My new years resolution

I think it is important to plan in advance and after my Utah trip I want to experience more beauty, expand my world. Car camping was so amazing, so good for my soul. I am tried of wasting my time and living in fear. I want to let go of everything that is holding me back. Waiting for a perfect relationship. Watching Television to numb my mind. I am excited for the silence and to grow more in my relationship with myself. I want this experience to positively influence my artwork and how it speaks to people. I want to speak with more people. More people that I don't know and will probably never see again. I don't want to look back on my life and feel like I didn't try to see all of this beautiful creation that isn't to far out of my reach.

I wanted to mix it up a bit. Instead of blue art- blue hands of the artist. . . Actually, did you know that indigo is making a comeback? We switched over to synthetic indigo (terrible for environment) awhile ago and natural indigo is finally making a comeback. The chaos of hair and my new cheek tattoos. I have always been a fan of wild hair. In 1970- 71ish I loved braiding my very fine white blonde hair all over while it was wet. By morning poof I had somewhat of a white afro. 😂However it took forever to do! I am glad all styles are back anything goes that suits one’s whims. What fun we are having in that regard. 11:11, Holly Gatrell Acrylic and biro on primed cotton . . . I get a little obsessed with making 11 11 marks....I used some black acrylic Mark making on a small piece of gesso primed calico and never knew what was going to happen with it. Then my student had a lot of acrylic left over after lesson so this was the result with biro details added.
