Player of The Season

This was an amazing season with some amazing gameplay and we’d like to reward it.

Obviously a huge shoutout to our winner Jessica, who if she hadn’t won would most likely have been our player of the season, but we’d like to award some other people as well.

Without further ado our runner up for player of the season is......

Raffy came into the season in a very bad position. He was on a tribe with people who wanted him gone from the beginning and seemed to have very little room to play. Through a strong mix of luck and strategy he was able to pull through time and time again. At merge he was a big contender to be eliminated for the first two votes and managed to start playing under the radar and became a key swing vote for the votes that would follow. His gameplay took him all the way to 6th, a position much higher than this host thought he would get. He went from someone Jordan Pines assumed would be a boring pre-merge boot to someone who almost made it all the way to the end as a legitimate contender to win.

And now we are proud to present our winner for player of the season...

Drew played a very impressive game from a host perspective. Surviving his entire starting tribe of 10 people being eliminated pre-merge he went into merge with very few secure allies. However through a strong social game and good use of his 2 idols he found, he was able to find room to grow strategically in the game. Despite losing allies and occasionally being on the wrong side of the vote, Drew was able to maintain a strong strategic presence in the game and used his connections he made to further him along. After an impressive win in the fire making challenge against Ruthie, Drew was able to secure himself into the final 3 and while the jury did not deem him the winner of the season, we think its only fair that he is awarded Player of the Season for the game he played to get himself here.

#CBCNextUp Social Media Challenge #1

Hey everyone as part of #CBCNextUp we have a few social media challenges to do, and today's is to write a joke about our commute and share it on our social media.

I don't know if anyone's been driving down the Allen Road lately, but they have these constant advertisements hanging on it for drivers saying "If you are reading this, you would have already been at work by now. Take the TTC" Now, I don't know about you, but I do take the TTC and my FAVOURITE part of my morning is sitting between Lawrence West and Glencairn. Stopped. FOR THE THIRD DELAY OF THE MORNING!!!!!!! seeing these ads out my window thinking if I'm fucking reading this, you should fix your goddamn subways!!!!!!!!

Ryan’s Jury Speech

Congratulation to the three loves of my life for making it to Final Tribal Council. Jessica for beasting her way to the end of the game and playing like a fucking badass all the way. Drew for being someone to never give up and fight his way to the end as well. And Katie for somehow still being listed as host in this game.

Before I get to my statement/question I just want to give a big shoutout to Jordan Pines. There were so many times when people tried to belittle him and put him down for this season and that’s just so fucking obnoxious and little of them. This was a phenomenal season and as the community grandpa I can assure everyone this was a top tier season for the community. Whether you love Jordan Pines, love to hate Jordan Pines, or you’re just a Tumblr Survivor Icon....don’t be an asshole.

If you have ever experienced me at a recent FTC as a juror you should know what I’m going to ask. A while ago I made a post about this community where I basically asked people to take a look at themselves and decide whether or not playing orgs and being here made them happy. There was a really dark time in this community where people were extremely rude, emotionally manipulated people, and were just downright terrible. And for that time those people were idolized and seen as the cream of the crop, which is so damaging.

It’s my belief that orgs should be fun. Yes, we take them seriously and compete and may even fight at times but it’s for the overall experience that we should enjoy. I want to make sure that the people in this community that we idolize are people who share positivity, healthy behaviors, and an overall great outlook on this community.

So with that all said I want to know from each of you what part of this game was the most fun for you? If you had to take a snapshot to put in your Instagram story that would stay there forever, what would it be and why?

the time we played in machu picchu together for like a week and then he got blindsided

the time i was going to get voted out in hvv2 but i got to blindside him instead

the time he wanted to flip with bridget to save me in b2b all stars but decided against it so i went and go told on him and got him blindsided

the time riley peters told him that he wanted to be the next jordan pines in uncharted isles and then got to blindside him by revealing that it was me the whole time
