Quick pass back aboveground to finish out the last wilderness quest Rakha is at all interested in, which is the masterwork weapon. This is less because any of the available masterwork weapons are interesting to her personally and more because she is not enjoying walking around with a piece of sussur tree bark, because that tree made her VERY uncomfortable.
Originally she planned to give the resulting masterwork sword to Lae'zel (perhaps as a bit of a peace offering after how weird their friendship has been recently) but unfortunately it's shittier than her existing githyanki greatsword. So Karlach gets to have it in camp which probably makes her happy, so that's nice.

mmmm idk if I want the sussur dagger or the greatsword... the sword would make karlach even more of an absolute beast but the dagger is a big step up from my rapier for example. but I'm the only real dex based party member and I'm multiclass rogue/ranger and use long range stuff wayyy more often... someone make a decision for me....

BG3 Powerful + Lore-Friendly Karlach Build

2: No options
3: Subclass: Wildheart: Bear Heart.
4: No options
FEAT: Great Weapon Master
5: No options
6: +PALADIN, OATH OF VENGEANCE
All levels from this point on will be Paladin.
7: Fighting Style: Defence. This build ignores spells entirely, so just take whatever.
8: Head to Withers and respec.
Abilities: 16(14+2) / 14 / 14(13+1) / 8 / 8 / 14
These abilities leave one point floating. Don't know where that goes.
RESPEC LEVELS: 3 Barbarian, 5 Paladin.
FEAT: Great Weapon Master
9: No options
10: No options
11: No options
FEAT: There's a lot of good options but he goes with Polearm Master. Sentinel is also good
12: Either no options or take another level in Barbarian for one last feat.
RECOMMENDED GEAR:
ACT 1: [weapon option] Sussur Greatsword (The way to get this is a little too convoluted to describe)
[weapon option] Skybreaker (found inside a heavy chest in front of the entrance of the Arcane Tower)
Harold (gotten from Zarys in the Zhentarim Hideout. I think she gives it to you if you do her quest but she also drops it if you kill her)
Grymskull Helmet (dropped by Grym)
[helmet option] Haste Helm (found in chest in Blighted Village, outside next to a wagon)
Adamantine Scale Mail (Made at the Adamantine Forge)
Ring of Protection (Reward from Mol for completing Steal the Sacred Idol)
ACT 2: Cloak of Protection (sold by Quartermaster Talli at Last Light Inn)
Halberd of Vigilance (Dropped by Lann Tarv at Moonrise, or sold by him after earning favor with Z'rell and asking for help). Best option esp if going with Polearm Master feat.
[another weapon option] Defender Greataxe (I'm 99% sure Quartermaster Talli sells this at Last Light Inn)

Another Random Headcanon // @neredoesnotfail
Giving Companion!Nere the Sussur Bark Greatsword is just -chef's kiss- Why? you might you ask. "So, you can't cast more than basic magic again because you're no longer a warlock of the Absolute? Here, take this sword. Use that right and the other person won't be able to use magic either." 😊
Consider it a personal blessing.
[ Please ignore the hireling information in the tags and under the level description. I am on console and modifying a hireling is, thus far, the only way I can recruit him. I desperately need the "recruit any NPC" mod to drop for console. 😂 ]

[ID: a screenshot from Baldur's Gate 3. The created player character is standing between Karlach and Lae'zel, both of whom have drunk Elixir of the Colossus, so they are twice as tall as normal and have a blue-white glow, most distinct around their eyes. End ID.]
The theme of my woodland cleric playthrough is making as many Elixirs of the Colossus as possible so I can tear the Sword Coast apart with my trio of giant wives
[ID: A screenshot of the Grymforge boss fight. Karlach and Lae'zel are standing either side of Grym, collapsed in the lava, attacking it with the Everburn Blade and the Sussur Greatsword respectively. End ID.]
This is how 98% of fights went until I figured out how to reclass Shadowheart as a paladin. My cleric is still extremely squishy.
[ID: a screenshot of the party standing by the Blood of Lathander contraption in Rosymorn Monastery. Shadowheart, Karlach and Lae'zel have all drunk Elixirs of the Colossus and are twice as tall as normal. End ID.]
Never talk to me or my three giant wives ever again

Tales from the Scrap Pile
Tagged by @ramonadecember. This is something that is truly a blast from the past, from a writing project I’m not sure I’ll resume writing: a glimpse into the latter part of my long-in-hiatus Blight fic of my Canon Grey Warden, Kalindra Tabris. I miss her immensely, and I love sharing unseen glimpses of her story.
Due to the length, I’ll be using a Read More below. So, before then, I’ll tag @bh-chaotic and @lathboraxviran. I’m also welcome to be re-tagged with a specific request, but for this one, I’ll be a little self-indulgent. Thank you!
So, without further ado, Kalindra Tabris on the way to the Landsmeet.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Everything was at a distance as she walked through Denerim, Alistair and Sten at her sides. Zevran had not returned, as she had suspected, Leliana was too Orlesian, and Morrigan was... well, Morrigan. Beautiful, powerful, and unsuitable for political maneuvering in the Fereldan court. Fen’len was, naturally, unsuitable, and Wynne...
She pushed the tears away. She would mourn the old mage later.
As they approached the entrance of the hall in which the Landsmeet would take place, Kalindra paused and took in the contingent of forces awaiting her. Cauthrien. Of course.
Before the woman warrior could do more than step forward and put her hand on the long blade sheathed at her back, Kalindra said quietly, “I wanted to thank you.”
The comment obviously gave the woman pause. Kalindra felt Alistair’s incredulous gaze on her as Cauthrien tilted her head and replied, “I’m sorry, what?” Her hand remained on the hilt of her weapon, but the puzzled look on her face indicated that Kalindra had gained her attention.
“For saving the servants at Ostagar,” Kalindra explained, her green eyes not wavering from the (brown) ones of the warrior of such misguided loyalty. “I was told it was you who set aside a contingent of warriors to guide the non-combatants from Ostagar and set them on the path to Lothering. You saved the life of a friend of mine with those actions.” She put her hands together and bowed slightly, holding it as she continued. “No matter what may come to pass, no matter how we may disagree with each other regarding the necessity of the deaths which need not have occurred, I am yet grateful to you for taking those actions.”
“The code of the knight dictates that as many lives be saved as possible,” Cauthrien answered automatically.
“Pity not all at Ostagar followed it as assiduously as you did,” Kalindra replied, keeping her tone soft and soothing. “Perhaps I would not be here if he had done so.”
A sussuration of sound filled the room as the warriors with Cauthrien drew their swords, but Kalindra kept her position, her peripheral vision telling her that Cauthrien’s greatsword was still in its scabbard. After a few tense-filled seconds, Cauthrien said in a terse tone, “He devoted his entire life to Ferelden, and done more for it than you can possibly imagine.”
Kalindra finally looked up. “Then let me help him keep his honor. History will condemn the man who let the country be devoured by darkspawn more than they will acclaim the Hero of River Dane.”
For an instant everything else faded away, and it was just two women staring at each other, the fate of Ferelden in their hands. With a shake of her head, Cauthrien’s hand tightened around her hilt. “You have torn this nation apart to oppose my lord, and never once tried to understand why he is a hero to Ferelden.”
“He is a hero for some of Ferelden,” Kalindra said, acid in her tone. “Ask the people of the Alienage whether or not they felt his recent actions were heroic. Ask those who were assured that his forces would back them up at Ostagar whether his flight from battle without warning was heroic. Ask your Queen whether his support of Rendon Howe was heroic.”
“You killed--”
“--a rabid animal who deserved to be put down. I’ve done it before, and it seemed appropriate to do it again.” Kalindra took a step forward, ignoring the knights around Cauthrien as they stepped closer. “Seems you shem can’t keep your own houses in order.” She took another step forward, keeping her eyes locked with Cauthrien’s. “Look me in the eye and tell me you have absolutely no doubt of any of his actions, that never for an instant did you doubt his honor, and I will turn around and walk out that door.”
“Kalindra--!” she heard Alistair protest, but she held up her hand.
“Tell me he is the same man to whom you swore your oath as a knight, and I will walk away. Otherwise, let me stop him.”
The clear brown eyes across from hers widened, the brows pinching together above them. When she saw the traces of moisture gather along the bottom lid, Kalindra felt a surge of triumph roll over her. She had read the woman correctly.
The warrior removed her hand from the hilt of her weapon and bowed her head. “I never thought duty would taste so bitter.” The knights around her shifted uneasily on their feet, but at a gesture from Cauthrien, their swords returned to their scabbards. “Stop him, Warden. Stop him from betraying everything he once loved.” When she looked up, her eyes gleamed brightly, but there was no sign of tears or that they had once threatened. Instead, she dropped to her knees, retaining her dignity even in that position. “I beg of you, however, to please show mercy. Without Loghain, there would be no Ferelden to defend.”
Kalindra stared at her, trying to see history through a perspective where that statement in any way made sense. For the Alienage, the changeover from Orlesian to Fereldan kings had meant only that those who abused them spoke with different accents. Before she could respond directly, however, Alistair declared, “And because of him, there is almost no Ferelden left to defend.”
Cauthrien flinched, but kept her gaze on Kalindra alone. “Please... show mercy,” she repeated softly.
“His fate is in his own hands,” Kalindra replied.
The warrior bowed her head, then stood and stepped aside, waving her fellow knights away from the door. “Enter, Warden. May the Maker guide your path.”
Kalindra closed her eyes, remembering the tingle of ashes heavy with the price of faith and the gaze of one who had remained true to his own path for centuries. “Prepare yourself for war, Cauthrien. The time for battle against Fereldans is over. The darkspawn await.”
And then she moved to the doors. Two of Cauthrien’s knights hurriedly reached for the door and swung it wide, bowing to her in the process. The now constant pain in her abdomen grew more intense, and she took a moment to steady herself. Behind her, she knew, Alistair and Sten stood ready for her command. Fighting the urge to turn and run, to leave it all behind, she forced her spine to stiffen and her foot to make that first step forward.
Never had fighting the darkspawn seemed so simple...
Baldur’s Gate Cheats List , Item Codes, Spawn NPC and Glitches
💾 ►►► DOWNLOAD FILE 🔥🔥🔥 Hints and Tips for: Baldur's Gate 3. Baldur's Gate 3 Cheats. Breaking this wall will give you access to the area the quest can be picked up in. You could collect the large amount of weapons note that the masterwork weapon will require a sythe, greatsword, or dagger so you could leave one of those there for later. After picking up the quest from the chest and realizing you need susser bark, the bark can only be found in the underdark and is protected by several level 4 hook horrors which can be devestated to an unprepared team. The hook horrors can be more easily managed by bringing them up onto this ledge here and after taking a swing you can push them off the ledge for some heavy fall damage, they will then waste their next turn getting back up onto the ledge. Defeating them you can now loot the tree of it's bark. Heading back to the forge and using the bark on the fire will turn the flames blue. Now use either a greatsword, scythe, or dagger on the forge to finish the masterwork weapon. Enjoy your new Sussur weapon! Sorrow is a unique 2-hander with a powerful ability. A successful pickpocket will yield the room and navigating back to the statue surrounded by runes and placing your own newly commandeered rune will open the secret passageway. The legendary weapon is now available to be obtained and is sitting on the table. While looting all the other goodies you will also obtain the Robe of Summer, granting a resistance to cold damage. Useful Tips and Tricks: Written by Crunchie Just a collection of stuff that is not immediately obvious when playing the game. Also some ideas for characters and stuff. Top tip: Avoid teleporting spiders. Very important for high dex characters. Seriously, is not a good idea. Keep an eye out for them. Play your cards right and you can have some fun. Or turn down everyone like the socially awkward person you are and realize why you are still single IRL too. Or you can just punch them in the face and feel like a badass for 0. Not sure which. Not judging, just thought you should know that the spells and stuff are on loan. Hence only two spell slots. The type of ability score you hex will determine the affect of the hex. So, if it's a big strong dude who hits really hard in melee, hex strength so he can't hit you. Hex the dexterity of the archer, so they also can't hit you. Or combine and hex to wisdom and a spell from another caster to give that spell a better chance of working. Sleepy sleepy trolls. But it's more fun to say squishy. Movement, attack and healing spells are the most valuable in my opinion. But you do you. This is more important for people in the front with light armor. This should be your highest score. In general though this is str for fighter, dex for rogue, int for wizard, wis for cleric, and wis or dex for ranger. It is merely another path. Which all your characters must take. If only one or two die, it'll be fine. I think. So expect to get flanked, put to sleep, have a single character focussed down, and all the things your DM could do to you IRL but doesn't because he wants you to come back and play with him next week. A lot can happen, personal drama, cinematics, new friends, and it's very easy to put a foot wrong when you you were just trying to be funny. Just like real life. So save, it's not save scumming if it was unintentional! The bigger the die being rolled for your weapon damage, the more damage it will do, however, more die, of a smaller number, offer more consistent damage If you want to know the nerdy math behind it, 2d6 cannot roll lower than a 2, but have a lower chance of rolling two 6's. Overall, the affect is debatable but more die tend to feel more consistent than larger, but fewer die. This matters because Backstab is a thing basically you get a bonus to your attack roll if attacking from behind this applies to all enemies and your characters too. Preferably from stealth. With a rogue. Anything that can stun, terrify or put to sleep the enemy. They aren't fancy or flashy but boy howdy are they effective. Cleric FTW. As you level up you can use a bonus action to hide again as a rogue. However, you need to make sure you are out of line of sight of the enemy to do this. It is more effective to be a dual-wield melee rogue. As you get to attack again with your off hand as a bonus action. Letting you get as much as four! Get horns It's an RPG, stop playing human fighters, ugh. Healing word is a bonus action that lets you pick up allies from a distance. There is no reason to ever not have healing word. Keep healing word in your spell list! Bane anti-bless is more situational but more useful in those situations. I wonder what they do? Nice to have, but not necessary for survival. Do not make fun of their noses. I just.. Everyone will think you are probably stuck up because you think you're better than them. Which is quite unfair. You know you are better than them. It will want to but be afraid of leaving the goblins. It showed up at my camp after a few long rests. They are not necessarily the most powerful, but they are simple and straightforward. The Warlock is the simplest class to understand if you are aiming for magic-users. If you want a little bit of both, the Cleric is a great martial class with healing magic. If you have three party members taking turns at the same time, then an enemy afterwards, you can swap your party member turn around however desired before the enemy turn. You can do the same if you just have two characters taking turns at the same time. This can be very useful. However, the breaking glass does cause damage -- so do not use this technique if your ally has almost no health. You can also throw potions on the ground to create a little pool of healing your party members can stand in. If there is a weak wall, make sure to inspect it to see which type of damage needs to be applied. Force or Blunt damage will knock down walls, while piercing or slashing damage will not help at all. Lure Enemies to Death: The Find Familiar spell summons a Familiar you can command and lure into advantageous combat areas. Summon a Familiar and lure enemies under a rooftop so you can easily snipe them. The distraction can be very useful. Use the Environment to Your Advantage: Using the environment can be your best weapon. Pushing enemies off ledges, luring them into traps, or setting off explosive barrels are great strategies for tough fights. You can also throw a poison potion on the ground in a chokepoint and defend that position, poisoning incoming enemies as they try to reach you. Instantaneous spells are cast immediately on use, but Concentration spells take some time. If you are attacked while trying to summon a Concentration spell, you will have to make a successful ability check or your spell will be interrupted. You will have to take short rests to recover some abilities and spells, and others can only be recovered after a long rest at your camp. Try to save spells for situations where you are outnumbered or in a tough fight. Rogues Tricks: Rogues are normally good with bows-and-arrows, but they are also good in close-range. If you are in a fight, you can jump Free Action to avoid reaction attacks and retreat, or you can enter sneak on your turn and hug the back of an enemy for a sneak attack. It seems strange to activate mid-battle, but it can work. With bows, you can dip your arrows into fire to set them ablaze and burn enemies. Try taking the high-ground as well. You will get bonuses for accuracy and range. Additionally, if an ally is standing next to an enemy in combat, you will have a better chance of hitting that enemy. The same is the case for magic-users trying to sling spells. Throw Teammates and Enemies: If your strength is high enough, you can throw teammates and enemies. You can pick up enemies and throw them over a ledge for a quick kill. Submit your codes! Having Codes, cheat, hints, tips, trainer or tricks we dont have yet? Heading towards what I thought was a quick loot pickup west of the House of Healing when suddenly:
I totally forgot I even had a psionic detector; it's the thing Kith'rak Voss gave to us when he dropped by the camp to enlist Lae'zel in his rebellion.
And then literally one step forward and the battle popped.
Five githyanki starting out of the shadows at us, led by this lady:
W'wargaz, of course, was the Inquisitor back at the creche who we ended up beating the shit out of. Clearly the news of our bad behavior in Vlaakith's house has spread.
Honestly a bit surprised they made it all the way out here, though - and haven't been consumed by the curse. Pity they want to kill us; they could probably teach us some tricks.
Decent fight. Current strategy of choice is having Gale cast Haste on Karlach and then just letting her go to town on everyone. Four back to back Sussur Greatsword attacks with 18 STR from a raging tiefling with full damage resistance will put a damper on anyone's day.
Hector pointed out that it does seem like Voss wasn't lying to them - or at least his word was good regarding what the psionic detector does.
The ch'r'ai was carrying "Royal Orders" which were very short and to the point:
I think we can safely say Vlaakith doesn't like us anymore. Sorry, Lae'zel. (Although realistically I think Lae'zel has fully comprehended the situation at this point; she just doesn't like it and doesn't want to talk about it.)
Some pretty spiffy new armor for Lae'zel too:
