Thank you for noticing my love for Seventeen!! I mean, it's pretty obvious, but I love that Carats (new and old) can feel the love that I have for Seventeen because I seriously love them so much. They have become an irreplaceable part of my life, and I don't think I have truly loved anything or anyone as much as them 😭😭.

My bias is Dino!! But I get biased wrecked every 2 mins, so I say I'm OT13 while being Dino biased, lmfaoo 😭😭. It's really hard to pick a bias in Seventeen, goddamit!! Though, Dino definitely has a special place in my heart 😭! He became my bias during Hot era, and he has remained my bias since! (Please tell me who's yours when you read this!)

My favourite song...hmmm, I'll have to say I don't have one 😭😭. Whenever I pick a favourite song, another song happens to catch my attention 😭. It's literally impossible for me to pick a favourite song. But if I talk about my favourite song rn, I'll say it's March from the Face The Sun album (if we're talking sub-unit songs, it will definitely be Last Night by JxW!) But that's gonna change pretty soon 😭.

My favourite era is again something I can't pick. Look, it's not my fault that they always outdo themselves, okay 😭😭? But my faves are Attaca era (Rock With You), FML era (Super and FML), 17 Is Right Here era (Maestro), An Ode era (Fear & Hit), Teen Age era (Clap), Semi;Colon era (Home;Run), Director's Cut era (Thanks), etc. I literally just named all their eras lmaoo 😭😭. But as you can see, I can't pick. But you can check out any song or album I just named.

My favourite album is something I can answer, thankfully. I have a lot, though, so bare with me 😅🥹. My favourites are Going Seventeen, Teen Age, Heng:garae, Semi;Colon, Face The Sun, Sector 17, Seventeenth Heaven, Attaca, and FML. Again, I named almost every album lmaoo. But I recommend starting with Going Seventeen and making your way up. They have a lot of good music so you won't be disappointed even by their oldest albums!

Iconic tracks you NEED to listen to would be Fear (a classic), Mansae (another classic and a banger), Highlight (I might be saying this because I'm a performance unit girlie but that song is genuinely amazing), Clap (that song is so iconic omg), Don't Wanna Cry (that song is a masterpiece), Home;Run (the song that drew my interest to Seventeen!), Hot (honestly, just check out the whole album because it's amazing. It was also my first album as a Carat), Thanks (another classic, that song is beautiful), and then you can go in order (either oldest to newest or vice versa!).

this is just me talking (rambling) about my story with svt.

disclaimer: i'll do my best to make this post as cohesive as possible but i will probably ramble. i'll do my best. ^^

tl;dr: i love seventeen so much. they saved my life and pulled me out of a dark place. now, i realize that the reason why i have this overwhelming love for them is because they bring out the child that i've suppressed for so long. of course, that's aside from how amazing they are as artists and as individuals.

i never thought that i would love a group as much as i love seventeen now. i've been immersed in the world of kpop for almost half of my life and i've been part of multiple fandoms. but i don't think i have ever felt this kind of overwhelming love and admiration for a group. of course, this is not to downplay or put down all my emotions for all the groups i've stanned. it's really more of a realization that, apparently, i can feel this much more.

i thought i've reached the ceiling of my emotions. i was even close to retiring from being an active kpop fan. but seventeen happened.

it was only in late 2022 when i started listening to their songs more. i knew who they were prior to that. i've heard their songs. my friends slipped into the diamond life way back in 2017. so i had an idea about how they are. but i never got into them because i was hyperfixated on another group.

anyway!

2023 was when i really got pulled into the fandom. i think it's definitely true that you meet seventeen at a time you need them the most. i can never fully express how they pulled me out of a dark place. i faced multiple betrayals from people i prioritized–people i considered as my ride-or-die friends. i don't want to delve much into it but i ended up questioning my worth, among all other things. aside from the people who know me best, seventeen helped me get out of that space. i believe winning the lottery for the tokyo dome stop during the follow tour was a blessing in disguise. the concert happened around a week or two after everything blew up with that friend group.

after that, i just fell more and more and more. the more i got into their content, the more i got to love and appreciate each and every one of them. sure, i have my bias(es) and my wreckers but my love for all 13 of them is undeniable.

a year later, i find myself still in deep awe and still very much in love with them. it surprised me. i mean, the overwhelming feeling surprised me because, as i said, i haven't felt this way about a group before. and as i navigate the days of this year, i realize why.

i come from a family that seems great on the outside but is almost rotten on the inside. as hard as it is to admit this, it's an emotionally abusive household. it's a place where all my feelings are invalidated. a place where i always have to understand where my parents were coming from even if they were being too much. add that to the fact that i'm the eldest daughter. i had to suppress so many things–emotions, feelings, and even the child in me. the more i think about it, the more i realize how dark it has been.

especially these past months. the emotional abuse and manipulation is just too much. if not for seventeen and their content, i honestly don't know where i would be.

why?

because seventeen never failed to remind me that my own feelings are valid. like the mindset that joshua recorded. i go back to that every single time i started creeping back into that dark hole.

but more than that, i think it's because they bring out the child in me. the kid who was never seen. the kid who had to grow up a little too quickly. they were the ones who taught me that i can still enjoy my life and play as i do my own adult responsibilities.

as i looki at them too, they made me believe that there are people out there who will love and respect you. that you can still find a group of people who you can build meaningful relationships with. of course, this is only coming from what they've shown us through content and anecdotes. but i do believe that seventeen are good people.

so maybe, this overwhelming love stems from awe and admiration. ahhh i don't know if i'm making any sense but i really, really just love them so much. it's the first time i tried writing something like this.

i just love you so much, my headliners. thank you for continuously doing what you love. i hope that i can keep on giving you back the love you endlessly give us.

thank you for being the light in the darkest corners of my life. and thank you for being an inspiration to do better and be better.

so i'm a very new carat sgdhsjhdsjk i became one during hot era!!! i remember watching the premiere for hot with my sister and really loving the song, which was the reason i started to slip into the diamond life <333 that night i listened to the album several times, and i was literally in love <333 and so i woke up the next morning and started watching some of the new content svt had put out that day, like the first performance of hot at a music show, etc. one the videos from that day was this one - a pixid video, this one being "find the maknae among the first borns (feat. hoshi of seventeen)."

tbh before i watched this video, i really had no idea who hoshi was SHDSHDJ because before i got into svt, my bias was woozi (since he was the only member i really knew). but i was curious about the video so i ended up watching it essentially knowing absolutely nothing about hoshi. AND THE PIXID VIDEO IS SO FUNNY. i love it so much. i remember laughing so hard at it sdhhjhshdjsk and after i watched that video, i got more curious about hoshi. so i started watching compilations about him!!! this one in particular ("hoshi's endless tiger agenda") is my absolute favorite. i've rewatched it so much lol because this video is how i discovered hoshi's tiger agenda. AND HES JUST SO CUTE I LOVE HIM SO MUCH <333

and ofc i watched spider as well!!!! i already knew the song prior to this, but i didn't really appreciate it until after i got into svt lol and now i love it lots <333 in my quest to learn more about hoshi, i also watched all of spider's behind the scenes content shdsdhsjk. it made me love hoshi even more 😭😭😭

and so at this point i was having a bias crisis LOL because i had assumed my bias would still be woozi once i got into svt - but clearly that wasn't the case LMAO and now hoshi is my belovedest <333 i should also note that all of this happened in the span of 3 days. hot came out on a friday, and by tuesday, i was a changed girl (aka a carat and a horangdan SHDSHDJ). and i just. love hoshi sm <333 he's such an integral part of svt - they wouldn't be where they are rn without him. he is one of the best dancers in kpop (the best in my heart tbh) and he is so sweet and kind and caring and he's a great person to the rest of the members.
