Can we please give Alex Summers a good character arc???? Like, unpopular opinion, I'm happy about the whole new Lorna/Alex stuff if it means they both get good arcs and good development out of it. Like Alex still being hung up on Madelyne, who is still hung up on Scott's betrayal and Sinister's creation of her is just annoying to sit through. Because she got a redemption and she got a good arc, she was no longer psycho and crazy, she didn't hate Jean. And all we got from Alex was the same stuff we always get. He's less than Scott, he's always the replacement or second best because of how Sinister and his foster family saw him. It's good stuff but something we'd already seen before. Can we get him to do anything but just be the angry younger brother of Scott that always has to defy him? It's not fair to his character and it's not fair to Scott, who constantly tries to look out for his brother and be a good, albiet overbearing, older brother, only for writers to make Alex borderline hate him if he's not damaged and not in control of himself and even then he doesn't want Scott's help. This is just utter bullshit to me. Like can I please just get one fucking comic where Alex isn't a dick for no reason and actually gets a story?? Or instead of running away, he faces his shit? Give my man some more fucking depth than his brother's sloppy seconds and willingly being her rebound boy (No offense to Madelyne Pryor).

Regardless, I'll remind that the minority indigenous groups I mentioned are in the context of a white majority, but white people do not have a monopoly on colonialism. Danny? ICE CORE. WHITE HAIR. Ghost powers he didn’t ask for? Absolutely. Dude pulls an Elsa-level isolation arc, locking himself away in the Ghost Zone like, “I’m dangerous! Stay away!” Meanwhile, Tim’s just standing there, pounding on the portal like:

Tim: “DANNY, OPEN THIS PORTAL OR I SWEAR TO EVERY ANCIENT SPIRIT—”

Danny: phasing through the wall “Tim, leave.”

Tim: “DO YOU WANNA BUILD A WEAPONIZED SNOWMAN?!”

Tim? Pure, unfiltered, chaos-goblin-Anna energy. This man will not be stopped. Danny’s trying to brood? Too bad. Tim’s already there with a 40-step plan to drag him back to reality.

The Batfam? Losing their collective minds.

Meanwhile, Danny’s trying to deal with ghost stuff quietly, but Tim? Not a chance.

• Danny: mid-battle with ghostly chaos

• Tim: kicking down a door he didn’t need to kick down “HEY, BRO, NEED BACKUP?”

Then, there’s the inevitable ice-breakdown™️ moment. Danny, tears in his eyes, freezing everything, trying to protect everyone from himself. And Tim? Unmoved. Standing there in the middle of a blizzard like:

Jazz? She’s just over here trying to be the responsible one.

Jason? He’s the sarcastic Sven equivalent, muttering from the sidelines, “Is this a twin thing? This feels like a twin thing.”

TL;DR: Tim refuses to let Danny have his broody Ghost Zone isolation arc, Danny’s one meltdown away from turning Gotham into the next Ice Age, and the Batfam is scared but too confused to ask questions.

Eddie follows up his Tiktok of an old home video of him sick with a current video of him sick. He’s congested as hell and his voice is practically gone when he croaks out, “Don’t marry teachers. They carry the plague.”

“It’s allergies. You have allergies.”

Eddie coughs pathetically and then pans the camera over to the other side of the bed. Steve, who will get a fever if you look at him too hard, has his back to Eddie.

Eddie is not reaching for him but Steve says anyways, “Don’t touch me or I will melt like a spider made of people.”

“…What does that even mean?!!!”
