Another entry for the Jacemond Summerweek 2024, using the prompts 'heat wave' and 'ice cream'. I cheated a bit by making the ice cream flavored snow (aka snowcones) instead, which felt like something people could maybe manage in Westeros.

mastiff - What would your character’s ideal home be like?

If one would ask Mar, she would grunt a grim answer that would include a small piece of land, a tiny hut and a garden with healingherbs and vegetables wherein goats and chicken woudl trample through. After all Mar is pragmatic and while she knows that she could never have enough money to buy a piece of land, she is pragmatic enough that this small house on a small piece of land was everything she should ever wish for as someone lie her- halfbreed, Sellsword, turncloak- could never wish for anything else. However, in the same manner Mar still wishs for something else, although she would never allow herself to recognize it: 

When she would think of a ideal home, she thinks of the longhouse her Greatuncle had owned. A longhouse with a big middle room in which the people living there- more than one, more than in Mars small hut in which she would live alone- would sleep, cook and live and on whichs ends would be stables for the cattle. A longhouse on whichs old beams woujld hang lines of dried appleslices and with a old cat climbing around. A Longhouse with a herbgarden and a field for crop on which more than one person would need to work on and on which seasonal wanderers would work on in the late summerweeks, while they would join the family living in the Longhouse for as long as they worked on the field.
