Gods, I just watched Kedarnath and... I'm going to cry a little I think. Or a lot.
First of all, Sara Ali Khan is fantastic, no doubt about that.
Secondly, Sushant Singh Rajput, you are a star and you are eternally missed.
Tumblr media
Thirdly, floods and tsunamis are one of my biggest fears and mother of gods I'm going to have nightmares. That was A LOT of water.
Fourth, the songs were so good. So, so good. Qaafirana and Jaan Nisaar and Sweetheart? Gods, take a knife directly to my chest, won't you.
Fifth, the valley is beautiful. The movie is beautiful, the settings, the story, the love, the realness of it all...
Tumblr media
And finally, I loved it and my heart was beating so fast, and my eyes are full of tears and I'm going to go and curl up in my bed and have ten thousands feelings.

Why I don’t like Ranveer Singh
Tumblr media
This is the most impulsive blog that I am writing of my entire writing journey. 😂
A teaser dropped in of Karan Johar's 'Rocky aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani'. And I liked the teaser. So when discussing with a Friend I highlighted that I do not like Alia and Ranveer but I liked the teaser due to the Karan Johar touch. And then we almost fought over why I do not like Ranveer because I was not given a good typing time in the so-called ‘debate’😁. My argument is a deal.
Why I don’t like him.
Ranveer Singh as an actor is too loud who overpowers the character.
In the times of multiple entertainment formats (Movie, web series etc) Ranveer Singh is the same everywhere. You watch Simmba, Bajirao Mastani and Ramleela or Padmavat, nothing changes apart from looks.
He may play versatile roles but that ‘Ranveer’ energy never offloads.
He is neither the boy next door nor a goor or bad cop personality. Then what is his own?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So Ranveer Singh is a good actor. No doubt. But as a fan you fall for the personality of an actor equally. It is an era of social media. Actors want to be seen on screen and at events, airports, reality shows, weddings and funerals as well. I mean why do you think Ranveer wears flashy clothes and roams around with huge speakers at airports. To be seen. Isn't it? I do not want to see a weird man like this. I am from an era of SRK, Akshay, Ajay, Amir, Salman, Jackie and even Govinda for that matter. I accepted yellow and red pants and even ripped jeans with bare chest Salman. Our generation has accepted it all. But Salman never roamed around in public with a t-shirt off or Govinda in Yellow pants I suppose. Of course we did not have instagram then. But humans remain humans. You absorb the advisable and avoid the ignorable. 😁 Ranveer did exactly the opposite. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I some how do not fit into that transition unless its only limited to screens. These actors are still on camera but then there is a big space in between the paparazzi cams and film cameras. Ranveer just mixes it all.
Jokes apart. An actor is an actor on screen but an individual outside. Shouldn't there be a difference when you see this man in both the places? "His 'traits' are such" as my friend points. But then do you mean he is acting on the outside too? Or is he not able to get into the character because of how he is on the outside? I am really confused. Where does he take real efforts? On or off screen? So much coincidence in every role and script that his traits are so magnetic for all the makers to want him to be him everywhere? Isn't he bored of jumping and bouncing everywhere? He was hopping as Kapil Dev also. Seriously? Thank God he did not play Dhoni. 😓Didn’t we see Sushant Singh Rajput as Dhoni and Sushant both?
Tumblr media
I remember Sushant in Shudh Desi Romance, I remember Shahid in Kabir Singh as well as Jab we met, I even remember Sonakshi in Holiday and Tapasee in Thappad as well as Naam Shabana. Do you remember Ranveer in Ladies Vs Ricky Behl? If No, I will tell you why. Because he has overdone Band Baaja Baraat all the time. Once he realized it works he decided to eat, drink and sleep on it. He enjoys the fun those young fans have when they see this over enthusiastic man. He enjoys the following for his madness.
Tumblr media
But when the same actor sheds tears on screen it does not reach the heart because you saw him last jumping when he promoted the film repeatedly. That emotion does not register. Because the man is very shallow. He does not show different shades of human personality. I suppose he doesn’t want to. I distinctly remember Ranveer in Ladies Vs Ricky Behl, Lootera, Dil Dhadakne Do, Gully Boy and 83. Movies where we could forget him as Ranveer and only watch Kabir, Murad or Ricky. In Fact he has done really amazing as all of them. As an actor he himself does not want to showcase various strokes as an artist. He can carry some roles naturally with ease like ‘Kabir’ in Dil Dhadakne Do. I loved him in that film. But you see him purely acting there because you have seen that of him very less. I am sure people will say 'film hai acting nahi karega toh kya karega'. But when that acting shows on the face of an actor in 2015 who debuted in 2010, you know it's a long way to go. Pagalpanti wala formula hit hai.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When I compared him to Govinda. My friend just rubbished the comparison saying ‘how can they be the same. Are Shahid and Ranveer the same?’ Now, let's answer that argument. Shahid comes from a horribly dysfunctional family background. Yet you see a calm and composed man when you see Shahid in real life. Nobody knows what happens in their personal lives. But when you see the man, you identify with his ‘traits'. Imagine Shahid hopping around and smiling unnecessarily to hide the misery. How do we judge this man called Ranveer? Shouldn't you be able to point out a difference between Simmba and Ranveer?😁 He is a next level mad man. Even the bad man is good in real life. 😂
People like me are in the minority. But we enjoyed all types of actors. When we saw the same people outside the films they were different people. So we knew Jackie Shroff as a good actor and Jackie Shroff as a rugged man with filthy Hindi. It never bothered me because when I heard him speaking Hindi in movies he was the most ideal man anybody could wish for. As a fan I see a lot of them everywhere today. So I can expect a lot from them on screen too. Govinda gets an upperhand there because apart from films I only saw him in awards or some red carpet. But today the way actors are 'available' for paps I will judge you over every small act. 😜
Tumblr media Tumblr media
For example ‘83’. Great job here but when promoting Ranveer failed to imbibe even 20% of Kapil Dev’s calmness. Too loud. So what you see is Ranveer Singh again. I believe if the actor is playing a role he/she should be able to carry it for some time to make people believe in your work. You are not the same in office as home and vice a versa. Some dignity is required. Just because you belong to the entertainment industry you do not get the liberty to act like a retard everywhere and yet be loved for ‘he is so energetic’ nuisance. Otherwise you may swim in insanity. I am very sure it’s just pretending. He is not the way he shows us to be. Even Deepika tried this madness but then immediately bounced back. You cannot keep on pretending. This man is a constant nautanki. 😯
You can’t blame Ranveer completely. Because we have not seen the real Peshwa Bajirao we believed Ranveer did a fine job. After all it was Sanjay Leela Bhansali who made us believe. Ranveer was not even close to a Marathi common man yet people went gaga over him. Personally I feel he sounded just like Ram from Ramleela. Let's not go to the dance for even a second. But Rohit Shetty just proved me right because he could not remove a Singh out of Ranveer to play a Bhalerao. Do not worry, I googled Simmba. ☺️
Tumblr media
You are not just a fan of one movie but collectively an actor's work and how he behaves in reality. Ranveer Singh confuses me. And confusion cannot entertain. Hence he fails to be liked by me. 🙂
Now we plan Alia Bhatt war! ⚠️

Its really hard to study for neet 2025 because seeing how neet 2024 was conducted and how the government didn't take any action against it was enough depressing and then this kolkata case happened and I really don't want to become doctor in a country where the supposed highest respected job is treated like utter trash. It's professionals are being raped and murdered and all the people with power are trying to fucking cover it.
I dont want to study day and night to save the lives of people like them. I'd rather become a rich corrupted politician because at this point only they are living a life rest of us are their fucking slaves and puppet.
And stupid are those people who think this candle march and CBI is gonna do anything. CBI did nothing in pune porche case and sushant sing rajput murder case, they are fucking scared of some business man and bollywood actors; how and why do you think they will do anything against that monster didi. This is just like a tragic movie in India infact like a sequel to a movie they even named it nirbhaya 2.0. We will get such superhit movies in future as well because this is my country and I know how wonderful it's production is.

Should nepotism be banned in Indian Cinema?
Nepotism has long been a very loaded word in the Indian Film Industry. From the Akhtars to the Bachchans, from the Bhatts to the Khers, everybody knows that, no matter how much one might protest against nepotism, the so-called “film families" have a stronghold on Indian Cinema. But what is wrong with nepotism, anyway?
Nepotism is simply defined as the practice of those with power and influence, favoring friends and relatives, especially by providing jobs. In the Indian film industry, one may see nepotism in how veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan's son Abhishek, is constantly mocked for subpar acting, or the daughter of film director Mahesh Bhatt, Alia, is belittled then and again for a perceived sub-average intelligence. And despite such ignominy, both continue to enjoy a variety of roles and jobs. However, a more somber look into the topic reveals much more.
Nepotism has often been blamed for the suicide of beloved actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who was found deceased in his home on June 14, 2020. Rajput had no familial connections in the film industry, and many substantial claims, most infamously by actress Kangana Ranaut, say he suffered due to it. It has opened a long-slumbering public's eye to the pains and griefs a newcomer might suffer through.
Moreover, looking at the general trends, one might even notice how much of a poor reception, the movies of big names in cinema have had since then. Lal Singh Chadha and Radhe primarily come to mind. It would not be farfetched to say that Bollywood is losing the public's faith and trust.
So, all there can be said, in conclusion, is that stagnation is fatal. Encouraging new, fresh blood is the only way to revive public trust and restore the glory of Indian film industry.

Two Parallel Trends
We all must have learnt a lot about Parallel lines in Maths classes. The two lines run together and yet never meet each other but are still simultaneously running. Do not worry my post is not about these concepts. My this post is about two trends on social media with special mention to Instagram and Facebook. There is honestly no big connection in between but there is one common thing and that is “STUPIDITY”
Well lets get down to the two trends that have and are still having most attention on social Media.
1. Animal Abuse for Likes
This particular trend is till now getting a lot of attention on Instagram. Basically  many Insta handles are posting pictures of Dogs who are suffering from some sort of physical problems like some are getting old, whereas some are suffering from blindness or any other problems. Stupidity is after posting the poor animal’s photo the people are writing things like “I know I am blind so I wont even get one like or share” or stuff like “Don’t you Love me? If you do please hit a like”..I tried to find a picture to serve you all as a proof but I could not but you readers can find it on Instagram.
If the particular dog is different from rest others people can help them but what is happening to gain likes the owners are using their problems as a tool to gain popularity. I am not against their problems and have some heart for them but what is happening is pure stupidity. Earlier this trend had taken place but Babies with ailments had taken place and it was a big trend. This is in a way Animal Abuse. One more thing is the people posting these things do is “Emotional blackmail” like they write “Only those do not have heart will scroll further”. This is icing on  the cake. Honestly speaking if the owners posting this have a heart do something for the animals rather than misusing their problems it will benefit the poor animal.
2. Sushant Singh Rajput Case
On 14th June 2020 three years back Sushant ended his life and sparked a big outcry. Bollywood changed and so did outlook of people changed. Nepotism debate took over all sorts of media be it Print, Television or Social Media. Everywhere there was one big trend which still continues- Justice For SSR. Surprisingly many big names were dragged in this case. I will not name them as I do not wish to land in legal trouble.
I am a Sushant Fan personally speaking so much that when MS Dhoni Untold Story re-released on 12th May 2023 I again went to watch it but this time for Sushant. Alright, although I am his fan and I too want justice for him but seeing the current trend I am sorry to say Justice will not happen. Just by putting his photos on whole media Do you all think it will work?  Here comes the stupidity. The Only Solution as I see is people must come collectively and actively Petition the Government and fast track this case. File a Public Interest Litigation(PIL) and put the culprits to justice. One more thing that can simultaneously be done is Boycott the movies in which Sushant’s haters are involved . Do Not give them any business and see patiently how everything falls in place hopefully.
So these were the two trends that were running parallel but together. The trends were totally different in nature but common thing was stupidity. I am not saying that it is wrong to get likes for something or justice is impossible but all I am trying to say there is a genuine and positive way to do things.

What is empathy?
Empathy is the ability to understand and share the feelings of another person. It is the ability to put oneself in someone else's shoes and feel what they feel.
Tumblr media
However, it is important to note that empathy and sympathy are often confused and misunderstood too. There is a lot of fake empathy that's shown in the media and movies.
Take for example the movie, A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood. Fred Rogers not only shows sympathy towards Lloyd Vogel in the movie, but also helps him mend his relationship with his father. He achieved this only by being empathetic towards him not showing sympathy.
While his wife shows him sympathy but cannot understand him. This causes problems in their relationship. The problem in real life is however, not just empathy and sympathy. It is fake empathy! Take for example, the actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. The media went after the news like a pack of hungry wolves, the movie industry gushed in with their fake tears and memories of him.
In the melee, none of these vultures took the time to understand what the family was going through. They only cared about furthering their agenda of gaining TRPs or media attention. So, what gives? Are there really any real people left? Can we make any real connections? Yes, there is! The only way to build true connections is by fighting Fake Empathy, with real empathy. We all need to learn to put ourselves in their shoes and understand them. Only then can we bring about positive change in our surroundings and in the world.
Unlike empathy, sympathy is feeling sorry for someone, but not necessarily understanding or sharing their feelings. It is more about compassion for someone, rather than truly understanding what they are going through.
For example, a person might say "I'm sorry you're going through a tough time," as a sympathetic response, while an empathetic response would be "I understand that this must be really hard for you right now."
In short, empathy is the ability to understand and share the feelings of others, while sympathy is feeling compassion for someone but not necessarily understanding their sense It's important to understand the difference between the two so that when we approach people in difficult situations, we can be more helpful and less judgmental.
And always remember, it’s ok if you cannot be empathetic and offer your sympathy. Just do not be a vulture preying on their emotions to further your agenda. Karma

Research and Planning For Our Trailers: Part 9- Producer’s PPT
intense plot To make our pre-production, research and planning easier like last year we had to make a Producer’s PPT.  This includes the summary, synopsis, unique selling point (USP), colour palettes and target audience of the film.
We first had to write a short synopsis of our story. In screenwriting, a movie synopsis is a brief summary of a completed screenplay's core concept, major plot points, and main character arcs. A screenwriter primarily writes a script synopsis as a selling tool to convince film industry higher-ups to read the full screenplay. A film synopsis is also called a "one-pager" because it's ideally a single page long.
Image of our film story synopsis-
Tumblr media
We then had to write a brief summary of the film. It summarizes the plot of of the film without giving too much of the storyline away. We made our summary brief and suspenseful making the audience want to watch the film.
Image of our films summary-
Tumblr media
Next we had to write a catchy one liner for our film story. A one liner explains the film in one sentence. Our liner explains the entire plot of the film and gives a hint as well.
Image of our films one line-
Tumblr media
We then had to write what our films unique selling point (USP) is. Unique selling point is what will set your film project apart and make it stand out from all your competitors. Our films USP is that it is an exciting plot with a killer reveal like no other, which is all four best friends killing Suhana.
Image of our films USP-
Tumblr media
After that we had to write what social groups or issues are highlighted in our film. Our social group that we have represented in our story is Indians as the story takes place in Mumbai. We show Indian students out of their stereotype. Each character is from a different religion as well. For instance, Isha is Punjabi. In our film our main issues we have highlighted are cyber-bullying. This is shown when Suhana bullies Isha on social media. The second is school bullying, this is shown when Suhana bullies Varun in middle school. The third is sexual assault. This is shown when Sushant forces himself on a younger girl at a party.
Image from our ppt-
Tumblr media
We then moved onto characters. We had to divide our characters into primary, secondary and tertiary. Primary characters are your main players in the story. They might be your protagonist and villain, but your primary characters may be your whole cast if you're writing from multiple points of view. These are the characters your story revolves around in. So in our film story our primary characters are Suhana (victim), Isha, Naisha, Varun and Sushant. They are the characters that our film story revolves around. Secondary characters are not the main focus in the story but instead support the protagonist in to ultimately help them achieve their goal, have a transformation, or move the story forward. In our film story the secondary characters are the detective and Rahul. They help move the story forward. Tertiary characters are the third most important characters in a story. They pop up in one or two scenes and say one or two lines. In our film we do not have any tertiary characters.
Image of Primary Character from our ppt-
Tumblr media
Image of our Secondary character from our ppt-
Tumblr media
Next we had to make our films colour palette.  The colour palette of a film is a subtle way to visually enhance the emotional aspects of a film and guide the viewer to respond to it on a visceral level. Understanding the basic components of colour, warm colours and cool colours, as well as how the audience responds to these colours is essential. Since our film takes place in the fall season and during Halloween time, we decided to have warmer tones. Such as, deep orange, beige, amber and ruby red. However, after the murder takes place, the film will shift into a slightly cooler tone with warm tones mixed. The cool tone (deep purple and blue) symbolises the mystery feeling and the warm tones (deep red and orange)  symbolise the anger, hatred and revenge feeling.
Image of our colour palette-
Tumblr media
Then we had to research what our locations were going to look like. Since most of the scenes take place in a private school, we decided we needed the location to look like a fancy huge private school. Our locations needed are the classroom, the school staircase, the stairs, auditorium and so on. We also have a few bedroom scenes.
Image of how we want our locations to look-
Tumblr media
Then we moved onto promotional brands. Product placement is the promotion of branded goods and services within the context of a show or movie rather than as an explicit advertisement. Since our film takes place during Halloween and the film release date is Halloween, we decided that to choose the brands, ‘Hershey’  and ‘Oreo’. This way in the film we can have shots of the characters collecting or eating these brands brands sweets during the Halloween party scenes. The other brand we chose is ‘Mac’. This is because we have three main girl characters in our film who are going have some make up on. In the film we can have shots of the girls applying make up using Mac cosmetics. The other brand we chose is ‘Doms’. This is a stationary brand based in India. As the film takes place in a school in Mumbai, we thought having shots of the characters using Doms stationary. The last brand we chose is ‘Zara’. Since our main characters wear fashionable clothing and are well dressed. We decided to have them wear Zara clothing. This clothing brand is also popular teenagers and young adults.
Image of brands we want to work with-
Tumblr media
This year we also had to create our own branding and merchandise for the film. For our film we decided to have merchandise.  Movie merchandising – products and commodities based on a movie's theme, character, location, etc, is a tool meant to promote a film. So in our film we decided to have our own stationary items, clothing, Halloween candy and trinkets. This will help promote the film.
Image of our own branding ideas for our film-
Tumblr media
The last thing that we needed to do is Exhibition. Film exhibition refers to public screening of a film and involves the ownership, management, and running of movie theatres. Our film is going to be released in theatres so we had to think of which theatres we wanted our film to be for public screening. the first obvious option was  PVR Cinemas (Priya Village Roadshow) which is a movie theatre chain in India with its headquarter located in Gurgaon. It is one of the biggest movie theatre company in India. Having our movie release in this theatre would attract multiple movie watchers to go see our film. The second movie theatre we chose is Inox.  INOX Leisure or INOX Movies is an Indian movie theatre chain. As of March 2022, it has 161 multiplexes and 681 screens in 72 cities of the country. Therefore we thought it would be another great place to release our film. The last place we chose is Cinepolis.  It is a spacious & modern multiplex featuring many restaurants, reclining chairs & 3D screenings. It is also a bit cheaper compared to the other two. Thus, making the tickets for our film more affordable for certain people. The last thing we had to do is decide the streaming partners. which means that where the movie will be available after it is out of theatres. Before streaming platforms, people had DVD’s and watched the movies at home. Now all movies come directly on streaming platforms or after they out of theatres. Due to the pandemic a lot of films had to be released on a streaming platform instead of a theatre release and many movies did not do great in theatres as no one came to watch them (because of covid). To make more profits they had to eventually put their film on an OTT platform so that they got more views. As a team we had to think carefully about which streaming platform we wanted our film to be on after it is out of theatres. The first one we chose is ‘Netflix’.  Netflix, Inc. is an American subscription streaming service and production company. It offers a film and television series library through distribution deals as well as its own productions, known as Netflix Originals. Most people watch Netflix on a daily basis so we thought it was the best place to stream our film. The problem is that Netflix is not that popular in India as compared to other streaming platforms. Our film takes place in India and the family is Christian and lives in India. But we chose Netflix because abroad most people watch Netflix and this will help attract audiences from all around the world to see our film if it streams on Netflix. To attract the Indian audience we wanted to stream our movie on Disney+ Hotstar as most of India watches content on this platform. Therefore, they are more likely stream our film.

Chandu Champion, starring Kartik Aaryan, has a special relationship with the late Sushant Singh Rajput.
On June 14 of next year, Chandu Champion is slated to be released.
Readers may remember that Bollywood Hungama has recently been sharing the most recent information on the upcoming movie Chandu Champion starring Kartik Aaryan and Kabir Khan. Unexpectedly, it has come to light that the upcoming sports drama has ties to the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
Tumblr media
The movie is based on a concept that the late Sushant Singh Rajput was working on before his tragic passing, according to a reliable industry source. "Sushant had expressed his commitment to another sports biopic , which is now being revived in the form of Chandu Champion. Rajput had shown great interest in portraying the remarkable life of Murlikant Petkar, an army veteran and accomplished sportsperson with physical challenges", reveals the source. Continuing further the source reveals, "Now, Kartik has taken on the responsibility of portraying the inspiring character of Murlikant Petkar. In fact, Kartik is fully dedicated to the role and is working relentlessly to prepare for it. He is undergoing extensive training in various sports associated with the character to ensure authenticity and bring the story to life on the silver screen".
Murlikant Petkar had accomplished important milestones for the untrained, including winning a gold medal at both the Paralympics in Germany in 1972 and the Commonwealth Games in 1970. In 2016, the untitled project caught Sushant's eye after he was moved to tears by the narration.
The movie is scheduled to hit theatres on June 14, 2024, which is Eid.
Kartik is currently enjoying the success of his most recent movie, SatyaPrem Ki Katha, which also stars Kiara Advani and was directed by Sameer Vidwans.
