jerejean in tgr really said bring back real YEARNING. jeremy specifically learning marseille french for jean. jean feeling a "gnawing hunger" when he looks at jeremy. jeremy's radiant smile and jean having to look away every time. jean's lips brushing jeremy's cheek at the fireworks. jeremy covering his eyes with his arm when jean leans over him on the bed. jean taking a picture of jeremy laughing with jabberwocky and sending it to renee. jeremy telling jean "you look good". jean pressing his thumb into the bruises that faser left around jeremy's neck. jeremy feeling a "needy heat" in the pit of his stomach when jean compliments him. jean fitting himself against jeremy's side and helping him stand up when he's injured after an exy match. jeremy going up and down every flight of stairs with jean. jean grabbing jeremy's chin and saying, "fuck what i deserve, what about what i want?". jeremy taking off his shirt for jean's attention. jean looking at jeremy and thinking about the rules ("what rules?" Rick Riordan and Nora Sakavic are my two favorite authors, and it's so funny because Rick will have a bajillion amazing books out and then be like:

Rick: Hey guys, I thought of some new adventure for the characters to go on, and it seemed fun, so I'm writing three more books!

And then Nora will be MIA for years, only to one day out of the blue be like:

Nora: Hey guys. Jean's ghost wouldn't stop haunting me until I told his story, so you're getting another book.

Nora, later: Hey guys, bad news. The one book has turned into two books, but it'll ONLY be TWO I'm serious.

Nora, even later, months after book 1: Ok guys. Book two at the end of the year. Don't ask about book three's release date, or else I'll literally combust.

It's so funny because we have so much content from Rick, and he just keeps providing us with more because he's just having fun (and we absolutely love it). Meanwhile, while the story is obviously important and means a lot to Nora, she makes it seem like it's getting dragged out of the depths of her soul, and it keeps getting longer against her will.

The dichotomy is hilarious, and I absolutely love them both.

That’s just a mite bit hecked up,” he tells this new team member. He’s captain of the second-best Exy team, and second only to a college run by the mob. He dyes his hair blond, then relaxes enough to let his roots grow out. He’s adopted a cardboard golden retriever, now a de facto member of the household. He likes ceramics class. When he takes his new housemate shopping, he’ll be damned if he puts him in black and red, but if that’s what he feels safest in, Jeremy would back his decision wholeheartedly.

Jeremy Knox is an English major. “Speaking of playing around,” he says, fishing out a board game—“shall we see what kind of trouble we can get into?”

marisha always falls into this State when vax returns to them – as a revenant, in dalen's closet, in c3e114 – and it hurts so bad. while vex is warm, smiling, hugging him, immediately ready to jump back into spending time with her brother, even if she knows it might not last – keyleth is Terrified (or, as she gets older, Resigned). distant and cautious and hesitant, she needs coaxing and reassurances from people who are real, realer than the man standing in front of her looking at her like that. and she is always watching and waiting for the other shoe to drop. thinking of keyleth paralyzed by a fear of loss for the whole first half of c1 before taking the risk with vax, and vax at the end of everything saying "i know i've confirmed your worst fears." thinking of how every time he is delivered to her it's the same fucking dance. we can be together, until. we can hold hands, until. we can be happy, until. thinking of how many times she can bring herself to do it before she can't anymore
