2020 Mock Draft (Pre-combine)
l
Alas, it is finally here. Draft season has officially kicked into full gear, and that means it’s time for yet another installment of a mock draft that will undoubtedly be ridiculously wrong come April. With that being said, I sincerely hope you enjoy!
1. Cincinnati Bengals - Joe Burrow, QB, LSU
The Bengals are widely regarded as one of the most incompetent front offices in all of sports, and nothing that they can do with this pick would shock me. With that being said, it is with almost 100% certainty that Joe Burrow will be a Bengal. Sharpie it in.
2. Washington Redskins - Chase Young, EDGE, Ohio State
Another pick that is almost entirely locked in. Young is one of the best defensive prospects to come out in recent memory. His blend of athleticism, raw power, and moxie is a match made in heaven for new head coach Ron Rivera. Young is a transcendent type talent with true superstar potential, and should be snatched up within seconds assuming they don’t trade down.
*TRADE*
3. Miami Dolphins - Tua Tagovailoa, QB, Alabama
This should come as a surprise to no one. A team with a trajectory pointing directly upwards and a bevy of picks at their disposal, the Dolphins trade up to assure they land their franchise QB. Tua is a polarizing prospect, coming off an historically great career which saw him cement his legacy as early as his Freshman year. He is deadly accurate with a knack for creating plays outside the structure. His riddling injury concerns are valid, but should the medicals come back clear, there is not a better player in the class in my eyes.
4. New York Giants - Jedrick Wills, OT, Alabama
Back to back Bama players here, as new coach Joe Judge establishes a trend from his first pick as the new coach. Build. The. Trenches. Wills is a highly athletic tackle with the ability to play in space; not to mention he is far and away the most pro ready run blocker at his position group as well. The Giants have a tendency to be unpredictable come draft time, but I can’t see them ignoring the glaring holes on their offensive line for another off-season.
*TRADE*
5. Detroit Lions - Jeffrey Okudah, CB, Ohio State
Win-win for the Lions here as they collect additional picks and the best corner prospect to come out since Jalen Ramsey.
6. Los Angeles Chargers - Justin Herbert, QB, Oregon
The writing is on the wall here. Philip Rivers and the Chargers have decided to mutually part ways after a disappointing season for both parties. Insert Justin Herbert. The live armed QB is the NFL prototype of what one should look like. Tall, athletic, big arm, smart. Herbert is not going to be for everyone, but with the Chargers’ throw heavy offense, he should develop nicely for them and give them (somewhat) a sense of continuity.
7. Carolina Panthers - Derrick Brown, DT, Auburn
Admittedly, this is a bit of a mystery pick for me. The Panthers have been non-committal to whether or not they view Cam Newton as their QB of the future, meaning a possible huge void will be created if they indeed let him walk. Assuming the draft shakes out with the top three QB’s going in the first six picks, the Panthers are left in a BPA position. Brown is the type of mauler up front the Panthers desperately lacked last year, fielding one of the league’s worst run defenses. He is a plug and play type player who should see the field and contribute immediately.
8. Arizona Cardinals - Ceedee Lamb, WR, Oklahoma
Do the Cardinals have more pressing needs than a wide receiver? Yes, absolutely. But in the case of Lamb, he has all the ability and potential to be a true WR1 in the league. His familiarity with the Cardinals’ scheme and QB Kyler Murray is simply too irresistible to pass on for Kingsbury and Keim.
9. Jacksonville Jaguars - Isaiah Simmons, LB, Clemson
A once strong and dependent LB corps quickly saw a rapid decline after the sudden retirement of Telvin Smith last off-season. The Jags recently retained both Doug Marrone and DC Todd Wash, and with their recent track record of picking the best available defensive player, it’s hard to assume they’d pass on a player of Simmons’ caliber. A true chess piece, seeing snaps at seemingly every position on the field last season, Simmons’ versatility should be coveted given the direction the NFL is heading towards.
10. Cleveland Browns - Tristan Wirfs, OT, Iowa
New head coach Kevin Stefanski should be foaming at the mouth if Wirfs is still on the board. The recently hired Stefanski is well known for his wide zone run scheme featuring heavy dosages of play action. Insert Wirfs. A freakish athlete for his size who is only scratching the surface of what he can become. Wirfs’ natural agility and raw strength is exactly what the Browns need to upgrade their dire situation at offensive tackle.
11. New York Jets - Andrew Thomas, OT, Georgia
It’s simple, the Jets need to draft offensive line to protect their young QB. The Jets are in need of a serious makeover on the offensive line, and while Rome wasn’t built in a day, Thomas, a 3 year starter at Georgia, is the perfect benchmark towards repairing a withered offensive line.
12. Las Vegas Raiders - Jerry Jeudy, WR, Alabama
This screams Raiders to me. The Raiders have plenty needs, but a true WR1 is something this offense has been lacking since...well...Amari Cooper. But nonetheless, Mayock has shown a tendency to draft players from big time schools. Jeudy fits the billing, as he is the most gifted route running prospect we’ve seen in a long time, and a guy Gruden will undoubtedly be pounding the table for.
13 - Indianapolis Colts - Jordan Love, QB, Utah State
The term “polarizing prospect” is thrown around loosely each and every draft season, but there is truly no other way to describe Jordan Love. The Utah State product saw his stock rise after a very a productive 2018 season, only to be minimized by a drastically underwhelming 2019 campaign. Love’s supporting cast is, in my mind, one of the worst in recent memory in regards to QB prospects. No other prospect’s career trajectory is more team dependent than Love, and the Colts are the perfect fit. Love can sit a year behind Jacoby Brissett in Frank Reich’s QB friendly offense. His skill sets as a QB are exactly the type that the new NFL is targeting, and with the opportunity to sit for a year and learn might be exactly what is needed to tap into Love’s full potential.
14. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Javon Kinlaw, DT, South Carolina
Sigh. Given the impending loss of Ndamukong Suh, Kinlaw could plug and play into the league’s reigning top run defense. Personally, I am not as high on Kinlaw as most. A nagging knee injury and questionable production are legit concerns of mine, but how he wins is a perfect complement to Vita Vea. If Kinlaw’s repertoire expands, there is some serious Chris Jones-esque potential there. Nonetheless, this is more of a continuity pick than anything else.
15. Denver Broncos - Mekhi Becton, OT, Louisville
The idea of pairing Henry Ruggs was very tempting to me, but given the depth in this year’s receiver class, Becton is the safe choice here. It is imperative that they invest in protecting Drew Lock, and the 6′7 behemoth should give them an immediate upgrade over Garrett Bolles.
16. Atlatna Falcons - AJ Epenesa, EDGE, Iowa
With the recent release of Vic Beasley, it is no secret that the Falcons should be looking to add EDGE depth. Epenesa is not the twitchiest player, but his high pass rush ceiling and savvy run defense are a dream fit for Dan Quinn.
17- Dallas Cowboys - Grant Delpit, Safety, LSU
This is another one of those picks that feels somewhat mysterious to me. Yet given the need at safety and the fact that they tried making a push at the trade deadline to acquire Jamal Adams last season, it would not shock me to see them go this direction. Delpit, the 2019 Jim Thrope award winner, is a fast twitch, instinctive eraser in the back end. His tackling concerns are valid, but I fully expect him to clean that issue up early on in his career.
18. Miami Dolphins - Josh Jones, OT, Houston
With a roster lacking talent at seemingly every position, it is best to build from the ground up. After selecting their franchise QB in Tua, they double down and select the athletic Jones to begin solidifying their offensive front.
19. Las Vegas Raiders - Kristian Fulton, CB, LSU
The Raiders have no talent in their secondary. Seriously. Fulton isn’t exactly the flashiest player, but his body of work has proven time and time again that he can hang with the best of them. His Football IQ and moxie provide the Raiders a nice building block towards reshaping that secondary.
20. Jacksonville Jaguars - CJ Henderson, CB, Florida
After going defense with their first pick, the Jags double down and keep building towards that elite 2017 defense they once had. Henderson has faced several ups and downs throughout his career, but his athleticism and potential are higher than anyone else in the class not named Jeffrey Okudah. With the Jags defensive front seeing a hopeful improvement, Henderson should plug in nicely alongside AJ Bouye.
21. Philadelphia Eagles - Henry Ruggs, WR, Alabama
A true burner. Ruggs gives me some Tyreek Hill/Hollywood Brown type vibes. The Bama product offers world class speed, and is a more well rounded receiver than given credit for. Desean Jackson and Alshon Jeffrey are only getting older, and Ruggs provides a much needed deep threat that Carson Wentz has been so desperately lacking the past few seasons.
22. Buffalo Bills - Tee Higgins. WR, Clemson
A 6′5 target with the best hands in the draft is the exact type of receiver the Bills have been lacking for years. Josh Allen gets a new best buddy in Higgins, who has the wingspan and strength to win contested catches and collect errant throws from the gunslingin’ Allen. Higgins has true WR1 potential, and pairing him with John Brown could be what the Bills need to unlock Allen’s full potential.
23. New England Patriots - Xavier Mckinney, Safety, Alabama
The impending free agency of Devin McCourty leaves the Pats in a bit of a pickle. Whether the Pats decide to resign him or not, it can’t hurt to gain some youth at the Safety position. Patrick Chung is aging and beginning to show signs of decline. Enter Mckinney. Nick Saban bestowed the same responsibilities on him that he once did with Minkah Fitzpatrick. Mckinney is a versatile, high IQ player whose instincts should quickly prove to be useful for Belichick.
24. New Orleans Saints - Jalen Reagor, WR, TCU
I can’t envision a scenario where the Saints look a different direction if Reagor is still on the board. An absolute freak of nature, Reagor is expected to dominate the combine. He once posted a ridiculous sub 4.3 40 and an absurd 26 foot (!!!) long jump. Did I mention the fact that all of this was while he was still in high school? Reagor is a true vertical threat, but also serves plenty of value as a return specialist and gadget type player. He is the exact type of player that Sean Payton covets, and while he has all of the makings to become a WR1 in this league, being the Robin to Michael Thomas’ Batman is simply a pairing that cannot be resisted.
25. Minnesota Vikings - Jeff Gladney, CB, TCU
This one feels obvious to me. After investing into the offensive line the last two drafts, the depth in the draft allows the Vikings an opportunity to go out and grab a toolsy corner. Xavier Rhodes looked like a shell of what he was once last season, and that pricey contract still looms large. Both Trae Waynes and Mackenzie Alexander are heading towards free agency, and given Mike Zimmer’s penchant for drafting very athletic corners with good ball skills, this fit seems plausible.
26- Miami Dolphins - Zack Baun, LB, Wisconsin
The ideal chess piece for Brian Flores. Baun’s unique skill set is reminiscent of Kyle Van Noy, as his versatility offers loads of endless opportunities for Flores’ defense. He has all of the traits to play off the ball and offers plus blitz skills, and would give the Dolphins a much needed infusion of talent on the defensive side.
27- Seattle Seahawks - Julian Okwara, EDGE, Notre Dame
The Seahawks last two first round picks have been bizarre to say the least, so don’t be surprised if the twitchy Okwara ends up as the pick. After investing into LJ Collier last season- who is now 25 years old and has recorded one (!) pressure in his young career- it is obvious that the Seahawks are still searching for an answer on the edge outside of Jadeveon Clowney. Okwara is a bit rough around the edges, but offers an intriguing athletic profile and runs with a very high motor. He’s going to need to add play strength early in his career, but his burst and bend might be too tempting to pass on.
28. Baltimore Ravens - Kenneth Murray, LB, Oklahoma
As competitive of a player as there is in this draft. Murray is the type of natural, vocal leader that the Ravens organization seems to covet. His blend of power and speed is something that should mesh immediately in that locker room, and given the Ravens recent track record of drafting Oklahoma players (Mark Andrews, Hollywood Brown, Orlando Brown), Murray seems like an ideal fit.
29. Tennesee Titans - K’lavon Chaisson, EDGE, LSU
Chaisson fits the mold of a Titans defender. Highly athletic, versatile, and bendy off the edge, adding Chaisson to an already talented defense could be the missing piece they need towards taking that next step to being elite. Chaisson offers plenty of risk, but a guy like Mike Vrabel should be able to milk all of the potential out of him that he can get.
30. Green Bay Packers - Brandon Aiyuk, WR, Arizona State
The former JUCO product burst onto the scene this year with a whopping 65-1192-8 stat line. His pure speed and natural after the catch ability is something that offense has long been lacking. Pairing this dynamic playmaker next to Davante Adams would solve what was a very lackluster group last season.
31. San Francisco 49ers - Cesar Ruiz, OC, Michigan
Starting center Weston Richburg is coming off a torn patellar tendon, and the interior depth is showing signs of aging. Ruiz, a late riser, has all of the tools and youth to slide nicely into that unit. An intelligent and experienced player, Ruiz movement skills for his size would be an ideal fit in Shanahan’s offense.
32. Kansas City Chiefs - Ross Blacklock, DT, TCU
Behind Chris Jones and Derrick Nnadi, the depth at defensive tackle leaves plenty to be desired. Blacklock is an athletic specimen who offers plenty of juice to be a high end player. Coming off a 2018 season in which he missed due to a torn Achilles, Blacklock displayed the same explosiveness he had in 2017. While his processing needs some work, he is the type of high ceiling player that defensive coordinator Steve Spagnulo could get the most out of.

NFL Week 9
I believe if you’re a fan of football then it’s easy to agree that Tyreek Hill is the best wideout in the NFL without any question. Yes, there are some really good ones who are stars but Tyreek is a Superstar. After 9 weeks he has produced 1,104 yards from 76 catches and 3 touchdowns at the halfway point of the season. Nobody in pads that lines up at wideout can do what he does. Now I see why Mr. Hill left Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. Quite frankly he bet on himself and it’s paying off humungous dividends for the Miami Dolphins. It also appears the Chiefs and offensive connoisseur Andy Reid under-utilized Tyreek’s skill set. Not having a quarterback who can throw 75 yards I believe is actually helping Tyreek. Most teams don’t double-team a guy under 20 yards and while Hill has gotten behind defensive backs this season, Tua simply cannot push the ball down the field causing Hill to rely on his YAC (yards after catch) in which he has 339 of those. He is annihilating db’s and making it look easy. As Hill was quoted this weekend, “I’m like a kid in a candy store…I’m just having fun.”
Davante Adams was having the game of his life. In the first half of the Oakland Raiders game versus the Jacksonville Jaguars, Adams caught 10 balls on 10 targets for 146 yards and 2 touchdowns. He looked unstoppable. Davante opened up with a catch from the backfield and showed bursts of quickness on his shallow cross and dig rounding out his 2nd and 3rd catch. Before his first touchdown, Adams caught a slant on 4th down where he killed the DB on his release. During his 2nd touchdown he kept his vertical stem 20 yards before declaring post in which Davante made the safety tumble over himself. But as fate, luck, or just how the Raiders season has gone…Davante Adams laid a donut hole in the 2nd half. Of his 7 second-half attempts I marked him down with 3 drops, including a crucial ball he has to make on 4th down to give his team a chance to tie, late in the game. I personally think he was gassed during the whole second half. He cruised out of his break and just looked lazy at the top of his route. If there is anything the Raiders can do to salvage the season I believe its going to start with the wideout core recommitting to excelling the second half of the season and instead of creating excuses look for ways to be the solution the Raiders finish the season with a winning record.
Cooper Kupp is a beast. I know All-Pro defensive tackle Aaron Donald comes to mind when we talk about who the beasts are for the Los Angeles Rams. But when I look at what head coach Sean McVay and the Rams are asking of Kupp, he has to get the Iron Man award for that team. With a non-existent running game, Kupp alines in the backfield catching swing routes which are basically an extension to the run game. And the same for the quick screens he continues to catch with one almost ruining his season late (under 2 min) against the 49ers in a game they had no chance to win. Kupp caught 8 passes for 127 yards and 1 touchdown on a pretty seam pattern where he turned on the jets outracing 3 Buccaneer defenders for the Rams lone touchdown of the day.
Justin Jefferson had an easy day at the office. Jefferson caught 7 balls for a 115 yards and 1 touchdown that was one hell of a catch. With the defender draped all over him Jefferson skied like Jordan for the score in the back of the right end zone. Jefferson looked quick and explosive on some of the quick throw catches he caught and played aggressive all afternoon. There were 3 50/50 balls I feel he should’ve caught at least 2 of them. And to his credit he was interfered with on each one. As I prepare to put out my top 3 maybe 4 list in which I have shortened down from 10 because in all honesty if you not top 3, you’re just not that important. But I believe Jefferson is on that cusp of being either #4 or one spot from being a top wideout at the halfway point.
Rounding out this weeks wideouts who reached the century mark in yards is someone I’ve never heard of. And this would make perfect sense considering the two guys who play in front of him. Keenan Allen and Mike Williams being hurt allowed Josh Palmer of the San Diego Chargers to show coaches what he could do. The 2nd year 3rd round draftee out of Tennessee sure looked as if he belonged. Palmer listed at 6’1 210 played even bigger than his body size. His quickness and speed is one thing that jumped out at me immediately. And he had two nice releases on a deep over and hitch route that impressed me as well. I can see the Chargers being a problem in the second half of the season when they’re healthy and at full-strength. Palmer finished the game with 8 catches for 10 yards and no touchdowns.
Hopefully before the start of Sunday’s game I will have my mid-season top wideouts list done. Wideouts Lets Go, have another great week of playmaking.

The best available players after Round 1 of the 2022 NFL Draft
These are the best players still available after the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft.
The first round of the 2022 NFL Draft was full of surprises. The Jacksonville Jaguars tabbed Georgia defensive lineman Trevon Walker at No. 1 overall after a phenomenal combine performance. Cornerbacks went No. 3 and No. 4 overall when the Texans took Derek Stingley Jr. and New York Jets took Sauce Gardner, respectively. There were also multiple trades, including the Philadelphia Eagles swooping in to grab superstar wide receiver A.J. Brown from the Titans, and the Arizona Cardinals acquiring Hollywood Brown from the Ravens.
There were several early winners from round one. The Giants got a pass rusher with sky-high upside in Kayvon Thibodeaux and then added arguably the draft’s top offensive tackle in Evan Neal. The Eagles traded up two spots to get a monster defensive tackle in Georgia’s Jordan Davis. There was also a major run on wide receivers, with six WRs going in the first round. Five players from Georgia’s national championship defense were also picked in the first round.
Then there was the Pittsburgh Steelers grabbing the first quarterback at No. 20 overall when they selected Pitt’s Kenny Pickett. Liberty QB Malik Willis did not get selected in round one.
Our James Dator graded every first round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. Find the full first round results here, and bet on the rest of the draft at DraftKings Sportsbook.
These are the best players still on the board for day two, which begins on Friday in Las Vegas at 7 p.m. ET. The rankings are pulled from the mock draft database.

What channel is Rams vs. Titans on today? Schedule, time for ‘Sunday Night Football’ in Week 9
The Tennessee Titans and the Los Angeles Rams boast two of the best records in football, with the Titans sitting at 6-2 and the Rams sitting 7-1. Both teams are looking to make a deep run this season, but the Titans suffered a major blow in a big win over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday by losing superstar running back Derrick Henry for at least the regular season. The Rams, meanwhile, have been rolling barring a hiccup against the Cardinals, which has left them second in the NFC West heading into Week 9.
The Rams have proven extremely difficult to figure out, but there’s no denying what the Titans have done in recent weeks. They were able to shut down the Chiefs and their potent offense, and the week before that they eked out a win over the potent Buffalo Bills. Recently they’ve been doing just enough to win, and they’ll now have to do that without their best player against the Rams.
This game could also mark the Titans debut of Adrian Peterson, although he’ll have to wrestle carries away from Jeremy McNichols. It appears the Titans are looking to add as many bodies to the backfield as possible, but it’s abundantly clear this is to be Ryan Tannehill’s offense moving forward.
The Rams have no such problem. They are Matthew Stafford’s team, although it’s the defense featuring a new face Sunday. Von Miller will be suiting up for the Rams for the first time, after being acquired from the Broncos. This is a big “old faces in new places” game, and it being a primetime matchup only adds to the intrigue.
A not-so-old face in a familiar place is receiving leader Cooper Kupp, who has emerged as Stafford’s favorite threat and just won NFC Offensive Player of the Month honors for October. Kupp has 63 catches for 924 yards, putting him second behind Tyreek Hill in receptions and first in the league in yardage.
Here’s what you need to know to watch Titans and Rams this Sunday, including kickoff time, TV channels, and the full Week 9 NFL schedule.

TNF Texans VS Panthers
It’s week 3 in the NFL as the Texans and the Panthers get ready for tonight's showdown on Thursday Night Football. Both teams enter tonight, looking to improve on their records and get pace in their division. but only one can win tonight. Let’s look at how these two teams got to this point.
When it comes to the Texans, their off-season has been filled with a lot of change. First year head coach David Culley took over the reigns as the Texans new Head Coach. In his first year, he is without is Superstar QB Deshaun Watson due to off the field issues. Culley came in from inherited a team that was a former shell of themselves. No Deandre Hopkins, J.J. Watt or Watson. These were premier stars for the Texans that Culley doesn’t have this year. No one expected the Texans to do as well as they’ve done this far. In week 1, the Texans put up 37pts on the Jaguars. Houston would score 27pts in the first half, giving Culley his first win as Head Coach. In Week, the Texans gave Cleveland a run for their money before Tyrod Taylor the Starting QB for Houston, got hurt with a hamstring injury causing Houston to lose 21-31 to the Browns. As for tonight, Houston will start rookie QB Davis Mills due to Tyrod Taylor injury.
The Carolina Panthers have had a lot of changes as well. Last season Matt Rhule was brought in from Baylor to take over as the panthers head coach after Ron Rivera was let go. In his first season Rhule finished 5-11 3rd in the NFC East. This season the Panthers have a new QB in Sam Donald and a young defense who has yet to allow over 14pts in 2-games this season. In Week 2 the Panthers blew out the Saints 26-7 as Donald threw for over 300yds and 2TD. Donald seems to be thriving with the Panthers after his stint with the Jets. I am going with the Panthers to take this one on the road 28-14.

NFL picks, predictions for Week 6: Steelers hold off Browns; Chiefs, 49ers rebound in prime time
Week 6 of the NFL season features great quarterback matchups — and the focus will be on the Tom Brady-Aaron Rodgers and Patrick Mahomes-Josh Allen quarterback duels in the big spotlight games.
Dallas’ Andy Dalton also will be making his first start with his new team on “Monday Night Football” against Kyler Murray and the Cardinals.
Five divisional games, however, have our attention. The Titans-Texans matchup is interesting with Tennessee coming off a short week. The Jets are looking for their first win against the Dolphins, and the Giants are looking for their first win against Washington. San Francisco faces pressure heading into a “Sunday Night Football” matchup against the Rams.
The big game, however, is the Browns-Steelers matchup in Pittsburgh. Cleveland has a chance to knock off an unbeaten team, and this AFC North rivalry has a little more meaning now. That’s the best game of the week.
Last Week: 9-5
Season: 17-10
With that in mind, below are our picks and predictions for Week 6 of the NFL season.

NFL picks, predictions for Week 6
Atlanta Falcons at Minnesota Vikings (-3.5)
Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, FOX
The Falcons fired Dan Quinn after a 0-5 start, and the Vikings might be without Dalvin Cook (groin). Both defenses give up more than 30 points per game, but the Vikings ride Alexander Mattison to victory here in a close one.
Pick: Vikings 29, Falcons 27
MORE: Can the Falcons lure Dabo Swinney away from Clemson?
Houston Texans at Tennessee Titans (-2)
Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, CBS
We have no idea what to expect from the Titans at this point given the COVID-19 issues surrounding the team. The Texans have lost three of the last four at Tennessee, but it depends on how the Titans respond to a short week. We’re going to take Deshaun Watson in the upset.
Pick: Texans 28, Titans 26
Baltimore Ravens (-7.5) at Philadelphia Eagles
Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, CBS
The Ravens’ defense has found its footing since the loss to the Chiefs, and they have allowed just 10 points per game in victories against Washington and Cincinnati. The Eagles present a stiffer challenge, but Baltimore’s offense is just too efficient right now.
Pick: Ravens 31, Eagles 17
(Getty Images) https://images.daznservices.com/di/library/sporting_news/54/59/joe-burrow-091820-getty-ftr_1xvbji5gc9ysu1vdcz23ec1ots.jpg?t=-1591865676&w=500&quality=80
Cincinnati Bengals at Indianapolis Colts (-8)
Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, FOX
Rookie quarterback Joe Burrow took eight sacks against Philadelphia and seven more in the loss to the Ravens last week. Indianapolis will be coming next, and their defense will be motivated after giving up 32 points to the Browns last week.
Pick: Colts 23, Bengals 17
Detroit Lions (-3.5) at Jacksonville Jaguars
Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, FOX
This game appears to have more implications for the 2021 NFL Draft than anything else. The Lions had a bye week to shore up the protection around Matthew Stafford, but Detroit must squeak out another one-score victory on the road.
Pick: Lions 26, Jaguars 21
MORE: Updating the Tank for Trevor Lawrence tracker for Week 6
Washington Football Team at New York Giants (-3)
Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, FOX
Speaking of the No. 1 pick, this NFC East rivalry features two teams still looking for a superstar quarterback. New York’s offense showed up in the loss to Dallas, but the Redskins make it ugly. Chase Young comes up with a late sack to seal the victory.
Pick: Washington 19, Giants 17
(Getty Images) https://images.daznservices.com/di/library/sporting_news/bb/9e/teddy-bridgewater-100520-getty-ftr_13k8qpb4v0pq1flwgorox95gj.jpg?t=-101827132&w=500&quality=80
Chicago Bears at Carolina Panthers (-3)
Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, FOX
The Bears are underdogs for the second straight week, but the offense has changed direction with Nick Foles. Carolina is a hot team with Teddy Bridgewater, who has thrown just one interception and taken two sacks through a three-game win streak. He will be under more heat in this one.
Pick: Bears 26, Panthers 23
Denver Broncos at New England Patriots (TBD)
Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, CBS
The Patriots are another team whose schedule continues to change by the day because of COVID-19, and we have no idea who will be their starting quarterback at this point. We’re sticking to the same prediction as last week.
Pick: Patriots 28, Broncos 19
MORE: How Chiefs’ loss to Raiders impacts AFC race
Cleveland Browns at Pittsburgh Steelers (-3.5)
Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, CBS
Emotions should be high because this is the first matchup with big implications in this rivalry in a while. The Steelers’ defense showed holes in the secondary last week, and Baker Mayfield will make some big plays in the passing game. Cleveland will lead at halftime, but the Steelers will rally in the fourth quarter for another big victory at the Browns’ expense.
Pick: Steelers 29, Browns 27
(Getty Images) https://images.daznservices.com/di/library/sporting_news/af/96/ryan-fitzpatrick-102819-getty-ftrjpg_187qpb19q8ymz1nrtdum0lquyt.jpg?t=321338438&w=500&quality=80
New York Jets at Miami Dolphins (-8)
Sunday, 4:05 p.m. ET, CBS
The Dolphins have won two of their last three behind Ryan Fitzpatrick, who has a pair of 300-yard games in that stretch. The Jets haven’t been able to stop the pass. They will join the Giants in the 0-6 club.
Pick: Dolphins 31, Jets 23
Green Bay Packers (-2.5) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Sunday, 4:25 p.m. ET, FOX
The marquee showdown features Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady. The Packers are coming off the bye week, and the Buccaneers had extra rest after the “Thursday Night Football” loss to the Bears. This is another prove-it game for Brady, and the Buccaneers will lead for three quarters before Rodgers leads a fourth-quarter comeback. You can flip the script and take Tampa Bay if you want. Either way, the game lives up to the hype.
Pick: Packers 33, Buccaneers 31
MORE: 49ers’ Super Bowl hangover is about to get much worse with brutal schedule ahead
Los Angeles Rams (-3.5) at San Francisco 49ers
Sunday, 8:20 p.m. ET, NBC
The Rams and 49ers both have top-five defenses when it comes to yards allowed, and that should lead to a grind-it-out game, and Jimmy Garoppolo faces more pressure than anyone else here. At home, San Francisco delivers.
Pick: 49ers 23, Rams 20
(Getty Images) https://images.daznservices.com/di/library/sporting_news/9d/65/josh-allen-stefon-diggs-101320-getty-ftr_1k2hm9i7obplv17pzio24x73z7.jpg?t=573463901&w=500&quality=80
Kansas City Chiefs (-3) at Buffalo Bills
Monday, 5 p.m. ET, FOX
This game got pushed back from its “Thursday Night Football” spotlight, and it’s Buffalo’s chance to shine on the national stage. The Chiefs were upset by the Raiders in Week 5, but they are more accustomed to this prime-time spot. Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen put on a show, but the Chiefs come out on top.
Pick: Chiefs 33, Bills 24
IYER: Dak Prescott’s injury gives Cowboys more reason to give him long-term contract
Arizona Cardinals (-2.5) at Dallas Cowboys
Monday, 8:15 p.m., ESPN
Andy Dalton is the next man up at quarterback for the Cowboys, and the offense can still function with him at quarterback. This is a homecoming of sorts for Kyler Murray, a Texas high-school legend who has the Cardinals in the playoff hunt. Some might want to write Dallas off. We just think this is the next roller-coaster ride.
Pick: Cowboys 34, Cardinals 31

Fox news Start 'Em, Sit 'Em Week 13: Quarterbacks - NFL.com
Fox news
Printed: Nov. 27, 2019 at 11: 01 a.m.
Up up to now: Nov. 29, 2019 at 01: 12 p.m.
Senior delusion analyst
Begin 'Em & Sit down 'Em is the supreme weekly stare upon NFL matchups and the scheme they're going to electrify your delusion soccer crew. Sage superstars such as Patrick Mahomes and Christian McCaffrey would possibly seemingly per chance not be featured on this column. All participant matchups are basically basically basically based on a PPR scoring procedure. For your final starting lineup choices, take a look at my weekly delusion soccer lineup rankings.
Begin 'Em
Begin of the Week - Aaron Rodgers vs. Novel York Giants
Rodgers used to be a sit down 'em last week, but I'd aid the faith (no decrease than this week), when the Packers head to the Huge Apple to face the Giants. Their protection has given up seven touchdowns and the fifth-most delusion points to signal-callers since Week 9, so Rodgers is a hunch for me. Rain is within the forecast even though, so that can seemingly per chance seemingly trade his outlook.
Kirk Cousins vs. Seattle Seahawks
Cousins has been one of the freshest quarterbacks in delusion soccer, and a Monday night matchup in Seattle makes him a doable top-10 possibility. Take into consideration it or not, the Seahawks have allowed a top-10 delusion self-discipline traditional in four of its last six games, and three others have done within the end 14 on the situation. Cousins is a low-pause QB1 for me.
Josh Allen vs. Dallas Cowboys
Allen has been expansive within the stat sheets, scoring 19 or extra delusion points in each of his last three games. He also is nonetheless solid as a runner, speeding for four touchdowns since Week 9. So while the Cowboys will even be stressful on quarterbacks, I nonetheless care for Allen to plot a pleasing stat line in a an necessary Thanksgiving matchup.
Jameis Winston vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
Winston is nonetheless sophisticated to believe, but he does corrupt fifth in passing yards per sport and 10th in delusion points among quarterbacks. This week he faces the Jaguars, who bright allowed when it comes to 40 delusion points to Ryan Tannehill per week ago. Whereas there would possibly be always threat of an implosion, I nonetheless care for Winston on this sport.
Sam Darnold vs. Cincinnati Bengals
Darnold has performed at a excessive level in recent weeks, scoring over 21 delusion points in three straight games. All the scheme via that time, he's discovered the pause zone a combined nine times. He's an excellent streamer against the Bengals, who've surrendered an moderate of when it comes to 22 delusion points per sport to opposing quarterbacks this season.
Begin 'Em: Kyler Murray vs. Los Angeles Rams, Carson Wentz at Miami Dolphins Sleepers: Prick Foles vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Ryan Fitzpatrick vs. Philadelphia Eagles
Sit down 'Em
Sit down of the Week - Philip Rivers vs. Denver Broncos
Rivers has been brutal within the stat sheets, scoring fewer than 15 delusion points in in all but one of his last seven games. He also has seven picks in his last two contests. He wishes to be benched once again, because the Broncos have surrendered five touchdown passes and the fifth-fewest delusion points to motorway quarterbacks in 2019.
Matt Ryan vs. Novel Orleans Saints
I'm on the fence with Ryan this week, because this season as been so sideways he would possibly seemingly per chance seemingly defy the matchup. He has failed to rating extra than 16.4 points in four straight games even though, and the Saints held him to fewer than 15 points in Week 10. I'd not be bowled over if Ryan had an very excellent line, but he's hard to believe with the playoffs on the line.
Jimmy Garoppolo vs. Baltimore Ravens
Garoppolo has scored 18-plus delusion points in three of his last four games, but he's a tough promote when he travels to Baltimore to face a truly stingy Ravens protection. These birds have allowed bright two touchdown passes and an moderate of fewer than 13 delusion points a sport to enemy quarterbacks at M&T Financial institution Stadium this season.
Baker Mayfield vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
Mayfield has been on absolute fire for delusion followers in recent weeks, but can he aid it up in a stressful divisional roadie against the Steelers? Their protection has given up bright nine touchdown passes and an moderate of 12.1 delusion points per sport to quarterbacks at Heinz Discipline, so Mayfield would possibly seemingly per chance seemingly seemingly be in for a stressful week in Pittsburgh.
Daniel Jones vs. Inexperienced Bay Packers
Jones scored bright 14.7 delusion points in what used to be a stressful matchup versus the Bears per week ago, and an upcoming contest against the Packers makes him a proceed for me once again. Their protection has allowed 14 touchdown passes and fewer than 15 delusion points per sport to enemy quarterbacks, so the rookie is in a despicable region.
Sit down 'Em: Andy Dalton vs. Novel York Jets, Jacoby Brissett vs. Tennessee Titans Busts: Tom Brady at Houston Texans, Derek Carr at Kansas City Chiefs
Michael Fabiano is an award-a success delusion soccer analyst on NFL.com and NFL Network and a member of the Sage Sports activities Writers Association (FSWA) Corridor of Fame. You would adjust to Michael on Twitter, Fb, YouTube and Instagram for the total most in vogue delusion soccer news, notes and in-depth prognosis!

The first 1st round, an RTARL mock NFL draft: 2017
I meant this to be a lot jokier but that seems like more effort than making up a mock draft. The first of 38 drafts between now and April 27th.
This is based on the current order and doesn’t account for trades. The RTARLgorithm is on ice since it was hacked by Russians. Yes, just like the power grid.
1. CLEVELAND BROWNS
Josh Allen, QB, Wyoming
I don’t really have an opinion of Allen but after Carson Wentz was drafted #2 overall and didn’t shit himself every second of every game this seems like a sure thing lock. Myles Garrett is way too good for the Browns anyway.
2. SAN FRANCISCO 49ers
Deshaun Watson, QB, Clemson
It should be fun to look back on this in a few months and laugh that I’m basing this pick on the idea that Clemson will beat Alabama and that the 49ers will have a GM and coach in place by the time the draft happens.
3. CHICAGO BEARS
Cam Robinson, LT, Alabama
I don’t pretend to know what offensive line prospects belong in which scheme or at which pick but I’m guessing the Bears also fuck up and pass on Myles Garrett.
4. JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS
Myles Garrett, DE, Texas A&M
Garrett and Yannick Ngakoue will be holy terrors together. Garrett is the best. He’s gonna destroy teams right away next year.
5. TENNESSEE TITANS
Adoree Jackson, CB, USC
Draft Twitter doesn’t even pretend to know how the defensive backs all stack up right now and I don’t know how bad Jackson’s injury was in the Pro Bowl.
6. NEW YORK JETS
Jamal Adams, S, LSU
Adams could end up the best player in the draft. Unless of course he ends up on the Jets.
7. SAN DIEGO CHARGERS
Mike Williams, WR, Clemson
I’ve got this weird notion that Phil Rivers is going to have an end of career resurgence that pushes him into the Hall of Fame. One really good receiver would help immensely on that path.
8. CAROLINA PANTHERS
Leonard Fournette, RB, LSU
This actually seems like a terrible idea but I also thought Cam Newton was going to be a massive bust. Do the Panthers really value the RB position enough to do this? Probably not.
9. CINCINNATI BENGALS
Jabrill Peppers, ???, Michigan
This would be a hilariously awful pick that would somehow work out pretty well for a couple of years. Typical Bengals IMO.
10. BUFFALO BILLS
Quincy Wilson, CB, Florida
I have to check to see if this guy gets injured enough for the Bills to take a chance on him.
11. NEW ORLEANS SAINTS
Malik Hooker, S, Ohio State
If this seems like I know anything about what I’m doing here you need to stop. I’m just banging out content.
12. CLEVELAND BROWNS
Jonathan Allen, DL, Alabama
I don’t know how possible this is but I just thought of the idea of the Browns ending up with Garrett and Allen and then getting a QB with the first pick in the second round and becoming good next year. No way the Browns become good ever.
13. ARIZONA CARDINALS
Zach Cunningham, LB, Vanderbilt
I don’t really have an opinion of Cunningham and I didn’t realize the Cardinals were so bad this year.
14. INDIANAPOLIS COLTS
Ryan Ramczyk, OL, Wisconsin
I’m just picking names out of a hat. A shitty offensive lineman who never helps the team at all is the idea here. Might start looking at QBs if they’re smart.
15. PHILADELPHIA EAGLES
Dalvin Cook, RB, Florida State
I plan on hating Cook forever. He’s Joe Mixon without a security camera.
16. BALTIMORE RAVENS
Takkarist McKinley, DL, UCLA
This seems like the kind of lucky pick the Ravens get every year. Taco Christ McCinley is a superstar in the short term.
17. WASHINGTON REDSKINS
Reuben Foster, LB, Alabama
Or they could just let Kris Cousings walk and draft a shitty QB with this pick.
18. TENNESSEE TITANS
David Njoku, TE, Miami
Njoku is going to blow up on draft twitter after the combine. He’s going to put up Vernon Davis numbers but with a twist that he’s actually a good football player, too.
19. TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS
Tim Williams, DL, Alabama
Another guy I don’t have any real idea about. But I saw his name written down with nice words after and I’m convinced he’ll be great. I could be crazy but I think this is going to be a pretty strong draft.
20. DENVER BRONCOS
Roderick Johnson, OL, Florida State
The Broncos offense is a wasteland so who knows how many different directions they can go here. They got a QB in the first round last year so probably any other position is in play.
21. DETROIT LIONS
Derek Barnett, DE, Tennessee
Barnett is gonna be a huge bust so I’ve got him going way later than other people but the truth is that he’ll get drafted in the top 10.
22. MIAMI DOLPHINS
DeMarcus Walker, DE, Florida State
Walker straight up sucks as an NFL prospect and the Dolphins will go back to normal in short order. This is a match made in heaven.
23. OAKLAND RAIDERS
Desmond King, CB, Iowa
The last Iowa guy I can remember going to Oakland is one of the biggest busts of all time. I think King will be really good even though he’s gonna measure at like 5′9″ during the combine.
24. GREEN BAY PACKERS
Corey Davis, WR, Western Michigan
I don’t think of WR as a huge area of need for the Packers but I felt like throwing Davis’s name out there at about 24 and the Packers are kind of hard to predict in general.
25. HOUSTON TEXANS
Antonio Garcia, LT, Troy
I’ve, uh, sure, totally studied the tape on... Garcia. And he’s a good kid. Lots of great intel coming out of Turkey Alabama about this Antonio Garcia kid.
26. ATLANTA FALCONS
Caleb Brantley, DT, Florida
Another guy who will probably go way earlier than where I’m putting him. My guessing is bad even when I’m trying so don’t even pay attention to this shit.
27. KANSAS CITY CHIEFS
Raekwon McMillan, LB, Ohio State I’m kind of hoping the Chiefs end up with Brad Kaaya but I can’t really justify even in this silliest of thought wasters.
28. DALLAS COWBOYS
Jourdan Lewis, CB, Michigan
Lewis might be too small for anybody to draft him in the first round. I don’t really know how fast he is, either. But you people need content.
29. SEATTLE SEAHAWKS
Montravious Adams, DT, Auburn
Everybody seems to want the Seahawks to draft an OL so they’ll do that in the 6th round and get an immediate All-Pro.
30. PITTSBURGH STEELERS
Haason Reddick, LB, Temple
I don’t think anybody has Reddick in the first round but the Steelers need an OLB and he’s just weird enough and good enough to be perfect for Pittsburgh.
31. NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS
Kendell Beckwith, LB, LSU
I don’t really know anything about Beckwith but it says LSU next to his name so I assume he’s crazy athletic and way better than people realize.
32. NEW YORK GIANTS
Malik McDowell, DT, Michigan State
Just for the sake of Sparty.

Meet the sons of former NFL players taking over the 2021 draft class
Want to feel old? The 2021 draft is filled with sons of NFL players you used to watch.
There’s a not-so-fun cycle of being a sports fan. As a kid, your idols are all adults — viewed from far away, and serving as inspiration. The next jump happens in college, when suddenly players entering the league are your age, and it’s kind of neat. In your early twenties it’s still fun, and people slightly younger than you are becoming superstars.
The pivot begins in your late 20s. At this point you suffer the crippling weight of realization that players destined to be millionaires will be more financially successful than you ever will, and they’re a decade younger than you. Now, I’m reaching the final stage: Hilarity. This is when the players you watched as a kid have their own children entering the league. A grim realization of the unstoppable passage of time,
And on that cheery note, I’d like you to share in my grim existential crisis by learning about all the players entering the 2021 NFL Draft who had parents you watch play years ago, and some who entered the league in recent years you may have missed. It’s my hope that you’ll feel terrible about all this when it’s over, because misery loves company.
Patrick Surtain II, CB — Alabama
The highest-rated prospects of the NFL children this class, Patrick Surtain II is, you guessed it, the son of Patrick Surtain. Surtain Sr. played 10 years in the NFL at cornerback for the Dolphins and Chiefs, being named to the All-Pro team in 2002 and 2003.
Surtain Sr. was a highly-rated small-school prospect when he entered the league out of Southern Miss, but his son is a very different player at the same point in his career. A five star recruit who played for Alabama, Surtain II has prototypical size for the modern cornerback position at 6’2, 202 pounds — and is expected to be one of the first defensive backs off the board in the draft.
Unlike his father, who needed to prove himself in the NFL, Surtain II will be expected to enter the league from day one, not just as one of the best defensive backs on his team, but ready to take on a leadership position.
Will he be better than dad?
It’s likely. That’s not a knock on Patrick Surtain Sr, but rather an acknowledgment of just how incredible Surtain II is. Yes, he was on a dominant Alabama team, but between his time in Tuscaloosa and his tutelage under his father we’re going to see a monster in the NFL.
Asante Samuel Jr, CB — Florida State
When you talk about a chip off the old block, this is one heck of a father-son comparison. Asante Samuel Jr. is the exact same height as his dad, and just one pound lighter than his father’s playing weight.
Once seen as a lock first round pick, Samuel Jr. has fallen a little down draft boards after putting in an excellent, but not transcendent final season for the Seminoles, but he’ll still be selected on day two, no question. There are still things he needs to learn to become a true force in the NFL, but that’s really appropriate, considering his dad did the same.
While Asante Samuel was drafted by the Patriots and played four years in New England, most remember him for his time in Philadelphia. The prize of the 2008 free agency class, Samuel quickly signed with the Eagles and became one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL.
For three straight years he was named to the Pro Bowl, making the All-Pro team in two of these years. A big-play, ball-hawking cornerbacks, Samuel wasn’t just known for locking down top receivers, but absolutely turning games with big-time interceptions that teams crave.
Will he be better than dad?
Asante Samuel was one of the best defensive players in the entire league for a good chunk of his career. There’s possibility here, but it will require a little humility from Samuel Jr, and a willingness to learn the finer points of playing cornerback in the NFL.
Jaycee Horn, CB — South Carolina
This is a fun case of seeing a son completely flip positions from his father. Everyone knows the great Joe Horn, who played wide receiver in the NFL from 1996-2007, most notably with the New Orleans Saints, but Jacee Horn has become a force of a cornerback at South Carolina.
Similar to Asante Samuel Jr, Horn was once seen as a first round lock but has been sliding lower with concerns whether his game was too based on the ability to make contact with receivers in the college game, which may not translate to the NFL. That sounds a lot more dire than it really is, because Horn will be a day two pick for sure — and would likely start for most teams in the NFL from the jump.
It’s going to be interesting to see how Jaycee adapts to the NFL. Here’s a kid who, presumably, spent many of his formative years covering his dad. That will be interesting to watch. The biggest tragedy of Joe Horn’s career is that he caught on too late. After languishing on the Chiefs’ special teams unit for years, it wasn’t until he arrived on the Saints that he showed his potential — often playing much larger than his 6’1 frame would suggest. A jump ball master, Horn would out-muscle smaller DBs and come down with ball, being a nightmare matchup for opposing defensive coordinators.
Will he be better than dad?
That’s a difficult question considering they play different positions. Joe Horn was a four time Pro Bowler for the Saints, and probably deserved more than he ended up getting — but everything is really on Jaycee Horn as he develops in the NFL. If the metric we’re using is Pro Bowl appearances and All-Pro teams he certainly has a chance, because his dad felt so often like he was on the outside looking in.

NFL power rankings: Seahawks, Bills, Steelers get closer to top; Eagles, Vikings in a free fall for Week 3
Week 2 in the NFL meant every team that played at home in Week 1 had to go on the road, and vice versa. After only two games, or through one-eighth of the 2020 season, there’s a already a better indication of what teams are headed somewhere vs. nowhere.
A few teams on either the best or the worst side of performed exactly how one expects. But this is in the NFL, where surprises and disappointments are par for the course, even in the sprint stage before the marathon.
After some more predictable results, here’s how all 32 teams stack up against each other going into Week 3 in Sporting News’ latest look at the league hierarchy:

NFL power rankings
1. Kansas City Chiefs 2-0 (last week’s ranking: 1)
The run defense continues to have problems and their passing offense isn’t always automatic. But they still have Patrick Mahomes to save the day, and all he needs is a chance late. That escape from Los Angeles keeps the dream of 16-0 alive, but the No. 2 team here is next on the schedule.
2. Baltimore Ravens 2-0 (2)
The Ravens have flown to similar heights with Lamar Jackson doing his efficient passing and running MVP thing again. They’ve enjoyed a couple of walkovers against the Browns and the Texans, but they finally get their rematch with the Chiefs to prove just whether they can be the AFC’s best again.
3. Seattle Seahawks 2-0 (4)
They have Russell Wilson and a strong running game and that has helped them get through some major run and pass defense issues early. But Wilson did outduel two former MVPs, Matt Ryan and Cam Newton. The elite QB fun continues against Dak Prescott and the Cowboys.
MORE: Russell Wilson locked in, trying to prove he’s NFL’s best QB
4. Buffalo Bills 2-0 (5)
Josh Allen is trying to get himself in the same fun-and-gun company as Mahomes and Jackson. The Bills haven’t made it look all that easy at times against the Jets and the Dolphins, but the solid results are there. The Rams will be a good tougher test.
5. Pittsburgh Steelers 2-0 (7)
Ben Roethlsiberger is back for sure and the running game keeps on pounding out the hits. Their defense may be trying to catch up, perhaps knowing there is less of a burden on them to sack, intercept and strip to save the day. They should keep rolling on the Texans.
6. Green Bay Packers 2-0 (6)
The Packers have done whatever they want with Aaron Rodgers and Aaron Jones, throwing back to their most explosive offensive days. The Lions and Vikings were pushovers, however, and they draw the stronger Saints on the road in prime time.
7. Los Angeles Rams 2-0 (10)
The Rams can run the ball with anyone again and keep taking pressure of Jared Goff with a friendlier passing game. They also have seen their defensive scheming shakeup work really well to complement their superstars, Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsey.
8. Arizona Cardinals 2-0 (9)
The Cardinals have seen Kyler Murray give opponents the run-around with a big assist from DeAndre Hopkins. They also have to be pleased how their defense is rising behind Chandler Jones and in front of Budda Baker. Kliff Kingsbury is an early coach of the year candidate.
MORE: Kyler Murray for MVP? Don’t sleep on it
9. New Orleans Saints 1-1 (3)
The Saints didn’t make it perfect to stay ahead of the Buccaneers with a loss at the Raiders. They got caught looking ahead the Packers, as they need to navigate better not having Michael Thomas.
10. New England Patriots 1-1 (8)
File Kingsbury under Bill Belichick, who waited a long time to find Cam Newton to replace Tom Brady. They got Newton for almost nothing and now he’s playing like a healthy all-around MVP again. Unreal.
(Getty Images) https://images.daznservices.com/di/library/sporting_news/47/dd/jimmy-garoppolo-092019-getty-ftr_1lrd2hnqqb9lc1vj8ge4yc2g8k.jpg?t=-1380224228&w=500&quality=80
11. San Francisco 49ers 1-1 (11)
The 49ers keep getting decimated by injuries, indicating that they are not immune to post-Super Bowl attrition. They have to survive with what they have offensively and defensively without Jimmy Garoppolo and Nick Bosa. One wonders how long they can hang on. They do return to New York to face the weak Giants, however, as another break in Week 3.
12. Tampa Bay Buccaneers 1-1 (12)
The Bucs righted the pirate ship at home, finding their strong running game with Ronald Jones and Leonard Fournette to support Brady in his downfield-throwing efforts. The schedule continues to open a bit where they will stay on the Saints’ heels.
13. Dallas Cowboys 1-1 (15)
The Cowboys need to pay Prescott long-term, stat, after that latest miracle he pulled against the Falcons. He does whatever’s needed passing and running to cover all their other issues include a lack of discipline and consistent defense.
MORE: Why Cowboys are “America’s Most Exciting Team”
14. Tennessee Titans 2-0 (19)
The Titans did make it to the AFC championship with a similar offensive formula, Ryan Tannehill making efficient big plays working off the power running threat of Derrick Henry. But their defense hasn’t looked all that good against two limited offenses. Luckily, their schedule gives them the struggling Vikings next.
15. Las Vegas Raiders 2-0 (18)
The Raiders took advantage of their Panthers matchup and got more confident with a big upset win in Las Vegas over the Saints. They follow by facing the Patriots on a short week, another good litmus test.
15. Chicago Bears 2-0 (20)
The Bears have danced past the Lions and Washington Football Team in a very nice opening schedule, rediscovering their running game and defense foundation. They will need Mitchell Trubisky to pass a lot better with the Falcons up next.
16. Los Angeles Chargers 1-1 (13)
Justin Herbert may not have the starting gig for good, Anthony Lynn says? What the? Going back to Tyrod Taylor, even if healthy, would not make any sense. Plus, it’s the Panthers in Week 3, a great game for Herbert to keep building confidence. The rookie leaning so well on running game, defense and good receivers had to be inspiring, right?
MORE: Breaking down Justin Herbert’s NFL debut vs. Chiefs
18. Washington Football Team 1-1 (16)
Washington had a wake-up call against the Cardinals as it couldn’t stop Murray and Dwayne Haskins can’t do too much with limited help around him. Ron Rivera’s team overachieved against the Eagles, but it might take a while for another win with the Browns next on the road.
19. Cleveland Browns 1-1 (24)
The Browns found their run-heavy successful formula in Week 2, taking the major pressure off Baker Mayfield. They get another break to get above .500 with Washington back in Cleveland.
20. Indianapolis Colts 1-1 (26)
The Colts are a hard team to read. Their offense and defense tend to be roller-coaster rides where everything starts with running the ball well and stopping the run. But what they get out of Philip Rivers in the passing game, plus their pass rush and pass coverage, are real wild cards that might keep them out of contention.

21. Jacksonville Jaguars 1-1 (21)
The Jaguars can’t think about drafting Gardner Minshew’s replacement now, can they? He’s lifted them to a surprise victory and they aren’t that far from being 2-0 because of him. Amazing what giving him top skill support does.
22. Houston Texans 0-2 (22)
Deshaun Watson is short on skill support as he misses Hopkins at wide receiver. The defense is worse, putting more on him to win games with his arm and legs. Without Watson, this may be the worst team in the league.
23. Philadelphia Eagles 0-2 (17)
The Eagles are getting shoddy play from Carson Wentz when he was such a big factor in lifting them last season. The offensive line and wide receiver issues have been bigger than expected. But that defense is also getting pounded more than expected, too.
24. Minnesota Vikings 0-2 (14)
Kirk Cousins has had a rough start because they are more dependent on him. The defense is the most disastrous it has ever been under Mike Zimmer. Miinnesota needs to take down Tennessee at home in Week 3 to save the season.
25. Atlanta Falcons 0-2 (25)
The Falcons keep having issues everywhere defensively that bring down all their great offensive firepower around Ryan, now led by red-hot Calvin Ridley. Dan Quinn needs his team to beat the Bears to save his job for now.
26. Denver Broncos 0-2 (23)
Von Miller isn’t playing. Drew Lock isn’t playing. Phillip Lindsay isn’t playing. Courltand Sutton may need to miss more time. This has been a Mile High nightmare of injuries, worse than John Elway could have expected. Tampa Bay up next doesn’t help.
27. Cincinnati Bengals 0-2 (28)
The Bengals go up a notch because of only Joe Burrow this week. Everything else about their team not involving him remains a mess.
28. New York Giants 0-2 (27)
The Giants had a lot of promise for Daniel Jones, and despite two valiant efforts, they are winless. The defense is improved, but now the offense has been greatly worsened by Saquon Barkley going down.
(Getty Images) https://images.daznservices.com/di/library/sporting_news/d/a/christian-mccaffrey-092020-getty-ftr_1tk1lqppfdpoy12ei82xc94pjq.jpg?t=-1379501100&w=500&quality=80
29. Carolina Panthers 0-2 (29)
The Panthers’ defense is pretty bad and their shining light on offense, Christian McCaffrey will likely be out a while. Oh boy.
30. Miami Dolphins 0-2 (31)
When will it be Tua Tagovailoa time? Not Thursday night against the Jaguars but soon.
31. Detroit Lions 0-2 (30)
The Lions are really crumbling around Matthew Stafford as no Kenny Golladay has hurt and their defense is about to doom Matt Patricia.
32. New York Jets 0-2 (32)
Adam Gase is asking for his team to dismiss him with his bad personnel moves and offense that looks more like debacle than genius.

New on Sports Illustrated: NFL Mock Draft: Vegas Odds Predict First Round
What would happen if the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft goes exactly how the oddsmakers in Vegas predict?
The 2020 NFL Draft is just hours away. Thousands of mock drafts have been produced so far, but this one is a little different. This mock isn't predicated specifically on team need, value or hype. Below is what Vegas oddsmakers believe is most likely to happen on Thursday night based on betting odds.
1. Cincinnati Bengals: QB, Joe Burrow, LSU
Oddsmakers in Vegas are no longer posting any betting odds since they have learned it’s a foregone conclusion that the Heisman Trophy-winning LSU quarterback will be the first player off the board.
2. Washington: DE, Chase Young, Ohio State
The star Buckeye had a stellar junior season that saw him lead the nation with 16.5 sacks, six forced fumbles and 21 tackles for loss in just 12 games. Barring a last-minute shock, Washington will grab the player who many draft experts have rated as the best overall prospect in the entire draft. He is now -1430 to land with Washington at DraftKings sportsbook.
SI Crystal Ball Betting Odds: Offense +550; Defense -900
Young Draft Position Odds Betting: 2.5 (Over +415; Under -875)
3. Detroit Lions: CB, Jeffrey Okudah, Ohio State
There’s been growing speculation that the Lions could trade down with a team looking to jump up to acquire either Tua Tagovailoa of Alabama or perhaps Oregon’s Justin Herbert. Okudah is an ideal fit for Matt Patricia’s press coverage scheme. William Hill now has the standout cover corner as a -150 favorite to land with the Lions.
SI Crystal Ball Betting Odds: Offense +400; Defense -600
Okudah Draft Position Odds Betting: 4.5 (Over +115; Under -145)
4. New York Giants: OT, Jedrick Wills, Alabama
The growing speculation that Wills is coveted by Dave Gettleman has become a reality with the oddsmakers. FanDuel sportsbook now has the outstanding offensive tackle out of Alabama as the favorite to be the Giants’ pick at No. 4 at odds of -175. Wills is also now a monster favorite in the “First Offensive Lineman Drafted” market at odds of -188 at William Hill. Meanwhile, at FanDuel sportsbook, the odds on the Giants going with an offensive lineman with their first pick now stands at -400.
SI Crystal Ball Betting Odds: Offense -110; Defense -110
Wills Draft Position Odds Betting: 8.5 (Over +160; Under -200)
5. Miami Dolphins: QB, Tua Tagovailoa, Alabama
Despite all the smoke screens that Miami prefers Justin Herbert at No. 5, the front office decides to invest high draft capital on the former Alabama star QB. Tagovailoa is now a -160 favorite to be drafted ahead of Justin Herbert over at FanDuel sportsbook.
SI Crystal Ball Betting Odds: Offense -925; Defense +690
Tagovailoa Draft Position Odds Betting: 3.5 (Over -360; Under +280)
6. Los Angeles Chargers: QB, Justin Herbert, Oregon
Herbert has all the tools of a prototypical NFL prospect: size (6-foot-6, 237 pounds), speed (4.46 40-yard dash) and superior arm strength. At FanDuel sportsbook, Herbert is a prohibitive favorite (-950) to be drafted ahead of Utah State’s Jordan Love (+560).
SI Crystal Ball Betting Odds: Offense -700; Defense +535
Herbert Draft Position Odds Betting: 5.5 (Over -110; Under -110)
7. Carolina Panthers: DL, Derrick Brown, Auburn
Brown is the prototypical NFL run-stuffer at 6-foot-5 and 320 pounds that NFL scouts and GMs crave as cornerstones of their interior lines. Brown is a defensive tackle with a rare combination of size and disruptive traits. His overall draft position number (8.5) has seen significant sharp steam with the under now juiced to odds of -200 at FanDuel sportsbook.
SI Crystal Ball Betting Odds: Offense +185; Defense -275
Brown Draft Position Odds Betting: 8.5 (Over +150; Under -200)
8. Arizona Cardinals: OT, Tristan Wirfs, Iowa
The Cardinals made the single biggest splash of the 2020 offseason by stealing superstar wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins from the Houston Texans. Our SI Crystal ball predicts that Arizona will look to stay on the offensive side of the ball (-315). Arizona is favored to draft an offensive lineman (-200) with their first-round pick over at DraftKings sportsbook. Wirfs’ overall draft position market (8.5) has seen sharp action in recent days on the under which now stands at -170 at William Hill.
SI Crystal Ball Betting Odds: Offense -315; Defense +225
Wirfs Draft Position Odds Betting: 8.5 (Over +140; Under -170)
9. Jacksonville Jaguars: LB, Isaiah Simmons, Clemson
The odds on his overall draft position projection of 6.5, which once stood with heavy juice (-160) to the under, now stands with moderate juice (-140) in the opposite direction on the over. This strong move coincides with significant support from sharp bettors that arguably the best overall prospect will not be selected by either the Lions at No. 3 or the Giants at No. 4.
SI Crystal Ball Betting Odds: Offense +120; Defense -175
Simmons Draft Position Odds Betting: 6.5 (Over -140; Under +110)
10. Cleveland Browns: OT, Andrew Thomas, Georgia
The odds on Thomas’ overall draft position projection of 10.5, which once stood with juice (-130) to the over, now stands with juice (-130) in the opposite direction on the under at William Hill. At DraftKings, the Browns are prohibitive favorites (-305) to go offensive line in the first round.
SI Crystal Ball Betting Odds: Offense -600; Defense +400
Thomas Draft Position Odds Betting: 10.5 (Over +110; Under -130)
11. New York Jets: OT, Mekhi Becton, Louisville
The Jets are favored to go offensive line and they do just that by landing the 6-foot-7, 360-pounder out of Louisville. Becton has seen his draft stock tumble with the oddsmakers adjusting his overall draft position number from 8.5 to 10.5 at DraftKings sportsbook after word broke over the weekend of a recent failed drug test. The Jets have been known to shock fans on draft day and do so once again taking a risk on a talented player with tremendous upside.
SI Crystal Ball Betting Odds: Offense -500; Defense +350
Becton Draft Position Odds Betting: 10.5 (Over -125; Under +105)
12. Las Vegas Raiders: WR, Jerry Jeudy, Alabama
The Raiders need star power in their first season in Las Vegas and they get that in one of the best route running wide receivers to come into the NFL in decades. Nearly every book has Jeudy favored as the first wide receiver off the board, slightly ahead of CeeDee Lamb. The Raiders are heavily favored at odds of -167 to go wide receiver with the No. 12 pick at DraftKings sportsbook, with Jeudy’s overall draft position number (12.5) continuing to be shaded strongly to the under at odds of -155 at William Hill.
SI Crystal Ball Betting Odds: Offense -225; Defense +170
Jeudy Draft Position Odds Betting: 12.5 (Over +125; Under -155)
13. San Francisco 49ers : WR, CeeDee Lamb, Oklahoma
San Francisco is heavily favored (-177) to draft a wide receiver with the No. 13 selection at DraftKings sportsbook. Lamb is the second betting choice in William Hill’s “First Overall Wide Receiver Drafted” market at odds of +130, only slightly behind Jeudy (+120). Lamb has seen his overall draft position number of 13.5, shaded heavily to the under (-175), adjust to 12.5 juiced (-130) to the under at William Hill.
SI Crystal Ball Betting Odds: Offense -225; Defense +180
Lamb Draft Position Odds Betting: 12.5 (Over +100; Under -130)
14. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: OT, Josh Jones, Houston
The first real curve ball of the night comes at pick No. 14. Tampa Bay is heavily favored (-400) to go offensive line in an attempt to bolster the protection in front of Tom Brady at DraftKings sportsbook. With four offensive tackles already off the board, the Buccaneers select fast-rising prospect Josh Jones 13 spots earlier than his overall draft position projection at William Hill.
SI Crystal Ball Betting Odds: Offense -550; Defense +300
Jones Draft Position Odds Betting: 27.5 (Over -110; Under -110)
15. Denver Broncos: WR, Henry Ruggs III, Alabama
The Broncos are strongly favored (-200) to draft a wide receiver at pick No. 15 in the first round at DraftKings sportsbook. John Elway lands Drew Lock one of the most dynamic wideouts in this year’s draft in Ruggs. Pay attention to the significant move on Ruggs’ overall position market (15.5), which now stands heavily juiced to the under at odds of -280.
SI Crystal Ball Betting Odds: Offense -290; Defense +200
Ruggs Draft Position Odds Betting: 15.5 (Over +165; Under -280)
16. Atlanta Falcons: DT, Javon Kinlaw, South Carolina
The oddsmakers at DraftKings sportsbook have the Falcons favored (+100) to go defensive line with their first-round pick. Atlanta wants to add another pass rusher, even with Dante Fowler Jr. and Takk McKinley already on the roster. Kinlaw is solid value this late in the first round.
SI Crystal Ball Betting Odds: Offense +300; Defense -250
Kinlaw Draft Position Odds Betting: 13.5 (Over -125; Under +105)
17. Dallas Cowboys: CB, C.J. Henderson, Florida
The Cowboys lost top cornerback Byron Jones in free agency. The oddsmakers at DraftKings sportsbook list cornerback (+175) as the favorite for Dallas at pick No. 17. The juice on his overall draft position (16.5) at Bovada now stands at a whopping -600 to the under.
SI Crystal Ball Betting Odds: Offense +200; Defense -250
Henderson Draft Position Betting Odds: 16.5 (Over +350; Under -600)
18. Miami Dolphins (via PIT): OLB, K'Lavon Chaisson, LSU
Chaisson is a -200 favorite to be drafted ahead of Kenneth Murray (+154) over at FanDuel sportsbook. The Dolphins come to their second of three first-round selections having already added their franchise quarterback. Now it's time to continue to rebuild the roster. Chaisson’s athleticism enables him to be one of the best edge pass rushers in the draft. With Kyle Van Noy on one side and Chaisson on the other, tackles in the AFC East are officially put on notice.
Chaisson Draft Position Odds Betting: 16.5 (Over -160; Under +120)
19. Las Vegas Raiders (via CHI): LB, Kenneth Murray, Oklahoma
Murray grew up idolizing Ray Lewis and his game is very similar, making plays in coverage and against the run. Murray dominated at Oklahoma and he will fit in great with Jon Gruden’s style of defense. Murray is now -500 to be drafted in the first round at DraftKings sportsbook.
Murray Draft Position Odds Betting: 21.5 (Over -120; Under +100)
20. Jacksonville Jaguars (via LAR): WR, Justin Jefferson, LSU
In 2019, the 6-foot-1, 203-pound LSU receiver hauled in 111 balls to go along with 18 touchdowns. Jefferson is rising up draft boards and is easily one of the hottest players as we approach the draft on Thursday night. After landing Simmons at No. 9, the Jaguars are enjoying the best draft of any team if the betting odds hold true to form. The juice on the under (-270) on Jefferson’s overall draft position number continues to steam as oddsmakers at Bovada do not believe he makes it beyond his projection of 21.5.
Jefferson Draft Position Odds Betting: 21.5 (Over +180; Under -270)
21. Philadelphia Eagles: WR, Denzel Mims, Baylor
The Eagles are heavily favored (-200) to draft a wide receiver with pick No. 21 at DraftKings sportsbook. Alshon Jeffery, DeSean Jackson and Nelson Agholor missed a combined 24 games last year. Agholor is now wearing Silver and Black in Las Vegas and Jeffery’s future in Philly is uncertain to say the least. However, the Eagles will be disappointed to see four wide receivers already off the board when they are on the clock. Mims has been rising up draft boards after scoring 28 touchdowns in three seasons at Baylor. He is now nearly a two-to-one favorite to land in the first round. Mims is a -200 favorite to be drafted ahead of Tee Higgins (+154) over at FanDuel sportsbook.
SI Crystal Ball Betting Odds: Offense -200; Defense +150
Mims Draft Position Odds Betting: 32.5 (Over +125; Under -195)
22. Minnesota Vikings: CB, Kristian Fulton, LSU
The Vikings are favored to draft a cornerback (-110) with their first of two selections in the first round of the draft. After seeing Okudah and Henderson off the board early, they grab Fulton just a few spots ahead of the oddsmakers’ overall projection number of 24.5. At the NFL Scouting Combine, Fulton clocked in with a 4.46 40-yard dash and 35.5-inch vertical jump, both among the best marks for a cornerback in this year's draft class. Fulton is a -235 favorite to be drafted in the first round at FanDuel sportsbook.
SI Crystal Ball Betting Odds: Offense +140; Defense -170
Fulton Draft Position Odds Betting: 24.5 (Over -110; Under -110)
23. New England Patriots: DE, A.J. Epenesa, Iowa
With a total of 12 draft picks, including four in the top 100, New England will have a chance to replenish a roster that most notably lost arguably the greatest quarterback in league history. After losing Van Noy in free agency, the Patriots begin to reshape their front seven with Epenesa. In 2019, Epenesa recorded 11.5 sacks, 14 tackles for loss and four forced fumbles. The oddsmakers have adjusted his original draft position projection of 32.5 down to 29.5 as sharp steam continues to pound his under as a mid-20s selection. Epenesa is now a -175 favorite to be drafted in the first round at FanDuel sportsbook.
SI Crystal Ball Betting Odds: Offense +110; Defense -140
Epenesa Draft Position Odds Betting: 29.5 (Over -110; Under -110)
24. New Orleans Saints: LB, Patrick Queen, LSU
According to the oddsmakers at DraftKings sportsbook, the Saints are favored to either draft a wide receiver or linebacker with their first-round pick. With Justin Jefferson off the board, the Saints turn their attention to the linebacker position. Queen (6-foot, 225 pounds) produced 85 tackles, 12 tackles for losses, three sacks and an interception for the National Champion LSU Tigers.
SI Crystal Ball Betting Odds: Offense +110; Defense -140
Queen Draft Position Odds Betting: 23.5 (Over -110; Under -110)
25. Minnesota Vikings: WR, Brandon Aiyuk, Arizona State
We have seen the juice flip in regards to Aiyuk’s overall draft position number in Vegas. Previously the over was juiced to -145 on his projection (32.5). However, we now see an adjusted price of -135 in the opposite direction to the under. The oddsmakers continue to see sharp action that one of the true risers in the draft finds his way into the first round. The Vikings traded talented, but often disgruntled wide receiver Stefon Diggs to Buffalo earlier this offseason. With their second selection in the first round, Minnesota drafts the Arizona State star who caught 65 passes for 1,192 yards and eight touchdowns and shined as a return man in 2019.
Aiyuk Draft Position Odds Betting: 32.5 (Over +105; Under -135)
26. Miami Dolphins: S, Xavier McKinney, Alabama
McKinney is a -190 favorite to be drafted ahead of Trevon Diggs (+146) over at FanDuel sportsbook. Regarded as one of the top safeties, the two-year starter at Alabama was highly productive, racking up five interceptions, two TD returns, six sacks, five forced fumbles and 11 tackles for loss over the last two seasons. The comparisons to Earl Thomas make the Dolphins look to McKinney. McKinney will join a defense that was transformed via free agency with the additions of CB Byron Jones and LB Kyle Van Noy. He will fit in nicely in a potentially dominant secondary that also consists of standout cornerback Xavien Howard.
McKinney Draft Position Odds Betting: 24.5 (Over -110; Under -110)
27. Seattle Seahawks: DE, Yetur Gross-Matos, Penn State
The oddsmakers at DraftKings sportsbook list defensive line as the favorite for the Seahawks at No. 27. Gross-Matos is now a prohibitive favorite (-250) to go under his draft position projection number of 27.5. The 6-foot-5, 266-pound edge rusher would be the first Nittany Lion to be selected in the first round since Saquon Barkley went No. 2 overall in 2018. The Seahawks could lose star defensive lineman Jadeveon Clowney to free agency and the talented Nittany Lion helps fill that potential void.
SI Crystal Ball Betting Odds: Offense +135; Defense -180
Gross-Matos Draft Position Odds Betting: 27.5 (Over +160; Under -250)
28. Baltimore Ravens: LB, Zack Baun, Wisconsin
The Ravens are favored to draft a linebacker with their first pick at DraftKings sportsbook. Baltimore enters the 2020 NFL Draft with inside linebacker being one of their most pressing needs. Baun had a 2020 NFL Scouting Combine drug test come back positive for a diluted sample. His draft stock isn't likely to be significantly impacted because the positive test won't count against him under terms of the NFL's new collective bargaining agreement. In 2019, Baun finished among the nation’s leaders with 19.5 tackles for loss and 12.5 sacks. He’s shown the ability to play both in the middle and around the edge as a versatile run stopper and pass rusher.
SI Crystal Ball Betting Odds: Offense +110; Defense -140
Baun Draft Position Odds Betting: 32.5 (Over +105; Under -125)
29. Tennessee Titans: OT, Austin Jackson, USC
The oddsmakers list offensive line as the favorite for the Titans at DraftKings sportsbook. The Titans immediately shore up their offensive line in the first round after losing Jack Conklin in free agency to the Cleveland Browns. Jackson is a great athlete with quick feet and excellent agility. The sharp steam (-210) has begun to take shape in his overall draft position market (29.5) as bettors believe Jackson will be the sixth offensive tackle selected among the first 32.
SI Crystal Ball Betting Odds: Offense -130; Defense +110
Diggs Draft Position Odds Betting: 29.5 (Over +180; Under -210)
30. Green Bay Packers: WR, Tee Higgins, Clemson
The oddsmakers strongly (-285) believe the Packers will look to get Aaron Rodgers some help on the offensive side of the ball in the opening round at FanDuel sportsbook. The oddsmakers have made drafting a wide receiver the clear betting favorite (-105). The former Clemson star fits the betting bill as the best wideout on the board at No. 30.
SI Crystal Ball Betting Odds: Offense -285; Defense +180
Higgins Draft Position Odds Betting: 32.5 (Over +100; Under -120)
31. San Francisco 49ers: CB, A.J. Terrell, Clemson
After landing the much-needed star wideout in Lamb at No. 13, the 49ers now aim to shore up the back end of one of the league’s best defenses. Terrell is now a -270 favorite to be drafted in the first round at FanDuel sportsbook.
Terrell Draft Position Odds Betting: 33.5 (Over +100; Under -125)
32. Kansas City Chiefs: CB, Jeff Gladney, TCU
The oddsmakers at DraftKings strongly (-190) believe the defending Super Bowl champions will look to shore up their secondary with their first-round pick. There’s some steady steam that Gladney will be the final player chosen on Night 1. If this pick comes to fruition, this will mean that no running backs will be drafted in the first round, with the Chiefs passing up on adding Georgia’s D’Andre Swift.
SI Crystal Ball Betting Odds: Offense +120; Defense -190
Gadney Draft Position Odds Betting: 32.5 (Over +115; Under -135)
