Bihar Director General of Police (DGP) Gupteshwar Pandey has accused the Mumbai Police of not investigating the financial angle in the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. He alleged that in the past four years, Rs 50 crore was withdrawn from the late actor’s account, and Rs 15 crore was withdrawn in the last year alone.

A few days back, the AIIMS report declared that Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide and ruled out the murder angle. The report by AIIMS reportedly matches the conclusion reached by the CBI investigators who are currently probing the cause of the death. The CBI team had reconstructed the scene of the crime soon after they had taken over the case in August.

According to a report in the Indian Express, a forensic audit of Rajput's bank accounts has not revealed anything suspicious that would suggest that his girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty could have pushed him to suicide for financial gains. Reportedly, the CBI is now looking into various reasons that could have possibly led to Rajput taking his own life. They will be looking into professional rivalry, nepotism in Bollywood, effect of drug abuse, his mental health and any role played by Chakraborty.

The forensic audit report revealed that over Rs 70 crore worth of transactions were made through Rajput's accounts in the past five years. However, only Rs 55 lakhs have been found to be associated with Chakraborty. As per reports, the expenses were made on travel, spas and gifts.

While Rhea Chakraborty continues to be under the scanner of the CBI for abetment of suicide, the agency has not yet found any concrete motive for abetment. The investigation is still on and the agency will be looking into every aspect.

According to Times Now, Rhea Chakraborty has failed to reveal one phone number of hers while getting interrogated by ED, who is now downloading ‘hidden files’. It was during last week that Rhea Chakraborty, along with her brother Showik Chakraborty and manager Shruti Modi, was grilled by the Enforcement Directorate for whopping hours in regards to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death investigation. The actress and her brother have been alleged of transacting heavy amounts from the late actor’s bank account.  Now, if a report in Times Now is anything to go by, Rhea, during her interrogation at the ED office, failed to submit one of her phone numbers. As per sources close to the news portal, Rhea Chakraborty was asked to submit all her electronic devices; however, she didn’t reveal one of her numbers that she was using. It further adds that the ED is likely to download the hidden data from Rhea’s belongings. Times Now calls it a ‘sensational cover-up’. Actor Rhea Chakraborty, who is making headlines in connection to Sushant Singh Rajput's death, has been summoned again by Enforcement Directorate (ED) on August 10. The actress was questioned for over eight hours on Friday, August 7.

Her plea to postpone the ED questioning until the Supreme Court hearing on Tuesday was rejected.  She was summoned in connection with the money laundering case after Sushant's father filed a complaint accusing her of allegedly siphoning off Rs. 15 crores.

The actress was reportedly grilled for eight hours on Friday at the ED office. During the questioning, she spoke about the three companies of Sushant Singh Rajput which she is partners in, Rhea Chakraborty said that Rs. 1 lakh was paid up as capital that was shared by Sushant, herself and her brother Showik Chakraborty. She reportedly said besides that she didn't spend any more on the company.

Rhea was further questioned about the two properties she owns. She said that she took a loan of Rs. 60 lakh for her Khar East, Mumbai flat, and the rest of the amount that is Rs. 25 lakh was paid as down payment through her own income. A 550 sq ft flat l, that was bought for Rs. 85 lakh, was booked under Rhea’s name in 2018.

Reportedly, the actress couldn't provide documented evidence about her expenses running into lakhs.

Rhea's brother Showik Chakraborty, her CA Ritesh Shah, and Sushant Singh Rajput's former business manager Shruti Modi were also questioned by ED on Friday.

Speaking to India Today, Sushant’s father KK Singh's lawyer Vikas Singh said, “The family of Sushant has learnt that in last one year, Rs 15 crore was transferred to accounts which are not even associated to Sushant. It is possible that Rhea and her family members may have defrauded that money. Also, bank statements indicate regular huge cash transactions at a time when Sushant was being controlled by Rhea needs to be investigated.”

The Central Bureau Of Investigation (CBI), on August 6, registered an FIR against six people including Sushant Singh Rajput’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty. The others named in the FIR are Rhea's brother Showik Chakraborty, father Indrajit Chakraborty, mother Sandhya Chakraborty, Sushant's house manager Samuel Miranda and Shruti Modi. The charges leveled against the six of them are abetment to suicide, criminal conspiracy, theft, cheating, intimidation, wrongful restraint, or confinement, among others.

Sushant Singh Rajput passed away on June 14. He was found hanging at his Bandra apartment.
