I'm thinking about Supersteel where Clark would make uncessary detours during his walk to the Daily Planet just so he can chat with John Henry Irons, this meetings happen before JH Irons became Steel.

Idk know why Clark would do this. Maybe, he sense that JH has inner turmoil and perhaps a pair of listening ear who could help him!
