“Hello again, my friend! I am glad to see that you have made it!” Kagetsu waves to Eliwood as the battle begins again, grabbing his sword with his free hand.
He’s a little disappointed they had to part ways with Rosado, but he’s probably fine. He picked up that parasol from Ares! He’s probably having a great time with that thing and nothing is going wrong.
Strange that their opponents don’t have a third teammate. That doesn’t really seem fair. How are they supposed to showcase their true skill if they’re outnumbered?!
…Unless… they are so strong that they don’t even need a third teammate! Then this is perfect!
He holds his sword up towards the woman in front of him, a warning before he starts to swing. With their smaller numbers, it’s the least he can do. “Hello! I am going to attack you now! Prepare yourself!”
Kagetsu [6/6 HP] Attacks Ninian [6/6 HP] with Iron Sword! [Roll: 1d20 -> 17] Hit! -1 HP (Ninian HP: 5/6)

This might be blasphemous to say but honestly I kinda view Lyn, Eliwood, and Hector as a trio in a similar way that I view the Nohrian royal siblings, i.e. “wow I love you all so so much I wish so badly you were in a better story”

Emblem Lucina now down, Kagetsu turns to watch Rosado’s portion of the fight. Rosado swings, yet the enemy still stands. But the way he’s standing...
“An opening!” Not one accessible from his position, and likely not one Rosado can recover fast enough to take advantage of, but an opening all the same.
Thinking as quickly as he’s able, he grabs Rosado to pull him aside, opening a space for their teammate to take advantage of what they can’t. “Eliwood! Quickly, now!”
Golden Deer Team rotated to the left.
Next: @pheraed !

nietzsche? nietzsche to shut the hell up
the Abyss - Pitch black as ever. If only you had some light…
@ninocence @pheraean
Like a sudden chill flickering out a flame, in an instant, it was night. Not even do the stars above offer any hospitality, for they don’t seem to shine as bright. Pale comparisons to the true and only refuge in this endless blackness; bioluminescent blooms, that some of their lot had even fashioned into crowns. There was little to do between poor visibility and incoming storms than fortify their shelter. But curiously, Ephidel took the short walk to the steep drop off between building.
Not even in brightest day did the sun illuminate much of this abyss, but her reach could only go so far. But his-
Ephidel knelt by the abyss’s edge and removed his crown, dipping it just below the surface and bringing light back to the depths.
What was beyond this chasm?

Her fingers fiddle with her bracelet that she keeps by her lap and out of sight as she offers him a slight uneasy smile. It wasn’t him that made her nervous, even in the strangest of circumstances, but what they were gathered here today to do. She almost let on that she knew him from elsewhere ( the future ) and she couldn’t bring herself to confess that she had also been courting him. ( Saints knew how her father took that news… )
Of course she didn’t want to deny his father from making a gift, but the thing was… the original conversation seemed to be lost in translation and while she hadn’t meant for it to come to this, there was nothing she could do to stop it either. As she recalled:
“Lord Eliwood. Surely you have more knowledge than I have in a man’s preferences, could you assist me with something?”
And now they were at the table filled with florals, twine, and pliers. Perhaps this was to her advantage after all, she could glean an eye for what she might gift to Roy, separately. And she was sure her father would appreciate a gift as well.
“Alright, well, let us not waste any more time, shall we?” Lilina pulls forth a book she rented from the library describing all about different types of flowers and their meanings. “I… may have an idea of what he may like, but we can use this as a guide to make it extra special.”
✶ — › 𝐅𝐋𝐎𝐖𝐄𝐑𝐒 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐒𝐏𝐄𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐋 𝐎𝐍𝐄 ‹ — ✶
"i have to say, I'm relieved that you agreed to join me today," being so new to this monastery left him rather anxious to exploring it's halls alone. surely he could ask hector, or even lyndis to join him, but they both seemed to have found a comfortable clique here. he was no stranger to playing catch up, though, and it only gave him a chance to meet new friends as well. it was not lost on him the rarity of being able to meet someone such as lilina, the future daughter of his most dear friend. perhaps these things were commonplace here, but he could scarcely imagine something like this before arriving at fodlan. if he hadn't met his own son mere days ago, eliwood might have been ever more skeptical of her claims.
he turned to his company for the day and continued, "i'll be relying on you to help me make a fine gift for roy today." this was something of an agreement between the two, that today they would assist each other in making the perfect gift. alone he could never make something that his son would enjoy, why, he hardly knew anything about him. in exchange, however, he offered to give his expert opinion on what exactly hector would like to see. a grin found itself on his features... much like himself, eliwood imagined hector would melt at anything lilina thought to gift him. it was incredibly endearing, however, to see just how much she wanted her father to be happy. Hector must be an amazing father in this future of theirs... "I haven't forgotten my promise, either," the lord let out a chuckle as he motioned her forward, "i'll help you make the perfect arrangement, lilina!"

just me thinkin abt how alfred is canonically part of this scene
none of the other royals, just alfred
just him and the siblings
and one sibling’s mother
and as someone who s supported that boy before this scene
he just rly do fit here look he’s part of the family and he’s here to mourn his mother in law alongside his sister in law ;o;
admittedly i am a bit sad that they didn’t give extra dialogue in this scene for players who s supported him before this chapter

If the leaks are to be believed fe4 will be getting a remake next. But if we do get a Fe7+6 remake the only thing I want is more Ninian. Also give Nils supports I think they would be so fucking funny.

@pheraefire asked:
Sparkling Water: Fresh spring water that has been magically carbonated. Served with a squeeze of lime or a dash of one of the many fruit syrups available at the bartender’s disposal.
"lyndis," a call of her name and some swift foot work to squeeze past the other participants is enough to have her attention. "an odd situation, wouldn't you say? i suppose we should be thankful that we aren't in any immediate danger, though..." he took a moment to contemplate his new 12 inch stature before reminding himself of why he'd called to her. "oh, right-  i'm sure it's probably hard to relax as things are now, so i brought you some refreshments to ease your mind!" eliwood offered her the shining glass filled with a carbonated substance, a smile on his face. "i wasn't sure what kind of flavor you'd want, but i hope this one is to your liking."
The appearance of the redheaded lord is enough to ease the tension off Lyn’s face. The crease between her brows is replaced by a smile and she greets her old friend, “Eliwood!”
He picks his way through the crowd with grace and poise she could only dream of matching, all while carrying a drink in hand. Not a single drop spills, even as he sidesteps people. That’s what years of practice navigating banquets will do, she supposes.
“I’ll say! This is the first time I’ve seen people at eye level in weeks. I was beginning to fear that my only friends from now on would be mice.”
She accepts the proffered drink gratefully, drink passing from one hand to another, and takes a sip. It bubbles like champagne, but without the bite of alcohol, and the subtlest taste of fruit without being too sweet.
“Thank you, I hadn’t realized how thirsty I was.” Relief and cool water wetting her parched throat allows a heavy sigh to escape Lyn’s lips. “Ahhh... I just don’t know how you manage these things, Eliwood. I think I may just not be cut out for these kinds of things, after all. I haven’t even been here that long and I’m already ready to leave.”
Not that leaving seems to be possible, at the moment.
“How about you? Are you faring alright?”

"Thank you for volunteering, Eliwood!" Laslow replies. "And please, just Laslow is fine." The double meaning is lost on him--still sluggish brain now focused on teaching properly and avoiding making any other silly mistakes.
Biting back a yawn, Laslow settles into a sparring stance, practice sword held aloft. Wrath Strike, he notes, sidestepping the attack with only a small stumble.
"Good! You've got a strong swing, Eliwood. A fellow duelist, I see." Laslow turns, facing the class at large. "Alright! When fighting, you have seconds to decide whether to block or dodge an attack. Eliwood's momentum carried him a bit too far forward, which would have thrown me off balance had I blocked."
Quickly, he flicks his wrist, sword point aimed at Eliwood's exposed back. "And now I have the advantage. Sword fighting is more than slashing at the other guy. It's an art; even in the thick of battle, always think one step ahead of your opponent."
He looks back at his student. "How would you defend yourself in a position like this?"

HONEY! THE MINIONS CAN EXPLODE?! — team 11, iron round
MIDORI’S SMILE WAVERED at the sudden pulsing between her eyes.  she did not stumble, though the ground moved beneath her feet.  her eyes closed, her grip on the heavy staff tightened, then loosened; when she attempted another grip, her fingers closed around air.  midori opened her eyes and choked back a gasp.  whether of amazement or fear, she could not spend time identifying the feeling when there were massive hunks of metal in front of her.  like... massive massive!  and there were multiple of them—   four, to be exact.  but the one in the back, behind some flickering veil that seemed cast around it, looked like the baddest guy there.
fists clenched, midori swallowed and whispered,   “   holy sweet cakes, what is that?   ”   then, surprise colored her face in a faint flush.  midori looked down at her hands, finally aware of the lack of weight from the staff.  instead, there was a shield clipped tight by a band around her forearm.  that was... all, really.  despite the oddness of it all, midori couldn’t argue since she adored how the ochain shield flashed a glow of light within its gems every time she shook it!
ochain shield! heals midori for 1hp!   (   midori hp = 10 / 10   )
a groan of metal sounded in front of them and midori turned towards her team, smiling bright and hopeful,   “   i’ll go first!  watch my back, friends.   ”   she was sure that, even if something went wrong, her teammates would be there to cover her mistake.  so, determined and bright-eyed, midori turned back towards the beasts of metal and raised her hands.  the weight of the shield made it a slight struggle but it was nothing that she couldn’t handle—   nothing would compare to the travel case she carried daily!
midori! rolls d20 = 7! ‘seraphim’ critically hits, 4 damage!   (   radio scout: bulwark a hp = 6 / 10   )
the incantation fell from her lips in an easy roll of enunciation.  at the call, light burst from midori’s hands and enveloped in an explosion around the closest scout beast.  if she looked close enough, peered through the brightness of the spell, then she would guess that there had been a flicker of feathers from the blast.  angel wings, midori thought, then ignored it at the sound of the scout’s metal whirring and churning.
black ice node! rolls d3 = 1! ‘radio scout: bulwark a has been deactivated!
suddenly, there was silence.  midori blinked wildly; once at the beast, twice at her hands, before whirling around to face her team.  her fists flickered with a faint glow but she paid little mind to them as she shook her hands excitedly.   “   did you guys see that!?  i think it stopped working.   ”   a glance was thrown back to the other two scouts.   “   we might have to do the same to those two, right?   ”

Ridley and Eliwood Supports
C Support
Ridley: Eliwood, after this battle, can I speak with you about something?
Eliwood: Of course, is it important?
Ridley: It’s just been a while since we were able speak on battle formations and about who should be in the front lines. I just wish to go over it with you.
Eliwood: I see. I’ll gather Hector and Lyn to go over this with.
Ridley: Thank you, Eliwood. I will look forward to it.
B Support
Eliwood: Ridley, is everything going as planned?
Ridley: Huh? Oh yes, that talk really helped me out. I have a better idea of what’s going on now. Thank you.
Eliwood: I should be thank you. Because of you, our army has been able to win all these battles, mostly unharmed.
Ridley: I’m just doing my job.
Eliwood: Haha. Say, Ridley, would you be interested in returning to Pherae with me?
Ridley: What? Why?
Eliwood: If you would, you’d be a wonderful advisor.
Ridley:... I’ll think about it.
A Support
Ridley: I have my answer.
Eliwood: Woah, don’t sneak up on me like that. Your answer?
Ridley: About the question you asked last time we spoke alone.
Eliwood: Oh that! Well, what do you say? Will you become an advisor?
Ridley: No
Eliwood: No?
Ridley: I have nothing against you or Pharae, but thinking about my future, I don't see myself sticking around. I,, will probably return to my homeland and help rebuild. I can't turn my back on them.
Eliwood: I see…
Ridley: I'm sorry. I knew that was my answer from the start, but I didn't have the heart to tell you right away.
Eliwood: Don't be. I understand. It was a selfish thing to ask of you; you've already done so much. After this is all over, can we at least have one last meal together before you go? I'm sure Mother would love to meet you.
Ridley: I'm sure we can do that. I would love to meet your mother too, Eliwood

Just beat Fire Emblem Blazing Blade kinda Deathless (after only playing FEH and Fates before)
LOBSTER LORD IS OUT GREAT LORD IS IN HECTOR MY MAN MY GUY MY MVP
Like 40 people worked on this game. Most things were made by 2 people max. The translator list is longer than any of the other categories. Wth
Main Trio, your honor I love them. It is VERY rare for me to care about main characters of a game but these guys man
Which is also very evil because I know this game is a prequel to Blazing Blade and looking at the versions of Hector I have in FEH I‘m like 95% sure this man kicked the bucket. Rip King
Given that the amount of main character dads I’ve seen survive till the end so far is a total of zero, and looking at the versions of Elliwood I have in FEH I‘m like 60% sure he’s also gonna kick the bucket. Rip King
Elliwood Hector Support B is the funniest thing in this entire game. Support A is the most evil thing in this entire game if those 95% are right ;-;
Meanwhile Lyn casually quit her job dumped it on Hector and went back to live in the plains. Good for her tbh, Long Live the Queen
I do love how Lyn and Hector went from not liking each other to being basically gremlins around each other. Character development lol
The support system is kinda whack ngl, it takes 80 points per level and even the closest characters only grow 3 each turn. I did most chapters in around 10-15 rounds, had to grind for 70 turns in a chapter just to get any supports
Eliwood‘s other stats might suck but at least his rizz is maxed out it seems
The romance really ain’t hitting it if you already got that A support bromance and B support to complete the Main Gang Trio
Hey Rebecca doesn’t look like she wants to devour my soul anymore! Nice
Where did the horse come from. Whose horse did the Heaven Seal steal. Is the horse magic. What
Something about noted redhead Eliwood‘s ancestor having Marth-blue hair just feels very very wrong
I don’t even go here but. Old men Yaoi. Perhaps Ancient men yaoi, even
Whenever a character tells you that you should let them talk to someone and maybe they’ll stop to fight, it works. Since the beginning of the game, and even with characters who wanted to see you dead chapters before. And then it doesn’t.
I had to load a save state because Nino died that very same move.
Ouch. Very good scene for character showing. But ouch.
When you defeat the final chapter main enemies they gain color back and smile before closing their eyes and despawning. Stoooop T-T
I didn’t take Nino into that battle because wow she’s underleveled but. I bet there would’ve been extra dialogue if she kills a certain 2 guys. Or there should’ve been if there isn’t.
How those particular enemies were made + the permanent death mechanic = some PRIME source for angst. Bonus points if it’s one of the characters who get special reactions from other folks when they die, like Rath or Markus
Are we sure FEH Rebecca isn’t actually a Morph of the original person out for Summoner‘s quintessence. It would explain her eyes
You can’t just give pirate guy a quiet scene promising his captain to come back save only to then say in the after credits he probably died protecting him and no way to get the body. What the heck Intelligent systems
They’re OLD oh wow that color looks really bad on Eliwood. I can see why they slapped Roy’s palette on him. Though now it kinda reads like Eliwood‘s got his main character rights revoked lmao
BABY ROY. PRECIOUS BEAN GOT EVEN PRECIOUSER
SCREW YOU ZEPHIEL HECTOR KILLED LIKE 15 PEOPLE TO SAVE YOUR SORRY BUTT AND THIS IS (with a 95% likelihood) THE THANKS ;-;
Hector ily but I am NOT replaying 17 chapters that I all already played with you just because chapter 11 is apparently unique
And once again the titular item is barely present for a single chapter or two in this entire game only to justify said title lmao
Why does this thing keep changing locations anyways. And it’s always near the places where apocalypses involving dragons happen. Y’all maybe the Fire Emblem is cursed
Tldr good game very fun
