Chilling adventures of Sabrina
I love that the second Theo decides he no longer wants to be called Susie, the gang immediately start calling him Theo no questions asked. Sabrina had a quick stumble apologised and continued calling him Theo. There was no need to justify or explain just call me Theo now. I love that shit

but around your house are a lot of weird little bottles and small bags that have written on them “curse reppelant”
who put them there , i wonder?
going to parties and dancing with each other like you’re the only ones in the room
thinking her aunts hate you because they always seem a little reluctant whenever you come at her house
Ambrose loving you and your relationship
him sometimes flirting with you , just to annoy Sabrina
you and Sabrina studying town history
being worried sick for her when she’s gone and you just don’t know where she is
having the purest love ever
you always spoil her a little
“ your birthday is on halloween, ‘Brina, what could be cooler?”
did I forget to mention that you adore Halloween and basically everything that has to do with supernatural
always joking with Sabrina about witches and other
at some point ( when it becomes very hard to conceal) she tells you that she’s a witch
you thought this was one of her jokes first
but seeing her so serious made you realize she was actually telling the truth
“no wonder you’re so hot.”
after that having a long conversation with tears , smiles and everything else
her telling you about her parents
and dreaming you will be just like them
as a witch:
you met in the Academy of Unseen Arts and she was new so of course you showed her around
she was basically a curious lost puppy
spellcasting and studying together led to...more
doing rituals together
“Brina, no. That is a dumb idea. Aaaand, here we go...”
as you were a fulltime academy student you made sure the weird sisters got what they deserved when they tormented sabrina
Aunt Hilda and Aunt Zelda love you so much and you learn so many things from them
also Ambrose teases you guys nonstop
“babe, let’s do this new spell I’ve just learned”
being such a power couple . literally
your familiars are friendss
and also you come over for dinner quite a lot
Aunt Zelda keeps trying to get you to convince Sabrina to attend the Academy fulltime
you do want her more next to you ,but you are not the only important person in her life and you respect that, so you just smile
* she doesn’t understand why you gave up your freedom
you just sigh and say that you haven’t gave it much thought
long walks in the woods in the witching hour
trying to discover more about her family together
sleeping next to each other in the Academy
her sometimes being jealous of the Weird Sisters , as you have a hate-friendship relationship with them that involves a lot of teasing
you sometimes being jealous of Harbey because he’s so sweet and pure and he’s way more good to Sabrina than you feel you are
in the end getting over it and realizing you are perfect for each other
just being witchy
borrowing each other’s clothes
dancing to vinyls together
being happy when you are around each other
defying satan together at some point?

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Ep. 7 – Feast of Feasts
This episode of Sabrina revolves around Thanksgiving, family traditions, and beliefs. For instance, the Principal, who clearly has never taken a sexual harassment course in his life, invites Miss Wardwell to Thanksgiving dinner. She declines, as she orders in. And who should be delivering her food (or possibly be her food) is Ben. Yes, Ben who took a swan dive out of Riverdale General is a Pizza Boy, even has BEN in big letters on his name tag so that you know it’s him.
Now, as this is a time for family, Miss Wardwell assigns a research project to her class to find out more about their family histories. Suzie finds out about their ancestor Dorothea Putnam. Dorothea chose to dress like a man, lived on her own, and was responsible for bringing persecuted women over from Europe (the women would be the beginnings of the Greendale Witches). Suzie also sees a vision of Dorothea in their room, but Suzie may have been sleeping.
Meanwhile, Roz visits her Nana. Her Nana believes it’s because Roz believes she has a lack of faith. Roz, not knowing how Nana knew this, believes her father must have called. Her Nana explains it’s because of the cunning. It turns out the reason why so many woman in Roz’s family go blind is because a long time ago one of their family members accused a woman of being a witch and so the Greendale witches cursed the family. It’s unknown if the Cunning is a product of the curse or the curse unlocked something these women already had. And how they explain the Cunning here…it’s better explained in future episodes. It’s like they see visions in there head that explains things, even things that are hidden to most people. For instance, when meeting Suzie, Nana’s response is to say, “Hello, young man.” Roz tries to correct Nana, but Suzie interrupts Roz, saying that it is fine. It’s very clear on Suzie’s face that they’re really happy that someone seems to have noticed them for who they really are, even if they’re not quite ready to come out yet.
As for Harvey’s family, it’s a bit more difficult as his story does tie into Sabrina’s a bit. But, at the beginning of the episode, we find out that Harvey is now working at the mines and is trying to be like the rest of his family. He’s even been asked to join the family hunt that happens around Thanksgiving. Now, according to Harvey’s family, they used to be the Von Kunkles. Go back a century or two and they were hunters and trappers for the town of Greenwood. And, according to their family history, they were asked to remove the people living in the hills because the town of Greendale found them to be problematic. Yeah, we all know this story is bunch of bull.
Meanwhile, we find out Sabrina and her family don’t really celebrate Thanksgiving. However, Sabrina finds out that there is another celebration that goes on at the same time. When Sabrina comes home a few days before Thanksgiving, she finds a bunch of sheep entrails nailed to the door. It turns out her family has been chosen to be one of the representatives in the Feast of Feasts. Sabrina has never heard of this celebration and asks what it’s about. Well, it turns out those “hill people,” that were mentioned? They were actually Greendale witches who had been cast out of the town. And because of the Von Kunkles trapping, there wasn’t enough animals to survive on for the winter. Therefore, a young witch named Freya slices her own neck, and with her death gives the witches the food they need for the winter months.
So, getting to the Feast, fourteen families (women) are selected as tribute. A few days before the feast, the women burn tapers. The one who selects the taper that does not burn, or slightly burns, becomes Queen. The person with the taper that burns, but not burns all the way, becomes their handmaiden. The Queen’s every desire is fulfilled for the next three days. Then she is killed. Her body is consumed by the Coven and her spirit goes to live with the Dark Lord until the Apocalypse, when I guess they’re reborn. Anyway, Zelda is going to be representing the family.
Sabrina is completely against this tradition and asks Miss Wardwell if there’s a way to stop the practice. Miss Wardwell is unsure, but decides to look into it. Meanwhile, Sabrina learns that, when her father was the High Priest, he banned the Feast of Feasts. It was brought back by Father Blackwood, saying the Dark Lord had come to him and told him that the Church needed to return to the old ways. Sabrina believes that, if she puts herself up as tribute, Zelda will speak out against the Feast. Sabrina really has got to stop believing these things.
Embarrassed that Sabrina challenged her in front of the Covent, Zelda let’s Sabrina take her place. Sabrina burns her taper and she becomes…the Handmaiden. Meanwhile, Prudence has become the Queen.
Prudence decides to move into the Spellman house until the Feast. That night, she and Sabrina talk about belief. Sabrina believes that no one would really want to be sacrificed, but Prudence proves her wrong. For Prudence, and her beliefs, this means life eternal. Prudence then challenges Sabrina on her beliefs of life after death, something Sabrina is unsure of. Prudence, in a way, pities Sabrina because she has a lack of belief.
The next day, trying to show Prudence that life is important, Sabrina takes her to Baxter High. There Prudence meets Suzie and speaks highly of their ancestor Dorothea. She also meets Harvey, realizes he’s a Von Kunkle, and demands a blood atonement for what his ancestors did. Sabrina literally yanks Prudence out of the room. Prudence is furious that Sabrina talks about the sanctity of life, when she’s dating a Kinkle. However, before the fight gets worse, Wardwell steps in. Wardwell tells Sabrina that stopping the Feast by some order would be unlikely, but Wardwell has learned of someone that she feels Prudence should meet.
The next day (I think?), we see the Kinkle clan hunting. They spot a deer and Harvey’s dad raises his gun to shoot it. However, he’s stopped by Harvey’s grandfather, who says Harvey should be the one to shoot the deer.
Meanwhile, Sabrina, Wardwell, and the Weird Sisters are also in the forest, where they meet an elderly witch. It turns out that when this witch was a young girl, she was chosen as Queen. She tells them that she was younger then the group of girls in front of her (Sabrina is 16, Prudence is around the same age). Anyway, the witch tells the girls that the night before the Feast her High Priest told her that the Dark Lord had told him the High Priest must “initiate” her before the feast. Uh, yeah. The witch managed to get away from the high priest and ended up living in the woods.
Prudence points out that, while the witch is obviously telling the truth, this isn’t the same thing. Father Blackwood has made no such demands of her. In fact, he’s always treated her like his own child. Sabrina tries to explain that Blackwood making the request to sacrifice anyone isn’t ok; but the conversation is interrupted by a gunshot. The old witch runs away and the rest of them go to see what had happened.
The group of witches find a familiar, in the shape of a deer (partially), and it’s been shot. Knowing they can’t let mortals see the creature, they form an invisible barrier around it and themselves. Harvey, and the rest of the Kinkles, stalk by. Prudence rounds on Sabrina, demanding to know how she can defend a murderer. Sabrina says that Harvey couldn’t have been the one who shot the deer. The two other Weird Sisters demand blood for the slain creature. And Prudence points out that Sabrina’s faith in Harvey is no different then Prudence’s faith in Blackwood.
Later, the Sisters return to the school and Sabrina returns home. Harvey is waiting for her outside. He tells her about the hunt and how, when he was to take the shot, he couldn’t. No matter how much he tried, he isn’t like his family. Sabrina hugs him and, worried about his safety, puts a protection spell on him.
Sabrina goes inside, to find a very agitated Zelda. Apparently, Lady Blackwood is there and in distress. It turns out Lady Blackwood’s blood pressure is very high and she’s been spotting. She starts to ramble about people hurting her children. Zelda asks her if she’s done any intense spells recently and Lady Blackwood says yes. Lady Blackwood is afraid of The Weird Sisters and is convinced that they are going to kill her children so that they could be Blackwood’s heirs. So, she enchanted the box, that the tapers were held in, so that Prudence would get the one that wouldn’t burn. That way she could kill of the leader and no one would know.
Sabrina and Zelda talk alone in the parlor. Zelda says that Lady Blackwood’s fears are valid in the sense that Illegitimate children can be considered as heirs and it’s very common for High Priests to have illegitimate children. However, there’s no proof that Prudence is trying to harm the babies or is even Blackwood’s child.
Sabrina goes to the school and tells Prudence of what they’ve learned. Prudence is torn because, as much as she believes she has been chosen by the Dark Lord, Sabrina’s story is very possible. Prudence wants to know how Sabrina will prove it.
Sabrina does so by throwing Prudence a final meal and invites the Blackwoods. At the end of the meal, they serve a cake with a truth spell baked into it. Lady Blackwood tells the whole story and Father Blackwood admits to Prudence that he is, in fact, her real father. Her mother, on the other hand, killed herself after Blackwood refused to marry her. Now if the truth comes out, there will be a scandal. But Sabrina says that they will keep this all a secret so long as the Feast of Feasts is forever cancelled.
At the Church, Blackwood tells the members that Prudence can no longer fulfill her duties as Queen. However, before he stops the feasts, one of the witches stand up and slits her own throat. The Spellman’s look on in horror as the other witches begin to eat her. After the ceremony, Sabrina asks Zelda if Zelda would have allowed that to happen to Sabrina. Zelda says no.
So, one other storyline I forgot to mention. The mother of the boy who was stabbed to death a few episodes ago, comes to pick up the ashes. She mentions that she found occult stuff in her son’s bedroom. Ambrose convinces her to bring the stuff to the mortuary so he could take a look. However, a couple of days later, Hilda receives a call about two bodies being transported to the mortuary. It’s the parents of the boy and, apparently, they killed themselves.
Finally, it’s the day after Thanksgiving and Tommy and Harvey are going into the mines to work. Meanwhile, Agatha and Dorcus (the other two Weird Sisters) have created dolls of the two brothers. They are exacting revenge for the Familiar and, just before the credits, smash the two dolls with rocks.

Episode Summary: The Spellmans are selected to host the annual Feast of Feasts and Zelda volunteers to represent their family in the lottery for Queen of the Feast, who is sacrificed and eaten at the feast. During the selection, Sabrina replaces Zelda, and becomes handmaiden to Prudence who is selected as Queen. Sabrina spends the week trying to convince Prudence to reject her selection, and brings her to Baxter High, where she claims Harvey's family are witch hunters. As a precaution, Sabrina casts a protection spell on Harvey. Later, Sabrina discovers that Lady Blackwood was responsible for selecting Prudence as Queen, as Father Blackwood is her biological father. At the feast, Father Blackwood announces that Prudence cannot fulfill her duties as Queen, but before he can cancel the feast, Mildred sacrifices herself and is declared Queen of Feasts. The next day, Agatha and Dorcas perform a ritual to kill Harvey and his brother in the mines.

New Locations: Moon Valley,
Random Facts: Zelda likes all contact sports
Spellman History: Edward banned the Feast of Feasts when he was High Priest. He said it was barbaric
Reading Materials: Dorothea Putnam’s diaries
Mortals meet Magic:
Roz learns that Walker Women develop a power called the Cunning when they go blind. It lets them see things others can’t. it goes back generations to when the Walker women accused a woman of being a witch. A consequence, the other witches in Greendale cursed the Walker women with blindness.
The Kinkles weren’t always miners. In the early days when they were Von Kunkels they hunted and trapped. In the terrible winter where Freya sacrificed herself, the coven lived on the outskirts of town, and the mortals of Greendale used to say they were tunnelling in the hills. The Von Kunkles stole the land from the coven, as the ‘hill people’ supposedly scared the town folk. and it was decided that someone should get rid of them. And after they chased the coven out, the Kinkles took the land and made use of it themselves. This means the entrance to Hell used to belong to the coven, before it was taken by the Kinkles and became part of the mines.
Dorothea Putnam was the first Putnam to arrive in Greendale. She helped witches escape persecution in Scotland and was considered a true ally to the Church of Night
The Kinkles are in fact Witch Hunters and therefore Harvey comes from a long line of them.
Suzy sees Dorothea for the first time

Part 2 Episode 1 Thoughts (Part 2 of 3)
When we have the scene with Hilda in Lilith’s office, the entire set up is very much like a ruler. Lilith is the Queen of this school and the chair at her desk is her throne. We always saw her sat, in her old office, in a lazy, uncaring way, her feet up on the desk, doing work at a slant as she scribbled this or that, but here she is sat properly, in the chair, commanding the room, professional and focused. Baxter High might only be a mortal high school but it is a domain, a realm, and one which Lilith is currently reigning over, and it’s very clear that only does this suit her, but she’s enjoying it. She hasn’t been made Queen yet, but here she can exercise some kind of reign, rulership.
The fact she calls Hilda Ms Spellman and she, in turn, calls her Ms Wardwell, is not only outwardly politeness, but shows that Lilith has not really engaged with Sabrina’s family at all even as she mentored and manipulated the girl into signing the book. She is still mostly a stranger to the Spellman family, despite her claims of being close to Edward.
Just the entire way she has this conversation, the way she sits, the way she speaks-calm, level, quiet; Lilith is being a Queen speaking to a subject. Even her wording, such as ‘What, precisely, would you like me to do about it?’ is very much someone speaking from a position of power, of command, and being petitioned for help from someone who isn’t. A subject petitioning a Queen.
It’s only when Hilda suggests she convince Sabrina to come back to Baxter High, that Lilith slips off a little of her calm-and-interested Queen expression, looking to the side, sighing. Lilith has just gotten Sabrina exactly where the Dark Lord wanted her, in the book and at the Academy, and here Hilda is asking her to undo it and bring her right back to the mortals. Do you not know how hard she worked for this, Hilda? But Lilith blinks a little, forcing herself to pay attention once more, though you can now see the slight signs of impatience, because Lilith really doesn’t want to bring Sabrina back as that would be like taking a step backwards, but everyone has to be kept on side so Hilda has to be listened to.
“If Sabrina wants to attend the Academy full time, then that is her Satan given right. And there’s nothing either of us can do to stop her”
She’s very clever with her language here, making sure Hilda feels they’re on the same side, that she would bring Sabrina to Baxter High too if she could, but that they’re both powerless to change that.
And then as Theo bursts in, Lilith is right back into the Queen mode with body language and voice. She leans forward, invested, caring, and asks ‘what seems to be the problem?’. These ‘subjects’ have come running to her to fix something and there their powerful Queen is, ready to effect change. This is definitely Lilith doing practise runs for how she’s going to rule hell, which kinda implies how much she wants to overhaul, because how she rules Baxter High is not how Lucifer rules hell...but is it how Lilith will rule hell? Only Part 3 will tells us, haha.
Now the bit where she walks in and defends Theo’s right to try-out, and what it means for dynamics between Sabrina’s friends and Lilith I have mostly gone over in this post here, so I won’t go into too much detail for this scene again. But she does lead the group, heads it, like a ruler, they are following her. She is taking charge of this situation and she is enjoying it as much as they are. And let’s just note the brief, disdainful look she throws the basketball players. Lilith not impressed by men playing sports; no surprises there.
“Coach Craven, a word”
This is so abrupt, commanding. Lilith is taking a total power charge here, and she’s already coming in aggressive. She’s angry, she’s annoyed, presumably from the discovery that girls are being kept from trying out for sports (and possibly part of the reason why she throw the male players that look a moment ago). There aren’t many things Lilith gets riled up about on behalf of others, these pseudo-altruistic moments, but women being oppressed by men is definitely one of them.
“Well, it’s Principal Wardwell now”
Again, exuding that power, reminding Coach Craven of his place, that he is lower than her. You can literally taste and feel how much Lilith not only loves being in charge, the number one, but that she excels at it and thrives in it. Especially as it is giving her power over a man who has tried to exert power over women.
“It’s come to my attention that you refuse to let Suzy Putnam try out for the basketball team. Which is unacceptable. There shall be no gender discrimination at Baxter High under my regime”
She’s so freaking professional here. She uses all education-sister terms, she speaks professionally and clearly, she uses official mortal terms such as ‘gender discrimination’ to get her point across. She is PC Admin-ing the fuck out of him and enjoying every moment. And again proves that Lilith has actually been doing her job as Principal properly, dealing with governors and children (she knows their surnames now?), filing paperwork etc. She has learned this entire mortal mini-world simply because she’s the Queen Principal of it. And I think it shows promising foreshadowing of what kind of Queen she’ll be in Hell.
However, when the Coach and the children turn away Lilith’s Principal-Smile fades and we see the demoness who hates mortals and finds the male variety especially irritating as she stands there, in direct violation of Baxter High’s rules, chewing gum.

The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina
Stop here to avoid minor spoilers....
I watched the new Sabrina series. I did read the comics a little, though not regularly and not since I was kid. I watched the TV series and the TV movie although I only watched a few episodes of the animated series. In my opinion, the best thing to do with things like this is to approach it with fresh eyes. Unless it is a sequel or in some way depends on you having previous knowledge of past versions, bringing baggage of other incarnations only hinders the viewing experience.
One of the first things I noticed was the literary and historical references seeded throughout the series. Suzy Putnam has the surname of a significant family involved in the witch trials in Salem. Rosalind Walker bears two significant names. Rosalind is a Shakespearean reference from the play As You Like It. Walker is a reference to Alice Walker a novelist an activist and based on the character's trials through the series, very appropriate. There is also the three "Weird" sisters, which must be either a reference to the witches in Macbeth, or the Norse sister who weave fate. These are a few that stood out to me glaringly. I'm sure with repeated viewing, more would become apparent.
The decernable themes appeared to be the resistance of the patriarchy and the trope of the "poison Chalice", wherein something appears advantageous(free will) however is in fact dangerous.(must obey Satan) Other minor themes, such as trust and loyalty appear regularly. The theme of transitions is of course present as Sabrina is on the precipice of several life changes. Child to adult, and mortal to witch.
I did enjoy it very much. The coloring on the film itself was a bit dark. I understand they were trying to set a mood, but there is a thin line between "spooky" and "I can't see people's faces". Also I hope in the next series some of the side characters get more screen time. I understand this is a show about Sabrina, but the character are written intriguingly and would work well as the basis for more episodes.
My bottom line is if you like spooky stuff or you like "meta" type stuff or in general like cool weird shows like the Aadams Family, or Simpsons watch this show.

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Ep. 6 – An Exorcism in Greendale
The episode starts with Sabrina confronting Miss Wardwell. Miss Wardwell admits that she’s a witch; but tells her that she was a disciple of Edward Spellman. That, just before he died, he asked her to watch over Sabrina from the shadows. Unfortunately for Wardwell, that turns out to be the wrong lie and to Sabrina it just confirms that her father was someone not to be trusted. Sabrina tells Miss Wardwell that her duties are done.
However, later that night (which is this all in the same night as the last episode because everyone must have gone to bed at like 8 o’clock for that to be possible), Sabrina lets Ambrose know about Miss Wardwell. He points out that maybe it isn’t so bad, as Wardwell was the one who saved them. He believes Sabrina should give her a chance, Sabrina isn’t convinced.
So, while this whole Batibat thing was going on, it seems like Sabrina’s friends were having issues of their own. Each one of them is visited by a vision of Jesse Putnam, who points out their darkest fears. Harvey believes himself a coward because he won’t go back in the mines; Roz believes she may be going blind as punishment for her lack of faith; and Suzie fears that people are right when they say that Suzie is an abomination.
The next day, we have a couple of quick scenes. Hilda is applying for a job at Dr. Cerberus’ book store and Zelda is running some tests on Lady Blackwood to see how the pregnancy is progressing.
Sabrina comes into the student lounge, where her three friends are discussing Suzie’s uncle. It seems that Jesse has gotten worse and that Suzie’s dad has decided to put him in an asylum. Of course, somebody (Harvey?) points out that the Uncle seems possessed. Sabrina tries to find out more information, while trying to discourage her friends from that line of thinking. However, in the discussion, they all find out that they all had visions of Jesse the night before.
After the conversation, Harvey confronts Sabrina. He’s angry because he feels like she’s lying to him (she is) and that she doesn’t believe him. Sabrina, not being able to tell him the truth, tries to comfort him; but it just makes it worse. Harvey leaves and Miss Wardwell appears trying to talk to Sabrina, but Sabrina doesn’t want to hear it.
Sabrina tells her aunts about the demon, but since it’s rare that a demon actually possesses a mortal and because it’s a mortal, the aunts aren’t that interested. So, Sabrina goes to Ambrose and tries to get him to help her astro-project into Jesse’s bedroom. However, she and Ambrose get into a fight and she decides to go it alone. It goes about as well as expected and Sabrina almost dies, but Salem gets Ambrose who breaks the spell. Sabrina does learn one thing from the demon and that’s that Jesse accidentally released him. Sabrina realizes that the demon must have been sealed by something in the mines.
Sabrina goes to Harvey house, kind of to apologize/mostly to find out where Jesse was working in the mines. Her plan is to go to that area of the mines and look around. Harvey, however, refuses to let Sabrina go by herself (which would have been a really stupid) and he decides to brave the mines with her. Little does Sabrina know that she is being spied on by Stolas, Miss Wardwell’s familiar.
Sabrina and Harvey go into the mines and get separated (of course). Sabrina is able to find a sealing tablet, when Miss Wardwell appears. Miss Wardwell recognizes what Sabrina has in her hand, but Sabrina tells her that if Miss Wardwell keeps following her, she will go to the High Priest and inform him. Suddenly, Harvey screams. Sabrina runs off and finds him huddled in a corner. Harvey tells her he saw the creature, but when Sabrina looks around all she sees is a pile of rocks. Harvey is no longer sure of what he saw and they begin to leave the mines. Suddenly a red light appears further down the tunnel and out steps The Beast.
The next day, Sabrina and Ambrose research what type of demon was sealed in the mines. Sabrina finds out it’s called Apophis, the Devouring Demon. Sabrina wonders how she’s going to get the demon out of Jesse. Fortunately for her, she just so happens to have a class about Demons being taught by Father Blackwood that day. However, according to Blackwood the only way demons can be removed from mortals is by exorcism and only those who are ordain by the “False Church” can do them.
Meanwhile, Suzie is sitting on the stairs inside their home. They’re listening to their father and the doctor talk about the place where Jesse is going to go. The Doctor mentions that Suzie’s father said that Jesse always had some demons. Suzie’s father mentions how Jesse used to dress up in their mother’s dresses, until the day their father caught him and beat him. He also mentions how Jesse struggled with his sexuality, his words implying there was something not ok about that. Understandably, this gets Suzie really upset and they storm into the room, saying that nothing that about that had anything to do with Jesse’s condition. They demand to see where their Uncle is going to be taken.
That night, Sabrina arrives home to see Miss Wardwell sitting with her Aunts. Miss Wardwell had told them the same story about the father and they believe her. She has also told them about Sabrina’s adventure into the mines. Sabrina tells them what she’s learned about Jesse’s condition and that she’s ready to go to the Catholic Church for help. However, Wardwell says that it need not come to that. Wardwell says that Sabrina’s father had been working on a way for a witch to perform exorcisms and he just so happened to give it to Wardwell. It seems suspicious, but there is a reason (as we find out later in the series) Wardwell might not be completely lying at this moment.
Anyway, Sabrina, Wardwell, and Hilda decide to perform the exorcism. Zelda refuses, as it’s possible they’ll get in trouble with the Church of Night. But later, Zelda is conflicted with her decision. Ambrose, who had come to find Zelda to give her an update on some of Lady Blackwood’s tests, convinces her to go after the group.
Which turns out to be a good thing. The trio had made it into the Putnam house (the rest of the Putnam’s looking at the asylum at the time). They call upon witches past to lend them their strength, but it isn’t enough. And then Zelda comes in and they are able to exorcise the demon. They drop it down a well with the sealing stones. Jesse is no longer possessed and they all go home. Or it appears that way.
Sabrina and her Aunts go inside their home, to find Father Blackwood waiting. He has heard about the exorcism and is pissed. However, he doesn’t excommunicate the whole family, because Zelda has an ace up her sleeve. It turns out the test she ran on Lady Blackwood show that she is, in fact, pregnant with twins. Furthermore, it is possible this will be a difficult pregnancy and, adding in the fact that Lady Blackwood has miscarried twice before, she is going to need an expert midwife to take care of her. So, to make sure that his children are taken care of, Blackwood says no more.
The next morning, the mortuary gets a call. Jesse died overnight. Later that day, Sabrina talks with Suzie, who believes that this might not be a bad thing as the asylum was horrible. Sabrina mentions that this is the first time she’s ever seen Suzie in a dress, to which Suzie replies that they refuse to be an abomination.
Another quick bit, Ambrose is depressed that he is trapped inside the home. Hilda suggests he call Luke. Ambrose says he has, with no luck. Hilda, who got the job at the bookstore, happens to serve Luke a coffee (and she puts a bit of a love potion in there).
Later that night, Sabrina talks to Miss Wardwell. As this happens, we flash back to the night before. It turns out, after the Spellmans had left, Wardwell went back into Jesse’s room. She thanks Jesse for his role, mentions that it was imperative that Sabrina perform an exorcism for the prophecy to come true, tells him the future will be apocalyptic, and then kills him. Back in the present, Wardwell is surprised when Sabrina mentions how she wants to defeat the Dark Lord and asks her to tell her all about it.
