Decided to watch a “found footage horror film” posted to youtube called Milk & Serial and i’m not even 3 minutes in and it’s so bad bro i actually burst out laughing at how bad it is i can’t wait to watch this
#sid rants#sid watches#gd i love bad found footage movies#they have all the elements of how to make a ff horror movie but they can’t actually grasp it#they don’t give any real justification for continuing to film#the camera angles act like they’re sloppy to seem like a person holding a camera but they’re too perfectly centered on the action-#-to be believable#the camera will also be right in someone’s face while the camera operator is trying to talk to them#like no one is going to take anyone seriously that is recording them that close#or when people pretend they can’t see a camera if/until the plot demands it when it should be in plain view#hell even the thing they’re recording on this movie is not warranting being recorded this extensively#also no excuse is given for the jump cuts bc it isn’t the camera switching on and off when the operator does#but also if it’s ’found footage’ why would it have been edited?#basically they thought making a ff movie would be easier so they did it#and it was not well executed

#i can get the a i need for my online class after all!!!!!!#eeeeeeeeeeeeee#i just have to do 2 things and I'm gonna get the a#then I'll get my full amount of funds instead of half#I'm so excited#i mean first i have to do things for my in person class for that a but that one is super easy#this is such a gift and i don't know what deity did this#i don't worship any luck deities or ones associated with money or fortune or knowledge so idk#like all of mine are chaos and revelry and trickery other than one#but that one is like motherhood and stuff and i worship her to get the comfort of a divine mother#anyway whatever deity decided to blast my ass with fortune i love you#also i got what i needed to up my financial aid for the upcoming school year so double fortune#I'm vibrating with excitement#i may not be getting anywhere in my job search but my bank account won't be negative and I'll have the grades i wanted#life is beautiful today#i also got my doctor to switch me to gel for my t so i won't have a bad reaction hopefully and i see the gastroenterologist tomorrow#i'll get the swallowing problem dealt with soon even if i have to get a camera shoved down my throat again#and my college is doing a free tuition thing that while i don't think i qualify for will still be really good for other people who need it#and my dad leaves town for 2 weeks in the morning#I've just had a ton of good things happen in a row#also i got to see the living tombstone on Saturday and i swear that fixed the funk i was in from what i had to do last week#and i learned sweet tea doesn't taste like pure sugar so it's actually decent#damn I'm feeling good#anyway happy rant over#go be gremlins#and as always#drink water you heathens

WE DO NOT CARE AND RESPECT HER AS MUCH AS ANYONE ELSE.”#even the bad guys hear about womens' rights movements and are like “???? what is this”#it's not perfect#like at one point the women stage a revolt and forcibly switch gender roles in the emerald city#and the men find out how little they know about housework#and the women just get bored from having nothing to do#so they switch back#which is a little odd#but this was from the early 1900s so ig you can't have everything#i couldnt put my finger on what bothered me about the movie#until i thought about this#like obviously the characterization is off but the VIBE is off too

Yeah. It's Christmas now.
I went a bit insane baking last minute cookies today. It felt very therapeutic, though.
The amaryllis were a gift from my cutflower wholesaler when I went there with a plate of cookies earlier this week, to say goodbye.

#in this case from film to digital#i would provide an example from breaking bad as well but it seems the version i haves incompatible with my laptop -_-#these are seasons apart btw they didnt do it in a single episode. that would be mad#the breaking bad example is less dramatic. but they do it with an episode that picks up from exactly where the last one left off#if you noticed the switch from hand-held to smooth cameras it was then#the difference between what film and digital can do is like night and day to me#i often prefer film bc it gives this sort of. i dunno. it looks less real so it feels more real#do you get what i mean?#you dont want to see exact life on a screen. you want a beautiful filter#i dunno#it makes it feel more emotionally real to me

Ok honestly I realized the way I phrased my comment didn’t actually put across my intentions.
What I mean is that so far, Diamant is the only damn man who’s actually attractive enough for me to look at, lol.
Usually in a FEH game there’s a good solid three, maybe four guys who catch my eye. So far Diamant’s the only one because I’m so fucking starved for a man who looks like he’s at least passed puberty in this game. All we have so far is him and Vander.
(And no Boucheron doesn’t count, he looks like a pre-schooler’s head on a pro-wrestler’s body, I hate it)
