A FAE’S BREW TO TAKE YOU AWAY [CHAPTER 23]
Summery: Photography: Taehyung loves it. Specifically he loves film photography. Chapter 22 >> Masterlist << Chapter 23
Taehyung watched nervously as Jungkook climbed back up the hill and just passed his line of vision. Even though he couldn’t see Jungkook well, he could hear fragments of a conversation starting to happen, voices loud and angry.
chirp
chirp
chirp
He jumped at the sound of some strange animal, already too on edge from all that has been happening. Today was such a mess. Y/n moved in his pocket at the strange sounds and when he looked down, he saw her clinging closer to him than before. She must be tired and spooked as well.
“Don’t worry. I will keep you safe and protect you from all that’s happening. How about I find you a place in the woods to hide while all this goes down. No one will see you.” He whispered, hoping that she could hear his sincerity.
chirp
chirp
chirp
The strange animal sounds grew louder as he neared the forest line. Normally, Taehyung might’ve been curious, but today with all that was happening and the pelting down rain, they struck fear in him. Looking around, he was met with an army of frogs… or toads? One of them and it didn’t matter which. They were so vibrant that they stuck out like a sore thumb and Taehyung found him involuntarily leaning closer to try to get a closer look.
He stopped when he felt frantic movement in his pocket and looked down to see Y/n shaking with fear and trying anything to hide from the frogs. Looking them over again, he wondered if they could eat her.
It was that moment of hesitance, of pondering an intrusive thought, that led to even more chaos breaking loose. In her frantic movement, she somehow managed to only rise in Taehyung’s pocket before eventually falling out, a piercing ringing (similar to tinnitus) leaving her small body all through the fall. As if the frogs were waiting for this, they lunged and she ran farther away, leaving Taehyung scrambling after her and the frogs, mud clinging to him while doing so. Yet, despite their size, they were so much faster than Taehyung and he was forced to watch as they got dangerously close to the swelling river. Y/n’s body shook with each harsh gust of wind, Taehyung wincing each time. A particularly harsh gust of wind in combination with a big curtain of rain and she was gone, the river now much larger.
Taehyung’s body froze as his mind raced to try to figure out what had happened. The frogs. The river.
Had they eaten her?
Did the river sweep her away?
Was she still alive?
At some point in his frozeness, the frogs returned and were jumping on him, their slimy bodies rubbing against Taehyung. Their tongues lolled out and were lapping at his pants as well.
Were they trying to attack him?
An angry chuckle left him at that. They’d possibly just eaten Y/n and now they were trying to eat him!?
He shook one off, cringing as they bounced against the ground and started hopping towards him again.
The toads start trying to attack Taehyung with their tongues but that doesn't do much… it itches a little but doesn’t do much. If it wasn’t for the horror of this situation, he just might’ve laughed at a frog licking him and thinking it’ll hurt him. Not as he starts hearing some loud pitched squeal. Not as Hoseok’s voice starts rising above the storm. Not when Y/n is missing and potentially drowning.
Something in the woods flickered bright red.
It sounded like the squeal was coming from that direction.
Taehyung staggered back as the bright red thing flew at him fast and hit him squarely between the eyes. It was definitely the squealing thing he heard and this close to it, the squeals sounded more like tiny screams.
“Screw you!”
“You’re one of the humans who…”
“My Y/n!”
He was able to pick up some of what the screams were saying but couldn’t pay attention to any of them as he tried to dodge the flaming ball of speed and energy that kept bumping into him harshly and the frogs that were still trying to jump on him as well. His legs were shaking and he stumbled many times as he tried to dodge the tiny beings attacking him.
Only… his legs weren’t keeping him up well.
One small misstep into some animal’s abandoned home and he found himself plummeting, searing pain ripping through his body as a scream ripped its way through his body. He couldn’t get up or move his foot. He was stuck and in some of the worst pain of his life.
Next thing he knew though, the only sensation he could still feel was the harsh wind and rain, no flaming red ball or frogs and in the change, he found himself sinking to the floor, tears flowing.
“Are you… ok?”
Taehyung’s head shot up and took in one of the most beautiful people he’d ever seen before. Kind eyes, soft mouth, broad shoulders. He looked sad and worried and Taehyung had no energy to question it.
“I… I… Yes? I don’t know. I… I’m stuck. Can you help me up?”
The man nodded, crouching down and helping him up.
Taehyung came up easily with his help.
And his foot wasn’t stuck.
It had swollen to an angry red blistery color, blood seeping from an open wound… and worse of all, Taehyung saw white.
Bone.
If possible, Taehyung might’ve cried more then but he didn’t have it in him. He didn’t have any energy in him and it seemed the mysterious man didn’t either for after helping Taehyung out of the hole, he set Taehyung down. The man seemed skilled in triage though as he went about gathering materials to cover and support Taehyung’s foot. As he did that, Taehyung looked around and was faced with a fae lying on the ground and unconscious (Taehyung didn’t want to think of the possibility of them being dead). They had scorch marks on their body but overall, looked like they might have been sleeping right now and Taehyung didn’t want to think otherwise.
He had propped himself up on the ground to try to reduce his contact with the muddy ground around him but as the mysterious man elevated and worked on Taehyung’s ankle, all energy seeped out of Taehyung. He rested on the ground and closed his eyes, listening to the sound of louder and louder arguments, angry rain and wind, and the man working. The mud seeped into his shirt and hair, filling every possible crevice it could but Taehyung couldn’t bring himself to care.

First and formost i would like to say that i love the wayhaven games. However after playing three diffrent routes i would like to make my opinion known about 2hat comes next. The following sceens are pure fan fiction and i expect none of it to actually happen but i have hope.
I want the mole in the agency to be an actual mole supernatural and i want them to be unapologelically evil. Like comically so. Like he is so evil no one belives it. Mostly because he is really good at his job and everything he does can be easily explained away so everyone just thinks he is weird. For the sake of the story we are going to have Adam, Nat, Ferah, and Mason. The MC is also a girl.
The sceen starts in book 4 with the MC and co walking through a facility and just happen to pass the mole. Upon seeing the mole the MC stops and just stares at them for a moment. Before calling out to them because they just seem evil.
MC: Your the mole arn't you?
Mole: (sounding super evil) I am a mole yes.
MC: No i mean you are the mole who is leaking info about the agency to our enemies.
Nat: MC! I thought better of you! Just because he is a mole peron does not mean he is a mole.
MC: im sorry but just look at him. He looks comically evil. Like the only way he could look any more evil besides a neon sign pointing at him saying "I'm evil". Would be if he had a handlebar mustach and was twirling it.
Ferah: i mean he does look like a bad guy from cartoons. Talks like them too.
Mole: (sounds proud) Thank you!
Adam: Apperances dont mean anything when your actions speak much more loudly.
MC: Yes, actions. From the way he dresses, talked, stands, HELL even the stale lighting of the facility makes him look evil!
Rebecca: MC... This gentalmen has been a great help with the agency for many years. He has done an admiral job in many fields from reconicance, record keeping, supply transport, and many things in between. You should show more respect to this dutiful agent. Even if his mannerisms seem a bit strange.
Mole: (still sounds evil) You should listen you your mother MC. With my constant assistance everything going on in the agency is going swimmingly. (Evil laugh)
Mason: Let it go MC. We all have beter things to do. Besides if he was the mole that would be stupid. I mean who would trust someone who looks and acts so blatently evil to actually be that open about betraying everyone around them without getting caught?
Ferah: And besides a mole as a mole? A bit on the nose isnt it?
MC: but? (Sighs and points to the mole) Im not forgetting this.
Mole: (smug smile)
Sceen close
Its at this point that the player needs to choose if they let it go or plan to look into the mole more. This choice will be important but wont be touched upon in the same book. In fact it should be left alone until late book 5 or early book 6 when the chamber asks the MC to look into the mole because things are just getting out of hand. Like wayhaven is almost a supernatual capital at this point with 5 or 6 major problems croping up bringing more and more supernaturals to the town to live. Many major operations againt the ageny's enemies like the trappers or the rouges have gone horribly wrong almost like they knew the agency was comming. And several of the great units such as unit Alpha or Victor are just gone or crippled. This is where that choice matters. If you let it go then when the MC investigate the MC will have an aha moment and yell "I called it!". However if you didn't let it go then when the chamber asks the MC to look into it the MC would look at them, tell them to wait, leave, come back like 20 minutes later with a usb, and start giving a powerpoint presentation called "I WAS RIGHT!!!" that is because if you didn't let it go the MC spent a lot of their free time looking for evedince againt this mole. And it works. This next sceen will be taking place in the timeline where the player let it go.
A later sceen will open with with everyone in unit bravo except Rebecca being captured in an anti supernatural cage or something. And the mole having capured them giving a villain monolouge
Mole: (super cocky evil voice)My tresonus plans have layed undiscoved for centuries! (Monologues)
Ferah: How could this have happened?
MC: Because he is evil!
Nat/Ferah: But how did you know that?
MC:....... (says nothing but gives a look that says "Are you F ing kidding me?!")
Mole: (still talking)
Adam: Evil or not we need a plan to get out of here.
Mason: How? all our powers can do jack all while we are in this stupid cage.
Mole: (still gloating)
MC: By buying time for my mother or other agents to get here and help.
Nat: How do you suppose we do that?
MC: (stares at the mole still talking about his plans and actions up to this point) By convincing him to go into more details about what he is saying.
Adam: Do you really think it will work?
Mole: (still talking)
MC: (nods) Just follow my lead. (Caughs loudly) excuse me but can you please go back to when you were talking about WW2? I want more detail of how you helped the rouges in WW2? I'm curious to know how they were connected to the germans?
Mole: (sounds more excitedly evil) Oh that? Thats simple! For you see!.....(goes of on a tangent)
Mason: ...Holy shit that worked.
Ferah: Hopefully Agent Rebecca can save us before he runs out of things to say.
And sceen
This is where your relationship with Rebecca really matters. If your relation is below 30% then she wont save you. She would be sad and doing something else not knowing you are in danger. If its between 30% and 70% she would be gathering forces and or planning to save you solo depending on how good or bad things are. At 71% or higher she is already drop kicking the mole moments after the plan is made while other agents are rushing in to get you out of the trap.
Now once again I would like to say that I expect none of this to happen especially since it seems wayhaven is getting a bit more serious with each book but if even one of these things does happen then I will be happy because that would be hilarious.

Tumblr media
Hi, my names Strawbunni! (Or Strawb for short!)
(Like strawberry bunny🐰)
And this is my about me - some information about who I am and what I wanna post here on Tumblr!
I’ve been on Tumblr for half a year now, (Thanks to my best friend🩷) and the community is amazing! I’ve always been too scared to post or interact with people, but I want to start making friends and building a community of my own.
What will I post?
For now I will just post random thoughts I have, updates on certain celebrities (like new photos being posted, concerts ect.) Maybe some art projects, The Sims 4 content, Royale High stuff and reposting anything I find hilariously funny.
Eventually I want to start writing and posting my own fan fiction! Mostly Stranger Things! (it’s a special interest of mine.) some Supernatural, The Walking dead, POSSIBLY The Last Of Us if I can bring myself to play the game. (I’m too scared.) and a few other TV shows! So feel free to give me suggestions or requests for any fics you’d wanna see in the future, don’t be shy!
What are my interests/hobbies?
My BIGGEST hobby is gaming! As a kid I always played on my mums iPad, or my dad’s PS3, eventually my sister got an Xbox that I started using, and then I eventually got my own laptop! Which then for me into getting my own gaming computer. Here are a list of games I love and currently play! VVV
• Dead By Daylight
• The Sims 4
• VALORANT
• Overwatch
• Roblox
• Disney Dreamlight Valley
• Minecraft
• Resident Evil. (Leon Scott Kennedy😍).
Some other interests I have! VVV STRANGER THINGS! Like I previously said before stranger things is my special interest, i love it with all my heart, my room is CONSUMED by it and my life revolves around it and Steve Harrington. I love collecting funko pops, I have a shelf in my room that’s almost full of funkos! Most of them being stranger things!🤭 I have vinyls of the ST sound track, posters, framed photos, plushes. I recently went to Stranger things: The First Shadow - so I got a lot of merch and momentum’s from that. I also like Supernatual, Riverdale, Heartstopper B99, Dynasty, H20: Just Add Water, And so many more! 🎀 ———————— 🎀
Writing! 📝
I’ve always had a nack for writing and creative stories, that’s why I want to write fan fiction so much, combining two things I love, writing and imagination! Taking a TV show or a game and making it a world that exists and heals people, giving them happiness reading about their favourite characters and feeling a connection with them! It’s helped me through a lot and brings me a happiness I don’t get from anything else, what can I say? I’m delulu🤭. 🎀 ———————— 🎀
Guitar! 🎸
I’m currently learning how to play guitar, my friend is generously giving me free lessons, she’s also let me borrow her acoustic and electric guitar! I 100% prefer electric and want one of my own, I currently know TWO MITSKI songs that I learnt within my first lesson, in 4 hours. I’ve always wanted to learn to play but it looked so hard and I doubted myself, but once I gave it a go I realised I just have to try and keep going, and that beginning lesson was what I needed to jump start this hobby! :) 🎀 ———————— 🎀
Acting! 🎭
I’ve always loved acting, when I was 13 I used to do a lot of roleplay online, it’s not acting but it made me realise that I actually have an interest in that kind of stuff! I’m currently doing a Performing Arts course in college, which is going so well! I’m in the highest level and I got the lead in the Christmas musical! Sadly I had to give the role to someone else because I had too much course work to be able to learn the script in time, but it made me so happy knowing my skills were good enough and that I wasn’t wasting my time! Maybe I’ll get a job working on a movie and Joe Keery will be my characters love interest🤭! A girl can dream, right? 🤷‍♀️
Tumblr media
If you made it this far, thank you for reading and I hope we get along well! Feel free to drop me a message, I don’t bite!😊 I hope that some of you stick around and help me work my way through the community, until next time, bye! 🩷
My bestie: @daryldixonsbub Go follow her! She’s supported me through so much and I absolutely love her to bits🩷
!DISCLAIMER! PHOTOS ARE NOT MINE, I GOT THEM OFF PINTEREST.
And thank you too @arson-fox, ML<3 for helping me edit the photos🐰

Help me find a fic
It’s a Jensen Ackles fic where he and the reader breakup or get divorced. He moves on with a new girlfriend. The reader ends up being at party with him at Jared’s house, possibly a pool party and she gets hurt and put in the hospital and Jensen goes to her.
Anyone familiar with this?

A Box of Donuts: AU CasDean
Castiel works as a baker for an under-staffed bakery.
Dean is the owner of several successful chains of restaurants and hotels.
Dean enters the bakery to pick up an order for a staff meeting that same morning.
SPN Slash
Chapter 1 of what may or may not turn into a short series (That’s the plan for later, but I’m not sure yet).
CASTIEL ~
Castiel pulls into the parking lot of Zach's Bakery at 3:50am. His shift starts in ten minutes and as usual, the manager who has the key to enter the building is nowhere to be seen. Castiel rolls his eyes and pulls out a tattered copy of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, to read by street light. He'd always believed in arriving at least 10 minutes early to any engagement, and didn't understand how anyone could interpret the start time for a work shift to equal the time you pulled into the parking lot. Granted it only cost him a few minutes, Cas figures if he's expected to start a shift at a certain time... He looks out into the street when he hears the sound of a car. Zachariah, the bakery manager, finally pulls into the lot at 4:01am. Castiel gets out of the car.
ZACHARIAH: Good morning! Man, what time do you arrive here? You don't start until 4am, isn't that right?
CASTIEL: It's 4:02am right now, sir. Couldn't you arrive just a few minutes earlier? I can't enter the building without you, for some reason, and I always have to clock in late when I'm actually on time. I don't think it's really fair to me. Zachariah stops on his way to the front door and turns to look at Castiel.
ZACHARIAH: We discussed your negative attitude only yesterday, didn't we? He actually tsk-tsk-tsks. I really hope we don't have to have a little conversation in my office again, unless you'd like that? Castiel's shoulders tense.
CASTIEL: Absolutely not. The last time Zachariah had pulled Cas into his office, Castiel left work angrier about his job than he'd ever been. If it wasn't bad enough that they were breaking about a dozen health codes a day just to “get through the job,” Castiel complained about it on the sales floor and several customers overheard him and reported him to the manager. Zachariah had asked Castiel to step into his office and close the door behind him. Uh-oh, he thought. Guess I'm gonna get my first write up. Castiel hated his job, but couldn't afford to lose it at the same time. However, he was completely blown away by how the meeting had ended....
*****
ZACHARIAH: So, are we clear on this? No talking about what goes on in the kitchen to the customers or around them. Plus, you know you've only been here a few years. I've worked here much longer, and I can assure you that most of your concerns for this business are unwarranted.
CASTIEL: [through gritted teeth] Of course. Thank you sir.. Get me out of this office, now! He imagined the pies in the oven that needed to be pulled out several minutes ago. Hopefully they weren't burnt to a crisp. He stands up to leave.
ZACHARIAH: Oh, uh uh uh. I didn't say we were finished! There's one more thing I wanted to discuss with you before you get back to work. Castiel crosses his arms, waiting for it. It was a write up. He just knew it. Three strikes and you're out. His work was super-old fashioned. But instead, his boss says.. I'm usually good at reading people. I can look at anyone and know exactly what they're thinking and what's happening inside their heads. But when I look at you, I have no idea what's going inside yours. I'm unable to read your mind when I look at you, and that bothers me...
*****
Castiel shudders at the thought, later, when he's in the kitchen topping donuts. He truly hoped he never had to go through that again. While it's understandable to Castiel that it makes sense to be polite to customers, he was never skilled with forcing smiles, faking positive attitudes. Keeping things to yourself was one thing, but acting like you're your own “Good” twin was like some body-snatchers shit. Unfortunately, Castiel had managed to get himself hired at Zach's slash “Stepford Wives” Bakery. If you didn't say good morning to your co-workers save a few, you were talked about behind your back or bullied or pressed to practically make out with your co-workers to make it up to them. Apparently, Zachariah had taken Castiel’s lack of facial expression to mean that something was inherently wrong with him. Castiel sighs as he continues to work in the kitchen. Guess that happens when you’re soulless.
Castiel finishes the last donut for the special order. As was standard, the customer had ordered a variety of pastries, most of which were donuts. Of the eight raised donuts, Castiel had set aside 1 plain and 1 sprinkled chocolate donut, 1 plain and 1 sprinkled vanilla, 1 maple, 1 s'mores donut, 1 salted caramel, and for the final donut....vanilla dyed with red food coloring to mix into a pepto bismal pink with a light sprinkling of rainbow sprinkles on top...the one and only Homer Simpson Donut. A.K.A. Just a vanilla sprinkled donut with less sprinkles. Castiel shook his head as he set up the box with the order. Now, he could finally start working on the donuts for the store.
DEAN ~
It's 7:25am and Dean Winchester pulls into the lot of Zach's Bakery. His meeting not starting until 8:30am, he had plenty of time to pick up the order of pastries for the meeting in addition to maybe grabbing a coffee. There would be a pot ready at the meeting, but the sooner coffee was available to him, the better. He steps out of his car, and makes his way to the front door. Never visiting Zach's Bakery before, he keeps his fingers crossed that they remembered he was coming for his order, today.
Upon entering he sees a small crowd surrounding a case half filled with donuts and other pastries. There is a bakery rack just off to the side with the items that have yet to make it to the case. Customers are split between shopping from the donut case and the bakery rack, and a few are just standing there looking nervous or crabby. An employee with an apron and hair net on is rapidly filling the case, even as customers shop. He looks harried, but it doesn't prevent Dean from noticing his dark hair and bright blue eyes. Or that whenever he would reach up to the higher shelves, his muscles flexed through his uniform. Dean didn't realize working at a place that sold so many sweets acted as an opportunity for so much exercise at the same time. The way the employee was filling the case, he may as well have been working out right in front of him. Apparently the job necessitated bending down a lot. Dean's throat went dry as he noticed the employees pant legs tighten around his thighs, as he crouched.
CUSTOMER: Come on! Put in the croissants already! Shouldn't those always go in first?! I want to leave. You're making me late to work, again. The employee stops filling the case to face the customer.
CASTIEL: Sir, as I've told you before, you are free to shop off of this bakery rack. If I didn't want you to buy these items, I would've kept it in the kitchen. The customer angrily takes a tissue paper from the box and a wax paper bag and pulls out the tray for his croissant.
CUSTOMER: You should be fired. You're never on time. Why aren't these items in the case before you open?
CASTIEL: Because when we get additional orders for pick up at the same time the donuts need to be filled, we don't get additional time for the additional work or additional staff for it. I'm sorry they're out late today, but they aren't unavailable to you. You are free to shop off the bakery rack if it's out on the floor. I've told you multiple times, sir.
CUSTOMER: You're hopeless. You suck at your job and probably don't even work hard. Get here earlier.
CASTIEL: Than 4am?! The customers all turn to look at him. Castiel blushes. Having plenty left to say, but not wanting to get fired (just yet), he rapidly finishes putting the donuts in the case and starts to move away when Dean approaches him.
DEAN: Hey! Sorry to bother you, but I'm here to pick up a pastry order under the name of Winchester? I hope I'm not late. Castiel turns to face Dean and his heart skips a beat. He's never seen someone that attractive in his life. He tries to hide his admiration, though.
CASTIEL: Yes, I have your order ready for you. Will you wait a moment please? Dean nods as Castiel speed walks to the kitchen. The other customers start to line up to check out with the red haired employee at the counter. He can hear the Croissant guy reporting Castiel's attrocious behavior. The girl at the counter gives him a fake smile and pretends to agree with him. Good for her. Dean thinks. Castiel comes back with his order and a label to scan. Thanks. I hope the selection's alright. The request just said a variety of pastries. There are donuts mostly, but also a muffin, a croissant, a turn..The croissant customer turns on Castiel, just as he's about to leave.
CUSTOMER: Hey! When were those croissants made? Was it before the ones I just bought? I want the ones he's getting. Both Dean and Cas turn to look at him as if the man were nuts.
CASTIEL: Sir! They're the same product. The only difference is that these croissants came out of the oven an hour before the one's you just bought. Technically, yours are fresher. Then to Dean Sorry about that, but we do things in a certain order, and it was more efficient that way. They were still made this morning...
CUSTOMER: If mine are fresher, why aren't they hot?!
DEAN: That's because they've cooled down, sir. Castiel and Charlie the cashier can't help but snort. Castiel tries to hide his smile, when the customer's cheeks turn red. He's too choked to say anything else, so he just leaves. You two have to go through this every morning?
CHARLIE: Just most. Usually, people don't have time to be bitches because they're really late for work. Let me ring those up for you. It's Winchester, right? Dean nods. Castiel thanks him for coming, and Dean thanks both him and Charlie for having his order ready for him. He starts to leave and then turns around calling to Cas.
DEAN: Hey! Cas stops to turn around. Dean realized he didn't really have anything to say, he just wanted another opportunity to look at the baker with the blue eyes. Er, I'm Dean, by the way. Didn't catch your name. Castiel smiles. He can't remember the last time someone gave him a reason to genuinely smile at work.
CASTIEL: It's Castiel. This is Charlie. Charlie gives a half wave with a secret grin on her face. She raises an eyebrow at Dean and nods towards Castiel. Dean hopes Castiel doesn't notice. And, I know your name already. I've been staring at an order form with your name on it for the past three hours. Dean furrows his brows. Um, I get anxious when it comes to being on time. I just wanted to make sure I was on time with the order for your pick up. I hung the order form so it was in a place I would have to look in accordance to what I was doing in the kitchen all morning. It kept me company. Castiel blushes slightly. Thanks for coming, Mr. Winchester.
DEAN: Call me Dean, please.
CASTIEL: Dean. The feel of Dean’s name on his tongue causes Castiel to bite his lower lip and then it’s Dean’s turn to blush.
CASTIEL~
Finally, Dean leaves and Castiel lets out a deep breath. The donut case is half empty, after having been filled just minutes ago. Castiel takes out a notepad and pen from his apron pockets and starts to write down the flavors and items that have cleared first, the ones remaining. Hopefully he would have time to make more in addition to all of his other tasks. What a lot of customers didn't realize was that he was the only one working for the next several hours, from the kitchen. But he was also responsible for merchandising, taking orders, cleaning the kitchen, refilling products, etc. He goes behind the counter and sits on a stool, next to Charlie. Charlie stares at him with a knowing smile.
CASTIEL: What's your problem?
CHARLIE: He was into you. I could tell.. Castiel rolls his eyes. Cas, I actually saw him look you up and down. I think he's gay.
CASTIEL: Or he could be Bi. Though I doubt if he's interested in me. Charlie shook her head.
CHARLIE: I'm not gonna go into trying to boost your self-esteem, again. Just saying, he was checking you out. He even defended you with Croissant Guy. If he comes in again, you'd better give him your number. If you don't, I will. Castiel looks mortified.
CASTIEL: Charlie, please! No! Don't you ever think maybe I like being single? He's not interested anyway. I'm not the boyfriend type, so please let it go. Charlie looks taken aback, and Castiel sighs. It's not that I don't appreciate you caring for me. But it's really true. Not everyone has to find the love of their life and live happily ever after. It's just...I mean, it's fine. I wouldn't have time with two jobs anyway. And Don Quiote has been sitting by my bedside for what feels like a million years. Dating isn't really an option for me, at all. I don’t have time for it. Castiel tries to offer Charlie a small smile. She was the one employee at the bakery he was grateful for. If not for her, he would've quit a week into the job. Besides, Dean's probably forgotten about me already. He may not ever come back.
DEAN~
The donuts Dean brought to the meeting were a huge success. There was even a Homer Simpson donut! All through-out the meeting, Dean couldn't stop thinking about the baker with the blue eyes. Even his name seemed like something out of a dream..Castiel. He couldn't wait for the excuse to go back. Maybe he'd be lucky enough to get the guy's number. At first he couldn't really place if Castiel might be gay or not, but the way he looked at him as he left.... The adorable blush that had spread over his cheeks.... And God, that smile. Something told Dean that he had had something to do with that and it made him damn proud. Long after the donut box was discarded, the work day over, Dean lay in bed deciding he'd go back the next morning with the hopes that Castiel would be there, again. Guess he was going to put in a lot of orders for a box of donuts at Zach’s Bakery.

Life So Far, part 5
So this is the longest bit of the story, but the most important so don’t lose interest?
Part 1
Part 2
Part 3
Part 4
Warnings: Language, violence, major character death
Word count: 3703
Castiel hadn’t thought about Cal in 8 years.
After awhile it became easy. He would punish himself if his mind started to move toward her.
He traveled, helped people when they needed it. Eventually he zeroed in on Fray Harris. He was a Warlock in Allagash, Maine who practiced white magic, healer’s magic. He helped him once with an accidentally summoned demon, and decided to stick around.
Fray was handsome and talented. Castiel didn’t feel uncomfortable around him, or stupid. Fray acted like he did. Both of them were in the world, but neither felt a part of it.
They got used to each other. Fray eventually let Castiel stay in his basement. He got a job to help support them. He worked in a local used book store. It was a good environment for him. The serenity, and musty feel of the books reminded him of a better time in Heaven.
Fray would bring him lunch, drop him off, pick him up. For all intents and purposes he was his family.
Castiel and Fray rarely spoke. They were just sort of aware of each other.
Immediately, they could understand each other’s expressions, though they rarely left anything unsaid.
After awhile Castiel grew to love Fray Harris. HE loved him as well, but neither of them could ever say it. Heartbreak was a nasty thing.
Castiel awoke, feeling uneasy, but not knowing why. This same morning, Cal Maclaughlin and Dean Winchester would set out to find their kidnapped daughter. He dismissed the feeling and got out of bed. He looked at the clock and realized it was his turn to make breakfast.
He got to the kitchen and started to cook just moments before Fray came downstairs in his sweatpants and t-shirt. His wavy blonde hair was sticking up in every direction, and his glasses sat slightly askew on his nose. His glasses enlarged his dark brown eyes, which was his best feature, in Cass’ opinion.
     “You look nice, Fray,”
“Thank you, Castiel. What are you making today?”
     “Something with eggs.”
Fray gave a breathy laugh which made the angel smile. Though Fray and Castiel were very much alike, Fray was more laid back. It helped Castiel even out.
“Anything special happening at the book-store today?”
“Tanya Jones is dropping off a donation today.”
The room was suddenly very tense. Fray was extremely jealous of Tanya. She was very flirtatious with Castiel. That, and the fact that Fray didn’t know if his roommate was gay resulted in him feeling jilted every time she was brought up.
Castiel was completely in love with Fray, and if he was open about that, neither men would feel so poorly.
Cal and Dean were walking down the beach with the daughter, Mary. The sand had always gotten on Dean’s nerves but Mary and Cal loved nothing more than building castles and playing in the surf. He couldn’t imagine anything better than seeing how happy they were.
This was something they all really needed after the last few months.
After a few months, Cass completely forgot about waking up feeling uneasy, but it happened just in time for him to wake up with a knot in his stomach again.
Fray was making breakfast when Castiel came upstairs, and Cass made his seat at the table.
“You want eggs and bacon, or just eggs?”
     “Just eggs,”
Fray turned towards the table with the skillet, revealing his unbuttoned shirt, and bare chest.
     Castiel’s breath hitched.
     “Are you alright?”
     Both men blushed profusely.
Fray, for the hundredth time, wondered if Castiel was blushing because of him. Fray was not toned. He wasn’t overweight but he wasn’t a beefcake by any definition. He had a nice face, but he wasn’t notably attractive. He couldn’t understand why Castiel stuck around. Castiel was kind, considerate, smart, socially awkward along with being handsome. Fray was finally comfortable with a guy.
Mary loved it when Dean let her hold onto his shoulders when he swam. Of course, Dean continued to tire, but Mary never did.
Cal played with them as well, but Mary was a daddy’s girl.
“Watch her like a hawk, baby. I gotta go to the bathroom,”
He nodded, floating with his dark-haired little girl. She was by far the most beautiful thing he had ever seen. Nothing could compare to her.
Suddenly, Dean thought he saw someone in the shadow of a tree that he recognized. He stiffened and pulled Mary closer.
     “What’s wrong, daddy?”
“Nothing, sweetie. Daddy just saw an old friend.” He looked back to the shadow, but it was gone.
“Was it Uncle Sam?” She asked excitedly.
     “No, honey,”
Dean spotted Cal on the beach, waving frantically for him to get out of the water. He started toward the beach, Mary still squeezed tightly in his arms.
     “We have to go, Dean.”
“I agree.” The family set off to the parking lot.
Cal’s blue truck was parked fairly close to where they were swimming, but it felt too far.
“This was a bad idea.” Cal said breathlessly.
“She swung open the back door and Dean jumped in with Mary. Cal got into the drivers seat and hurried out to the road. “Did you see her?”
Dean made eye-contact with his wife in the rear-view mirror. He nodded.
“Damn it!” Cal hit the steering wheel. “I wished…” Her voice cracked.
Dean knew what she meant, and he wouldn’t force her to say it out loud. She wished she had been imaging things. She wished she could have gone the rest of her life without seeing her sister again.
                                                     8 years earlier
Dean couldn’t move. He just stared at Cal cradling her bloody son. He had failed. His soul ached, but whatever he was feeling was nothing compared to what Cal felt. Her son… her only son. The first person she loved.
It wasn’t real. He couldn’t be dead. It was impossible. He still had to grow up, learn how to shoot a gun, find a nice partner and keep hunting. How could he not experience those things? How could it end so quickly?
     Her baby…
She silently asked God how he could take her baby away. How could he let such a young and innocent life end?
Dean wanted to move forward and take the child away; bury him properly. He knew it would be better that way. He stepped forward. “Cal, we should bury him.”
“He’s not dead!” She sobbed. “He can’t be.”
Dean kneeled down next to her. His eyes fixed on James’ big blue ones. He attributed the eyes to James’s father. He brought his hand forward and closed them.
Cal’s cries continued to quiet until her body was just trembling. “Not gone. Not yet.”
Dean’s eyes clouded over with tears. “I’m sorry, Cal. I didn’t move fast enough. It’s my fault.”
Cal looked up at him. She still trembled with sobs and her tears still washed her cheeks, but her motherly instinct took over. “Dean it wasn’t your fault. I knew Emile was close to breaking, and I didn’t do anything to stop it.”
     “Where did she go?”
     “I don’t fucking know, Dean.”
The older Winchester stood and set off to find a shovel.
                                                      Present time
In the back seat of Cal’s light blue Ford F-250 Dean cradled Mary in his arms. His daughter had fallen asleep as soon as they got into the car.
“It’s my fault.” Dean whispered. “I didn’t track her down and now-”
“Dean, shut the hell up! Do you think I give two fucks about you right now? That bitch killed my son and now there’s the possibility  she could kill my daughter. Maybe it’s your fault, maybe it’s not. Baby, I really can’t think about that right now.”
Dean nodded. He too was worried about Mary’s safety. It was only a few months before that she was kidnapped.
“Wait. Cal, what if Emile was behind it?”
     “Behind what, Dean?”
“All those vamps taking Mary. What if Emile was behind it? The warehouse was near where you used to live right? So what if she wanted to get close to you or something?”
“That little bitch.” Cal muttered. “If you’re right… oh, God, Dean. What if she’s been watching us this whole time?”
“Hello,” Fray walked into the bookstore where Castiel worked, carrying his lunch with him.
“Did you bring extra food?” Castiel asked, noting the amount of food Fray had as opposed to other lunches he had provided.
“I thought I could join you today.”
They sat in silence, eating their sandwiches and salad.
“Do you like Tanya?” Fray asked quietly.
“No. Why on earth would you ask that?” Castiel made unrelenting eye contact with his companion. Cal’s face flashed in his mind, making him feel off balance.
     “Do you… like… anyone?”
Cass looked away. “That is a childish question.” His heart pounded. Memories that he had repressed for over eight years suddenly came flooding back.
                                                    13 years earlier
Cal Maclaughlin sat in her motel room drinking. She was 6 shots and 4 beers into the night without any sign of stopping.
“Getting drunk every night is not healthy.”
Cal turned sharply toward the voice. An attractive man in a trench coat stood next to her bed. “Who the fuck are you, and why are you in my room?”
“My name is Castiel. I’m an angel of the Lord.”
Cal laughed and stood unsteadily. “Oh yeah? Well, I’m Mickey Mouse.”
“You are not a mouse. That is a drunken delusion.”
“What the hell? I’m a human just like you. And you need to leave.”
     “I’m an angel.”
Cal rolled her eyes, which almost caused her to fall over. “Get the fuck out of my room.”
“I need to speak with you Calista Maclaughlin. It is important.”
Cal stepped forward, suddenly intrigued. “What?”
Castiel stared into her eyes. Now that he was being housed by a human he felt things that didn’t make sense to him. His stomach was tying into knots, his heart was racing, his palms were sweaty. “I…” He cleared his throat. “I am an angel. I have been watching you and your siblings for some time now.”
                                                       Present time
Cal pulled into her drive-way, wary for the first time since living in that house.
She got out of the truck, a gun at her side, and opened the back door for her husband. They hurried inside and up the stairs to the master bedroom. Once the door was locked and Mary was tucked into bed, Cal pulled Dean over to the corner. “We need to get ready. We can lock Mary in the bathroom, and defend the house if Emile shows up.”
“I know. I’m going to call Sam.”
     “He won’t come.”
Dean pulled out his phone and hit speed dial 2.
     Sam picked up. “Dean?”
     “Sammy?”
     “Why are you calling me?”
“I need help. There are vamp-”
“Fuck you, Dean. Handle it yourself. You have no right to be asking me for help. Not after what happened with Leah. Call someone else in, but don’t even try and manipulate me like this. Lose this number.” He hung up.
Dean called back, not expecting Sam to answer this time, and left a message.
“Dean, we might not live through this.” Cal muttered.
     “I know.”
“I have to tell you something.”
                                                   13 years earlier
“So, you’re telling me… that my sister’s a vampire?”
     “Yes.”
Cal sat on her bed while Castiel stood stiffly in front of her.
“And you know this because you’re an angel who stalks me and my family.”
     “I observe.”
It took Cal a few minutes to wrap her drunken mind around it. She had been a hunter her whole life, she was raised in it, but never had she heard of angels. She could believe this guy was stalking her family, hell, she could even believe her sister was a vamp, but an angel?
     That was too much.
“I just can’t believe you, Cass.” Cal said. “Honestly, I’m so drunk right now I could believe anything but…”
Castiel reached forward and put his palm on Cal’s forehead. Her fuzzy mind was cleared. She wasn’t drunk anymore.
“How did you do that?” Cal asked with fear.
     “I’m an angel.”
     “Okay, so you’re a witch.”
Castiel scrunched his eyebrows. “I said angel.”
“Angels do not exist!” Cal yelled. “There’s no way!”
Castiel sighed, feeling exasperated which was another new emotion.
“Do something a witch can’t do.” Cal scooted back on her bed. “and maybe I’ll believe you.”
Castiel moved forward and offered his hand. Cal accepted it and immediately was no longer in her room. She looked around and tried to figure out her surroundings. She was on top of a building surrounded by bright lights.
     “We are in Tokyo.”
Cal looked at the foreign signs and realized that she was. She was in Tokyo.
Just as fast as she got there, she was back in her motel room. Castiel let go of her hand.
Cal stared at him in awe. “I believe you. You’re an angel. Why did you come all this way to tell me my sister’s a blood sucker?”
Castiel couldn’t find the words to answer. He wasn’t sure why he had always been attached to Calista. He watched her from Heaven as much as he could. Then a few weeks ago he was sent to speak with Dean Winchester. That was when he started planning a visit to wherever Cal was.
                                                      Present time
Fray sat quietly in his living room while Castiel showered. He was feeling a little heartsick. Yes, asking if Castiel ‘liked’ anyone was childish but if he felt about Fray the way Fray felt about him he would say so, right?
He heard the shower turn off and decided he couldn’t handle a conversation with Cass yet. He stood and walked out the door, planning on being back soon.
                                                   13 years earlier
Cal laughed. “I am not important to God’s plan.”
She wasn’t, but it was the only reason Castiel could thing of. “Yes, you are. And God doesn’t want your sister’s condition to hinder that.”
Calista stepped up to Cass. She was short so she had to look up, but their faces were only a few inches apart.
“You definitely have the face of an angel.”
“This is a human vessel, not my true form.”
“Ya know, unlike other hunters, I have a kind of checklist that I have for monsters.”
Castiel knew about the checklist. Cal wanted to sleep with every kind of monster she could. It was something Castiel found distasteful.
“I haven’t been with an angel.” She smirked.
Cass scrunched his eyebrows. “It is late. You are not thinking clearly.”
“Maybe not.” She put her hands on Cass’ torso, running them up to his chest. “But I don’t really care.” She grabbed his tie and pulled him down to her level. A tiny voice in her mind told her to stop but she blocked it out.
“I have not had human relations.”
“Don’t worry, baby,” Cal kissed him softly. “I’ll go easy on you.”
                                                      Present time
“What?” Dean asked in disbelief.
“James was Castiel’s son.” Calsaid shakily.
     “Did Cass know?”
Cal shrugged. “I never told him. It was his first time and we didn’t know each other. I was young and promiscuous. I didn’t know how to handle it. I mean he was an all knowing angel so maybe he knew but he never said anything.”
Dean clenched and loosened his jaw. “Did James know his daddy was an angel?”
Cal stared at her husband sadly. “I’m sorry, Dean. But if we die…” I didn’t want anything left secret between us. I love you.”
Dean wrapped Cal up in his arms and looked over at Mary. “You shouldn’t be sorry and we should be ready… so we don’t die.” He smiled wryly.
Together they went to the next room over and unloaded their weapons.
Cal heard noise outside and looked out the window. Emile and 8 others were standing on the front lawn.
     “Damn.”
“Fray, answer your phone!” Castiel’s roommate wasn’t answering his phone. Cass had stepped out of the shower and suddenly everything felt off.
While in the shower thought, things hadn’t exactly felt right. All the memories of Calista left him feeling angry and sad. For years he had longed to hold her like he had on the night of their first meeting. He wanted her to look at him with longing and admiration again.
5 years of painful encounters was 5 years too many.
He hadn’t thought about Calista in so long he had forgotten what it felt like. He had forgotten that kind of pain.
Now, Fray had disappeared. He partly wondered if he had left him. It wouldn’t be the first time someone he loved ditched him. Fray probably found something better, like Cal did with Dean.
Castiel closed his eyes and focused on Fray’s soul. With enough concentration he could appear beside him. He opened his eyes and saw Fray sitting on a park bench in their favorite park.
He looked up and they made eye contact. “How did you know where I was?”
Castiel moved closer and sat down. “I’m an angel.”
Fray nodded. “I’m going to leave.”
“Are you sure? I mean if you need a vacation that’s up to you. I’d keep the house looking nice.”
“Castiel… I’m moving. I’ve been thinking about it, and I would probably get better business in a bigger town. I don’t want you to come with me.”
“Why?” Castiel felt his eyes start to tear up and looked away.
“Because you and I are on different pages.”
Castiel nodded. What they didn’t know was that they both misunderstood. Castiel thought Fray didn’t love him so he was leaving. Fray though Castiel didn’t love him so he was running because he couldn’t find any other solution.
Fray stood. “I’ll see ya around, Cassy.”
Castiel’s stomach churned and his heart fluttered. Somehow being called Cassy made his problems seem smaller, easier.
“I’m sorry,” Castiel said breathlessly, his eyes never leaving Fray, wanting to memorize every bit of him.
     “Me too.”
Emile and her gang stared up at Cal and Dean. Cal felt darkness settling in her heart. Nothing good could come of this.
“Let’s go.” Dean beckoned for Cal to follow him and they went downstairs.
They stood at the front door. Dean had his hand on the lock. “You ready?”
     “As I’ll every be, baby.”
He opened the door and Cal charged out with her sword. A vamp was right at the door and she was able to kill it. Dean killed the next but the rest hung back in a group. Dean closed the door.
“What do you want, Emile? Why can’t you just move on with your life?”
“I want that little bastard you and this guy made. For some reason I really hate her.” Emile said with a smile.
Dean and Cal advanced slowly. “You’re not like this.” Cal said softly. “I don’t know why you became this way, but when you were human you weren’t like this.”
Emile whistled and the 7 of them ran toward the couple. The first three fell, but a pair of claws caught Dean in the throat.
“No!” Cal screamed. The distraction let another vamp claw Cal’s stomach.
The couple continued to try and fight. Dean’s vision was blurring, he could feel his own blood soaking his shirt. He could see Cal staggered, trying to hold in her intestines.
Dean collapsed, choking on his blood.
Emile’s laughter echoed in Cal’s ears. Her sister sauntered forward and smiled at her. “You ready to die, kiddo? Then I can get that daughter of yours.”
Cal’s energy surged and she moved forward. She swung her sword, and finally, finally, finally, Emile’s head fell. The vampires watched their leader fall and stood dumbly for a few moments, which allowed Cal to move back toward her husband. She collapsed next to him.
Her head turned to his. “Dean? Baby?”
His green eyes were glassy, and Cal turned away. She closed her eyes as the vampires came toward her. She called out to Castiel and asked him to save her daughter.
Two of the vampires entered the house to find Mary while the other was sent to finish off Cal.
As Cal’s vision faded she saw Dean smiling. “Come on. Follow me. She’ll be okay.”
Fray changed his mind almost immediately. So Castiel didn’t love him; he was still his best friend. They were family if not anything else.
He tried calling him a few times but he wasn’t answering.
Sitting in his bedroom, he realized he had lost him. Maybe forever.
So Fray decided to get drunk. He bought two six packs and listened to his favorite angry music. He was in the middle of Angry Heart by Black Sabbath when the music stopped. He looked over to the stereo and saw Castiel holding a young girl.
“You’re not real. You’re just a drunken hallucination. Not real. Don’t love me. Don’t want me.” Fray collapsed on the bed and started crying.
Castiel set the girl on the recliner in the corner and laid down on the bed next to the love of his life. “They’re gone.” He muttered. “I’ve been feeling it coming for months, but now its happened. They’re gone. Not coming back.”
Castiel stared into Fray’s brown eyes. They were so much kinder than Cal’s eyes. Cal’s were cold and calculating, which was fine for Dean, but Fray… Fray was Castiel’s other half.
     “I want Cassy.”
      “I’m here, Fray.”
“I want Cassy… and a family. I want him to love me,”
“Is he okay?” A small voice asked.
Castiel turned to see Mary standing nearby. Her little hands were wrapped together across her stomach. Her dark curly hair was sticking up in all directions after sleeping.
“No. He’s sad.” Castiel himself had tears dripped down his face.
“Are you sad too?” Mary asked.
     “Yes, I am”
“Where are my mommy and daddy?”
Castiel looked at the floor. “They’re gone. You won’t see them again.”
Mary started to cry, so Cass picked her up. He set her down between him and Fray and together they all three cried.

Pandora’s Box Part 3 (Dean Winchester x reader AU)
Read Parts 1 & 2 here!
Note: So I know this story isn’t getting like any notes right now but I don’t care cause this is my favorite story right now. I feel like I understand Dean so well and so much better than Michael Langdon so writing him is just so much easier, the story just flows. Anyway, some drama actually happens in this chapter. Originally, I really liked the whole fluffy aspect but I had this idea for the reader to go through a trauma to bring them closer and I personally love this chapter!
Warnings: violence, guns, robbery, trauma, ptsd, this one gets pretty dark but happy ending, I promise!
Tumblr media
(gif isn’t mine, found on google. credit to the owner!)
For the next few days you and Dean spent your days texting each other nonstop. It was a mix between strictly friendly and also a bit flirty. Every time you heard your phone ding or felt it vibrate in your pocket you couldn’t help the butterflies you felt in your stomach or your heart beating out of your chest. Conversations with Dean just seemed to flow and there was never a dull moment between the two of you.
Charlie was still gone for the weekend when you were about to close up the shop for the day. You’d been fairly busy throughout the day, your few employees coming very in handy for days like these. You’d tried to message Dean as much as you could while you were there but you were trying to concentrate on working so you two didn’t talk much that day. It was finally the end of the day, the store cleared out, and you sent all your employees home right before you locked the doors. Your phone dinged and you checked and saw a message from Dean. He made some pun about his favorite flavor of pie and it made you giggle and blush. You were distractedly staring down at your phone, too caught up in Dean that you didn’t hear the bell on the door ding, indicating someone had walked in.
Next thing you knew you heard a gun cock and heard in a threatening voice, “Hands up and get down on the ground. This is a robbery, don’t try to be a hero, or I will shoot you.”
Your entire body suddenly froze up out of fear. This couldn’t be real, stuff like this only happened on TV, it couldn’t be happening to you. Terrified for your life, you slowly raised your hands above your head, but not before stealthily sicking your phone down the front of your pants. You slowly kneeled down onto the ground, doing as the intruder asked.
“Good. Now give me the keys to the safe.” he demanded from behind you.
I-I don’t have them on me, they’re in the office.” you sputtered out.
“Alright you’re coming with me.” the man dragged you by the arm making you lead the way to the back office. Once there you grabbed the keys off a hook before holding them out for him.
“Where’s the safe?” he asked.
“O-o-out front. Under the register.” you stuttered.
“Stay. Put.” he growled at you, forcing your knees back to the ground. As soon as he walked out the office you quickly pulled our your phone, slightly hiding behind the desk in case he walked back in. You just sent a quick text knowing you didn’t have much time.
“Call 911. Robbery at the shop.” you texted to Dean. You quickly double checked the phone was on silent before shoving it back into the front of your pants. You could hear loud footsteps approaching the room as you made sure to look exactly as you did before he left. The man seemed satisfied and pulled you back up to lead you back out into the store. The man pulled a chair over from one of the tables in the store and forced you to sit down. He pulled out some items from a duffel bag that absolutely terrified you. He had a rope in one hand and a bag in the other.
“As much as I’ve enjoyed our time tonight sweetheart, it’s time we parted ways.” he joked darkly at you. He tied both your hands behind you before tying them to the chair. Right as he was about to place the bag over your head the door jingled again.
“FBI! Stop what you’re doing asshole. We got you, it’s all over.” Dean currently had a gun pointed at your assailant. You were thankful for his quick response but also worried seeing as the cops hadn’t showed up yet. It was one versus one.
“Yeah right, you don’t scare me, pretty boy.” he scoffed. The man turned back to you to put the bag on your head when you suddenly heard a gunshot. You looked at the man in horror, not yet processing what had happened. You almost thought the man had shot you but in fact Dean shot him in the leg, causing him to collapse to the ground. Dean quickly approached the man, turning him onto his back, pulling his hands behind him to handcuff him.
Just as Dean was about to untie you the cops pulled up in full force. Dean quickly put away his gun and untied you from the chair, then he pulled out what you assumed was his FBI badge. The cops ran in, guns raised, ready to shoot on sight. Dean had his hands in the air holding his open badge in one hand so they knew he wasn’t the threat.
Once the cops inspected his badge and took in the state of the handcuffed man on the ground they quickly put away their handguns and took action taking care of the criminal. Once Dean was in the clear, he practically ran back over to you, worry etching his every feature as he embraced you.
“Oh my god sweetheart, thank god you’re alright. That text gave me a heart attack, I was so worried I was too late.” he said as he crushed you to his chest. You couldn’t speak you were still in shock as you sobbed into Dean’s shoulder.
“It’s all ok now sweetheart, it’s gonna be ok. I’m here, I’ve got you. I’m not letting you out of my sight.” he promised. After a few minutes of wailing and balling your eyes out, you pulled away and looked Dean in the eyes. He looked heart broken at seeing the state you were in. Dean put his hands to the sides of your faces, his thumbs wiping away the tears.
“So the police are gonna want a statement. We can do it now to get it over with, but if you’re not up for it I can tell them to wait. And then once we can leave we’re going back to your place, I’ll make you some soup, get you some water. We’ll get you into the comfiest pajamas you own and I’ll stay up all night keeping watch. Sound good, sweetheart?” The fact he was so willing to help you only confirmed your feelings for him. But right now you were just grateful for his friendship and his kindness.
You managed to nod your head telling him you approved of his plan. It took you a second but you grabbed his hands and managed to tell Dean, “T-T-Thank you.”
“Oh sweetheart, you don’t have to thank me, it’s my job but I’m pretty sure I’d do anything for you.” his confession made your cheeks heat up a tiny bit underneath all the trauma you were currently experiencing. The cops came over then and with Dean’s help you managed to give them a statement. After that, Dean helped you get outside where they had an ambulance parked outside. Dean helped you to get in so the paramedics could check you out before letting you go. The paramedics prescribed you something to help you sleep at night, but seeing as it was already night, you wouldn’t be getting the medicine until tomorrow. After the paramedics okay-ed you, Dean took you to his car and placed you in the passenger seat. Luckily Dean still remembered where you lived so you didn’t have to find the will to talk to tell him directions. Once you arrived, Dean parked on the street and came to open the door for you. Dean surprised you by pulling you out and carrying you all the way up to your apartment.
“Keys?” he simply asked once you reached the door. You pulled them out of your jean’s pocket before handing them to Dean. Somehow, Dean managed to unlock the door while holding you in his arms. Once unlocked, he kicked the door closed, and walked a few feet into the apartment before setting you down. Once he did he turned back around to lock the front door, even dead-bolting it. When he came back to you, he pulled you back into another warm, loving, hug. You buried your face into his chest, inhaling his scent, trying to remember you were safe now, Dean would take care of you. Dean had one hand around you, holding you to him as the other combed through your hair. You both stood like that for several minutes, basking in the safety of each other. Dean finally pulled away, but still holding onto you.
“Now, let’s get you into something comfy. While you change, I’m gonna make you some soup or something light you can eat. And then I want you to go onto Netflix and pick something cheesy and silly for us to watch. Ok?” he was gauging how much you could handle.
You nodded weakly at him. Dean had already done so much he didn’t need to babysit you as you changed and picked out a movie. You managed to make it into your room and change before the anxiety started coming back. Instead of scrolling through Netflix you walked out to the kitchen to wait while Dean cooked for you.
“Hey, now those are some cute pajamas.” Dean complimented you. You blushed, looking down at yourself, already forgetting what you put on. You had on a pair of sleep pants that had cute dogs on them and some over-sized t-shirt that you owned.
“Alright, I found some chicken noodle soup that I made for you. Who doesn’t love chicken noodle? It’s the ultimate classic soup!” Dean bantered on for a minute, trying to lighten the mood. The side of your mouth managed to lift a tiny bit into the air and Dean took that as a success. Dean carried your soup and grabbed you a glass of water as you both went back into your bedroom. He made you sit down, get comfy before he handed you the soup and placed the water beside you. Dean then started taking off his shoes, his jacket, and his flannel before hopping into the other side of the bed. He got under the covers just like you before grabbing the remote.
“Alright, let’s see what we got here, Bridget Jones, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, or we could watch a show, maybe Gilmore Girls, The Office?” Dean suggested.
You were about to shrug and say, ‘You pick.’ when you caught sight of one of your favorite cheesy romance movies.
“Can we watch The Notebook?” you asked.
“Isn’t that sad though? Like don’t they both die in the end like Titanic?” he asked you. You simply looked at him quizzically, not having expected him to be such a chick flick expert.
“What? I’ve seen them, so what? They’re both critically acclaimed.” he defended himself.
“Just put on the movie.” you told him. Dean stuck his tongue out at you before starting the film. You managed to down your soup fairly quickly and half the water, already feeling more normal again. By halfway through the movie you were feeling absolutely exhausted. Crying always wore you out the most. As you started to feel the exhaustion, Dean put his arm around your shoulders before pulling you into him, you resting your head on his shoulder. You didn’t remember much else of the night other than passing out near the end of the movie, comfortably snuggling into Dean. It had been one hell of a night, one you never wanted to relive in a million years, but Dean got you through it. Dean was your guardian angel that night. You already thought Dean was special but now you knew how incredible of a person he was. You’d have to think of a way to thank him once you no longer had PTSD. Maybe if you were feeling brave you could ask him out, and end the night with some home made pie, made just for him. That sounded good as you drifted off to sleep in Dean’s arms.

I Would Like to Address Something
Tumblr media
I've just hit 4.2k followers!
That's so amazing and I'm very proud that there's that many people who enjoy my work enough to follow me, but there's something I'd like to talk about.
About two months ago, I decided to start writing again and came back to this blog after an two year hiatus.
Before that hiatus I wrote for Supernatural under the name //writingsofspn// (someone has now taken that url, I believe it is the same person who tried to take my url by making hers //writtingsofspn// ). I was heavily into the fandom but fell out of it. I changed my name later on to @storiesforall and I'm very happy with it since I'm not tied to a single fandom.
What I'd like to address is that I know a majority of the people who follow this blog are from way back when I wrote for Supernatural. And I want to tell you all that although I have not talked to you all, I love you all and appreciate you all very much.
4.2k is a lot of people. My head doesn't want to comprehend that amount, but here we are!
I love you all and am very pleased to see that you all like my work. I'll try my hardest to be the best writer I can be so that my work will improve.
Much Love,
Maya 💕

The General Audience exists and here’s a personal story from a fandom participant about them. If you take the time to read, thank you and you’re beautiful, if you don’t, hi, you’re beautiful and I hope you have a great day. 🙂
I started watching Supernatural in 2005 when I was 14 years old. I started watching with my brother who was 16.
It became our show immediately. Smallville was our show before that, but this replaced it. We watched it religiously. Went to target and got the dvds to binge as soon as they came out before binging was a thing. Back when Netflix was a dvd delivery system.
He went to college, and I didn’t watch it without him. We waited until the dvd came out for the 6 years we were at the same college together to binge.
We got so drunk finishing season 6 and starting season 7 that when we woke up the next day, we started it again and looked at each other and said “what the fuck is a Leviathin?!” It’s still a running joke with us.
I moved 4,000 miles away during season 9. He met his wife, who was also a Supernatural fan while I was gone. We agreed, it’s okay to watch it without each other as long as we call and talk about it.
So we did. For 6 years we called each other after every episode.
I lost my job because of COVID and moved home in 2020. When I called my big brother to tell him the news, he said, “I’m so sorry. But does this mean we get to watch the end of Supernatural together?”
It did mean that. Together with him and my sister in law, we watched the last 5 episodes of SPN live.
We all three cried harder than I can describe during the finale. The barn scene left us speechless yet sobbing. We got really drunk when it ended and watched Sam and Dean fanvids on YouTube while we drowned our sorrows over the end of our favorite show in bourbon. We all agreed it was tragic and beautiful and perfect.
I’m writing this post to show you that the General Audience (GA) is real. The only time my brother and his wife have heard the term destiel is in the episode Fanfiction. They’ve never heard the term wincest. They have never read fanfiction. They have never tweeted, blogged or posted about SPN. They just enjoy the show as it airs and as they stream.
But that doesn’t lessen the impact Superntural had on their lives. It doesn’t make them lesser fans. They just take the show in as is and love it for what it is. A tragic yet beautiful fictional television show about two codependent brothers that constantly save each other and the world.
To all the toxic (heller) shippers out their doing everything they can to bring down this ending. I hope you know that you are 1% of the viewers, watchers, and lovers of Supernatual. And you do not matter.
Just for the love of god, stay out of the general tags and let me enjoy my goddamn show.

Books Read 2020
I started off really good this year, what with quarantine and all. And then I got sidetracked by reading one hundred and forty-nine fanfics (and counting) (mostly Destiel; CW can kiss my ass).
I read 30 books this year, which I thought was bad, but apparently I only read 24 last year, so not awful. I did the Popsugar reading challenge for the fifth year. There were 50 categories this year, so 60% isn’t too bad. So without further ado, let’s get started under the cut.
1. The Mermaid, The Witch, and the Sea, Maggie Tokuda-Hall (a book that’s published in 2020). This book, y’all. My god. It has it all: pirates, queer relationships, genderfluid characters, an intense plot. This book was so good. I definitely recommend this book. Pirates!!! And gay!
2. Somebody Told Me, by Mia Siegert (a book by a trans or nonbinary author). I don’t know how Siegert identifies, but I know they use they/them pronouns. This book was... okay but frustrating. A bigender teen, Aleks/Alexis, has a traumatic experience and moves in with their aunt and uncle, who is a newly converted Catholic priest. I liked the queer rep, but sometimes it felt like the author had these assumptions or prejudices about the Catholic church. Some of them were right, granted, and I’m not a practicing Catholic anymore so I don’t know why it pissed me off, but it bugged me anyway. So I guess if you don’t mind it seeming like the author did little to no research on Catholicism, then it’s a good book.
3. All the King’s Men, by Nora Sakavic (a bildungsroman). Who, me? Rereading my gay comfort trilogies during quarantine? It’s more likely than you think. Love the All for the Game trilogy. This is the third book in the series. It’s the best book in the trilogy. It is a series about a college sports team who play a made up sport called Exy, which is basically a more violent version of lacrosse. I’m not a huge sports fan, but the way she writes Exy matches had me on the edge of my seat. The team is made up of all “at-risk” students, the main character being a kid on the run from his mob boss dad. Trigger warning for the series for violence, sexual assault/rape, abuse, drug use, I may be missing some things. It was so good though.
4. Captive Prince, by C.S.Pacat (a book with a map). Back again with the gay comfort trilogies. This is the first book in the Captive Prince trilogy, and whoops, did I say love All For the Game? Love this series more. It’s awesome. It’s fantasy and gay and romantic. But the romance isn’t even the central part. Laurent is my favorite asshole. Damen is so sweet and sassy as fuck. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Seriously. I can’t do this series justice.
5. The Foxhole Court, by Nora Sakavic (a book recommended by your favorite blog, vlog, podcast, or online book club). First book in the All for the Game series. What are you still doing here? Go start this trilogy!
6. Ella Enchanted, by Gail Carson Levine (a book that passes the bechdel test). This is such a good book. It was one of my favorite books when I was a kid. It’s basically a retelling of Cinderella, and if you’ve seen the movie version with Anne Hathaway, the book is way, way better.
7. Loki: The God Who Fell to Earth, by Oscar Basaldua (a book with the same title as a movie or TV show but is unrelated to it). God, I cannot WAIT for the Loki show. Anyway, this is a new comic about Loki (obviously). I love anything with my disaster wife in it, so 100% I recommend it.
8. As Drowning Men Clutch at Straws, by EA Roisin (a book by an author with flora or fauna in their name). Okay, so. Roisin is an Irish name that means rose, and EA Roisin is my (unpublished) pen name. In my defense, the manuscript is 186 pages long and it felt like an accomplishment when I finally finished rereading it for the first time since I finished it in 2015. Do I recommend it? I’ll let you know if it ever gets published.
9. Red White and Royal Blue, by Casey McQuiston (a book that won an award in 2019). I’m still rereading this book. I got interrupted because my sister wanted to read it and then I got a new book for my birthday. But this is, far and away, my FAVORITE BOOK. It’s so beautiful. It was very romantic (once they stopped “hating” each other), and gay. The premise sounds far-fetched: First Son of the United States falls for the Crown Prince of England. But, guys, it’s soooo gooooood. Highly, highly, highly recommend.
10. A Beautifully Foolish Endeavor, by Hank Green (a book with only words on the cover, no images or graphics). This is the sequel to An Absolutely Remarkable Thing. This was just as great as the first, but I spent a good chunk of the book vibrating with anxiety. The stakes were way higher, and I don’t think I’ve been scared while reading a book since reading Jade Green (Phyllis Reynolds Naylor) in junior high (which was fucking terrifying, btw). But I definitely recommend it!
11. Crush, by Richard Siken (a book with a pun in the title). Guys. I read this book almost every year, because it’s quick and gorgeous and the title is accurate because it absolutely crushes me. This is a collection of LGBT (more specifically, gay) poetry, and OH MY GOD. This is in my top five favorite books. I read it all the time. This is the book that made me fall in love with poetry, back in high school.
12. The Raven King, by Nora Sakavic (a book with a bird on the cover). The second book in the All for the Game series. Trigger warnings for All the King’s Men apply to this one, too.
13. 1014: Brian Boru, by Morgan Llewelyn (a fiction or nonfiction book about a world leader). If you know me, you know I’m a complete Irish history nerd. This book is about a very important battle that took place in Ireland, and the last great High King of Ireland, Brian Boru. High Kings are mostly just an elected title, who get paid via taxes from provincial kings and chieftains, but Brian was the only one who saw as close to a united, free Ireland as it got until 1921 (although since the island is split between the North and the Republic, it’s still not totally unified). I recommend if you like history.
14. The Magnolia Sword, by Sherry Thomas (a book by a WOC). Oh. My. God. So this is a retelling of the ballad of Mulan. Mulan is a very important story to me anyway (tomboy as a child, genderfluid, bisexual as fuck), and this retelling was so good and interesting. It also features one of my favorite tropes, Surprise Gays. I highly, highly recommend.
15. My Own Ways Through This Life, by Chris Viau (a book with at least a four-star rating on Goodreads). Okay, so it miiiight have a four-star rating because of me and my camp family all rating it, but it counts. This is a mixed media autobiography by one of my camp friends. He has written at least three books, and all are available on Amazon. This is the only one I’ve read so far, and it was really interesting. I definitely recommend it.
16. Insomniac City, by Bill Hayes (a book you meant to read in 2019). This book was beautiful and heartbreaking. It was a Christmas gift from my brother. It’s a memoir about Bill’s time in a relationship with Oliver Sacks, a famous neurologist. It’s sweet and melancholic and funny. Huge recommendation.
17. Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens’ Agenda, by Becky Albertalli (a book about or involving social media). Still such a wonderful book. Better than the movie, I’m telling you. It was really good, and I definitely cried. If you liked the movie, read the book. It’s different in several ways. I think if you’re thinking in terms of trueness to the book, the movie was maybe not as good, but they’re both good as their own standalone things. But I highly recommend both.
18. Loki: Agent of Asgard, by Jason Ewing (a book that has a book on the cover). This is such a good series. It’s a great characterization of my disaster wife.  I love this graphic novel series. I love how they depict Loki, how he finally gets a goddamn redemption arc. It’s a really fun read. Check it out.
19. Kings Rising, by CS Pacat (a book with a made up language). This is pushing it, since they never actually speak in the made up languages on paper. But UGH. Third book in the Captive Prince trilogy, and hands down the best. Laurent and Damen finally let go of the goddamn longing and actually do something about it.
20. The Deep, by Rivers Solomon (a book set in a country beginning with C). This is pushing it, because it’s about mermaids (basically), but I think they’re in the Caribbean. I loved this book. It was so interesting. It’s based on a song by clipping., Daveed Diggs’s group. The premise is the wajinru (the mermaid people) originated as the infants from pregnant Africans that died and were thrown overboard during the slave trade. So like, it’s a pretty heavy book. But it’s heartfelt and sweet, too. Also more Surprise Gays, which came at an excellent time (November, post-Supernatual finale) for me. I highly recommend.
21. Written in the Stars, by Alexandria Bellefleur (a book you picked because the title caught your attention). I just finished this book tonight and it was so. good. It’s basically a modern, lesbian, fake dating rendering of Pride and Prejudice. And let me tell you, if there’s one thing I love more than Pride and Prejudice, it’s lesbians. It’s really really great. I highly, highly recommend.
22. Running with Lions, by Julian Winters (a book with a three-word title). Thanks to All for the Game and movies like Handsome Devil and Boys, I have discovered that I have a huge thing for queer sport stories. So this book was really, really good. It’s got friends to enemies to friends to lovers, which is great. It’s got soccer, which is way more homoerotic now. And it’s got gays, which is really why I picked this book up. But it’s well written and the story is interesting, too. I definitely recommend.
23. The Prince and the Dressmaker, by Jen Wang (a book with a pink cover). Oh my god. AHHHHH!!! This book is amazing. It’s a graphic novel, so it’s a quick read. It’s fantasy and feels a little Cinderella-y, but that’s not the best part. The queer relationship is amazing, but that’s not the best part. The prince is genderfluid! Like me! And his mask name is Sebastian! Like me! (Okay, so my name is Bastien, but close enough) This was so so so good. I got it at a convention in February, and I was practically vibrating with excitement as I read it. I highly highly highly recommend.
24. Girl Crushed, by Katie Heaney (a book by or about a journalist). I think I’d have liked this book better if it wasn’t so...similar to my life. The main premise is the main character is getting over a sudden and painful break up, after being dumped by her long-term (maybe first? I can’t remember) girlfriend. The ex has the same initials as my ex and acted very similarly, so maybe I ended up picturing her when the character came up in the book. The ending pissed me off. It was very gay and that wasn’t the entirety of the book, so maybe you’ll like it more than me. It was just too true to life for me and opened up some old wounds I didn’t want to open up. The author is an editor at Buzzfeed, so that’s how it fits into this category.
25. Date Me, Bryson Keller, by Kevin van Whye (your favorite prompt from a past POPSUGAR Reading Challenge--a book published this year). This might be my second or third favorite book, goddamn it’s that good. It’s queer, obviously, and sort of fake dating? Bryson is dared to date someone new each week. He’s assumed to be straight, so all the people he dates are girls until Kai asks him. It’s really sweet, and there’s some issues with coming out to your family that don’t always sit well with me, but overall it was really good and it ends well. I definitely recommend.
26. Loki: Where Mischief Lies, by Mackenzi Lee (a book written by an author in their 20s). AAAHHHH!!!! Fuckin.... Okay, y’all know I have feelings about Loki. He’s my spouse and I love him to death. This book was so, so good. Loki gets sent to Victorian London to solve a mystery and meets a group of humans who know about Asgard and basically keep Midgard in order for Odin. Loki is canonically pan and genderfluid (as he should be), and Theo is a sweetheart. I wrote a 10k fic coming out of reading this book (Phantom Limb by Irishavalon on AO3, check it out.). I seriously recommend!
27. Because of Winn-Dixie, by Kate DiCamillo (a book by an author who has written more than 20 books). I read this with my third graders at the beginning of this year. Such a good book. I read it as a kid too. The movie is great but as always, book is better. Recommend.
28. Adventures of Charls, the Veretian Cloth Merchant, by CS Pacat (a book with more than 20 letters in its title). This was a reread of a short story that comes after the Captive Prince trilogy. Charls, the cloth merchant, was such a great side character in the CP trilogy, and telling the story from his perspective was great. It doesn’t have to be read after the other CP short stories, but at least the trilogy should be read first.
29. Fence vol.1, by CS Pacat (a book from a series with more than 20 books). I’m pushing it with this category. I read the first volume, but this is a comic book series, so the 20 books is more issues. This is very good too. It’s another gay sports story, and is probably going to be enemies to lovers, but they’re still enemies by the end of volume 1. Still recommend.
30. Prince’s Gambit, by CS Pacat (a book with a main character in their 20s). Book 2 of the Captive Prince trilogy. Very very good.

Imagine Chuck looking through Dean’s computer.... and then asking the oddest question....
Tumblr media
“Tell me Dean, why do you watch this much porn?” Chuck.... or God rather, asked Dean as he stood there in his FBI outfit, his fingers still lingering on the top of his computer.
“Because I can.”
“But have I not matched you with a beautiful woman, who helps satisfy all your earthly needs?”
“What are you talking about?” He asked, forgetting that he was speaking to God.
“I am God remember? I have written how your life will go before you even know what is in store, and I have assigned each human with a mate, maybe even more then one. So tell me, are you unhappy with [Y/N]?”
“No.” Dean replied defensively as Chuck looked at him.
“So why do you do it?”
And honestly, Dean couldn’t think of an answer to it...
