Sunaral, in the Midst of the Typhoon

I've been meaning to do some more lore writing for this world, but I've been stuck with other projects, uni, and all, but I finally decided to sit down and crank out some more for this region.

Old states collapse, Sunaral breathes anew, new nations arise.

Thus spoke Sierro k-Nadses Daseli, Brotherhood of the Four Truths, 7920.

The two-hundred year rule of Terna-ij over what it deemed Eseria begins its wane as revolt upon revolt burns,

Kearana struggles with liberation with the abdication of the Grand Prince Derren on-Meyn-Joen,

Giselia and the Wural continue to bicker and argue over the Ourate Straits, heart of the old trade,

Iwosind continues its rapid expansion across Doppenes, as its "platinae magi" legions harass and annex towns on the island,

Zanesen revanchism sweeps the nation as the rump state of Delsatya is the only thing between it and total war against its neighbor and enemy of Creizh,

and through all its storms, Sunaral marches on.

In the centuries and millennia before the 80th century, the Central Trade dominated the world's seas. The endless pursuit for the spread of goods, faiths, and ideals created what was once the Tolipean Synod, a dream that unified the continent. For TOLIPEA was SUNARAL, and SUNARAL was TOLIPEA.

Then, rose Eseria, the rejection of Paenimsh dominance.

Brigade and column of Eseria marched east, then west, to declare the nation of Eseria, the end of TOLIPEA.

As it rose, so did its ideas spread across the Central Trade, then the Trades That Flowed From Whether,

and where the Eseric could not expand, its ideals would change.

The 79th forced upon Sunaral change.

In the Wural, with the tyranny of the Wuralian kings, revolution burned anew. Giselia rose in the name of Jesel, she-who-in-millennia-ago-liberated. The Union of the Wural rose from the ashes in Icnairon, and rebuilt itself anew in Kaserai.

Djeritsia and Occidalea saw revolution alongside the Giselians, changing their monarchical structures and reforming them in fear of what happened to Wuralia.

Amongst the fury of Eseria, so too did the Zanese seek change from the lords of Creizh, and in Bones-Steel, rebuilt Arignon, once the symbol of both Gnaickeran and Creizh yoke, into Aringsou.

Now, in the 80th, Sunaral simmers towards a boiling point.

ORAIUS spoke to the people of the temple,

The Princedom of Kearana, c. 7922

I was originally planning on using Kearana as the focal point of a play-by-post game of either ICON or Pathfinder 2e, but I never got around to running it. It would be fun to tackle in the future, but for now, have this.

Kearana, officially the Princedom of Kearana (Kearanic: Kearesn on-Undernt), is a country in the south-west of Sunaral. It borders Eseria to its north and east, and Occidaléa to its northwest. Additionally, it borders Peokepaien by its southern oceanic border. It is home to approximately 14 million residents, with its Keareten Region as its most populous at a population of about 4 million. Its capital and largest city is Haske-Anel, which is additionally the capital of the Keareten Region. As a whole, Kearana is made up of 7 Regions, one Duchy (the Duchy of Heitaona), and one Special Region (the Special Heavenly Region).

The largest ethnic group are Kearesi, also known formally as Keareleosi to distinguish them from the population as a whole known as Keareali. Heitaens make up the largest minority, of which the semi-autonomous Duchy of Heitaona was formed for. Additionally, the far-eastern Taelsen Region is home to the Qalsevi ethnic group, and the north-western Yuriken Region is home to a sizable Occidaleii minority.

Officially, following the 7920-21 Clematis Revolution, there is no state religion, however, the largest religion in Kearana is the Mässenic Branch of Tolipeaism. Various other religions and sects exist throughout Kearana, most notably the Brotherhood of the Four Truths, Vekirranity (for which the Special Heavenly Region was formed) and the Ferosican Branch of Tolipeaism (mostly within Heitaona and Heitaon communities).

The modern princedom was established in 7921 with the abdication of Grand Prince (Kearanic: Io-Underel) Derren on-Meyn-Joen to his son, Hemnar on-Derren-Meyn, the Princedom succeeds the Grand Princedom of Kearana in name, adopting the Constitution of 7921, limiting Tum Keareten's general power.

Surprise colors her expression when Suri almost immediately offers her to meet their cousins, eyebrows raised and her mouth ever so slightly agape. Though she quickly remembers herself and laughs it off. Sure, it was a little insane but they were really vibing and they were having alcohol, it’s fine. “That would be cute. I would be the best honorary auntie, honestly. It would be great to just get to spoil kids without the actual pressure of having to take care of them.” Astur clasps her hands together, cooing at the image. “That’s literally the sweetest thing ever! Aww. It must be so nice that they’re so supportive.” Time seems to pass impossible fast when she’s in Suri’s company, either dazedly starting at their pretty smile or laughing at something she said. It passes in a blur but she feels warm and happy even when the inevitable goodbye happens. The pleasant buzz from the good conversation and the budding new connection have her smiling all the way through the taxi ride home. With Suri’s number saved with her name and a kiss mark emoji and their second date safely tucked away in her phone’s calender, Astur was confident to say this was one of the best nights she’s had in a while.

astur was right, suri's quick rise to fame was moving miles a minute, and she barely had any time to even reflect on what was happening. a break like this would be helpful, and even spending the evening with astur like this was rejuvenating in a sense. she smiled softly and genuinely in response to astur's observation of their hard work, thanking her silently with a slight nod. "that's okay, you can pretend to be an auntie with my cousins if you ever do meet them-- not that they aren't already spoiled, but they would love the attention." suri caught herself for a moment, knowing they were probably getting too ahead of herself talking about astur meeting her family. she certainly didn't want to scare her away and hoped that it didn't turn her away. "i mean, you are certainly the prettiest wine aunt i've ever seen, so that counts for something, right?" suri's flirtations came so naturally when she had alcohol in her system, not even questioning what came from her lips. hearing her next question, she chuckled quietly. "they love it, actually. they'll make little tiktok dances to some of them and brag to all their friends at school... it's weird to think about but the stories are cute to hear."
