Berry sighs softly as she stares at her exposed stomach in the mirror. It’s been months since she had the baby, but the after effects of the c-section are still present to this day. Namely the large, ugly scar it’s left down her middle. 

Oh, she knows she’s supposed to be grateful. This body let her carry her child, the love of her life. It lets her nourish that love every day. But sometimes, when she’s alone, she just can’t help but feel a certain way. And that certain way is not positive.

When the door opens, Berry sighs dramatically and adjusts her leggings and her shirt. “Don’t look at me,” she says, knowing it’s Jaehwan behind her, likely with their child. “I’m hideous.”
