A.P calc teacher schlatt x A.P studio art teacher reader

moving to a new school as a art teacher is an extremely difficult shift, especially when your class is in the middle of the math wing, far from all the other art teachers

so meeting new friends at this school is particularly difficult

until a lesson plan needed for 5th period requires you to use the math teachers printer one early morning

“Hey, can you help me with this?” you asked the tall muttonchopped man next to you, seemingly making a cup of coffee.

“yeah no problem, let me see” after a few seconds he fixes the printer, and your lessons begin to continue printing. “the ink was loaded in wrong" he chuckles "are ya’ the new A.P art teacher?” you smile up at him and nod.

“and if ya’ don't mind me asking what is it you teach?" you say.

“A.P Calculus. why’d they place you in the math wing?"

the conversation continues and it's very pleasant, you keep talking and realize your classes are no joke across the hall from each other

your friendship starts off slow, only talking during breaks or occasionally borrowing things from each other, considering your subjects barely align 

until one day you're busy making him and some other art teachers you became friends with paintings for their room, and in conversation you remember him liking orcas, and that his room is very bare and needs some decor

so when he waltzes into your room to borrow yet another ruler (of which he definitely has enough but we can look past) and sees the painting, yea he asks for your number soon after.

from then on the only art in his room is made by you or his students

weeks pass and your becoming very close friends, but it never goes past that, strictly school.

until one day during your free period that you share with your new best friend Mrs. Haynes (Sabrina), the recently hired health teacher, tells you something she heard in passing

"okay so you know the hot videography teacher? yeah Mr. Nivision, yeah turns out him, Mr. Keane, and Mr. Schaltt are like close friends." shes is such a gossip, she began opening up her lunch, but before she started yapping you cut her off.

"okay, now quick detour what does this have to do with me?" you joke as you continue reading over your students essays, your class was currently doing art history, which was your major in college. so naturally you were having fun.

"well you will never guess what schlatt said about you!" your eyes widen and you begin to speak but sabrina shuts you up. "its not anything bad, quite the oposide actually!"

"he said youre hot as fuck." you almost spit your coffee out when she said that.

now you werent sure what to do with this information

i mean sabrina had heard it from tuckers wife Emma, who had heard it from tucker, which tucker heard from ted, and ted, the primary source, was told by schlatt himself

you felt like you were a highschooler again

but all you were sure of is you didnt want to make this awkward

by the time halloween rolls around a bunch of teachers had made plans to hang out

schlatt had offered to host everyone he deemed cool enough, which to your luck included you

the only problem was that halloween was three days away, and niether of you had made a costume yet

so the day before halloweekend, while you were actively teaching a class may i add, Mr. schlatt knocked on your door.

"hey jay, whats up?" you opened the door for the giant infront of you

"can i come in?" before you could even respond he already began walking into your class, saying hi to students he recognized

you werent fully worried about your class watching you talk to schlatt, except for one table right up front

it was a table of six girls, who in the span of two months had become the equivilent of little sisters to you, you knew everything about them, and in turn they knew everything about you

that included the time you accidentaly mentioned your small crush on the 6'3 calc teacher across the hall.

but god you really hoped they had forgotten about that

"so ive been meaning to ask you a question." he said looking around your room, seemingly taking it all in.

"shoot away" you smiled up at him

"well i still dont have a costume for Saturday and to my knowledge you dont either?" he asked

"no i dont, why you wanna match with me mr schlatt?" you tease lightly, and he laughs

"yeah, i would, only if you also want to?' he raised a brow softly

"i get to pick it." you demand quietly

he begins walking out the class, not before leaving a "that was a given." smiling and closing the door softly behind him.

when you hear the giggling and snorting of your six favorite sophomores, you sigh.

he didnt usually hang out at the daycare house

he tells you it's cause he cant stand the kids, but really it's cause he needs about 2 months to recover from the baby fever of watching you work with so many young minds

but you need him today. aiden and braiden would not stop bickering and like hell were they gonna listen to the bubbly fun daycare worker

so he swung by to handle the boys and let the girls paint his nails and do his hair before Shootin Some Hoops with all the kids right before lunch

he read to the kids before naptime, and made cherry juice in water for kids that couldnt get to sleep easily (he memorised every form about every kid so he knew who was and wasnt allowed what)

sits with you and lets you rest your head on his shoulder as gentle music plays to lull the kids back to sleep if they wake up

"how ya doin toots?" he whispers to you

he waits a moment

you dont answer

he moves his head a bit to look at you

you were so exhausted that you fell asleep too

carries you to your naptime mat and tucks you in

he wakes you up right before it was time for the first kids to go home

you finally see that all of the kids enter their proper form of transportation, sighing as you feel the weight of the day on your shoulders

"i dont know what i wouldve done without you, how can i thank you enough for literally saving my booty today?" you fret

"you could marry me." he was still looking out at the street

"... what?" you inquire gently

"ya heard me," he got down on one knee and pulled out a box "let's start our own li'l family toots."

yn on a new song she plans to release soon tonight at brussels ‘ive been writing a song for a while that really just helps explain the way ive been feeling these past few months, it was very therapeutic to write and ive really enjoyed the process!’ and when asked what the song was about she said ‘its about someone who will always mean alot to me, they know who they are and thats enough for me!’

One of the best things that happened to me was coming to terms with my femininity, i realized that i loved feminine things and that it was ok. Liking pink and dresses didnt make me lesser than other women, it wasn’t a weakness. I soon realized that by stopping this insane derision of traditionally feminine things in life i was in fact improving my character. I think that I saw improvement in the fact that i stopped just hating female characters who had these traditionally feminine traits like Cinderella, Aurora, Sansa, Katara, Fluer, Ty Lee, Susan Pevensie, and so many others, looking past this mental block i had as a pre-teen and early teen i realized that they are all strong characters who have many many admirable traits, I would even go as far as saying that they are what i would want to be as a person as opposed to the characters i idolized as a pre-teen. This internal hatred of my femininity wasn’t of my own creation though, i knew that I was very smart from a young age, and people around me and the online communities i saw all demonized these characters saying that they were weak, annoying, and deserving of misery. Some people say that our society is more accepting of woman than we ever have been but its still so hostile to young girls, people disguise this hatred of feminine things behind jokes on the internet calling girls “basic” for just doing things that girls tend to do, we see it in the pure hatred that grown men AND other women throw at artists like Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, Olivia Rodrigo and Sabrina Carpenter degrading them and depreciating their capabilities as artists, and the absolute hatred that any female led fan base receives. And while Hollywood may feature more female characters as leads in movies, they aren’t good characters, we see characters that aren’t well written, a strong female character is a well-written character, this is one place where i think Star Wars has done really well, we have Ahsoka, Fennec, Padme, Leia, Jyn, Mon Mothma, and both the Kryz sisters are all beautifully written and have distinguishable personalities, you have the kind Padme, the headstrong and confident Leia, the wise Mon Mothma, and Ahsoka who is perhaps one of the best written characters in Star Wars. We need more characters written like this. Also, We as a society need to STOP shaming the traditionally feminine qualities in young girls specifically, let little girls know that they aren’t lesser just because they are kind. We also need to stop teaching young boys that cruelty and meanness makes them more masculine.

Today's Public Domain Character: Archie Andrews

Archie and the rest of the gang are public domain as the copyright for early Pep Comics which they made their debut in was not renewed and therefore wouldve had their copyright lapsed around 1970.

Now the more iconic look of the characters are under copyright but the basics of those characters are still public domain, the premise of archie vying for the attention of both betty cooper and veronica lodge is still there.

Jughead, Reggie, Katy Keene, the gang's all here for the most part and they didnt really change much personality wise with the redesigns that came way later on.

Characters such as Sabrina or Cheryl Blossom that were introduced way later are not in the public domain.

Sidenote: People who claim public domain produces nothing but horror versions of beloved characters, i mean...Archie Comics been doing horror versions of Archie characters for a long time, thats like half their lineup.

Plus Riverdale is...certainly a thing...

you tried to keep your relationship private for as long as you could, but, well, its hard to stay undercover.

the aggravated name calling came fast.

'we want kylie back' 'you stole chris' 'kill yourself' ; all things easily thrown under your tiktok's and insta posts.

calling you a 'slut' or a 'home-wrecker' just started rolling off of peoples tongues when your name was mentioned.

it truly disgusted you how people could just throw things out like they didn't have a care in the world. or that it would truly demoralize the person on the receiving end.

the threats and shaming put a hole in your heart. a huge, massive endless pit of a hole. it hurt, a lot. and chris knows that, and he tries and tries and tries to help you. but its very, very hard for the both of you.

so when chris walked into his room after taking a shower to find you sitting there staring at the wall, he knew something was up.

your eyes were puffy from recently shed tears, and the wall just seemed to get closer and closer.

"y/n?" he says, cautiously taking a step towards you. "whats up? im sorry, i didnt know you were coming over today."

a small sad laugh escapes your lungs as you look up at your boyfriend. your eyes wash over his face, confusion and worry crossing over every part of him.

the second he gets a good look at your state, his heart shatters.

you bite down hard on your lower lip, not really caring if you were to draw blood. "i..." your breath hitches as you attempt to choke back a sob. "we need to break up, chris."

his eyes widen, before he sighs, running his hands down his face. his face stays covered for just a second more. "we need to?" he sighs, still very confused of the conversation.

"im- im sorry-" you mumble, just barely audible for chris to hear.

chris walks over to where you sit on the bed, placing his hands on your knees and squatting down in front of you. "baby, please. you need to talk to me."

you shake your head, quiet tears falling from your closed eyes.

"baby-"

"no, chris." you sigh as he takes your hands in his. slowly rubbing circles along your knuckles. "i cant fucking take it anymore." opening your eyes, you find his eyes start to well up with tears. begging to fall down, but he keeps himself from falling undone in front of you. wanting to keep the situation as stable as possible.

"what?" he asks, exasperation lacing his shaking voice. "what cant you take anymore?"

"i love you chris, but your fans-"

"fuck them."

"you don't mean that."

the same sad laugh that you let out before, escapes his throat this time. "no i dont."

you smile lightly, but the flowing tears pushes back your moment of happiness.

"its almost wednesday, and we havent filmed a video yet-" you start to cut him off but he shakes his head. "no- matt and nick see it too. they'll talk about it i promise."

"chris..." you sigh, searching his teary blue eyes.

"just please, please... dont leave because of some stupid fans." he pleads. a single tear navigating down his cheek.

you drop his hand, reaching down to wipe it away with your thumb. hes slow to bring his own hand up, cupping your hand against his cheek.

your frown only deepens when he turns your palm to his lips, pressing a soft kiss to your open hand. "please, baby. i love you way to much to let you get to wrapped up in something like this. your my entire world and i cant believe-" he pauses to laugh, "i cant believe that i lived 18 years of my life without you there. and i cant imagine what it would be like without you."

"just... stay." he frowns, pressing another sad kiss to your knuckles.

you slide down, off the couch. leaning over to wrap your arms around the crying boy. "im sorry... i love you, baby."

he lets out a simple sigh of relief, wrapping his around you. fully embracing you into the hug. "i love you."

For the au asks What au do you want to elaborate on the most, but never have the ideas/opportunities?

Hmmmm, PsychicBlock!AU and Celebi!AU are really fun! The problem is that they dont translate well to writing/comics imo. Without going into a CRAPTON of exposition.

For example, Celebi AU was based on Ash going to the past by himself no pokemon, and was meant to come back to a world where nk one remembered him. The reason being that Celebi and Mewtwo had to erase him from everyones minds temporarily to prevent a time disruption. But forgot to add it back when he cane home.

This was before PLA was created! And onc eit was i decided that Ash was the one to go back to help with that whole sbebang ^^

Meanwhile Psychicblock AU was how and why Ash dealt with Legendary, mythical and negative encounters. The reason?

When Mewtwo 'erased' the memories of the group of children there, he hadnt actually erased it. Instead, he put a mental block that was supposed to prevent them from remembering so long as he was alive and no other psychic took it down.

Except, Ash and Pikachu somehow managed to use that mental block to basically block out anything they didnt like. Which consequentially looked like they never remembered anything.

It was supposed to break in Alola due to a Sabrina bringing her own students as a sort of meet up. And since the Student was jealous that Ash and Sabrina were friends, completely tore into his mind and ripped that Psychic wall down.

Hence Mental break down! And the eventual coming of Mewtwo protecting Ash and locking the students into the worst of Ash's memories to make them suffer until he helped Ash and Pikachu process and numb the sudden onslaught of memories.

Not so much an AU but i dont know what else to call it XD

Describe your writing process from idea to posting/publishing

sleeping. like thats the first step. i sleep a lot and i love it. before i fall asleep, i obvs am in my delulu lala land thinking about either my future husband or my fics and og books. from there i think about the weirdest unrealistic plots and then i keep thinking about them so i can remember them in the morning.

and then i write after im done helping with house chores and my work. i usually post the thing as soon as its done or shcedule it lol

pantser 😭 but recently ive been trying to become a plotter. wish me luck 🥲

What do you listen to when you are writing?

anything i can think of lol. sometimes its kpop, sometimes japanese or arabic songs. sometimes sabrina and taylor, sometimes skz and new jeans.

i usually add random songs i can think of in my playlist i listen to while doing chores, and then i continue listening to thos songs while writing.

almost all of my most loved fics have been ideas i thought no one would care about enough to read. and then the morning after i posted them, id wake up to people telling me how much they loved the fic and end up with me sobbing because everyones so lovely 🥹

also. people can sometimes be mean. 👏🏻IGNORE👏🏻THEM.👏🏻 ignore them the way you ignore maths when studying.

ive seen so many new talented writers either stop writing or lash back out at these clowns, but you need to understand that replying to these people who are just trying to get a rcton out of you is not worth it. your happiness matters more. put yourself before them and ignore thei comments if it hurts you. that will prick their egos more than you arguing with them.

What is a writing style/technique that others do really well that you'd like to get better at?

very rough and incomplete bullet points from aizas perspective of the story

feliks and aiza were childhood friends, they even survived the transition to secondary school!

however since beginning secondary school, aiza found just about any and every reason to dislike herself. shes insecure, like most young girls of her age, and being shoved into the 'cool' crowd didnt help. everyone is so judgy these days, right? at least she still has feliks.

aiza makes some really good friends. shes got an established close friend group now, actually, which is awesome. her main girls are noa, sabrina, evie and samara. nice.

aiza compares herself to everybody. literally everybody. she overthinks a lot and she perceives herself to be lagging behind, or something like that. she makes many an attempt to ensure that nobody else can think the same.

once she and feliks were about 14 they were closer than ever. romantic, even, which was new. aiza was extremely nervous to mess this up, but she was so excited to have a boyfriend, and especially for that boyfriend to be someone she already knows is great. their relationship is perfect, for a time.

feliks is being weird with her... for some reason. aiza tries not to overthink it, for once. its not like hes avoiding her. noa tells her that hes probably just also nervous because, after all, this whole intimacy thing might be new for him too. aiza doubts that it is, but at the same time maybe her bff has a point.

out of the blue, she spent almost the whole october week break no contact with feliks. at first, its whatever. hes probably just busy with homework or something. this was, however, an unlikely scenario. feliks hates homework. aiza becomes worried for him and catches up with him at school once they return. why isnt he explaining himself..?

"i cant go out with you anymore." or something along those lines. oh god. aizas whole world crumbled in front of her eyes right then. why? what changed? what did she do to deserve radio silence? not a single clue, but it must have been her fault. oh god.

aiza felt like every insecurity she had before had been magnified by about 500 times. what if all of her other friends secretly couldnt stand her and wanted her to leave them alone? what if noa thought she was boring and bland, unfunny and embarrassing? she must want a different best friend. she should pick sabrina or evie, they were so much more interesting and way cooler than aiza. she felt sick.

she tried to put on a brave face. if her friends asked her where feliks had went (she had no idea herself) she would tell them that he was just being a huge jerk and she didnt want anything to do with him anymore. she wished that were true.

noa would come to hear almost everything aiza had to say about feliks. 'almost' meaning just her anger, not her sadness. aizas sadness was private, for when she was alone. like when she felt like crying into her pillow at night.

her anger manifested in her throwing things at her bedroom walls, or feeling the need to walk right up to feliks and scream in his face. she hated him she hated him so so so much. what the hell made him think he could do this to her? after all their years of friendship?

at the same time, she didnt really hate him. she didnt understand how she felt, actually. he lingered on her mind much more than he deserved to.

she found out that enzo was friends with feliks now, which she found from the oh so trustworthy source of information which was karim, obviously. she didnt know enzo that well. anyway, she found him on the yard after she heard of this, and mildly confronted him. feliks is not someone you want to get close to, you know. she couldnt tell what enzo thought about her. was that skepticism in his expression? wanker.

aiza didnt hear much more from or about feliks at all, he had stopped talking to all of his other friends too, it seemed. this didnt make aiza feel any better, but at least it wasnt just her. she spoke to izak privately about it. he was feliks' best friend, the two of them could relate to each other on that. he didnt know much. their conversation became deep, though. aiza misread the situation and kissed izak... oops. he was not happy about that.

maybe aiza shouldve felt worse about what she did, especially since izak had a girlfriend already, who was evie, who was one of her closest friends. but she didnt feel that bad. she kind of didnt like evie that much anymore, anyway. (she felt terrible and scared, mostly in case noa or sabrina reacted badly to this... if they were to find out.)

once evie found out, there was a big argument in the refectionary. the perfect place to shout about something if you want the entire year to also hear about it. even feliks heard about it.
