a scythe and her symbol is the dodecahedron of Metatron's Cube.

Haiyi is a chinese synth developed by Beijing Photek S&T Development Co., Ltd.. she was initially created as a private utau, for which the vb was finished on 2 feb 2018, and the character as a whole plus her first demo were on 12 feb 2018. on 6 sep 2019 haiyi was released for synthv, and on 10 jul 202 for synthv studio. her character birthday is 22 jul though. shes voiced by Huazheng Anly, and illustrated by ATDan. haiyi is 15yo and 155cm tall. she is aprt of Medium⁵. Cangqiong, Chiyu, and Xingchen are her older sisters, and Shian is her younger sister. haiyi originates from ZERO as well. Quadimension is "A Chinese music label mainly featuring Vocaloid and SynthV. Commercially attached to Beijing Photek S&T Development Co., Ltd. They collaborated with Shanghai HENIAN Information Technology Co. Ltd. to create a voicebank for their mascot and first Chinese VOCALOID, Xingchen (Stardust). MEDIUM5 is one of their projects."(from Quadimension's vocadb page)

Medium5 2050 may not actually release unfortunately. The last piece of news we got regarding the game was that Quadimension was putting the production of it on an indefinite hiatus.

However, I have a lot of headcanons and I know basically all of the lore (so far)! If you ever want a lore-dump, I guess I’m right here to post about it lol :D

nothing much to say here other than . i only chose characters i already knew and enjoyed im NOT drawing some random blorbo ive never seen before .

anyways . yellow , cyan and blue were such a bitch to find characters for . i went through like 4 different iterations of blue until i decided on lunar and pipimi , and originally lagoona was supposed to be phos from houseki no kuni until i swapped them to BLUE for their post moon look but then  idecided that i didnt want to draw them so . man . sucks to suck i guess

purple is definitely my favourite here i LOVE my little fischl headcanons . she shouldhave had a tooth gap and freckles and purple streaks its literaly SO HER !!!! . speaking of headcanons . i had so much trouble with ichigos pose i hope it doesnt show too much , and i think that hispanic japanese ichigo is awesome and cool . fuck you

So I’ve seen some stuff on Bluesky about some of the Medium5 girls, and I’m just gonna fill in tumblr about it cause I haven’t seen it anywhere else on here.

- HaiYi AI announcement. I have seen this tbh, just wanted to say I’m super excited and that she has really cute fangs. I love it when character designs have jagged teeth or fangs

- ChiYu AI postponed. Apparent her voice provider didn’t feel comfortable with how she sounded and they delayed her to fix it. Honestly I’m happy with this decision, good on both the dev team for delaying it and the voice provider for saying something

- Xingchen redesign. She’s gonna look a lot more like her vocaloid and I’m very happy about that, it’ll be nice to see her in something other than a glorified swimming costume, plus it looks cute so far.

- Lastly, Yongye isn’t Minus. For the unaware, Medium2050 is a game first and Minus is the main antagonist and seems to be a mirror of Xingchen (hence Stardust Infinity and Stardust Minus). However, Yongye, from the best of my understanding, is a separate concept from Minus, they look similar and sound similar and have similar names but aren’t the same. Yongye isn’t even a part of 2050. However, the purposes of SynthV, Yongye the AI bank is the same as Minus the standard bank. For the purposes of Medium2050, Yongye is non-canon and it’s just Minus.
