Okay all my syglose peeps I have a question:

I’ve been working on ch3 and it’s like nearly 3k and I’m only like halfway done so I want y’all’s opinion

I’m a slow writer as y’all know lol (sorry it’s been so long!!) and since I just finished spring break, I’m working on my willex week fic, and I’m not sure how much time I’ll have the next few weeks (plus syglose might get pushed aside for my Big Bang fic later) so I’m not sure how long an update might take

But even tho I’m not at the ~planned~ ending of the chapter there’s still a good place where I could end the chapter satisfyingly so y’all tell me: would you prefer a shorter (than it’s supposed to be) update in the next few days and a possibility of a longish wait or would y’all prefer to wait longer and get the big chapter I originally planned

Not that I would spoil anything ever no of course not but ch2 is pretty much 2k words atm and it’s just all angsty so far so buckle up bc it’ll be a ride ;)

🦝 - what writers/creators inspire you?

So many writers inspire me wow. A huge chunk of the way I improved my writing from when I was younger was reading other fics and books and when I found those pieces of writing or smth that I liked and didn’t see in my own work I just tried to like recreate it in my own writing lol and it worked ig bc my writing is so much better than it was a few years ago. Also just like other writers updating their fics inspire me to write when I’m not feeling particularly motivated

🦜 - what is your writing process like?

Not that chaotic considering I’m me lol. The process usually is: I get an idea/inspired by a post, outline the basic plot points and ideas for some plot points on a doc, and by then I usually have an idea on how to start the fic so I just start writing. I have to write linearly tho lol bc having to write towards a pre written scene usually feels too forced for me and I don’t like the product nearly as much

Okay so spy gays might be a little misleading lol but that’s how it started out in this ask so yeah. Anyways it’s my wip that I’m writing/posting at the moment, syglose (sometimes you gotta lean on someone else)!! Basically it’s just vigilante Willie, his neighbour Alex, and their dumb pining adventures (yes there’s more plot but I haven’t posted that bit yet so can’t go into all that lol ;) ) and you can find the first two chapters here!

This one. Well there’s another bit I might like a bit more but it’s a lil spoilery and it’s like 50/50 dialogue and narration but this one has to be my next fav bc was I projecting heavily while writing this? Yes yes I was and I love it

Usually I just do song lyrics that vaguely fit lol like “I wanna cry, I’m calling out” and “it’s never straight no” for a later one ;) but @girlboss-molina gave me the idea for the title of ch2 and “be gay, fight crime” was just too good not to pass up

Oooohh this one was hard to choose (and they were both soft willex lol)

Alex giggled - he giggled, that inconsiderate asshole - and they were 99% sure their brain melted right there on the spot. Logically, they knew they should probably leave before someone decided that Alex was a friend of the vigilante and therefore a target, but gay brain was louder and really, really wanted to make Alex laugh like that again.
