imagine being an affair baby to someone who is basically a cult leader and being raised for the sole purpose to become a womb to preserve that cult leader's blood line so the cult's offspring is always this mutant little baby groomed into becoming an assassin to kill ultimately every one of their own kind except you werent supposed to happen so the cult doesnt really gaf about you so decide to run away with the help of your also illegitimate half brother but you have to starve because you cant get caught and you almost die but not to fret cuz japanese tarzan saves you and decides to adopt and raise you as his daughter so now you have a new life, name and surrogate father except your appetite becomes ravenous and you cant stop overeating as a trauma response from almost dying from starvation and your dad isnt having none of it but ur a boss bitch except u get raided by a fucking federal agency cuz u were being too much of a fatass so u have to run away again and u lowkey become a vagabond but its ok cuz u get to stuff ur mouth as much as you want and so u meet this little asshole who likes books and rip his abdomen open but before u can eat him ur half brother who helped u run away crushes you with steel pipes from a construction area so a terrorist physicist pretending to be a doctor harvests your organs and puts them in that jackass you were about to eat so this dick thinks hes going through shit whining about seeing your schizophrenic hallucinations while ur barely kept alive in a tank so ur dragon organs can be harvested every time they regrow but then u get saved by a hippie ghoul but oopsie ur now in another lab in chains being made to starve so you can barely stay alive (sound familiar?) and lose your sanity all together while the same asshole who got you stuck here in the first place is bitching again about you being his sleep paralysis demon just because you tried to literally eat him a few years back so then your surrogate father tells your captors to leave you alone not because he wants his daughter back but because ur a wanted woman and it’d put your captors in danger but after a short while of freedom you get captured AGAIN by your half brother and used as an organ doner against your will for the third time meanwhile also haunting that guy you tried to kill a decade ago that won’t let it go so he goes and kills your half brother and then kills you to end the rampage even tho ur more of a victim than anyone else in the situation (also the guy who killed you is married with kids to the waiter who took your order on the first date)

arima and rize are complete opposite of one another in some ways. arima was at the very top of the food chain in regards to the sunlit garden children, and rize was at the very bottom. yet, rize had more freedom to live as herself (pre her capture) and arima had almost none. it's interesting.

i also remember them being relatively close to each other on the family tree. i don't headcanon them as direct full siblings, but i headcanon that their mothers were direct full sisters.

OKAY so I finished the first 12 episodes of RGU and I just wanna give short insight on Miki Kaoru. Obviously, my opinion on him could change because I'm not even halfway through the series so this is only what I think of him so far.

He's definitely not innocent and I remember seeing someone say "None of the men can't be trusted except Miki." which in my eyes is wrong but I can see why people say that because he was chill with Utena even after he lost the duel, they literally hung out an episode after and at first, his "crush" on Anthy was innocent and harmless, he's just teaching her math and helping her around.

From what I understand, he developes some sort of Savior Complex? Because when he realized that since Utena is engaged to Anthy, Anthy wouldn't be able to play the Piano/Sunlit Garden for him all the time If Utena ordered Anthy to stop playing which would be posessive and controlling behavior which he is right about but instead of actually trying to free Anthy, he decides he's gonna get engaged to her so he could make her play the piano all the time which in his perspective is protecting her music.

But that would still mean controlling Anthy all for the sake of bringing back the feeling he lost when Kozue stopped playing piano with him, he's wrong, he's not freeing or protecting Anthy at all. He's just like the other boys, he wants Anthy to belong to him and he would still be telling Anthy what she wants which is music and who she is, a musician.

So in short, Miki is no better than the other boys and the things I see him getting praised for... they all just seem like the bare minimum to me lol. Anyways, that's my opinion on him so far and this isn't me trying to hate on him by the way, it's simply an insight because some of you LIED to me, there is no decent man in this anime.

i have this question, that floats around in my brain. i feel like it's rather dark.

what does the sunlit garden do with fully ghoul babies that are boys? obviously they'd keep the girl ones for future half-human breeding, we knew that was what was to happen to rize if she grew older in the sunlit garden.

what purpose could they see within the boys? do they kill them?

i am dying to hear others' thoughts.

To add to my post, taking bits and pieces from my various WIPs:

No, Shio, regular humans don't generally find biting the inside of their mouth - or otherwise tasting blood - to be sweet-tasting.

Hairu, even if you deny it you know why the human sausages Aogiri made you eat when you were their "guest" tasted amazing and gave you an immediate warm glowing feeling.

Rikai, you have "really good night vision" for a reason.

Arima, regular humans can't bite through ghoul skin. (Of course, Arima IS aware of this, and it only makes him feel more alienated.)

And poor Yusa, who I slapped with the awkward one: Yes, Yusa, the sudden boner you get from the scent of your crush is a teenage ghoul thing. Swallow your embarrassment and go ask Touka about it.

So I'm kind of a sucker for the Garden descendants thinking they're weird or broken (or both!) because of the Sunlit Garden indoctrination, when really, they're hybrids, of course other ghoul traits pop up sometimes alongside the enhanced physical abilities.
