I dare you to switch everything off for as long as you can and stop stealing boredom from yourself and your children, because boredom is often where inspiration, solutions and inventions come from — if only we’d slow down, disconnect and listen. Clever targeted marketing is conditioning us to fear boredom, to avoid it at all costs and to actively seek stimulation all the time, but it exhausts us cognitively and never allows our energy levels to restore — which is probably why you feel tired all the time. Humour me. Switch everything off, keep a notepad and pen close by, invite boredom to enter and discover what eventually bubbles to the surface of your consciousness. (I solved the issue by shutting the pc down and switching off the psu for 30 seconds. okay yeah sure uninstalling and reinstalling all the rgb software and restarting the pc seven times did absolutely nothing but a simple shutdown and psu switchoff fixed it immediately)

how is it that every single pc component manufacturer's rgb software is completely worthless garbage

I had all my crap set up all nice and it was fine for two days, then today I boot up my pc and turn the rgb profile and my gpu's decided to piss itself for no reason (every single rgb effect just lights up the whole strip with one color at the same time no mater what the effect is)

(also yes I know rgb is stupid but I wanted a trans theme because hehe and now it's just borked)

(what it was was the ram and gpu were aqua that would have a bit of pink flow through the length of each rgb strip periodically but now the best the gpu can do is fading between pink and aqua because screw me I guess)

I've absolutely no idea what caused the gpu rgb to spontaneously decide not to work properly but y'know. fine. whatever. neither icue nor aura can get the gpu to do a wave effect but some random guy's third party program (openrgb) can sorta do it (I can't figure out how to get the pink to flow across aqua but I can at least get the rgb to actually do wave effects across the strip without a backing colour)

I guess I should count my blessings or whatever that the ram rgb still works properly
