Captains Draft 4.0: Grupos y horarios anunciados

Como ya les comentamos anteriormente, Captains Draft es un torneo que se realiza desde 2014 y, hasta entonces, era reconocido no sólo por su formato sino también por ser un torneo exclusivamente online.

Ahora que Valve ha tomado participación en la organización de su escena y amoldándose a los requerimientos del Pro Circuit, este torneo contará con la fase de grupos LAN que disfrutarán tanto los jugadores como el público. Y preparando la puesta en escena, hasta anunciaron los talentos que acompañaran la emisión de este torneo.

Esto hace que la emoción por la llegada de este torneo aumente, ya que no sólo será el primer Minor del 2018 sino que además el modo que se juega (Random Draft adaptado) hace que este show sea especial para el público que lo sigue como para jugadores que tienen que amoldarse a un draft acotado y aleatorio, saliéndose un poco del rango de estrategias que están acostumbrados y resurgiendo héroes que no estamos tan acostumbrados a ver en torneos.

En las vísperas de Año Nuevo confirmaron cómo serán los grupos que competirán a partir del 4 de enero. El grupo A consiste de los equipos Team Secret, Mineski, ViCi Gaming y Team Empire, mientras que OG, compLexity Gaming, Evil Geniuses y paiN Gaming darán batalla desde el grupo B.

Aunque se comenta que el orden de los grupos resulta un poco desequilibrado, los equipos que acompañan a Team Secret tienen la satisfacción de saber que nadie será eliminado del torneo durante la fase de grupos. Sino que, el resultado de los grupos ayudará a determinar cómo quedará formado el bracket para los playoffs.

Recordemos que Captains Draft 3.0 celebrado en 2016 consagró a Evil Geniuses como el gran poseedor del título y del premio en dólares que se entregaban por ese entonces. Ahora que hace poco EG anunciaba su reciente desvinculación de Universe y las nuevas incorporaciones y la llamativa rotación de jugadores en sus posiciones, sólo queda esperar a ver si pueden defender el título obtenido.

La fase de grupos se llevará a cabo solamente en el primer día de competencias, el 4 de enero, y luego vendrán los playoffs del 5 al 7 de enero. Ustedes, ¿ya saben por quién hacer sus apuestas?
