(inspired by this art @hey-august shared with me and this is still my Roman empire. This is set just after Sunny meets Buggy so it's kind of fluffy SunnyxCroc)

All Sunny did was pout at her husband, stick out her lower lip, widen her eyes just a bit, sniffle once and Crocodile was out in the garden with her and Mihawk. He didn't care to be out there with them, there was more work to be done inside, but when he saw how his darling wife's face lit up when he finally agreed he figured a few hours in the sun wouldn't be so bad.

What he didn't anticipate was how often Sunny stopped what she was doing to stare at him. He first noticed it when he brought over a bag of soil for her. He had it over his shoulder, no issue whatsoever with the weight of the bag, and she was gripping the handle of the shovel so tightly as she watched him set it down he thought for a moment something was wrong. She snapped out of it when he said something to her as he opened the bag up and she couldn't come up with a reason for staring.

He unbuttoned his shirt after a point, letting the air flow through the dark cotton, and he caught her staring again. Her eyes were definitely on his chest, taking in the sight of it, and had they not been married for twenty years he may have said something but instead he grinned and winked at her before picking up another bag of soil and bringing it over to her.

The third time she was glued to his side as he used a rake to help spread out the soil. Her eyes were on him, watching his every movement because for some reason, seeing her husband outside, sleeves rolled up with his shirt open as he worked up a sweat was doing something to her.

"Do you two need a break?" Came Mihawk's voice.

"No-" "Yes-".

Crocodile looked at his wife curiously as she put her hand on his arm, nodding quickly. He glanced at his associate before he grinned at his wife.

"How long of a break do we get?" He asked as Sunny was already trying to drag him away. Mihawk sighed.

"I suppose I'll see you when I see you then." The swordsman said, shaking his head.

"I'll come back in a bit, promise!" Sunny insisted as she tugged on Crocodile's arm. "I just, um, want to make sure he's hydrated, you know, can't have him working too hard."

"I'll see you in a few hours then, Miss Sunny."

"Not likely." Crocodile retorted before grabbing Sunny and tossing her over his shoulder with ease. She helped in surprise, gripping his shirt for balance as he took her back home. She hoped she would come back to work but she had a feeling her husband had plans to keep her in bed for a while.

She was actually okay with that.
