Sunday Sanity Post: When people ask, “what’s wrong?” it’s so easy to name everything that has happened, that is happening and some of us will even predict what will happen…. A dear friend reminded me of this years ago…she started asking, “well, what’s right with ya today?” At first it startled me because I was so ready to discuss the bad things during my day that I totally forgot about the GOOD that God had blessed me with🎉 Have you ever taken the time to really think about the many intricate blessings that are right in front of us? Go beyond being grateful for waking up or having food in your fridge or being able to pay a bill. Start thinking about those “little things” we tend to look over like, being able to have a peace of mind, being able to enjoy your day in peace and not chaos, being able to smile, laugh or just being content with what God has given you and so much more! Start your Gratitude journal and change the narrative with your words, even when writing. Take a moment to answer the question, “What’s RIGHT with me today? and watch how circumstances will slowly turn around. Try asking your friends & family…”hey! Sunday Sanity If you’re like me, I don’t like bad news but I know that’s part of this life journey😢 So much has happened in this new year, mass shootings, deaths, murders, inflation, etc…and many of us have been triggered & traumatized and unfortunately it feels Iike you can’t do anything but watch it unfold🤯😢 We can debate, fuss, blame, point the fingers and more however truth be told, some fights are just out of our hands…the battle is definitely not ours but The Lord. 🙏🏾 If you are a prayer warrior keep praying for change, prayers do change and heal so keep praying🙏🏾 If you can’t pray, don’t worry, we have you covered 💜 Then utilize the resources that God has given to us to help with the trauma from current events….praying, nature, journaling, licensed counseling, certified coaches, trusted friends, exercising, dancing, good music, etc… Then when you’re ABLE, create or connect with a solution that you can take part in and do your part to “fight”.
