Pietà

It's done! What was born out of a little stupid idea two weeks ago has finally been finished today!

I'm a sucker for religious images, so why not use the pietà? ^^ Instead of Maria I let the future version of Viktor hold his dead past, a being he should have wanted to protect, but decided to sacrifice instead to save the world. I added Jayce quite late to the picture. Darker in the background, his back to the viewer, so we can't see his face, but we definitely see the hammer in his hand with which he killed his best friend. Ah, yes. Drama. 💖

Claggor has never struck me as the kind of guy to have a big sweet tooth, as surprising as that is. I personally believe he leans more on the savory side of things, definitely not a picky eater in any world because he's just grateful he can even eat in the first place. He's also someone who prefers to stay safe and stick to the "classics" as a form of comfort for him by trying the same kinds of foods and never truly getting tired of them. Of course, as an adult, he has become more open to trying new things (Hexless AU! Claggor, at least), and he does like a different variety of foods such as spicy, sweet, or sour, but he can't find himself too crazy about any of them. Also, yeah, he's a huge guy, but he barely eats. He has a small appetite and a slow metabolism, so he usually prefers to share his food with others like his family :((( IF YOU GUYS HAVE DIFFERENT HEADCANONS PLEASEEE TELL ME I WANT TO KNOW EVERYTHING!!!

i'm just sayin' jayce not killing viktor in the commune and peacefully joining the commune (like Vi and Jinx almost did) or kissing him instead wouldn't have been a failure.

Jayce has some unaddressed/unresolved (by the narrative) issues. We see a glimpse of it when he admits to Mel he feels like he wishes he was the one who got near-deathly injured in the blast instead of Viktor (not to mention he did make a direct attempt on his life in season 1). Mel has her own issues and is a manipulator, but she still had enough sense/enough care for Jayce to tell him he shouldn't say that about himself. Viktor mentioned when he was speaking through Salo's body that he noticed the Arcane had touched Jayce and 'his mind suffered'. Him telling Mage!Viktor that he 'will not fail' is up to interpretation, and I don't subscribe to the fan headcanon that this means he has to kill Viktor in order to create the timeline they intend.

The trouble is I don't know what Jayce would need to do, or what he would need to think and feel in order to create the desired outcome. However, I think if he approached Viktor peacefully I think they could have talked it out and come to a resolution. They could still have helped Vander and they could have fought Ambessa together.

Ok, how are we supposed to reconcile This:

The show is supposed to be a canon prequel to the game now. And game Jayce clearly still cares about Vik. Furthermore what Jayce says indicates that the game is not set before episode 6 because Viktor still was trying to maintain his humanity and will only try to get rid of it later as a result of Jayce murdering him… Yet despite seeing all those terrible things that made him want to kill Viktor in the show this Jayce still doesn't want to kill him. On the contrary, he wants to save him.

The "first encounter line" clearly shows that Jayce is not hostile or aggressive towards Viktor. He doesn't hate him. He's actually trying to do what he failed to do in episode 6 - he is trying to talk to Vik, reason with him and convince him.

"kill- Viktor" line - again Jayce is not angry or hostile, and again shows that he cares for Vik.

"Viktor? Do I have my partner back?" - Do I have to write anything? He desperately wants him back and believes it can still somehow happen.

Enemy Viktor - "Viktor may not be the man I knew but he's still worth saving" - again Jayce shows how much he cares and that despite having seen all the horrors he still does NOT want to kill Vik but save him. What he says here once again indicates that he still hopes saving Vik is still possible, and that it's worth trying. Edit: He cares so much he's like "Viktor an enemy? I WILL SAVE him even against his will and I will bring his humanity back"

How the **** am I supposed to reconcile this Jayce, Jayce who wants to save Vik, who thinks Vik is still not completely lost, and who thinks Vik is worth the effort and the risk with Jayce from episode 6 who just murders him without even talking to him???

Does that mean Jayce was really controlled by the Void? Or that he will be extremely sorry in act 3 for giving up on Vik? Anyone has any idea how can this even make sense??

Anyway seeing those interactions gave me hope. The yaoi, while still doomed, may not be as doomed as I thought. Like.... at least Jayce clearly is supposed to care, right?

Why do the Zeffo, the nightsisters of Dathomir and the Mortis gods all seem to be connected?

In Ahsoka season 1 Peridea is described as the original homeworld of nightsisters, and there we see both statues of the Mortis gods (as well as a presence that could be the Mother) and Zeffo writing on some walls. There was also a Zeffo temple/tomb on Dathomir in Jedi fallen order. Cordova mentions in Jedi survivor that the Zeffo headed deep into the unknown regions, so is it possible some of them left the galaxy and got to Peridea?
