I'm having a hard time with Nightbringer in general. I managed to get to book 5 and now I'm kind of... stuck. There are multiple ways I can try and get unstuck, but I worry if I choose wrong it will only take longer to progress.

i'm only halfway through lesson 6 myself- i think my advice at this point would be to just disregard the ratings, since as long as you get a c you clear the rhythm stage and can move on with the story. you'll miss some of the little appended side stories, but you can always come back to them later, once you have stronger cards

if you're good at the rhythm game, you can consistently get a good chunk higher than the predicted score, so as long as it estimates a c or just below a c, you should be able to pass? you can use those flower staff things to increase your strength to the right threshold should you need it

in terms of levelling your cards.... i personally just am prioritising the lucifer ur mainly, since it's got a higher base strength, and then a diavolo ssr just because it was one of the first ones i got. at this point i don't think you need to worry too much about matching the stage sin?

aside from that... depending on how many devil points you've saved, you can buy more of those staff power-ups, or the purse power0up that lets you earn more grimm to level your cards. also since it's easier to keep replenishing ap at these early stages, don't be afraid to quick clear a few times to farm some materials for devil's tree, since the stat boost can help (if you can clear some of the hard mode stages with an s, you can save some extra points there?)
