Lil drawing of the villain for one of my game concepts called “Dead Man’s Gamble” (basic idea for the concept is that it’s a survival horror that takes place in hell’s equivalent of Las Vegas lol)
Her name is Cupiditas btw also here’s some older art of her as a bonus

Concept art from the PlayStation 2 survival horror game “Kuon” by From Software
If you played From Software’s other games, especially Sekiro, then you will recognize some of these designs. If you’re curious about Kuon, feel free to check out my latest video about it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dKiNEBDCCRw

Doodled this up over the last few hours after finishing up my latest comic page. Was just exploring ideas for how The Ivans' transformation might look like since you don't get to see them actually transform in the game itself on the Wii (Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles). Worked somewhat off of the concept art of them where they have their sleeves rolled up revealing "Spikes" that had formed along their arms that they can fire ^_^
More stuff's over in my gallery: https://www.deviantart.com/warahi/gallery

You see, there was a pretty stellar King Kong tie-in game that came along with the 2005 movie of the same name. You play most of it as a protagonist and went through a survival, horror, fps type of game interrupted by big set-pieces with King Kong himself. Then you got to control the eighth wonder of the world in a 3rd person action game akin to God of War 1 through 3.
So with that big ape and a certain lizard having a film series together, I propose a Godzilla survival type of game.
Once again, you play as a human protagonist most of the time in a big city instead of a hidden island house of horrors, and once again, it’s a survival, horror, fps type of game with tons of man-sized ugly mugs to scare the hell out of you interrupted by big set-pieces with some iconic giant monsters where you might have to escape them before they accidentally bring a building down on top of you.
Each monster is massive but with distinct designs and personalities when you get to know them. And the highlight of each encounter with your favourite beasts is getting to control them and face down your destroyers as one of their own in cinematic 3rd person action gameplay more akin to the two recent God of War titles to better show their size and power.
Now, graphically, I think the King Kong game has a lot of charm in it’s design and lighting techniques. I also really love the lighting of some older PS3 titles, the way bright, vibrant lights and colours bleeds over things like a watercolour painting is just really appealing to me. So I’d want this game to have similar charm in its lighting engine.
In the end, however the monsters are portrayed and whatever the message at end is, I’d want the ending to be somewhat uplifting

Merfolk Survival Simulator
You scavenge for resources (rocks, wood, bones) along the shoreline and sea floor. You then use those resources to maintain the kelp, oyster, and crab farms which feed you and your tribe. Your tribal land is on an undersea hill at the base of an island, just off the coast of a mainland. Your tribe will help you as you smash urchins feeding on the kelp, recover escaped crustaceans, and arrange oysters for maximized breeding potential. Your tribe also trades with other merfolk who are nomadic and use cetaceans to haul cargo up and down the mainland coast.
If you go out into the ocean, you'll find bigger fish to catch and mysterious ruins where you can learn spells, but it will be more dangerous. There are mundane threats such as sharks and giant Octopuses as well as supernatural enemies like undead drowned sailors and The Deep Ones. Also if you swim to the surface too quickly you'll take damage from the sudden pressure change.
You can also stick to the coast and trade in rare resources you find (pearls, big fish, deep ruins relics) to surface dwellers for useful equipment like spear guns and utility harnesses. The surface dwellers will offer you training for various undersea industrial jobs you can get paid for.
The surface dwellers recently had a big naval battle with each other over the local trade port so there's a lot of shipwrecks to salvage and machines that need fixing. It should also be noted that the people living on land are not all human as some of them are steampunk automatons and furries.
After earning enough money, you'll get approached by other merfolk laborers who have unionized. If you join them, you'll get support doing riskier operations in the deeps but you'll have to attend protests in the trade port harbor and fight off scab divers from the wrecks you are working.
There are two end game scenarios:
The first is that you gather the components for a magical ritual that will annihilate the surface trade port with a tsunami. This results in massive amounts of loot (and corpses) being washed out to sea for you to collect. But combat marines from the surface will attack your tribe everyday in greater numbers and with better weapons until you are dead.
The second scenario is that you join a scientific expedition lead by scientists from the surface to investigate a large, mysterious, floating object far out at sea. The object is revealed to be a partially mechanical organism capable of manipulating gravity and it starts attacking the expedition vessel. You work with the scientists to fight back in a multi-stage final boss battle against the alien organism.

Does anybody remember Blue Stinger for the Dreamcast? I've never gotten a chance to play but I've fallen in love with the thing. Blue Stinger's a 'survival horror' action adventure with dinosaur mutants, a Williams-style 'cinematic' score, and extremely corny dialog with voices from Ryan Drummond, Deem Bristow, and Lani Minella (aka Sonic Adventure Sonic, Dr. Eggman, and Rogue respectively) in what seems to be one of their first voice roles ever. From what i've gathered, it's shockingly good for an early title with the main complaints being voice acting and pacing. Favorite parts of it from what i've experienced are the soundtrack (which you should TOTALLY go listen to it's underrated to hell and back) as well as enemy design (which is also underrated as all hell and not documented at all, would love to see someone dig up some concept art for them). By the way, did i mention the game was made by Crazy Games, the creators of Illbleed? ...of course, after I finished watching a playthrough, my mind immediately thought of doing a crack crossover fic between it and Amphibia of all things. it's being worked on atm.

okay so im back to reading how to survive as a maid in a horror game (i was literally in the middle of the last book and got distracted with other shit ahah)
and i wanna talk about this part in book five:
--
"Adrian sat back in his chair, lifted his glass, and swirled it around as if it were real wine.
It gave me chills to think that a part of me would soon become a part of her. When this blood flows through your body, seeps into your heart, beats in your veins, becomes your breath.
Maybe someday I'll see the world through your eyes, and the world you see will be so much more beautiful and alive, and there will be no greater joy than to be completely you.
Adrian's fantasies kept him awake at night."
---
so quick explanation, hilda catches a cold and adrian of course thinks about the possibility of hilda dying due to this so now hes made a plan to secretly start feeding hilda his blood to prolong her life and stuff since hes a demon
anyways this part had me wondering how it feels to love someone this hard. is this even feesible in real life?? are there ppl out there who love someone this hard? ive never liked anyone like this and i doubt i ever will but im still curious about it
but outside of that i was also feeling kind of bad for adrian because of how anxious he gets about hilda, like the vibe changes so much when we read stuff from his POV, i feel like im watching someone losing their mind
