seriously wondering why WW1 was never brought up at all throughout the show in regards to edwin and the life he was living before hell. I mean fuck we get a WW1 ghost in the FIRST EPISODE but edwin doesn’t say a single thing about his familiarity with the soldier’s garments and circumstances. you’d think that would come in handy in some way, or at least be an interesting thing to reference to emphasize edwin’s age (for lack of a better word) considering this was all during the expository section of the first episode.

1916 is directly in the middle of the Great War, and depending on how long edwin had been 16 by the time he died, he would’ve been somewhere between 1-2 years off from being conscripted and sent off to the trenches– ie; really not far, so it inevitably would be a huge weight on his mind at the time. since it was the middle of the war, he would’ve known decently well the horrors being faced out there– the mustard gas, the widespread illness, the shellshock– from newspapers and such, and I have to think that he’d feel like there was a clock ticking, counting down the days until he’d be sent to his inevitable death (considering he’s not the most athletic and physically resilient boy to say the least). and if he was exempted from conscription? it could very well be for “mental illness” and/or “moral indecency” if he didn’t hide his “effeminate” behavior well enough. all-around, it’d have to be an incredibly stressful time period for more reasons than just being bullied, alienated, and repressed at school– and yet we never hear about the elephant in the room. will they do something with it later? will it play into his family background in some way? for gods sake I need to KNOW

I'd like to think all Addisons are pushed out the factory like a blank slate in terms of identity and pick up whatever they feel like along the way, which may be nothing, a lot of one side, everything inbetween, etc!!!!!! so many variations!!! As long as theyre selling products and raking it in, they could honestly care less what someone decides to be. I feel like for Spam's case he's defo chosen to be masculine because he likes the way he feels about himself that way, but im certain hes not one to shy away from some slightly more feminine things when hes feeling particularly more confident about himself (..not super often this guy is fucked up in so many ways),, makeup in particular he's fond of since hes so used to being slathered in it for ad shoots and whatnot from the BS era (cough because it also makes him look younger than he is, guy is aging </3) I am sure of one thing though, theres definitely something queer about this man, he's some flavor of faggot thats fs, i mean, look at what he's wearing. The Watcher drama is fascinating.

I casually like their stuff. I've fallen behind on it, and feel no urgency to catch up, so I don't feel like I'll miss out by not subscribing; I can clearly live without.

And I don't think indie creators wanting their own platform is a bad thing, which ofc will need money to run. Depending on algorithms and pleasing sponsors is shitty. I truly do get that.

But their extremely corporate video really focused in on how much they need money, and boy, they really do not know their audience. It's so tone-deaf, it's honestly impressive. Saying production is too expensive when the channel has a series all about eating expensive foods is insane. No one wants more streaming services. The economy is so bad, plenty of people really cannot afford that price (international fans especially) contrary to what the video says. Their audience skews young, too, which means spending 6$ for only a couple episodes per month probably sounds unthinkable to a lot of them who can afford it, period, even if it is indie (I'm sure some think the pricing is all the more unreasonable because it IS indie.) I'm old enough that 6$ for a couple episodes I don't physically own is too much and only the indie label could change my mind--if this was framed entirely as a creative freedom decision and not about budget lol. There's just so many reasons this reads as a Bad Business Move.

But they had a countdown to this for Big News! They must have thought people would be excited! I'm just so curious to see what their response is and whether or not this risky move pans out for them.

(Cessair is apparently an Irish name meaning “sorrow” or “affliction”, so part of me is tempted to call her Thirteenth counterpart Tristezza, which means “sorrow” in Italian. But I’m not sure if I will go that far yet; my focus is moreso on Cessair herself. I have quite inexplicably gotten attached to her despite this encyclopaedia entry and Cait Sith’s dialogue during the Shadows of Mhach quests being just about the only information to exist regarding her. When Lorenza enters the Source in the main story, it is the third time she has done so. Appearing to Cessair in the Fifth Astral Era was the second! The first was to the Allagans.

How do I know Cessair had counterpart shards, you might ask? Because you can see her unsundered self in the game as well - next to Cait Sith, at that!)
