“Sarada? Are you alright?” You asked the Uchiha girl, who was fuming after being in the Hokage’s office. Sumire followed right after. The purple-haired girl looked worried for Sarada, You can’t help but wonder what could’ve happened.

“I couldn’t help it…I was really harsh again.” You and Sumire sighed in relief. At least she was doing alright. As you three were walking, you reassured her that everything was right and that it wasn’t a big deal. With Lord 7th presumed to be dead, Sarada doesn’t like the fact that Shikamaru was in office. Neither did you, but there is so much that you gennin could do.

“Something isn’t right…I don’t understand them! They see Kawaki ass the seventh’s son but banish one of his as well? Nothing makes sense.” Sumire spoke. You three continued walking before stopping. From the corner of your eye, you see Eida and Daemon peeking out. The two sat down on a nearby staircase.

 “You three still haven’t givin’ up yet, huh?” Daemon questioned. You three decided to sit near them. “It’s an unwinable game, y’know.” You rolled your eyes at his words and countered. 

“So what? We both know that Boruto’s innocent. There’s no denying it-” Before you could finish your words, Eida cut you off

“But the whole village finds out you said that, then what? You’re gonna become just like him.” My mouth became empty. No words, emotions, or feelings could come out. Were you really going to betray your village for some guy? Luckily, you have friends who have the same viewpoint as you do.

“How could I ever give up!?” Sarada got up and exclaimed. You quickly pulled her down as soon as you saw the people around you, staring into your souls. She took a deep breath before asking Eida, “Got any new information?”. Your eyes widened as Eida explained what she had found out. It turns out everyone you knew has been placed under this illusion where what everyone has known about Boruto and Kawaki changed. Creating the two sides we know today.

“Is there a way to reverse it?” Sarada asked. There was a pause of silence before Eida shook her head, 

“Not that I know of-” 

“If we just explain it in a way everyone would understand. Surely that would work, right?”

As Eida and Sarad go back and forth, you notice Sumire staring at Daemon while profoundly sweating. Fuck. You thought. C’mon Sumire, stop looking. You’re gonna get us caught! This is exactly what Lord 8th told us about. Eida’s charm doesn’t work on us. If we’re lucky, Daemon won’t catch us. I snapped back into reality when Eida asked, “You sure, all three of you are my captives?” Shit, shit, shit! You looked around for distractions and possible ways out. Sumire smiled, 

“Oh please,” She groaned in annoyance. Was she really annoyed this time? “You should know by now that we’re putting a front to hide our feelings-” 

“After all,” you shot at Eida. “No one can escape being charmed by you. So what’s the point?” By Eida’s reaction, she seems to agree. 

Before you can do anything, screams from the center of the village attract your attention. You and Sarada quickly run to the middle and find unknown creatures with big heads, no eyes, small spikes plastered around their heads, dog-like feet, and a long spiked tail scattered around the village. Attempting to harm the people, Kawaki shot multiple at your derection, but you were able to dodge them.

“Follow what the shinobi say and run…NOW!” shouted Kawaki at the citizens. They did as they were told and made a run for it. One of the creatures started tweaking, and something slowly emerged out of its body. The creatures slowly creep towards you two, and out emerges a man standing on top of the creature-

CODE? You and Sarada looked at each other, you two knew the dangers of this man. As he rose, he looked down at Sarada, then you.

“Finally, nice to meet you two. I’m looking for Boruto.”

“He left three years ago. What do you want with the village?” you spoke out. He smirked. Clear as day; it was certain he had an alternative motive. Sarada took a step forward and extended her arm out in front of you, not wanting you to do anything stupid.

“I’m tired of searching, so I came here.” “Don’t know what to tell you. He isn’t here.”Code chuckled and stated.

“Oh, I know that. I just wondered if his friend’s pretty little screams can summon him-”

With a blink of an eye, it seemed as if someone’s foot smacked down Code’s face, knocking him off of the creature he was standing on. You looked up to see the sight of Boruto Uzumaki himself.

“That kind of sick thinking creeps girls out, y’know,” Boruto smirked. He quickly teleported behind Code, hitting him with a roundhouse kick. Your eyes couldn’t believe it. It’s been so long since you’ve seen him. He’s change. He’s gotten taller and a hell lot more powerful than the last time you’ve seen him. You can feel the tears surface up to your waterline.

“Boruto, you’re home. You’re really home…”

was catching up on boruto and i am genuinely shocked to see that people think anything other than boruto and sarada would be endgame? like no disrespect to the ogs love them all but kishimoto never gave a single romantic pairing in naruto this much development or base (like you could say naruto and sakura had lots of screentime together but her loving sasuke had been established from day 1 so eh)

lowkey why would i even want to ship any other female character with boruto like sumire when he’s already dedicated his life to helping sarada as hokage and now tack on his vow to sasuke on top of that. like sorry but i would rather jump off a cliff than see the man in my fav ship prioritize another woman like 💀

People say that this scene reminded them of NS eps where Sakura hugged Naruto and Hinata watched them, but for me it gives me a déjà vu to Sasusaku hug scene in the hospital where Naruto just watched them instead, Sumire's expression was so similar to Naruto's when you compare them. I feel sorry for Sumire because it seems like Boruto only has his eyes for Sarada and it's always Borusara to begin with. Oh, MK sensei I see you..

In conclusion both mother and daughter love to hug people sksksks

Yin-Yang Trope:

Sumire has Gozu Tenno mark on her left hand (Lunar side) while Boruto has her Karma mark on her right hand(Solar side).

Mitsuki's eyes are the color of Eye of Horus(Lunar eye) while Sarada's are the color of Eye of Ra (Solar Eyes).

Mitsuki and Sumire are Yin-Type characters while Boruto and Sarada are Yang-Type.

I can go on talking about the trope,But i can tell that it's more likely for MitsuSara and BoruSumi to become Endgame especially after Sarada said Boruto is like her brother and the fact that Sumire was brave enough to confess her love for Boruto while Mitsuki has never shown to be intimate with any girl except for Sarada,and both of them are quite almost always seen with each other and in Sasuke shinden they even had a Tarzan and Jane moment when a romantic song was being played.

I'm familiar with Kishimoto's tropes,and the way Boruto treats Sumire/Mitsuki treats Sarada makes it more believable knowing what happened in OG Naruto. Like how many times we were teased with those SasuSaku panels? NaruHina scenes in anime? Yeah,you might get what i mean.
