Seth Adham Curry (August 23, 1990) is a basketball player for the Charlotte Hornets. He played college basketball for one year at Liberty University before transferring to Duke. He is the son of former NBA player Dell Curry and the younger brother of NBA player Stephen Curry. He ranks eighth in NBA history in career three-point field goal percentage.

He is the son of former NBA player Dell Curry and former Virginia Tech women’s volleyball player Sonya Curry. He grew up in Charlotte, while his father, Dell, played for the Charlotte Hornets. His father would take him and his brother to his games where they would shoot around with the team in warm-ups. He is a graduate of Charlotte Christian School where he was a three-year starter for the Knights’ basketball team. In his senior year, he averaged 22.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assists while shooting 52 percent from the field. At the end of the season, he earned all-conference, all-state, and first-team SAA All-American accolades. In his three years on varsity, Charlotte Christian amassed a 105–24 overall record including a state final appearance in 2006. He was on the Charlotte Christian academic honor roll all four years.

He married former professional volleyball player Callie Rivers (2019), daughter of his former head coach Doc Rivers and sister of his former Duke teammate Austin Rivers. They have two children. Wardell Stephen Curry Sr. (born June 25, 1964) is a former basketball player. He played in the NBA (1986-2002) and retired as the Charlotte Hornets’ all-time leader in points (9,839) and three-point field goals made (929). He works as a color commentator on Charlotte Hornets television broadcasts. He is the father of NBA players Stephen Curry and Seth Curry.

Born in Harrisonburg, Virginia, Curry was raised in Grottoes and played high school basketball at Fort Defiance. He finished as the all-time leading scorer in school history and was named a McDonald’s All-American. He played baseball, and won state championships in both sports; he was selected by the Texas Rangers in the 1982 Major League Baseball draft.

He was inducted into the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame.

He was named an assistant coach of the NBA’s Charlotte Bobcats, but he stepped down before the season began so that he could attend his son’s basketball games. He started working as a commentator, alongside longtime play-by-play announcer Steve Martin, for the Charlotte Bobcats.

He was the recipient of the Bobby Jones Award at the Athletes in Action All-Star Breakfast, which is held each year at the NBA All-Star Weekend.

He appeared in a Minor League Baseball game for the Gastonia Rangers of the South Atlantic League.

He and his wife, Sonya (née Adams), founded the Christian Montessori School of Lake Norman, a preschool in Huntersville, North Carolina.

He established a charitable foundation, the Dell Curry Foundation, which is a youth-oriented program in Charlotte, North Carolina. The foundation runs five learning centers in Charlotte to provide educational training and drug abuse counseling.

He married his college sweetheart Sonya (1988). They have three children, Stephen, Seth, and Sydel. Stephen is the starting point guard for the Golden State Warriors. That’s what I’m saying!

I’m sure it’s frustrating for Sydel to be primarily known as Steph’s little sister when she’s a fully grown adult who owns her own business.

BUT SETH. That man had such a hard road to the NBA after getting injured his senior year of college, and when he finally makes it (something so few people are able to do) he’s still primarily know as Steph Curry’s younger brother.

And Seth is a really good player, he might even be better than his dad was. But since his brother is literally a generational, once in a life time, top ten player, he’ll never measure up.

I’m sure they’ve all probably gotten over it or gotten used to it, otherwise they wouldn’t be as close as they obviously are, but there’s probably still some frustration as well.
