The Bias List

@avatarfantxsy @quyennie @despairandjo I decided to just list them. I need to make a separate post for bands tho. (that was a lie almost as fat as me) So in this bias list I will only list groups that I listen to. The last bias list I posted there were a lot of groups that I hadn’t listened to yet so this one will just be the groups I know of. I have a few to add, some I have taken off and I will have a section at the end for potential biases. Also some groups have 2-6 biases. For example I literally can’t choose with UP10TION. A new decade has just begun and all the five companies’ teams are already working restlessly to put together and execute their strategies and plans for this year that not only involve their active artists but also trainees. As always, the start of a new era comes with high hopes of progress and development and there is no better day to put some resolutions in action and start shaping your own future than today.

In each company, coaches gather their trainees on the first day of the month in the practice room they should know well at this point to pass a message from the superiors. Motivational 'New Year' speech aside, they emphasize that the CEOs are looking for results and that it's fundamental that they are ready if they don't want to miss out opportunities. "With this in mind, we'll divide you in male and female groups and you will work on improving some aspect of your performance skills as a group, not individuals, because if you were to debut today, we don't need a group unable to dance or sing properly, nor we want trainees relaying on this one person to do the dance or hit the notes. You should be the best version of yourselves and be capable of doing well."

Continuing, they explain that trainees will be sent to camps in Seoul for three days (from January 10 to 12) to focus on the determined area the coaches decide to be the groups’ weakness. The camps consist in Vocals (Singing & Rapping) and Performance (Dance & Stage Presence) and at the end of the month, trainees will show off their improvements in a performance they will put together at the camp under specialized coaches' supervision. Vans will be waiting outside the companies at 6 a.m. on the 10th to drop them at the camp and they are instructed to take casual and comfortable clothes, but only the necessary.

Once they return to the normal schedules on the 13th, they are expected to resume training but continue practicing for the evaluation. At the end of the month, the 31st, coaches will be waiting for them in a practice room to watch, record and take notes of the performances as usual. All CEOs and directors will watch the tapes later as they make decisions for the upcoming months and years, so it’s smart to make good use of the special lessons.

The Writing Process

I have always wanted to write something about witches after I watched Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. I vaguely remembered this prompt back when I was claiming my prompt for Will of the Stars (2018) so when the 2019 round opened, I quickly came for this prompt. I feel a bit sorry for the prompter because I turned their idea into this monstrosity but they haven’t reached out to me yet so I’m still hoping they aren’t that disappointed.

Despite being inspired from Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, it has absolutely no relation to it at all aside from the fact that it’s all about witches and I incorporated the popular witch trio element into this fic. It is completely something original, especially with my trademark of putting stars and constellations into the lore.

The whole fic has the touch of darkness that you can hear in bury a friend by Billie Eilish.

I developed the plot around November of 2018 but I never got around to really writing it seriously until March because school has been hectic and I’m just graduating from senior highschool. The plot is actually really bland at first. Chanyeol was supposed to only forget Baekhyun, gets rescued from Sungyeol and he is trained until Sungyeol rises. All the ideas from Rena pretending to be his girlfriend, the lore, the little twists throughout with the witch hunters, Chanyeol’s mom and Baekhyun’s ultimate death were not developed until May, a week before I turned the fic in. I’m the master of working under pressure lol.

I had so many people beta read this thing. I’m so grateful especially to Ate Mimi and Ate Lan for being patient with me haha.

Original title of this fic was supposed to be House of Draco but it’s too formal ahahaha.

Witch Culture

They worship the stars.

The Roselake Coven collectively lives in a base hidden from human sight called the Roselake Fortress.

The Roselake Institution of Obscure Magic and Cosmic Witchcraft stands in front of the fortress.

Witches all have the standard ability to control magic, but they can also develop secondary abilities.

The witches live an egalitarian society where no matter what you are as long as you are against the darkness and you are with the stars, you are as equal as anybody else.

Technology is banned because it is useless anyway in a place brimming with magic.

Fashion includes anything black.

Witches love jewelry of any kind.

Dark, dramatic make-up is a staple.

Powers

The witches in this fic all have powers inspired from Polaris of the Gifted.

“All of a sudden, Chanyeol brings his arms sharply down in front of his chest, hands curled into fists. A ring of beautiful blue fire bursts out from within his body, setting the people in black on fire. Their shrieks echo into the night as they try to collect their wits and extinguish the flames, which Chanyeol takes as his cue to run the fuck out of there.”

House Cassiopeia, the Queen - blessed with natural born leadership and high aptitude for Affliction Magic

Colors of the magical energy harnessed by witches depends on the house that they belong in, although that still depends. For example, a witch might have blue magical energy, hinting their House Draco bloodline, but the witch might be absorbed in other houses because of circumstances.

The Characters

This is Chanyeol, an ascendant of House Draco. He grew up as a mortal, which is why it was hard for him to adjust with witch life, especially after all the trouble he had to go through before becoming an official witch. He always felt lost and confused, but he did his best especially with Baekhyun guiding him so he became more powerful and capable through will and determination.

Here is Baekhyun of House Aquila, a prodigy among the youth in the coven. He's selfless and prioritizes the safety of the ones he love. He understands the principle of sacrifices and will choose the shortest end of the stick. He's charismatic yet cute at the same time.

The Oh Family featuring Krystal from f(x) with Sehun and Nayoung from Pristin, the only living ascendants of House Vulpecula in the Roselake Coven. They have been excommunicated from the Roselake Coven simply because they are directly related to Sungyeol. Despite this, they wholeheartedly helped Chanyeol, showing their loyalty to family as long as they are in the right.

Kahi as the High Priestess with Kyulkyung, Rena and Roa as the Pride Sisters, ascendants of House Cassiopeia. They appear cruel and antagonistic, but that is only because they are fierce and strict when it comes to the safety of the coven.

ITZY as Baekhyun's half-sisters, ascendants of House Aquila. Even if Baekhyun feels a bit distant from them because they aren’t blood-related and he constantly has the need to take up the responsibility of keeping witches safe from their upcoming doom, they look up to him as an admirable older brother.

Kai of House Corvus and Kyungsoo from House Orion a.k.a fluffy boyfriends who are close friends with Baekhyun. Kyungsoo is quite bubbly, naive and maybe a bit airheaded at times, but he is smart and very powerful. Jongin is the exact opposite of him and because of their match, they come in a set.

The Roselake Institution of Obscure Magic and Cosmic Witchcraft Council Leader Yixing of House Leo with council members Jongdae of House Pyxis and Minseok of House Circinus. They are always busy because aside from keeping the student witches in check, they have to cooperate with the higher authorities to keep the peace.

These are star-crossed lovers Witch Sehun and Witch Hunter Junmyeon. The witch hunters in the fic were dormant and had not been trained to be one only making them legacies rather than actual hunters, but the demons manipulated them in order to capture the witches.

about kpop obsession

today I wanna update my latest kpop favourite group, biased, otp, and why I love them. yes them. it's not one but many many people getting around. this list not just boys group but the girls group to. 1. INFINITE I am absolutely loyal (maybe not) INSPIRIT. always make Infinite first than the other group and this your gonna be my 5 year being Inspirit. why? why not? they are amazing 7 man that alive in this world. they can sing verywell (maybe need much slot for Sungyeol), they can dance verywell (hail Hoya and Dongwoo) and they can being nasty together. and I love this year gonna they 7 years together and I hope they can always forever till they can't dance and their voice going crack when singing. My Biased: you can look in my pp actualy. yes, the one and only almighty leader Kim Sunggyu. even many fans outside them not think Sunggyu is handsome, for me he is handsome man alive with single eyelid and tall nose. and his voice... don't ask how many time I cry just hear his voice. for me he is perfect. Biased Wrecker: today no one. this my confession. when I know infinite first, I really like Hoya than Sungjong come alive and getting pretty everyday, but than I know how beautiful uri leader are and then baam I love Sunggyu now. OTP: maybe the one unpopular OTP for Inspirit, but I love Hojong than Woogyu and Myungyeol too. why Hojong? I know many Inspirit love Hoya and Dongwoo bromance so much. but for me how Howon care much about his little brother make me aww so much. and why ask about woogyu? you know the reason why! *wink* and myungyeol? just Myungsoo love Sungyeol too much in hilarious reason. 2. Seventeen okay first, I'm not really know who are they. even when they win rookies of the years, I still think "who?". I know Seungcheol being Tempest member with Nu'est JR, than what. and I watch Vernon in TTM too, but just him. so when I watch gayo daejunjae 2015, I watch all perform and still think "why they so many member" and forget it. the turn back time is when I watch them in weekly idol (so greatfull korea have this show so much), and wow they have so hilarious member group. and start looking for their other variety. first watching show was one fine day which turn not really one fine day for them, and lough till cry because of them. than, I watched their debut variety show, lough, cry, and this family make me falling so deep. they so talented, beautiful, and hilarious in the same time. My Biased: have I choose only one? can I choose them all? ok, so I really can choose one. they are so charming with they charm. but I looking so many Woozi pic. why he so squizy? ah yes, his not short, he is in the fun size. I really want hug he and sit him in my tea chair. but don't forget he resemble little devil too. too gap moe, and I love him because he is Lee Jihoon. and being the one leader, composer, good dancer too (ex performance team fyi), don't wanna know how much pressure in his brain. but being the one of talented member in talented group make he look so sparkling, even some time I even can't look him in the stage. Biased Wrecker: oh okay I have a lot in here. You say you don't have biased but have many biased wrecker? first, I call Hong "Joshua" Jisoo. did you watch his hand, oh.my.God oh my God, I really have fetish with hand, and Joshua hand really my type. second, I summon Jeon Wonwoo to come. he is handsome and mysterious(?) when first I watch him. these Mansae btw, and he's look like DBSK U-Know Yunho (am I just the one who tough this when first time look Wonu?). and then his aegyo in V channel change everything. third, nowday Junhui really kill me (bleas Boom Boom MV). his smile... (Junhui plead don't). but his narcistic personal too much for me. fourth, we have The8. Minghoa, you have stop being killer soon kid! I don't know why first Pledis like to change his hair so much. but two latest mv (Boom Boom and Highlite) really kill me. his piercing eyes soo... OTP: I am Jicheol trash. so proudly with this. ok... maybe many Carat's really love Jeongcheol and Soonhoon. but for me Jicheol is legend. they even married guys. and when you know Jihoon verywell, you know he didn't like skinship so much(?) but when you looking their predebut video. "how many skinship you have done with Seungcheol, Lee Jihoon? and you said this doesn't like skinship?" (okay I need to stop) PS: I really love them so much till scared. too much member mean too much brain to being one. and looking for their seniors (I know SJ and EXO before them), is not easy. and being SM stan for dunno many years, it's hurt look your group stan broke one by one. so, I just hope they never change, I know people change but I hope they are not. and stay together till forever (being selfish fan I am). 3. VIXX I love their concept. and being concept-dol not easy at all. because not just new music need to care, but what concept next must think so much. and their existence make they being one of many role model to watch off in kpop history. even sometime I don't really understand Ravi think when make a song (and the coreograph), they still good to know. and personaly, I love their personal so much. when first I know them, thanks for N, they are so not VIXX nowday (I watch Hyde first). but I really like their concept so much. so fresh, so new, so different. okay maybe not, because they debut when the alien debut (EXO and B.A.P). but they change to be good. My Biased: Leo. Jung Taekwoon. Lion in jungle. or whatever he is. okay first, you're Idol can you being like the Idol you are? but than I know he's just shy. and for the other member and Sunggyu (thanks again for weekly idol), he is not Leo on camera that we know. he is just... normal. but other than handsome, have high voice, style that I like so much, have killer smile which can kill his fans, he love kid and cute pet. too gap moe?! and he can cook to. love coffee so much, and really like sport. ok which one of you his fans and not watch his ideal type in Leo? Biased Wrecker: uhm... Kong? I mean Hongbin or maybe Leo my biased wrecker because I like Hongbin first? so yup, like the other fans who look Hongbin because he is visual, I like him first. because I don't really like guy with long hair. pardon me? but than Leo cut his hair and... asdfghjkl OTP: the unpopular OTP again. is Taekbin. don't ask. please don't ask. I just... love them together. I mean Leo never look in Kong with his killer stare. 4. I.O.I you know is getting sad when I mention I.O.I in this list. but really I love this girls so much. they together because produce 101, being ranking 1-11 they are, and debut for 1 years. this first time I really like girls group with cute concept. but they are good together... can they not disband this year? I know they will debut soon and later, but looking them in I.O.I and their current group was different. is not like I don't like their current group. I like DIA, I like gu9udan, I like WSJN, and I like Pristin very much. but looking how different person from different management together so wonderful. I hope their respective group or solo carrier like Chungha, Sohye, and Somi, will great this year. My Biased: Im Nayoung and Yoojung. two different person and two rapper in the group. I cry so much because of them. and who said Nayoung was stone, now she even can aegyo guys. and more cry for Yoodaeng, this girl need to debut ASAP. she is so talented and cute one too. Biased Wrecker: Saejoong~i God Saejoong. she is maybe the most lucky one in this group. getting debut soon with gu9udan and getting solo variety show and solo debut too... and now first OST. wow. but her voice and personalities so good for idol life. and stop bassing her because her prank. OTP: am I need to make OTP for girls group too? uhm... then I choose Sohye and Somi. what their OTP group btw? because I don't know who is the maknae one in here. maybe not. is just being penguin Sohye is and being a nice nice makne Somi is.
