So... I ran an experimental save file to see if I could figure out posing and photoshoots. I probably still have a long way to go but I’m glad I at least managed to get some cute photos of Sims!

In case anyone wants to know, I based the female Sim on Dark Elves and the guy she fell in love with is a merman so I figured he should have the cool skin tone as well. I prayed like hell to just get twins because I challenged myself to make a smaller house than I am used to playing with... I got bombed with triplets. How do I know? I’ve got a mod that tells me before they are born. Two boys and one girl. I also learned one other thing... Not much is better when doing a shoot than having a beach home. lol X,D I can take photos in the swimsuits all I want and it fits the theme!! Also apologies in advance for people who don’t like seeing the plumbob in “story” photos. As I said, I’m new to this and I was just thrilled I even got my Sims to obey me. lol Literally, five minutes before this, Heros, the merman, was fighting me because a dollhouse was placed NEXT to the stairs. Not even in front of them, actually blocking the way. NEXT TO THEM.

Anyway, as I learn more about doing this photoshoot thing, I’ll eventually create lots I can go to for more photos. I’ve got Ayume’s Lucky Day poses, which means I need to build a cafe, a school, a zoo and a general park for starters. That doesn’t even begin to scratch off the tip of the iceberg of pose CC that I downloaded.

After a little more practice with the experimental save, getting to know the ropes, it will be BeetleBabes’ turn. >:) I kind of wanna make the entire Beetlebunch as well. I absolutely love Suzthesnooze’s stuff and I’ve always wanted to see how they would do with my OCs thrown in. I might also add a new OC I just discovered a few weeks ago. Her name is slipping me at the moment but I think I wrote it down somewhere... She’s super cute!! She’s an anthro puppy who recently joined the Beetlebunch by blood. ^_^ I’d love to have my OCs meet her as well! There will definitely be a “who’s cutest” contest. haha It’ll make Phlox wanna puke but it can’t be helped. One got lovable doggo genes from her mom and my boy OC, Beatto, got some characteristics passed down from Snugglejuice. lol It’s the reason he wound up with perfect teeth instead of teeth more like Beej and it probably also helps drive him to want to be “cute” although he’d never go as far as Snuggle. Beatto likes being adorable the “emotional kind of guy” way... even though he’s, well... If you’ve ever seen that one scene girl on TikTok that’s always offering any help she can then you’ve seen what Beatto is like but in a girl version. Emotional enough to wear what he wears but not so much that he’d let it get in the way of helping someone else out. He’s been called cute for that so often now and he’s getting too used to it. lol

Hot Ghoul Summer is almost upon us!

I have spent the past little while combing through babes weeks past (or at least what was showing up in the tags I could think of) and I think we are officially ready!  I tried to get as much as I can, so if I missed any, let me know and I’ll add them along.  I’m still working on the aesthetics of the blog and plan to finish up the main theme later tonight, but we’re almost there!

I’m shooting for our next babes week to be July 11th through July 17th!

Feel free to shoot me any summery prompt ideas!  I have a couple I think you guys are really going to enjoy!  I hope everyone’s ready for a wild summer!

@suzthesnooze you recently made a profound reblog that i keep thinking about!

you said the beetlejuice cartoon was one of the few american/canadian cartoons that didn’t have a target gender demographic and no specific coding- 

and i’m honestly baffled at the idea of shows marketed as JUST for girls, or JUST for boys.

(not that there’s anything wrong with enjoying or creating a show like that, but dividing 100% of the programming like that ... that sounds like boring programming).

the cartoons i watched as a kid were mostly german, french, swedish or japanese productions, and NONE of them were ever either girly/pink/hearts or blueish/action adventure for boys.

I’m honestly so nostalgic, and kinda super appreciative of these gems i constantly watched as a kid, please let me rant for a bit about some of these awesome shows !!

Vicky the Viking

what i remember about Vicky is that we never knew if he was a boy or girl, but it never really mattered - also the other viking men are very cute and don’t know how to deal with emotions. Vicky is the only competent one and its very cute.

Adventures of Pinocchio

this show spooked me, although i don’t remember why. really loved getting spooked by it tho, and it has my fav intro song of all time

The Wonderful Adventures of Nils

nils is a rude asshole child and as punishment he gets cursed to be tiny - through the series he learns to be nice by traveling with some geese!! was also really spooked by this show XD there’s an episode where some statues come to life in a sunken city and i had nightmares for WEEKS

WOAH ALL THE NIGHTMARES i got from this show ..!!! and so much adventure and fun, but MAN this show got dark !! in the first episode alfred’s parents violently die, if i remember correctly. alfred also fights nazis later in the show. check it out, its awesome

Heidi, Girl of the Alps

WOAH YOU GUYS, HEIDI WAS THE SHIT. i got so passionate over this show you have no idea. this was the show where my brother and me would aNXIOUSLY wait for the next episode to find out if Heidi was gonna finally kick Fräulein Rottenmeier’s ass. absolutely amazing show, i need to rewatch. just from memory alone: would put it on the same quality level as avatar the last airbender, for real

I just want to say… my heart goes out to everyone that had a bad time in this fandom from 2019 to 2021… also for sure to @suzthesnooze . Somehow, I wasn’t made aware of what was all really happening.

I jumped ship because I’m not in a good headspace for dealing with threats but I’m still sort of around. I’d love to resume making fanart but unfortunately, my equipment for that broke down before I moved into a space where I don’t even have space to set it all up. Was forced to move to get myself out of a bad situation.

In fact… most of the fandom war happened while my parents were divorcing so I had to duck out for a while. There are still after effects from the divorce, too… but like I said, I’m here and I’d like to go back to checking up on the fandom here every so often.
