Microgreens and Vertical Farming for Food or Profit:

Vertical farming is the practice of producing food in vertically stacked layers, such as in a skyscraper, used warehouse, or shipping container. The modern ideas of vertical farming use indoor farming techniques and controlled-environment agriculture (CEA) technology, where all environmental factors can be controlled. MicroGreens are a tiny form of young edible greens produced from vegetable, herb or other plants. They range in size from one to one and a half inches long, including the stem and leaves. A microgreen has a single central stem. A Vertical Farm of MicroGreens uses pure water, conventional seeds on 100% organic coconut fiber hydroponic growing pads, as the seed bed, and natural bamboo stakes to keep the fiber off the tray bottoms resulting a true hydroponic environment with seeds-to-harvest in about a week. They sell to local restaurants, with roots attached, for about $30 (in 2016) per tray. They use about 1 cup of water per day per tray and electricity for 12-volt LED lighting for an estimated total cost of $6 (2016 prices) to grow one tray. they were called victory gardens because we were victorious in defeating a great enemy in world war 2. afterward, the united states struggled to get food back on everyone's plate because the previous economy was hyper focused on war efforts. now the troops are home very suddenly, so how are we to feed them suddenly?

it's now 2024. what are we victorious with? has a war been won? do we have a sudden increase in population? do we have to accommodate for a 180° shift in the economy?

no.

the gardens today are not victory gardens. they are the gardens that will feed us tomorrow, and into the future.

Limited Space Back Yard

Whether you live in an old neighborhood that has become crowded with people dividing their lots to put in more homes or a newly constructed neighborhood built with cookie cutter homes on postage stamp lots, you can still put in a garden within that limited space.

You could even go with a vertical garden if the yard is really, really small.

Best mindset to have while playing Eden's Garden: Just predict that everyone will die. Literally everyone. Don't get your hopes up on anyone surviving. The easiest way to avoid disappointment and heartbreak is to keep your expectations so low that there can only be wins 👍

One thing about Adam and Eve is that after eating the apple, not only they were forever cast out from the Garden of Eden but the rest of humanity was as well. Eva executed the first murder-- she bit the apple and was punished for that act of crime. Does that mean that along with her, everyone else is now barred from paradise? How will that part of the bible play a part in the game, if it will at all?
