🩵Poetic Neptune🧜🏼♀️
🩵Neptune represents the waters that contain all of a person's hopes, dreams, emotions, ideas and potential. With Neptune's help, we break through the current dilemma and dare to dream of a better future. That's when photography was invented, and the first scammers were using it double exposures produced photographs of ghost-like figures that were rumored to be phantom creatures. The development of hypnotism and basic began psychological theories. Neptune idealizes, but they are in his case, ideals based on dreaming about someone or something that would save us from pain separations. Basically, it's a longing to escape from cold cruel reality of the world.
🏠This is shown when we return home after a long, tiring day, close the door to the outside world, and immerse ourselves in a good book, movie, or other activity that takes us away from of the daily grind and at least for us for something time to escape. But Neptune can get lost in this relaxation and returning to the real world or knowing when enough is enough doesn't always go well for him. Then it can happen that we drink more wine than we intended, or that we stay up too long and then don't hear the alarm clock in the morning. Neptune can cause confusion in any given life, opening the way to our dreams and closing the door to reality. Neptune is also associated with addiction.
🧜🏼♀️People with a strong Neptune can be very daydreaming and are naturally inclined towards spiritual practices and mystical experiences. Many times they experience the world differently than other people. The planet also represents the longing for a benevolent parent who would protect us from suffering and make everything go well. It is necessary to watch out for longing, because it can quickly make us victims of our own emotions. Neptune's domain also includes daydreaming and longing for a perfect love that will satisfy every need and finally made us happy and complete. People with a strong influence of Neptune do not constantly dream of love that will save them and show them the way.
🩵Neptune can also indicate the constant childlike energy that is with us. Returning to the past and the desire to stay young forever. We idealize our favorite actors and other celebrities because we believe they have the perfect one appearance, relationships and lifestyle. Many of us dream of being famous and also living the perfect life. The realization that ideals are unattainable can lead to intense disillusionment with the world, and Neptune is associated with mood swings and destructive behavior when the truth is not matches our expectations. Neptune is the classic embodiment of the artistic temperament. Neptune is associated with the mysterious realms life, and questions that have no scientific explanation. The planet represents the invisible the laws of matching that bind us together and the inexplicable coincidences that happen in our lives. Theories conspiracies originate from Neptune's murky world, where nothing is quite as it seems and the layers of possibility are many.
🧚🏼♀️Neptune in 1st house-The presence of Neptune brings an element of glamour to your outer persona. It gives you a sixth sense with which to navigate the world. your imagination is very big and you can quickly fall into your dream world wherever you are. You can draw a lot of energy from your surroundings. Many times you can create places in your own magical way. You can idealize people's personalities and looks without realizing it. Your personality is very interesting and many times people can't read you or tell exactly who you really are. You have a mysterious nature that quickly charms people. People can see in you someone who is mysterious, spiritual and out of this world. Your appearance is magical and you can look like a cartoon character. Sometimes you don't even seem real to people. You can charm people with your presence and appearance. You can be whoever you want to be and people will believe it and see you that way.
💰Neptune in 2nd house-you can daydream a lot about money, material things, food, enjoyment, music, movies. With Neptune here, you can have a very high confidence in the things you have. Your value can also be high (but that's because you're just delusional about it). You can literally manifest money. This placement can indicate dreams and illusions surrounding wealth and possessions. Individuals with this placement might have a tendency to idealize money or view it through a spiritual lens. You can watch a lot of movies and then have the feeling that this is real life. Life can be a movie. You can also have your own style of music that you listen to and it can quickly take you over.
😶🌫️Neptune in 3rd house-a lot of your imagination is in your head. You can imagine all kinds of things. Many times you delve into the thoughts of others. Neptune has no boundaries, and when it is placed in the third house, it can be hard for you to be assertive when dealing with others. Sometimes you find it very hard to talk to others or listen to them because you can draw a lot of energy from them. But you can be very good at telling a story or acting out a scene. Individuals with this placement may have a poetic way of speaking or writing, often conveying deep emotions and abstract concepts. Your way of speaking and thinking can be quite mystical, different and interesting to others.
🎑Neptune in 4th house - you can dream a lot about a perfect home and family. You can idealize your home and imagine exactly the kind of house you would like to have. Whenever you feel lonely, your escape is the place where you feel most comfortable and understood. You can spend a lot of time there. People with this position have a need to have a place in which they can hide from others and which is only theirs. Neptune here suggests a search for the perfect sanctuary, a place of soulful retreat. A spiritual principle can be your inner and outer foundation stone. You can have a very beautiful and spiritual home. Maybe you spend most of your time at home. I also think that many people, when they come to the home, feel like they are in a dream and very comfortable. But you can also feel lonely many times.
🎨Neptune in 5th house-eternal child. You want to live an easy, dreamy life. You can put a lot of your energy into creating, showing your thoughts, feelings and yourself. People with this position draw very well from an early age or have a special ability in things that others do not. Neptune here can also mean that you become recognizable at a young age without even realizing it. You can have several different hobbies, but many times they are related to water. In this position, people have to be careful not to get too carried away by gambling. Because they can become addicted to them or use them to escape. Your escape from the world can also be drawing in which you express your feelings, various hobbies or even romantic affairs (these people can sometimes meet people just to escape from problems). But you can also make people dreamy- with you, they can feel like they are in a movie.
🧁Neptune in 6th house- Individuals with this placement often find themselves drawn to careers that involve creativity, spirituality, or working with the less fortunate. They have a deep desire to offer their services to the world in a compassionate and empathetic manner. You can live in a messy space but you can feel your best in them. The 6th house represents perfection while Neptune represents confusion. Here you can be very delusional when it comes to health and your body, many times you are not even aware of the problems you have. You are self-sacrificing when it comes to work or problems. Many times, however, your escape is the opposite of that. These people usually cannot do work unless it involves art and at the same time they will work better on their own. These people should not take drugs or any substance because they can quickly become addicted and it can affect their health.
🥰Neptune in 7th house- a longing for a perfect union is suggested here and it might be hard for you to see people for who they really are, rather than as you would like them to be. You can dream a lot about the perfect partner/relationship you want to have. You can spend most of your time fantasizing about people you imagine yourself. Your escape can also be an imaginary parterre or a relationship that exists only in your head. Here you have to be careful not to get into a relationship too quickly, because people can turn out to be completely different than they were at the beginning. Neptune can give you the illusion of a relationship that isn't there at all. But u can also meet your soulmate and having the most dreamy relationship. The good thing in neptune is that everything is an illusion and you can get everything you want if you believe in it.
Part 2 is comming🎸🫧🎨

Once Upon A Dream
Summary: In a world where everyone is bestowed a soul mark on their wrist, Lucien Vanserra does not have one. No mark, no soulmate — that was what he thought. Except, all his life, Lucien had dreams about another pretty brunette named Elain.
And the catch? She didn’t have a soul mark too.
Rating: G
WC: 3.8k
Read on AO3
A/N: Written for day five of @sjmromanceweek : Favourite Tropes.
The soul mark trope has always been one of my favourite tropes. Add that to Sleeping Beauty’s Once Upon A Dream and voila, fic!
I know you,
I walked with you once upon a dream
Lucien looked eagerly at the clock, his heart racing in his chest with every tick. With just a few more minutes before the hand struck twelve, it was too late for any would-be ten year olds to be awake.
But tonight was not like any other night. Afterall, he was turning ten, the most special of all birthdays. This birthday was when he would finally get his soul mark on the inside of his right wrist, the magical mark that would match only with his soulmate. He wondered what form would the mark take? Would it be some form of words or drawings? Their first words or a shared hobby? Anything to give him a clue as to the type of person his soulmate would be.
BBRRIINNNGGGG!
At the sound of his alarm clock, Lucien giddily pulled up his sleeve to reveal… nothing. He rubbed on the skin and stared and stared, waiting for it to appear — a line or even a dot. Just something.
But then an entire hour had passed and there was still only unblemished skin. So with a broken heart that felt too much for the newly minted ten year old, little Lucien went to bed with tear streaked cheeks.
And he began to dream.
***
Lucien was in a garden, surrounded by beautiful flowers of every colour. Daylight fell in luminescent streaks and flutters of birds chirped cheerfully in the background. The idyllic naturesque sounds were then punctuated by crying coming from a short distance away.
He followed the sound of lithe sobs, down and down the trail lined with red rose bushes.
“Are you okay?” He asked tentatively when he found the source: a girl sitting on the grass with her back to a bush, hugging her knees as her body shook from the strength of her sobs.
The head of honey brown hair shot up to reveal fat tears and fierce brown eyes.
“No, I’m not!” She cried before unleashing another flurry of tears.
Lucien froze. People always said ‘I’m okay’ or ‘I’m fine’. Asking was a formality, nothing but a social nicety drilled into him by his mother. One that had to be asked so he could move on and go about his day. ‘No’ was the one answer he had no idea how to respond to. Yet, one look at the stubborn pressed line of her lips and puffy red eyes dragged his heart through coals. Something within him begged him not to leave her alone all teary and upset.
Gathering a breath of courage, the young redhead sat down next to her, their shoulders a bare finger width apart.
“Why are you crying?”
A sniff.
The mysterious girl wiped her nose with the back of her hand and turned her head to look at him. Even with her mucus streaked cheeks, Lucien thought she was so pretty.
Another sniff then she answered with a small voice, “You can’t laugh at me if I tell you.”
He frowned, “No, I won’t. Why would I?”
Round doe eyes assaulted him, staring at him pleadingly. She held up her pinky. “You need to promise.”
With all the confidence that came with being ten, Lucien immediately crossed his pinky with hers and insisted, “I promise.”
“They all laughed at me because I have no soul mark. They said it was because I’m unlovable.”
He thought his heart might have stopped at the moment.
“You’re not the only one.”
It was the girl’s turn to frown now, and her sad eyes narrowed. “You said you won’t make fun of me.”
“I’m not,” Lucien pulled up his sleeve and said sadly at the empty span of brown skin, “I know what it’s like. I kept waiting and waiting.”
She nodded in understanding, her eyes softening. “I did too.”
There was an instant kinship but more than that, for the first time since the clock struck twelve, Lucien felt light and comforted by a warmth that spread in his chest.
“I’m Lucien. What’s your name?”
Honey brown curls, pink cheeks and rosebud lips. The girl angled her head and smiled.
“Elain.”
***
“Loser!”
Lucien Vanserra didn’t have a soul mark and his stupid classmates would never let him forget about it. They thought that not having one made him inferior and damaged. Which was why he was standing with his back against the brick wall, his hands balled into tight spheres by the side of his body as they sneered and jeered at him.
He was better than them. He had good grades and what would surely be a brighter future than theirs. Not having a mark did not make him lesser. So Lucien held his head up high, never faltering or showing weaknesses. Not when he had a promise to keep to the one person who believed in him.
Even if he had no idea to whom the promise was made to.
Nobody but somebody.
She was nothing but she was everything.
***
Lucien’s body buzzed as he threw a small ball up to the ceiling and effortlessly caught it in his palm on its way back down. The mattress space next to him dipped and his nose caught the familiar whiff of jasmine and honey.
He didn’t turn to look at the newcomer. He didn’t have to, he knew who it was. He simply scooched slightly towards the warmth so that his upper arm would touch hers. She rested her head on his shoulder in response.
“Why are you moping?”
He rolled his eyes. He was not moping, moping was for losers, and he told her as such.
“Uh huh,” Elain teased, “Lying on your bed with the biggest sulk I’ve seen, all while trying to act all cool and nonchalant is definitely not moping.”
“I’m not,” he said sulkily, fully aware that he was proving her point. There was no winning his best friend. “I’m brooding.”
She burst into laughter, the movement causing the curly ends of her hair to tickle his face. He swatted the stray strands and whipped his head around, “That tickles!”
Got you to turn, her chocolate brown eyes sang. He scowled.
“So?” She prompted once more.
He flipped back onto his back once more and threw the ball up again. “I aced all my exams. Mr Andrews said that I was a shoe-in for my first choice high school. I rushed home to tell them. Mum was ecstatic, of course. But dad…” he trailed off as the ball landed back into his waiting hand, he flicked his wrist once more to send it flying.
A soft hand rubbed soothing circles on his arm. She guessed sadly, “Still nothing?”
“Was I stupid to have expected more?” He asked in frustration, the ball hitting the ceiling and hurled back at them, the force changing its direction and was poised to hit Elain. She barely flinched in a display of complete trust.
His hand shot out in front of her to catch it. “I am trying to do everything right but he still treats me like I don’t exist!” He turned around once more, russet eyes begging, “Does not having a soul mark really make me so unlovable?”
Were those idiot classmates right? He didn’t think his father used to treat him this way. A little cold and distant, yes. But he at least acknowledged him. That all changed the day he realised he didn’t have a mark and he swore he saw a glint in those amber eyes. His father had barely spoken another word to him since then. He repeated in the barest of whispers, “Am I just unlovable?”
“Am I unlovable?” Elain asked in return with raised brows, her equally bare wrist perfectly visible in her short sleeved attire.
“No, of course not,” he rushed to answer because that would be the furthest from the truth. Elain was kind and funny and clever and pretty. It wasn’t possible for someone to not love her. He added in defeat, “But what else could it be?”
She pondered on it for a while before saying, “Maybe he’s just not a very good father.”
“That’s not true.” Was he being as sulky as he sounds, he wondered.
She looked at him with what might be sympathy at best or pity at worse and Lucien scowled. He wanted to snap at her because this was his father they were talking about and he shouldn’t let anybody talk bad about him. But he stayed silent anyway, not wanting to hurt her when she was just trying to make him feel better.
And not at all because it was anywhere near the truth.
Her glance softened because of course she understood everything.
“I love you,” she reminded him instead.
It was a callback to the pact that they made years ago when they were ten, when it felt like the universe had given them the worst sign ever of not bestowing them a soul mark. So they took it in their own hands to love each other, even if no one else did.
He sighed.
“I love you too.”
Elain Archeron. His best friend who always knew what to say, always knew how to cheer him up as he did for her.
His best friend whom he would not be able to remember when he woke up.
And still, he loved her.
***
“Presenting to you, the valedictorian of the class of 2019, Lucien Vanserra!”
Lucien climbed up the short steps of the stage and gave a tight nod of thanks to their principal. With a deep breath, he turned to the audience and immediately located the two heads of red hair. A knot in his chest loosen and he smiled.
Valedictorian of a high school might not mean much in the long run. Afterall, there were hundreds and thousands of high schools in the country. Each one of them would have a valedictorian. Yet it was still a point of pride for Lucien, one he had those two seated in the benches to thank for. His mother, beautiful despite everything she endured at home, and Eris, whose eye bags revealed how he had rushed here after another 48-hour shift at the hospital.
Of course, there were other motivators. From the less positive ones like his father’s stern berating for him to uphold their family medical legacy and the cut throat competitive environment he forged to alienate his sons from each other, to the most positive driving force — his personal sleeping angel.
It was with the thought of a blurred heart-shaped face and the comforting scent of jasmine and honey that Lucien began his speech.
***
He was going to do it.
He was going to try and find her. They had tried and failed before but this time, this time they were older, they had more resources, there had to be more they could take back to the awake world. Lucien would make it work.
He just had to confess first.
Because he was irrevocably in love with Elain Archeron. Maybe the reason why they both didn’t manifest a soul mark was because they were soul mates and even if that wasn’t the case, they could choose to be. In a world where everyone had their soulmates chosen for them, they could choose each other. And he would choose her every time. For her unmatchable beauty, her witty humour and her optimism. The list was endless.
Her delicious bakes, he silently added to the list in his mind as he entered the kitchen, her kitchen. Lucien paused in the doorway to admire the scene before him. Elain was humming a cheerful tune as she hand-mixed a nondescript chocolatey mixture. Her honey brown was pulled back into a messy bun and her forehead was adorably smudged with said chocolatey mixture.
Then Elain looked up from her bowl and beamed at Lucien, her very being vibrating with happiness.
Just like that, Lucien was undone all over again.
“Lucien!” She squealed and bounced towards him with her arms wide open. He reacted instinctively, his own arms opening to catch her mid-jump and embraced her tightly. “I got in! Full scholarship to Auguste Escoffier!!”
“Congratulations, that’s amazing!” He gushed as he gently set her down, his hands still a gentle grasp on her waist, “I never doubted you for a second.”
Her grin was infectious. “And you?” She asked expectedly.
“John Hopkins,” he said, trying and failing to keep the smugness out of his voice.
Elain squealed once more and hugged him so tight his muscles was about to cramp up. “It’s all coming together, isn’t it?”
Yes, yes it was. It was perfect, and there was only one thing that could make it even more perfect: having each other more than in their dreams.
She prattled on, “Just one step closer to fulfilling our dreams. We will be at the top of our fields: the doctor and the chef.” She turned those expressive doe eyes on him, “Finding love…”
It was perfect. He couldn’t have planned it better himself—
“Just like how I found someone, Luci.”
And just like that, the moment shattered and sent Lucien free falling into the hard ground.
“You met someone?” He kept his gaze on the messy countertop as he asked softly, trying desperately to keep out the bitter disappointment.
“His name is Graysen. I met him at the networking event for Escoffier students where he was one of the speakers as the top second year student. He,” slender fingers gingerly traced the fair skin of her right wrist, “he said that we all have control over our fates, including who we love. We have only been out for a few dates but I have never felt this way before. It’s exhilarating.”
Elain’s eyes, as rich as the most luxurious chocolate cake and just as impossibly expressive, filled in the rest of the gaps for him.
Elain was falling in love.
With the most sincere smile he could muster, Lucien hugged his best friend and stood by her side, steadfast and silent, as she fell in love with another man.
***
Streaks of light ricochet across the large space, the uneven illumination on the flow of tightly knitted bodies was an alluring promise of an evening of debauchery. And of course such an evening was always best paired with alcohol.
Lucien glided his way to the bar, his lips flicked upwards as he laid eyes on the bartender. The way her curvy body moved as she shook the cocktail maker was somehow more alluring than even the most attractive dancer on the floor. Dark eyes sparked when she noticed him staring.
Lucien met her gaze head-on, refusing to be embarrassed that she caught him.
“What can I get you?”
God, that husky voice was going to follow him to the bedroom tonight.
“Five tequila shots,” he requested and winked, “to start, at least.”
She crashed the shot glasses to the table and began pouring out the drinks, those striking amber eyes still fixated on russet ones, “Celebrating or commiserating?”
Lucien grinned, “which one gets me a higher success rate if I ask for your number?”
The bartender tipped her head back and laughed, revealing the long sensual column of her throat. She pushed the circular tray of drinks to him. “Enjoy your drinks,” she wished him through smouldering half-hooded lids, “and the graduation ceremony.”
She nodded at his table where one of his friends had donned the square cap while roaring boisterously. Lucien winced slightly before thanking her and turning back to his table. It was only when he was distributing the shots when he noticed the small slip of paper with scribbled digits.
He smiled widely as he threw his shot back, his mind wholly occupied by one beautiful word.
Jesminda.
***
It was the garden from so very long ago.
From the excitable birds chittering to the flower led trail, it was exactly as Lucien remembered it. A secret that had been preserved only in the minds of two people. Just as he did in his adolescence, Lucien followed the trail, knowing that it would lead to his honey brunette friend.
He dreamt about Elain much less in recent years. He told himself that it was because the both of them were busy with their studies and internships but he knew that wasn’t the complete truth. But perhaps it was because they were both doing it intentionally.
Afterall, what he had with Jesminda and she with Grayson were real: relationships that existed outside the realm of dreams and should be cared for like the most precious of flowers. Dreaming about each other was confusing and distracting.
He shook his head slightly when he stumbled onto the end of the trail and russet eyes landed on the picnic set-up and the person behind it.
Elain was humming idly, her attention locked onto a plate she was preparing. Stacking intricately cut vegetables and meat in ways he could never understand but knew would combine into something magical in her hands. He stepped onto the mat and his shadow crept over her.
The loss of sunlight had Elain lifting her head, her mouth already widening into a smile that didn’t reach her eyes. “You’re here! You are in for a treat today!”
Lucien bent his knees to sit next to Elain, his brows furrowed as a nagging sensation tickled the back of his mind. He watched as Elain did the finishing touches on the dishes, artfully blobbing purée dots around the edible layers. His eyes traced the plate to her hands and up her arms—
“Your wrist,” he blurted out. Something pulled his heartstring as Elain froze at the statement. At first glance, her face was blank. But Lucien knew his best friend of over fifteen years — knew that her jaw was locked rigid and there was a micro twitch in her left eye.
Slender fingers traced the inside of her wrist where the silhouette of a flower had been tattooed. Compared to the iridescent imprint of a soul mark, the black ink fell flat like a poor imitation. Its presence would draw as much attention as a blank wrist. It would never be able to cover up for the absence.
He had to ask, “Why?”
Elain’s hand trembled as she put down the piping bag.
“It’s snowdrops,” she said instead, “for hope and renewal.”
He swallowed thickly, “Did you and Graysen?”
There was an almost imperceptible nod. “He left me. Took back his ring and walked out of the life we have built together,” Chocolate eyes glistened and stoked another memory of a little girl hugging her knees as she sobbed in this exact garden. Except this time, there were no shaking sobs or a spunk to her outburst. Elain simply looked tired and defeated. “He found his soulmate.”
He covered her hand with his, lending a quiet strength to the woman in front of him.
“He said he tried to fight it but the feelings were just too strong.” She huffed, the sound like a crack on brittle glass, and continued with rounded shoulders, “I’m so stupid. Of course, he would choose his soulmate.”
Lucien pulled her to him. Soft curves melted against the hard planes of his body, fitting like two pieces of a puzzle. After a moment, he pulled her off slightly and gently grasped both sides of her face, his thumbs stroking damp cheeks, russet eyes locking with doe eyes.
“I love you.”
An old promise made in this very garden, kept alive by the flames within his chest. Always burning, never to be broken.
A broken sob erupted, a volcano finally active after an overly prolonged duration of simmered rage and sadness.
“I love you too.”
***
Dear Lucien,
I am sorry that you had to find out like this but I wanted, no, needed, for you to find out from me instead of your family. Your father offered me a million dollars to leave you and I agreed. So this is me, packing up and walking out.
I want you to know that it was never you. I can’t thank you enough for these wonderful years. I never thought I could find someone who could love me like you did after Adric. You taught me strength. You were the pillar I could always rely on, the light when my life was so very dark. However, in hindsight, this was always going to be the path we were headed on: you going on to be an excellent surgeon — worthy of the Vanserra name and without the burden of the widowed bartender. And I'm rid of all my debts, free to live life in any way I want to. It is better this way.
Live your life, Lucien. You deserve to be happy.
Good bye, Jes
***
The city sounds enveloped him. The growling of traffic, the hurried tapping footsteps of the morning commute, their voices all merging into one vibrant life force. Lucien halted in his path and closed his eyes to take it all in, absorbing the welcoming greeting of his new city. It was probably a good omen that no one rammed into him.
When he opened his eyes, a cafe storefront at the opposing end of the traffic cross junction grabbed his attention. Despite it being a slight detour from the hospital, Lucien followed the tiny inner voice inside him urging him into the cafe.
The Secret Garden
The burst of coffee aroma washed over Lucien as he entered the store. He didn’t hesitate to join the line leading up to the counter, looking around the shop as he did so. True to its name, the cafe was the very picture of a garden. Flowers of both fresh and dried variety dotted the place and its walls crawled with twining vines. Wooden tables and chairs, hanging lights and even a garden swing — there was something deeply familiar about the place that tickled the back of Lucien’s mind and tugged sharply at his heartstrings.
The line moved relatively fast and he soon reached the counter with his coffee order at the tip of his tongue. Instead, his mouth went dry when he spotted a feminine wrist and a familiar inky black tattoo in place of a soul mark: one of some sort of flower.
Snowdrops, a voice in his memory muttered, for hope and renewal.
His eyes drifted up to her face, to honey brown curls, rosebud lips and dusty pink cheeks.
“It’s you,” she breathed in disbelief. Expressive chocolate brown eyes that widened into spheres as they registered his appearance.
“It’s you,” he echoed in the same breathy quality, and for the first time in the waking world, he remembered her name. “Elain Archeron.”
Her hands shot out to grab the lapels of his jacket and yanked him towards her, crashing her lips to his. It lasted barely a moment before those same soft lips quivered upwards into a smile. “Lucien Vanserra, it’s nice to finally meet you.”
Lucien simply leaned in to kiss her again.
“It’s nice to finally meet you too.”
***
You’d love me at once,
The way you did once upon a dream
