TN Candies Part 4
Part 1 / Part 2 / Part 3
As promised, a new candies post to get through the week! This time it’s much less shippy and a little more of a compilation of just some generally sweet moments between them, so I’ll forgo my disclaimers this time, but there are a few more deliberate points at the last section.
Nick’s Affection Towards Taylor
1, In the Cinemagna Interview that was shot during RWRB filming and released in August, a few days before the movie, Nick was asked about working with Taylor, and right as he started to comment on Taylor as a person (as opposed to just working with him), he smiles very sweetly
Tumblr media
2, In numerous interviews and editorials when asked to comment on working with Taylor/about Taylor, Nick often brings up “funny”, which implied they talk to each other quite a lot.
3, In the Variety podcast interview, when asked about his chemistry read with Taylor, babygirl straight up giggles a bit before saying they knew immediately they were gonna mates
4, His impression of Taylor in the GQ quiz is actually spot on: “What’s Up, I’m Taylor Zakhar Perez”, spreading his arms, loves to surf, that’s really how Taylor is: Nick really does know Taylor
5, In the recent Hits Radio interview, the question was what is something about Taylor that the public doesn’t know; Nick proceeded to praise Taylor as a person, as opposed to sharing like one of Taylor’s quirks or commenting on working with Taylor: They have a personal connection.
6, Nick tends to be a little more hyper than usual when with Taylor, as seen most prominently in the UK VS US draw-off video
Book Signing War (this isn’t even necessarily candy it’s just a fun thing that’s going on)
1, During the Vogue World event last September, Taylor originally wasn’t gonna sign anything, but saw the books and signed them anyways, quite happily so.
2, Starting from his China trip, Taylor started drawing moustaches on Henry/Nick’s face, starting with the Firstprince PR photo. I don’t think he’s ever missed a chance since lmao
3, During Milan, Nick’s first public event since Taylor started this little war, he first refers to Henry and Alex as “I” and “Taylor”, then said he’s been hearing that Taylor’s been signing on his face, which implies Taylor pops up on his social media radar. Babygirl retaliates by signing over Alex’s face (not even Taylor, it’s book Alex, he really just sees firstprince as them)
4, When the book in 3 was given to Taylor and the fan explained what Nick did, he, with a ???? (like seriously I don’t know how to describe that fucking tone) voice said “Oh he noticed”, and it totally might be a lighting/angle thing but if you look closely at that video, it might seem like he started blushing a little after the fan mentioned Nick
5, During the M&G red carpet, Nick offered to sign a fan’s firstprince card before they could ask him, and immediately went “Taylor’s face is getting signed”
SAG-PGA-Spirit Award Weekend
1, (This one was exclusively observed by the Chinese fans so kind of tin hat, take it with a pinch of salt) When asked about working with Nick on the SAG carpet, Taylor’s immediate reaction is somehow exactly the same as Alex’s after “I think we should make love tonight”: “Oh”, enlarged pupils, quick successive blinks, the first sentence that follow is said with a slight frown (you get the implication, but truthfully imo it’s just that Alex and Taylor share the same shock reaction)
2, For the Spirit Awards, Taylor worn a RED suit with a WHITE undershirt to a BLUE carpet, and WORN A FUCKING PINKIE RING
3, A bit more on the Cartier Watch from part 1: Taylor wore it to the Spirit Award, and Nick wore it to the Vanity event a few days ago. Now here’s where what I read on Weibo and what I read here are in conflict, for simplicity’s sake this time I’ll just directly translate what’s on Weibo for now :
“Oh, I’m so touched. But I saw his stylist (Jason Bolden) tagged Cartier, could this be a partnership with the brand?”
“Taylor could have chosen to just wear the necklace or wear another Cartier watch from a different series, but he worn this one which matches with Nick’s, it has to be a deliberate choice”
“Nope! All the brand for his other accessories were tagged in his(Jason Bolden’s) post, he even tagged Cartier for the necklace, but not for the watch. Cartier only reposted it in their IG story, If it’s an actual collaboration with a brank, he would deliberate pose to show off the watch like he did with LV and TAG Heur, but on the red carpet he hid his Cartier watch, the two photos are from the Vogue photographer”
Tumblr media
“Also the celebrity themselves, the brand, and the stylist, all parties would deliberately wear different pieces from the same brand, especially for relatively less pricey watches like the Cartier Tank series (the watch in question). On top of that, they know that Nick’s been wearing this watch for these past couple of months, the night of the Academy Museum Gala where Nick and Taylor stuck by each other’s side the whole night, Nick wore this Cartier watch. Also if it’s an event or partnership with the brand, Taylor wouldn’t have to hide it ”
That’s it for part 4! I think from now on I’ll try to post a candy post every Sunday night (for me). There’s a whole September timeline I need to organize (a lot happened in September but it’s very very tin hat so I’m also trying to filter through what I’m comfortable with posting and what I’m not)
Also if you sent me a candy in my inbox I read it! Thank you for it! If I haven’t posted it yet it’s because I either want to fact check some of the details or want to figure out how to respond
Tagging a couple of folks:

Hey Gina! I don’t exactly know how to talk about this so i apologise if it’s worded weird, but I wanted to talk about polari! :) Also want to quickly preface by saying A.) I am a part of the LGBTQ+ community, B.) while I’m not English, I am Scottish (Glasgow) and we use some of the same slang as (specifically Northern) England & C.) I have a lot of hetero English friends who know absolutely nothing about polari.
(Quickly before I start as u/ppl may find this annoying; I’ve said Scottish separately as a lot of Scottish ppl, myself included, don’t like being referred to as English/British as majority of us are currently wanting & trying to gain independence from the U.K. lol & I included British instead of just Scotland/England as I’m not sure if it’s used anywhere else in great britian/the UK - please say if it is! :D )
I’m not sure if you’ve seen this too but I see quite a lot of people saying that Louis solely knowing/using polari speech is proof/semi-proof of him being queer or knowing queer history - I have to completely disagree with this.
Polari is used very commonly (some examples I can think of off the top of my head are bevvy, lallies and naff as I use them quite a lot.) in day-to-day conversation in scotland/england (as I mentioned, I have hetero english friends and they use polari ALL THE TIME, like they use only refer to a alcohol/drinks as bevvy, and have no absolutely no idea that it IS in fact polari..). People use it without even knowing what it is, especially those who are lower/working class and/or neds/chavs (which Louis seems to use as? Or want to be perceived as?) and are more likely to use slang. I guarantee you that if you were to go down to England (especially the north) and asked what bevvy meant, they’d almost 100% be able to tell you what means - but they won’t know the origins of the word, they’d just think it’s slang (they probably wouldn’t even know it’s used in Scotland too LOL).
I’ve seen absolutely no other scottish/english/british person talk about this so I feel like majority of the people speaking about polari are Americans (not all & not only, of course, but I feel like they majority of larries are American? Haha) who don’t actually use it or understand it’s use in modern day England/Scotland/U.K. and that’s why they’re saying that he must be queer to use it because they think that it’s not used anymore when it actually is! :)
I’m so sorry if this is a complete jumble of words, I’m absolutely horrible at writing my thoughts down hahah! I pray you understand what I’m trying to say. I hope this isn’t coming across as rude or mean. I’m not meaning it that way at all. Also, this isn’t meant to be a dig at Americans/non-scottish/english/great British folk either, it’s completely normal that you wouldn’t know this! :)
Sorry again hahaha I’ve been thinking about this for a really long time and have been dying to get this off my chest !! + I haven’t used tumblr in years so if the layout/format(??) is weird, apologies for that too, I’m also on mobile :( Thank u (if u do) for reading my long ass ramble lol :D I just wanted to shed some light on this.
Hi, honey. I think assuming Louis’ sexuality only based on him being aware of/using Polari is pretty silly. As you say, straight people in your part of the world use certain words regularly without being aware of it.
As always, I think one has to take many behaviors and actions into consideration when wondering if Louis (or anyone) is signaling. There’s a difference between using certain words that have become common, and knowing what Polari is. Him wearing that brand goes hand in hand with many instances of him wearing clothing that sent a message (for example, wearing the All Out, Queen’s Surf, and Rainbow Apple logo shirts). At that time, he seemed to be very calculated about what messages he sent through clothing. I think Polari was one of many instances of Louis signaling being a part of the community. But I’d never look at that as an isolated instance and think that.

"Growing up on the outskirts of Waikiki, Kahanamoku spent much of his youth at the beach, where he developed his surfing and swimming skills. In his youth, Kahanamoku preferred a traditional surf board, which he called his "papa nui", constructed after the fashion of ancient Hawaiian olo boards. Made from the wood of a koa tree, it was 16 feet (4.9 m) long and weighed 114 pounds (52 kg). The board was without a skeg, which had yet to be invented. In his later surfing career, he would often use smaller boards but always preferred those made of wood."

TV has gone through a lot of changes. Its place in society was exceptionally different 20 years ago. The ad break was a fierce battleground where brands had their chosen ad agency champions compete for dominance of the mind of the household viewer. This decades-old competition brought about some of the best adverts to have ever been made. A golden age the likes of which, we'll never see again. Here is a small selection of ads forged in the most scorching cauldrons.
1. Guinness "Surfer" - 1999: Tick follows tock. The surfer waits. And when the time is right he sprints into the surf and mounts the waves which manifest as huge white horses. He returns to shore a hero. His patience rewarded. Good things come to those who wait.
2.  Volkswagen "Squeaky Earring" - 1990: What is that squeaking. Surely it couldn't be the car. Perhaps an old experienced mechanic can help? He's initially baffled and then erupts into laughter, upon realising that the squeaking is not the car but the earrings of the driver's partner. If only everything was made as well as a Volkswagen.
3. Diet Coke "Diet Coke Break" - 1995: It feels cliché or even completely outdated now but at the time, the thought of the women in the office stopping to watch a sweaty workman take off his top and drink a Diet Coke was highly amusing. Women in offices across the world were encouraged to stop at 11 AM to take a break and drink a Diet Coke.
4.  Milk "Accrington Stanley" - 1989: To encourage young people to drink more milk and more importantly for their parents to buy the milk, the UK Milk Marketing Board funded an advert featuring a young Liverpudlian saying "If I don't drink my milk, I wont be good enough to play for AcCrInGtOn StAnLey". It worked.
5. Smirnoff "Triple Distilled" - 2006: Perhaps one of the last of its kind. The rise of the internet meant that TV viewing was waning. This remains one of the best, feeling like some weird mix between a Quentin Tarantino and Christoper Nolan film. The viewer watches three versions of the same scene with each being more distilled. The final scene ends with "I love you".

Car Scratch Remover Market is gaining traction by increased DIY repair trend
The car scratch remover market comprises products that help remove scratches and swirls from car surfaces by polishing and buffing out the scratches to a shine finish without the need for painting. Scratch removers restore clear coats on cars and smooth out fine scratches and other imperfections from surfaces like paintwork, fiberglass, and chrome. They contain micro-abrasives that remove the top damaged clear coat to blend scratches with the surrounding undamaged clear coat.
The global car scratch remover market size was valued at US$ 1.9 Bn in 2023 and is expected to reach US$ 3.2 Bn by 2030, growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 7.7% from 2023 to 2030
Key Takeaways Key players operating in the car scratch remover market are 3M Company, Turtle Wax, Inc., Meguiar's, Inc., Simoniz USA, Inc., WD-40 Company, Quixx GmbH, Langka Corporation, Scholl Concepts GmbH, Würth Group, BARDAHL Manufacturing Corporation, Gtechniq Ltd., Mothers Polishes, Waxes and Cleaners, SONAX GmbH, Chemical Guys, Surf City Garage. 3M Company and Turtle Wax Inc. dominate over 40% of the global market share. The growing Car Scratch Remover Market Size for hassle-free and affordable DIY solutions for car repair and maintenance is contributing to the increasing demand for car scratch removers. People are adopting do-it-yourself methods for minor car scratches and swirl marks rather than visiting service stations or body shops. Leading car scratch remover brands are expanding their geographical footprint by strengthening their distribution channels in developing economies across Asia Pacific and Latin America. The availability of affordable product options is encouraging new customers in these regions to choose car scratch removers for basic car care tasks. Market key trends Water-based car scratch removers are gaining more traction compared to solvent-based variants due to their ease of use and minimal damage to vehicle surfaces. They contain gentle abrasives and polymers that cut through scratches efficiently without risking paint damage. The Car Scratch Remover Market Size and Trends towards eco-friendly formulations is prompting major companies to introduce bio-based and plant-derived components in their scratch removal products.
Porter's Analysis Threat of new entrants: Low, as substantial capital investments are required to build production facilities and distribution networks. Established players also enjoy brand loyalty and economies of scale. Bargaining power of buyers: Moderate, as buyers have few substitutions available and switching costs are low. However, established brands dominate the market. Bargaining power of suppliers: Low to moderate, as raw materials required are commonly available and suppliers are fragmented. Threat of new substitutes: Moderate, as other DIY paint protection and detailing products can be used for minor car scratches. Competitive rivalry: High, as the market is dominated by global brands that compete intensely on pricing, innovation, quality and marketing. Geographical regions North America holds the largest share of the car scratch remover market, valued at around US$ 1.2 Bn in 2024 owing to high vehicle usage and density. Asia Pacific is expected to witness the fastest growth during the forecast period with a CAGR of over 9% due to rising vehicle ownership in India and China coupled with increasing consumer spending on car care and maintenance products. Europe is another major geographical region generating over 30% revenue of the global market led by vehicle intensive countries like Germany, UK and Italy. Increased disposable incomes have boosted demand for car appearance protection and repair products. Japan also offers scope for sales as scratch removers are necessary for the country's affluent vehicle owner base.

Streetwear T-Shirts for Men: The Ultimate Expression of Style and Culture
Streetwear has become a global phenomenon, evolving from its underground roots to a mainstream fashion staple. Central to this movement are Streetwear T Shirts for Men, which serve as canvases for bold graphics, cultural statements, and individual expression. This article delves into the allure of streetwear T-shirts, exploring their origins, iconic brands, and how to style them for a contemporary look.
Origins of Streetwear T-Shirts
Streetwear T-shirts originated in the 1980s, influenced by the skateboarding and hip-hop cultures of the time. Brands like Stüssy and Supreme pioneered the movement, using T-shirts as a medium to express the rebellious and nonconformist attitudes of these subcultures. Graphic T-shirts, often featuring bold logos, provocative imagery, and cultural references, became a hallmark of streetwear.
Iconic Streetwear T-Shirt Brands
Several brands have become synonymous with streetwear T-shirts, each bringing its unique flair and influence to the fashion world.
Supreme: Founded in 1994, Supreme has become a cultural icon. Known for its limited-edition drops and collaborations with artists and high-end brands, Supreme T-shirts are highly sought after. The brand's box logo tee is particularly famous, often reselling for several times its original price.
Stüssy: One of the original streetwear brands, Stüssy T-shirts feature the brand's signature scrawl logo and often incorporate elements of surf and skate culture. Stüssy has maintained its relevance over the decades through continuous innovation and collaborations.
A Bathing Ape (BAPE): Founded in Japan, BAPE is renowned for its distinctive camo patterns and ape head logo. BAPE T-shirts are known for their bold designs and high-quality materials, making them a favorite among streetwear enthusiasts.
Off-White: Created by Virgil Abloh, Off-White blends streetwear with high fashion. Off-White T-shirts often feature the brand's signature diagonal stripes and quotation marks, symbolizing a deconstructed approach to fashion.
Palace: A UK-based brand, Palace is known for its skate-inspired aesthetic. Palace T-shirts often feature playful graphics and retro influences, appealing to a younger, fashion-forward audience.
The Cultural Impact of Streetwear T-Shirts
Streetwear T-shirts are more than just clothing; they are cultural artifacts that reflect the values and trends of their time. They often serve as a platform for social commentary, political statements, and artistic expression. Collaborations between streetwear brands and artists or musicians further enhance this cultural impact, creating T-shirts that resonate with diverse audiences.
Styling Streetwear T-Shirts
Casual Cool: Pair a graphic streetwear T-shirt with distressed jeans and a pair of classic sneakers. This look is perfect for everyday wear and embodies the laid-back attitude of streetwear culture. Add a baseball cap or a beanie to complete the ensemble.
Layered Look: For a more fashion-forward approach, layer your streetwear T-shirt under an open flannel shirt or a denim jacket. This adds depth to your outfit and allows you to play with different textures and colors. Finish the look with cargo pants and high-top sneakers.
Smart-Casual: Elevate your streetwear T-shirt by pairing it with tailored trousers and a sleek bomber jacket. This mix of casual and formal elements creates a modern, stylish look that works for a night out or a casual office setting. Opt for minimalist sneakers or loafers to keep the focus on the T-shirt.
Statement Piece: Make your streetwear T-shirt the focal point of your outfit by choosing one with a bold graphic or a unique design. Keep the rest of your outfit simple with neutral tones and clean lines. This approach ensures that your T-shirt stands out and makes a statement.
The Future of Streetwear T-Shirts
As streetwear continues to evolve, T-shirts remain a cornerstone of the movement. Sustainability is becoming increasingly important, with brands exploring eco-friendly materials and ethical manufacturing practices. Additionally, streetwear is becoming more inclusive, embracing diverse designs and representations.

Streetwear Oversized Shirts for Men are a powerful blend of style, culture, and self-expression. From their origins in skate and hip-hop culture to their current status as fashion essentials, these T-shirts tell a story of evolution and innovation. Whether you’re a seasoned streetwear aficionado or new to the scene, streetwear T-shirts offer a versatile and impactful way to express your individuality and stay ahead of the fashion curve.

I don't think I have met them yet!
What is something that turned out for the best recently?
My friend invited me last minute to see Renee Rapp in London. I technically was busy but could have rearranged things if I really wanted. I said that 2024 was the year where I wanted to see more artists live but I am glad I didn't go because:
The tickets were standing and I'm not about that rock n roll life, much prefer seated tickets, that way I'm not packed into a crowd like a sardine. I watched a live stream of the concert and I joined at a moment where there was a break, for the concert employees to give out water to the crowd because it was so hot in the venue. Just from the concert stream I was feeling claustrophobic! (Maybe 2024 will be about learning about myself better and being okay with it!)
It is an hours journey into London and the venue was North London so essentially it adds an extra 30 mins to the journey time. Living at home means my sociable hours are limited to during daylight but as soon as it is night, I am indoors. Ofc when I move out I will go to any event at any time mostly because I won't have the stress of getting back at a certain time and feel guilty if I am keeping anyone up. And ofc there will be plenty of opportunities later in the year to see artists live, this won't be the last time :)
