It’s Memorial Day Weekend so first and foremost, my sincerest thanks to all those who have served our country and my forever gratitude to those who have given the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. The true heroes ❤️💙

But it is also Top Gun one year anniversary so now I want to :

1. Rewatch the cinematic masterpiece that is Top Gun Maverick and their all star cast (looking at you Glen, I love you too much 💗)

2. Write all the TGM stories I can! (Which is slow going unfortunately 😔)

3. Read as many of the amazing TGM stories posted on here and A03 (you guys are all so talented ☺️😍)

4. Enjoy the finally beautiful weather here (my pool is finally open ☀️)

5. Watch other classic movies like Independence Day (I love Bill Pullman 🥹), Armageddon (Ben Affleck 😍) and Twister (will pray every day from now until next July that the new Twisters is a blockbuster hit 🌪️)

6. Watch Band of Brothers aka the great miniseries ever created 🫡

7. And I have some racing events this weekend so I need to get ready for that (fingers crossed for a few medals 🏅🏅

meeting the family head canons:

Alfred sends a basket of something home with Jason for you, every time the two of them meet for tea. Every time you squeal and ask when he'll finally let the two of you eat, if only so poor Alfred can finally be thanked in person.

Jason finally, finally breaks down and agrees when Alfred starts sending sugar cookies with iced greetings for you in your favourite colour.

He agrees, but only if the two of you show up at the back entrance when most of them are supposed to be off-world for a mission. Alfred sets up a lovely traditional British tea service in the garden and Jason has a whole 5 minutes of hope that no one else will gatecrash

Steph 'stumbles' across the three of you first, grin suspiciously wide as she helps herself to a finger sandwich

Dick 'pops by' looking for Alfred (the cat), which he claims Damian has lost track of. He folds his legs up like a pretzel and takes a seat on the grass, refusing to budge. He tries to engage you in conversation and Jason stubbornly keeps trying to shut him down.

In the distraction of Dick's arrival, Cass materializes. She steals the eclair right out of his hand and un-apologetically pops the rest of it into her mouth while maintaining eye contact with you.

Tim trundles through not long after, tablet in hand. His display of surprise at being interrupted is the most but the maniacal glee at being able to tease Jason about finally bringing someone home gives him away.

Damian shows up last, Alfred the cat dangling from his arms. It takes him the longest to stop pretending he couldn't be less interested in you, but the moment you start paying attention to Alfred (the cat) he crumbles.

Bruce only shows up just as the two of you are leaving and suggest you use the front drive next time.

You meet Duke two weeks later. He's slightly offended no one told him or he would have showed up too.

Tubbo being rich as shit and one of the most respected mafia leaders who’s only care is for his beautiful baby girl that he has killed people for. Bodyguard Fit and Driver Pac are part of the mob family as well and the only people tubbo actually trusts to leave Sunny alone with.

some claustrophobic reader headcanons for darling cher:

It’s an accident, a broken lock on a supply closet that was only meant to hide you both from a guard going off schedule. Jason stuffs the two of you in, just as the guard comes around the corner, lock jostling stuck behind you.

He jokes about it at first, how embarrassing it’s going to be for Dick to come find you like this, limbs all tangled together. It only takes a few seconds of feeling the rushed in-and-out of your ribs pressed against his to realize something’s wrong.

Luckily the closet light is working and it only takes a few seconds of scrabbling to turn it on. The light at least makes it harder to imagine the walls closing in on you in the dark but it does not make the situation any better.

Panic is racing through the back of his brain because he’s never known you to react this way. Sure you’ve mad some offhand comments about personal space but he had no idea how badly it affected you or when the two of you would be able to get out.

He tries to get you to focus on him, to draw you back to the moment instead of the racing pace of your pulse. It has mixed results. On the one hand it stops some of the panic spiralling, but on the other it makes the fact that you’re stuck like this unavoidable.

Dick finally gets you both out a few minutes later but it felt like much longer. Later, when you’re far from the warehouse and you’ve had enough time to bring yourself back to an even keel, Jason very quietly and very earnestly asks what he could have done better.
