I rearranged some of my bathroom plants to accommodate the new syngonium trellis:

That was the first step in growing a huge syngonium podophyllum varieties. I have some aurea cuttings rooting but still have a pot because I haven't gotten to admire it on it's own for long enough yet. I traded for some more albo cuttings to add in. I just got syngonium milk confetti, strawberry milk, and Regina red. I definitely want to enjoy each of those on their own for a while. If anything I'll separate a baby whenever it is I repot them specifically to grow to put in my variety pot.

I kept seeing Syngonium Albos so I bought a starter and it’s so cute!

Soooooo maybe I did something stupid. Maybe triple stupid, but no changing that at this point.

During rest times I watched lots of plant videos and got reminded of how much I wanted a variegated Syngonium. When I last checked in 2021 or so it was pretty rarely offered here and pretty pricey too, so I decided to wait. Now I checked again and there were a few shops selling them for pretty good, normal prices. Not many plants, though, so I got fomo tbh 🥲 and ordered it from the same shop I'd ordered my Syngonium erythrophyllum. DESPITE THE TEMPERATURES. And despite my ongoing thrips problem, and despite my financial situation. Triple stupid, like I said. 🙈

Shipping was very quick, though, the plant arrived in around 12-14 hours or so and it had a heat pack. The plant itself looked good when I got it. Some leaves have a few blemishes, especially the white parts, but overall it looks good. The soil was moist inside and a little dry on top, so perfect. The only thing I'm a bit concerned about is that the moisture inside the pot got pretty chilly (maybe would have benefitted to have the heat pack directly at the pot considering the temperatures). Luckily temperatures during the night seem to have been just above freezing. I think it's going to be alright, but we'll see what happens over the course of a week.

If not, it's just my own stupidity tbh 🥲😅 But keeping all fingers crossed the plant will be fine anyway!
