ryomen sukuna x gn/f/m reader; established relationship [y'all are married hehe], somewhat modern au, you have two twins!! [a girl and a boy], so much fluff, domesticity, dad!kuna <3 – masterlist here ☆~(ゝ。∂)
Tumblr media
sukuna taps his foot impatiently in the living room, glancing at the wall clock that ticks ominously in the silence. each passing second feels like an eternity, and his brow furrows as he lets out an exasperated sigh. he’s used to chaos, but this morning is dragging on longer than usual. muffled giggles and playful banter drift from the bedroom, piquing his curiosity and annoyance in equal measure.
with a huff, he pushes off the couch, his muscular frame moving with a mix of grace and frustration. as he strides toward the bedroom, he can feel the anticipation build, expecting to find the source of the delay. but when he steps through the doorway, he stops short, his irritation fading into surprise and a hint of amusement.
there, in front of the large mirror, stand his twin kids — a boy and a girl — both a striking resemblance of him, complete with unruly pink hair and bright, mischievous eyes exactly like yours. what catches his attention the most are the markings painted on their faces, made to mirror his own cursed tattoos. their faces are a canvas of playful designs, a mix of pink and black, swirling patterns that frame their bright smiles.
“it’s dress up as your hero day,” you explain, stepping into view beside him, your pride evident in the way you beam at the twins. your eyes, filled with warmth, glisten as you watch them with unconditional love.
the twins turn their sparkling eyes towards their father, and the girl, her excitement barely contained, leaps forward. “daddy, look! we’re just like you!” she squeals, pointing to her face, her small hand trembling with glee.
“yeah! we wanna be just like you when we grow up!” the boy adds, his grin wide and infectious as he strikes a pose, puffing out his chest like he’s ready to take on the world. he mimics one of sukuna’s iconic stances, arms crossed and a cheeky smirk plastered on his face.
sukuna’s heart swells at the sight. he crosses his arms, trying to maintain his usual tough exterior, but he can’t help the corners of his lips from twitching upwards. “you really think i’m your hero, huh?” he asks, a playful growl in his voice, softened by the warmth in his gaze.
“of course! you’re the strongest!” they chant in unison, their voices filled with admiration, making sukuna feel a surge of pride rush through him. he feels an unfamiliar, gentle warmth bloom in his chest, pushing aside his earlier impatience.
“well, i guess i can’t let you down, then,” he says, bending down to ruffle the boy’s hair affectionately while planting a soft kiss on the girl’s forehead. the tenderness in his actions surprises even him, and he quickly stands back up, trying to regain his composure.
“you better not let anyone pick on you,” he continues, his tone now serious but still laced with affection. “if they do, you tell them you’re the kids of ryomen sukuna.”
“yes, daddy!” they reply enthusiastically, their voices chiming together in a melody of innocence and joy.
you watch the interaction, a smile spreading across your face as you witness the fierce king of curses transforming into a doting father. the sight fills you with warmth, and as sukuna glances over at you, you catch a glimpse of something softer in his eyes — an uncharacteristic bashfulness that makes your heart flutter.
“alright, let’s get going before we’re late,” sukuna finally says, a hint of a smile still lingering on his lips as he gestures for the twins to follow him. his voice carries a sense of authority mixed with endearment, and the kids bounce excitedly at his command.
as you walk together, hand in hand, your little family fills the hallway with laughter as they chatter animatedly about their day ahead. feeling a sense of gratitude, you lean in closer to sukuna, nudging him playfully with your shoulder.
“you know,” you begin, a teasing tone in your voice, “you’re not just their hero. you’re mine too.”
sukuna glances down at you, his expression shifting from surprise to a smirk. “oh, really? i thought i was just the guy who does the laundry and cooks dinner.”
you chuckle, rolling your eyes. “sure, but you also happen to be the strongest curse and the coolest dad. that’s pretty heroic.”
he pretends to think it over, his lips curling into a playful grin. “i guess that makes you my sidekick then. you’re lucky to have such a strong partner.”
“right back at you, 'kuna,” you reply with a wink, feeling the warmth of his presence beside you.
with the twins leading the way, you both share a soft laugh, and in that moment, surrounded by the love of your family, you know that these little mornings together are what truly make life extraordinary.

May i rant?
The way Gege implies that Naoya and Mei were pedos and then never properly addresses it is really disappointing. Why bring up a horrific issue like that? It serves no purpose. He already made Naoya a total dick with a murderous streak and Mei a greedy bitch without regard for people. They were already obviously terrible people without the additional child predator label.
Like if he’s gonna write characters that way then have them face consequences or if he wants them to get away with it at least write more about the victims so the audience can see how tragic their situations are
Better yet he shouldn’t write that at all and just focus on more character development for the main cast
Ah, little anon, I understand that feeling. Mei Mei and Naoya are two annoying little shits and the way Gege wrote them creates this feeling of "these horrible people are always getting away with it, when will justice be served?". It's frustrating, disgusting and unnecessary. After all, as you said, they've already been presented as nasty people, so why add the list of sins to "child predator"?
Actually, this is a very serious question and I'm just a profile that talks nonsense about ITFS.
But I'll do my best to explain my point of view and why I think Gege is doing an interesting job with his manga.
Well, I'm going to talk about Mei Mei because her situation is much more complicated.
She is a jujutsu sorceress who only cares about her own personal gain, not caring much about the situation if it is sending money into her pocket. So far, we have the character established and, although it is a somewhat altruistic attitude, it is not all bad. She's still there doing her job, still exorcising curses, still giving Yuji a choice between facing a high-grade curse or the humans transfigured by Mahito. Mei Mei is a greedy bitch, but a greedy bitch who does her job at the end of the day (which is expected). Until this moment, we can only consider her an eccentric character.
The issue becomes complicated when we observe her relationship with her younger brother, Ui Ui, a 12-year-old child who is subjected to her sister's technique which consists of suicide, from what I understand. It's a strange relationship, uncomfortable to watch and irritating (Yuji's face is the reaction of all of us seeing it). There IS something strange about these two.
Then we have the Malaysian scene.
I have my own opinions about this scene, but let's move on to what most people think happened. Mei Mei is naked next to her brother suggesting they sleep together. If incest doesn't shock, pedophilia does. And it makes it even worse because this scene takes place after Nanamin says how he would like to go to Malaysia and then he dies. It is at this moment that her question comes:
"Why bring up a horrible issue like this?"
Yes, why Sensei Akutami?
Why put in this horrible scene while we're still dealing with Nanami's death?
Why give Mei Mei, the greedy bitch, Nanami's dream and dirty it with this horrible, heavy-handed insinuation?
Why do I have to watch someone horrible live while a good person dies? … Oh.
Well, this is the point.
In JJK, the world is unequal. Megumi said that herself.
Good people like Nanami, Nobara and Yuji are killed and destroyed while horrible people like Mei Mei, Naoya and Sukuna get what they want. Therefore, their depravities have no consequences. That's why Mei Mei went to Malaysia, that's why Naoya didn't take any more damage, that's why Sukuna beat Satoru.
Gege is laying his cards on the table and saying "Good can lose and evil can win. Nanami's die while Mei Mei's enjoy peace."
This is one of the reasons I believe that even though JJK is a shonen, there is a possibility for Sukuna and Kenjaku to prevail. There's this not-so-small chance that we'll see our good guys blowing up while the bad guys rest in a hotel in Malaysia.
Who knows.
Gege Akutami is unpredictable and there are more names to cross out in his Death Note.
So, to recap, Gege is purposely making bad people with terrible morals "win" to show how unequal and unfair this world is. Good doesn't always win.
It is revolting? For sure.
Would you like justice to prevail? Obvious.
Think this could happen? Perhaps. I dream of this moment.
Well, I hope I made my point clear.
I'm not good at writing analysis or playing characters. But that's more or less how I see Gege's script choices.
Sorry if I didn't talk much about Naoya. I don't remember much about his character other than that he was a misogynistic piece of shit and wanted to kill Megs. I need to reread the manga.
Thanks for the question, little Anon! I had fun writing it! :D

You read every gojohime fic???? That's amazing!!! What are your favourites?
hello anonie! i guess i can say i’ve read at least a good 80% of all the fics, at least. probably. most likely because the fic tag at the start of the year was tiny and now the community’s grown so much there’s almost 600 of them. that’s insane to me. like hello?
i have a lotta fics that come to mind, that i should honestly make a master post on because i love them all. so here are a few many that came to mind immediately as i typed this up.
gojohime fic recommendations!

limitations by ohmytheon
“Parenthood chooses you," her mother used to tell her, but Utahime never understood that saying more than the moment she realized she was pregnant with Gojo Satoru's child. They were never meant to be something serious - never meant to be more than they were - and yet they both suddenly find themselves in a world that doesn't care about their desires - and that brings them closer in a way that no one else can understand. It won't be easy and it won't be kind to either of them, but it appears as if the universe has other plans for them
no one is what they were before by ohmytheon
The world broke when Gojo Satoru turned on jujutsu society. It's not the hopeful place it was before, but Utahime has never been one to give up. Until she's placed in a dangerous position directly in his path, and she finds herself trapped in a web that doesn't seem intent on ever letting her go.
and touch me like you never by ohmytheon
In public, Gojo is a special grade bastard, especially to Utahime, and has been all their lives. He knows exactly what insults to throw and what buttons to push to drive her up a wall. In private, however, he's got quite a few other things to tell and show her, which only makes things more confusing. It would be easier if she could avoid him entirely, but for some reason, he won't let her go entirely.
gravity by aerfei
This is Utahime, fierce and indomitable, and this is Satoru, who despite holding the world’s regard, still craves something that Utahime has had all her life. Coming together is sometimes an act of desperation, and sometimes a deliberate choice. Or: An Iori Utahime character study, through the lens of her relationship with Gojo Satoru, starting from the beginning and ending at the Goodwill Event arc. Manga spoilers and (at least 95%) canon-compliant through (at least) chapter 135.

“I told my family we’re dating.” Utahime’s hand hovers over the door. “What?!” (or: Gojo tells his family that he's dating Utahime to get them off his back, so of course they invite her to the dreaded family dinner™)

At 28, Satoru Gojo's responsibilities only start to multiply. With his clan looking to him to lead the family, and the balance of the universe in his hands, Gojo isn't thinking of much else. But when his mother brings something to his attention, the only thing Gojo can do is follow through. But how is Utahime Iori part of all of this?
gojo catoru by ashittywriter
Utahime is tasked to catsit a suspiciously large Persian dollface cat with pristine white hair, the most boop-able nose, and to top it off the cutest cerulean eyes. Too bad the cat also happens to be her idiotic colleague Gojo Satoru.
at the tail-end of spring by florieneofthesea
Utahime doesn't expect to remember her ex's number off by heart but it comes in handy when she's a little less than sober outside a club in a city she's not familiar with and her battery on three percent. She just wishes things turned out differently for them. (Or, post-break up exploration where outer forces refuse to let them have their happy ending.)
a second chance by onewordmore
In another world, it wasn't Geto who sneered down at humanity, regarding them to be worthless monkeys that deserved to die. In another world, it wasn't Geto who openly defied the Jujutsu Council and brought down terror and fear to all. In another world, it wasn't just Amanai Riko who died that day, amidst the cheers and delighted cries of the insane. And Utahime was going to learn, first hand, the consequences of her own death.

A drabble series regarding Gojo and Utahime. From fluff to smut to angst to love. This is going to have it all.

At the start of winter, Utahime starts to cough up blood. She thinks maybe its just the lingering damage from her last mission, but the coughing persists and it starts to scratch her throat, and itch at her lungs and when she finally makes the trip to Tokyo to ask Shoko for her help, she doesn't even get the first word out. Shoko welcomes her at the entrance to Tokyo Metropolitan Technical School and Utahime hacks up a single, pale blue petal, smattered with blood. She stares down at the flora on the ground and wonders if she's been cursed. Utahime looks up, and Shoko's eyes are wide.

“Aha!” Gojo tugged something out of his pocket, his long fingers curled around it as he held his hand behind his back. His other hand waved before him, a cheeky grin splitting his lips. “Ora, ora! Hold out your hand.” Utahime stared flatly. “Ora, ora!” Gojo persisted, continuing to wave his hand as he grinned. “Hold out your hand already!” Utahime scowled at the hand swaying infront of her face. She had half a mind to slap the man instead, but her students were closely watching. Even Gojo’s students, the second years mainly—for Sukuna’s vessel was apologizing profusely as the brown haired girl continued kicking him while the quiet one made no effort to stop her— looked in fascination at whatever ridiculous souvenir Gojo wanted to hand her. Utahime slowly lifted her arm, already planning on throwing the thing back in Gojo’s annoying face. Gojo gets Utahime a very special kind of souvenir. Set during the start of the Goodwill arc.

itadori + sukuna, twins + babysitting
Tumblr media
This is a mix of headcanons and a fic. Also, I’m going to do this as a ‘reader was their babysitter years ago but now everyone is all grown up and seeing each other again’ type thing. And femme reader!
Sorry if Itadori is a little OOC it just fits the plot, tw: dubconish? Maybe?
Babysitting Yuji and Sukuna was fun and an easy way to make money
They were the twins a few years younger than you across the street, so it was only natural for their parents to enlist your help in watching them
The pay was good, and while dealing with Sukunas practically destructive tendencies drained you at times, it was still fun to hang out with them and grow up together
Yuji was nice and sometimes a bit of a crybaby, whether it be because Sukuna did something or because he just wanted to cry that day
He often told Sukuna off for being bad and messing with you, but a lot of the times Yuji was just trying to save face when he and Sukuna got caught doing something troublesome
Sukuna, we already know is a little devil child and lived to annoy you
Ya know the meme of ‘what do you have? A KNIFE! No!’ that is Sukuna lol he knows he can be good and get your attention that way but where is the fun in that?! Answer there is no fun in that
As they get older and their parents don’t call you around anymore, they do get sad and complain
You’re just older than them that they can’t hang out with you outside of you babysitting them, it’d be weird
So they try to let you go, but you’re always in the back their minds, especially when they see you out with friends or something and they can’t stop looking at you
They’ve always had a crush, always.
And when you go away for college every year, they’re devastated. They come to say goodbye and you ruffle their hair like you used to and promise that you’ll visit them when you come back for break
And let’s be real they mark that shit on their calendar and wait for the day you come back
Sukuna is the one to invite you into the house when you come to visit them on your school break. He can’t keep his eyes off the way you fill out your clothes and the way your ass moves when you walk. You’ve grown up a lot, but so have they.
“Aw, I remember this!” You grin, holding up a picture frame of the three of you together the summer you got braces.
“Yeah.” Sukuna chuckles and closes the door. Yuji is here too, awkwardly sitting on his bed and staring at you with hearts in his eyes. Setting down the frame, you fall back onto the bed Yuji is sitting on. Even as they grow older, they still share a bedroom, and you can see Sukunas messy half of the room.
“(Y/N).” Yuji says softly, grabbing your hand in his. This isn’t uncommon for him, he used to beg you to hold his hand when he was younger. Lacing your fingers together, the smile you send him has him squeezing your hand tightly.
Sukuna had been standing at the door for a while now, fiddling with a stereo trying to pick the right background music. Finally settling on something, you don’t hear the click of the lock on the door and you certainly don’t notice the way the two of them share a look.
“Hey (Y/N).” Sukuna grunts, sitting on your other side.
“Yeah?”
“What’s college like? You’ve been there a couple years, you’re a veteran.” He puts an arm around your shoulder, leaning back and making his chest appear bigger to try and impress you.
“I only just started my third year.” Chuckling, you lean into him a little bit.
“Yeah, but still.”
“It’s way different than high school, that’s for sure. You two will like it when you go.”
“I wish we could go to college at the same time!” Yuji groans, curling himself into your side and pouting. “I want to go to classes with you.”
“Fuck classes, I want to go to parties.” Sukuna cuts in. “College parties must be wild, huh? You can tell us, (Y/N).”
“Some of them are.” Wrapping your arm around Yuji, you adjust to let him cuddle more into your side. Sukuna lets out a loud snort and shakes his head, not believing a word you say.
“C’mon (Y/N), you can be honest. I bet all you do at these parties is drink and fuck.” Neither Sukuna nor Yuji have ever spoken to you like that before. Your relationship was always kept PG-13 at most, a few gross crude jokes about making out and having sex when you were younger, but nothing vulgar.
“Well-” Your face flushes with heat, and Yuji is quick to sit up and look at you with owlish eyes.
“Is that true, (Y/N)? You fuck at these parties?”
“Guys!” Slapping a hand over your now burning face, you don’t miss the way they chuckle. “How is that any of your business?”
“C’mon, we aren’t kids anymore! We can talk about this stuff!” Sukuna scoffs, and the arm around your shoulder shakes you from side to side. “Just tell us, it’s not that big a deal.”
“Yeah, we’re older now.” Sitting up a little straighter, Yuji’s hand that was holding yours let's go and settles on your thigh. Biting your lip, you look between the two identical boys. Their stares are unwavering and nearly enough to make you too embarrassed to speak.
“Yes, I have fucked at these parties-” As soon as the words leave your mouth Sukuna lets out a holler and laughs, jostling you further.
“I knew it!”
“What’s it like, (Y/N)?” Yuji questions, and his hand squeezes your thigh tightly. The two of them have fully encased you, making it impossible to squirm out of their hold or escape their eyes.
“I don’t know if I should tell you.” They aren’t the same young kids you used to babysit. They’re fully grown men now, still growing into themselves but old enough that if you saw them at one of your college parties, you wouldn’t bat an eye.
“Please!” It only takes Yuji a little more pushing to get you to crack.
“It’s not that great a lot of the time, really. The boys at my college aren’t the best lay if you can believe it.” Rolling your eyes at the memory of your most recent escapade, you relax a little bit. “I mean honestly, how is it impossible for them to find the clit when I literally point right at it?”
“What a joke!” Sukuna chuckles, and his arm drops to settle around your waist. His fingers splay across your ribs, cupping just under your breast. “(Y/N) if you were with us we could make you feel ten times better!”
“Yeah, okay.” Laughing lightly at the proclamation, you think nothing of the way Yuji wraps his arms around your hips. He’s got a pout on his lips and his fingers start to dip beneath the waistband of your bottoms.
“We’re serious.” He says, eyes scrunched up a little from how intense he is. “We love you (Y/N), we can make you feel better than anyone else.”
“You love me?” Quirking a brow, you look at both of them. Yuji always said he loved you when he was younger, but Sukuna had always denied it with a fierce blush on his cheeks.
“We do, what about it?” There’s the telltale blush on his cheeks. Sukuna can see your smirk and it pisses him off, so much that he pushes you down to the bed.
Wrestling with Sukuna was a pastime the two of you enjoyed when you were annoying one another. He’d push you, you’d push him, and then the two of you would end up in a mess of limbs on the floor. This time felt no different, and you fought back like you always did. Wriggling away from him and trying to pin him down, you somehow ended up in the middle of the bed with Sukuna sitting on your legs.
“Ha, I win.” He says breathlessly. It wasn’t a fair fight to be honest, he and Yuji had begun working out ever since they hit puberty, so his strength easily outmatched yours. You easily conceded and tried to sit up, but Sukuna didn’t budge.
“Let me up.” You try to yank your legs out from under him but he just pushes more of his weight on you. Yuji is on the bed as well, sitting near your chest and looking at you with that same starry eyed look. He’s not looking at you, he’s looking at the way your shirt clings to your chest, the outline of your bra clear as day for him.
“(Y/N), will you let us show you how good we can make you feel?” He asks, licking his lips nervously. His hand settles on your stomach, palm hot and itching to feel your breast. You don’t answer, and they take that as a green light.
Sukuna is the first to take his shirt off, flexing the muscles he’s worked hard to get. Yuji follows suit, and they take their pants off as well, leaving you the most dressed person in the room. There was an argument brewing in the back of your throat, saying that it was wrong to do this since you’d known them for so long. But now, seeing them as they wanted to be seen, burgeoning men that clearly had a desire to be with you, that argument seemed silly.
“What-” You start, and the word catches in your throat for a moment at what you’re about to say. “What did you have in mind?”
“Oh baby.” Sukuna lets out a low groan, an almost sickening grin stretching his cheeks. “We’ve done a lot of research.” His hands are already working your bottoms down your legs, leaving you in your panties.
“(Y/N), lift your arms.” Yuji whispers, tugging your shirt off. They’re both silent when they see your nearly naked body; something they’d fantasized about many times. Leaning down, Yuji kisses you abruptly, and that sets Sukuna off to take your panties off as well. Yuji takes your bra off, placing it with the large pile of clothes on the floor.
Climbing off your legs, Sukuna forces them open, nearly kneeing Yuji in the face when he pushes your legs up.
“Shit. Look at this.” Yanking Yuji by the shoulder, they both settle between your legs and stare directly at your cunt. In that moment, you’re reminded of their inexperience and lack of knowledge, and it’s almost innocent.
Spreading your lower lips with two fingers, Yuji leans forward, puckers his lips, and spits onto your cunt, making it clench around nothing.
Innocence, gone.
“What should we start with first?” Sukuna asks, giving you a once over.
“What do you want to do? I know you always talk about tasting her.” Yuji, always so polite, scoots back and lets his brother take up all the space between your legs.
“Thanks little bro.”
“You’re only older by two minutes.”
“Best two minutes of my life.” Laughing, Sukuna slaps your thighs with both hands and moves to lay on his stomach. “Just relax, (Y/N). We’re going to take good care of you.” Yuji is also laying down with his mouth hovering over one of your nipples.
“Yeah (Y/N).” Yujis breath fans over your nipple, and his eyes are torn between looking at you and looking at your chest. “We love you.”

Wild Tiger - Gojo and Yuji
Tumblr media
If Megumi and Geto together represesent the black yin, then their respective counterparts Yuji and Gojo both embody the white yang. Thus, Yuji and Gojo as mentor and student are two characters who are very similiar in nature. Rather than passive, feminine,  yin standing in the shadows they both are active, masculine yang standing in the light. More on the foiling between Yuji and Gojo underneath the cut.
1. The Strongest
There are a lot of similarities between both Yuji and Gojo you can point out right away. They are both light haired. They are both the more lighthearted person in the duo, the cheerful, silly ones in comparison to their dark haired more self serious counterparts. Yuji and Gojo both tend to come off as normal teenagers, they drop pop culture references, flirt with girls, read manga. If Geto and Megumi tend to be the more brooding ones, removed from the world around them and stuck inside their own heads it’s Gojo and Megumi who are actively taking part in the world as much as they can.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Basically, in any situation they’ll be the ones less inclined to take that situation seriously, whereas Geto and Megumi are prone to be the ones to take the situation too seriously. Despite the fact that Yuji and Gojo are the more childish of the duo and act like teenagers (Gojo acts like a teenager even as an adult, isn’t he impressive) and more prone to being emotional rather than overthinking there’s also a serious level of distance between themselves and their feelings.
Gojo notices this about Yuji right away, despite the fact that curses are by some definition “alive”, Yuji doesn’t show any hesitation at all in fighting against them and killing them. It’s odd for what was a normal teenager before this point to act this way, to not even be a little scared by curses. Gojo marks Yuji out as one of the “crazy ones like him right away because they both suffer from this disconnect between their head and their heart.
Tumblr media
Yuji and Gojo are parallel. Yuji’s craziness is Gojo’s craziness. They even go on similiar journeys before becoming the strongest. In the beginning of Yuji’s character development, and the flashback chapter for Gojo they both experience the same thing. First, a near death happens at the hands of an enemy. Until this point Yuji and Gojo have always been the strongest. Yuji has always been like olympic levels of athletic (for some reason), both Yuji and Gojo were always good at whatever they tried when they were younger and never tasted a serious defeat.
Tumblr media
That is until they experience their near-death and taste weakness for the first time.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
After this point they both flip. Rather than being humbled by their near defeat they become arrogant. Yuji’s flip is more literal, he flips from the dominant personality Yuji, to the other personality within him the curse Sukuna. Gojo, after unlocking the secrets of reverse jutsushiki and perfecting the unlimited becomes more arrogant. These moments are meant to be paralleled to each other, we’re supposed to see Sukuna’s arrogance in Gojo’s apparent flip after becoming the strongest because they both quote the same text “ Tenjou tenge yuiga dokuson. It means “Above heaven, under heaven, I am alone worthy of honor”.
These scenes are further paralleled, because they also fail to save someone. Gojo fails to save Riko, because he let Toji through when he promised Geto that he would cover his back as the strongest.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yuji similiarly fails to save Junpei, after offering him a chance to come back to Jujutsu High with him and fight together. They also both fail to save the person they wanted to save for the same reason, because they failed to take the situation seriously enough and got sloppy. Yuji forgot Nanami’s warning to him to watch out for the patchwork faced spirit, and Gojo got so arrogant he dropped his guard around Toji.
Tumblr media
After these failures however, Yuji and Gojo’s solutions is always to become prouder rather than to humble themselves. They always end up seeking out more and more strength. When Yuji loses Junpei, his response is to flip to being angry and killing Mahito. When Gojo loses Riko, his response is to go on a power trip. They always both double back on strength. This is a parallel to this.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Which is why Gojo and Yuji click and get along so well, they think the exact same way, they both are convinced the solution to every problem is to just try to be the strongest so you will never lose. Yuji and Gojo have this weird understanding of each other, Yuji thinks Gojo is an admirable person and is always listening to him just because he’s the strongest, Gojo thinks Megumi should learn to swing for the fences more like Yuji.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
2. I Alone Am the Honored One
Yuji and Gojo’s strongest character trait is both their pride, the pride they take in themselves, the pride they take in being the strongest. However, pride isn’t a sin. It is for the both of them a strength and a weakness. Yuji and Gojo are both people dedicated to improving themselves, to lifting themselves up to be the best individuals they can be. While they’re obsessed with becoming stronger, they also use their strength pretty unselfishly. Megumi and Geto are both people who choose who to save. Geto only cares about sorcerers, Megumi only cares about what he arbitrarily deems as good people.
Gojo is someone who is constantly working to save the masses, he does the most missions out of all the jujutsu sorcerers and is constantly busy exorcising curses for the sake of everyone to the point where his job is his whole life. He also, doesn’t just force everyone to submit to his strength by killing all the higher ups until he’s left. He’s not a tyrant. He works within the system to help people because he’s always choosing his actions along the lines of what will help the most people possible.
Tumblr media
Gojo and Yuji are both self centered people who use their strength in an unselfish manner, though for different reasons. Yuji is emotionally moved to helping people, and Gojo is tied down by using his powers responsibly. However, despite using their strength for the sake of other people they are also both strongest when they are alone and this is a weakness for them.
Tumblr media
They both make the same decision and the same mistake in the Shibuya arc, which is to run off ahead alone even when they have back up they could have waited for because they assume that everything will just be better if they handle it entirely by themselves.
Tumblr media
Gojo goes all the way down to the subway alone and gets boxed. Every fight that Yuji faces alone in Shibuya arc (against a name character that matters) he loses. He loses to Choso, as a result of deciding to run ahead of Megumi instead of waiting for backup. He was completely losing to Mahito, and would have died had Todo not shown up to give him backup. Kamo Noritoshi Sr. even tells this to Yuji directly to his face, you alone are not enough.
Tumblr media
Yuji fails to get Gojo’s box back by himself, and once again has to be saved by people working together as a team, the Kyoto students led by Utahime (somebody Gojo dubbed as weak) showing up to interrupt the fight. Yuji and Gojo are both the most active characters always running off to save people, however strength isn’t enough to save people, especially when they’re acting alone. This leaves both of them feeling insecure, because they try alone, and fail alone, they believe that they themselves are not enough.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
These scenes once again are parallels. They try to save people, and then when they fail hold themselves entirely responsible. Their habit of acting alone also comes from this distance between themselves and their emotions which I described earlier. Yuji and Gojo only see themselves in their utility to the other people around them. Yuji has to be doing something in order to help others.
Tumblr media
Both Yuji and Gojo are consumed by what I am going to dub the “chosen one complex” where they have to believe there’s a reason that they’re given such tremendous strength. They have to use their strength in order to help others. Otherwise, why do they exist? Neither of them allow themselves to exist unless it’s in service of others. Yuji can’t live on unless he’s helping people like his grandfather told him. Gojo HAS to hold the whole Jujutsu World on his shoulders.
In other words they see themselves and their relationships with others in this way. People can’t simply like Yuji and Gojo, they need to need them. Yuji is surrounded by allies because he is useful to them, because he’s strong enough to be around them. They see everything even themselves through the lens of strength. Nobody would want to be with them if they were weak. Geto didn’t like Gojo, they were only together because they were the strongest together.
Tumblr media
If you’re not strong people will leave you behind. That is the only way Yuji and Gojo can comprehend their tangible connection to other people. That’s also why we see a similar emotional denseness for both Gojo and Yuji. It’s not that Gojo is uncaring, he does actually take notice of people’s feelings and tries to be considerate in his own way.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They both notice small little details about people while missing huge ones. Gojo noticed something was off about Geto because he was interested in him and observing him that close, but he took him at his words that he was fine when he was in the middle of his mental breakdown and was caught completely offguard by it. There’s an entire chapter about the small little details that Yuji notices about people.
Tumblr media
However, Yuji and Megumi fail at basic communication and are constantly hiding secrets from each other, the same way that Geto and Gojo once did.
Tumblr media
They are at the same time extremely observant, and emotionally dense, and this is entirely about how they see themselves. Yuji and Gojo can only exist in service to others. They’re only going to be surrounded by people if they are strong enough. Which is why they also wish for what is exactly the same thing. Yuji wants to die surrounded by people, and Gojo wants allies that are just as strong as he is. However, they both go about it in the entirely wrong way. What Gojo wants is people who are as strong as him to be equal with him. However what Gojo needs is to emotionally open up to people and allow other people to be equals with him on an emotional level because they don’t need to pass some physical test of strength.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Gojo and Yuji are both characters who want to be surrounded by people, and yet they’re always running off ahead of everyone else to die alone. That’s the contradiction about themselves they need to fix, in order to keep living as more well balanced people. That’s why they both need Geto and Megumi as the other halves of the equation, because they can’t solve it on their own.

— fushiguro megumi.
now playing: when i look into your eyes (feat. lanie) by khaki dreams
to put it bluntly, fushiguro sucks at emotions.
he’s often been told that he’s too cold or unfeeling.
it’s through no fault of his own that he doesn’t exactly have the greatest grasp on emotions and feelings.
but it is the reason why he has such a difficult time discerning what he feels for you.
your relationship is platonic, but is fushiguro content with that or does he desire more?
fushiguro isn’t exactly against the idea of love, but it’s not like he’s actively searching it out.
due to the low number of first years, you’re a tight knit group. you’re all close to one another, however your personality meshes best with nobara and itadori.
as fushiguro attempts to figure out his feelings, he unconsciously pulls away from you. he doesn’t hangout with you as often and is much more quiet than usual, which is saying something.
nobara tells you that fushiguro’s just been fushiguro when you mention how he seems more closed off than he normally is, but you’re concerned for the divide he’s creating between the two of you.
meanwhile fushiguro is undergoing his own emotional turmoil.
fushiguro pulls away so much from you that you end up confronting him. you express your worries for him and question if everything’s all right with him.
and when fushiguro lifts his head to meet your gaze, he knows where his feelings lie.
in that moment, fushiguro realizes that he wants to be more than a friend to you.
— gojo satoru.
now playing: 505 by arctic monkeys
gojo satoru is like a thorn in your side that you just can’t seem to get rid of no matter how hard you try.
you’ve known each other for so long that your relationship with the man is certainly complicated to say the least.
you’d tentatively say that the two of you are currently friends, but it’s difficult to be friends with someone who was once your everything.
you had been friends with benefits for awhile before you two became lovers. dating gojo was a natural progression of your relationship and it came so easy to the two of you. it was nice. for awhile at least. before it all came crashing down.
you became fed up with how he treated your feelings so lightly as if they didn’t matter. so you broke up with him.
the break up took a toll on you, but it hurt more seeing how gojo appeared to be so unaffected by it.
but enough time has passed since then that you can say your current relationship isn’t as bad as you would’ve thought considering you’re coworkers with your ex-boyfriend.
gojo is still as flirty and charming as ever.
you truly believe that it’s this man’s mission in life to bother you.
it’s not that you don’t still have feelings for gojo, but you don’t want to get hurt like you did last time.
your feelings aren’t something to be played with and you refuse to let gojo in again just for your relationship to wind up like it did before.
gojo knows that his actions affect you even if you pretend they don’t. he notices the way you stumble over your words before quickly composing yourself when he accidentally brushes his hands against your lower back. the way your eyes widen before you glare at him when he makes a sexual innuendo in front of your shared students.
but what gojo didn’t know is how bad the breakup affected you.
gojo never stopped loving you, but you were the one to break up with him. if you didn’t want to be with him that was fine, he would just act like he was completely okay with that. gojo was able to keep up the appearance that he was okay after you left, but he missed you a lot.
and when you break down in tears in front of gojo asking why he’s messing with your head when you know he doesn’t love you anymore, gojo’s heart drops.
a serious expression crosses his face when he gently places his hands on your cheeks to tilt your head up to meet his eyes. with his thumbs he wipes away your tears and asks, “who said i didn’t love you anymore?”
— itadori yuuji.
now playing: whoa by snoh aalegra
itadori’s crush on you is so apparent to everyone.
but it’s not like he’s attempting to hide it at all.
the way he trails after you like a puppy confirms that.
he tries to spend as much time with you as he can and hangs off of your every word.
most of the time he’s not actually listening to you though. he really does try to follow what you’re saying, but then he gets distracted by how nice you look in the sunlight and how you look really good in your uniform that he’s startled when you jog him out of his daydreaming.
he flushes and apologizes for getting distracted and asks if you could repeat what you said. you don’t get mad when that happens and just laugh it off, and itadori is so captivated by the sound of your laughter that you ask if something’s on your face with how hard he’s looking at you.
so it’s no secret that itadori harbors a crush on you. everyone is aware of that fact except one person: you.
it’s not you haven’t been told that before. nobara along with a couple of your upperclassmen have confirmed that itadori does indeed have a crush on you, but you just don’t believe it.
how could itadori have a crush on someone like you? you’re sure he doesn’t view you as anything more than a friend.
nobara bluntly tells you that itadori literally never shuts up about you, but you’re still adamant that he only thinks of you as a friend.
it’s not that you don’t like itadori, it’s quite the opposite.
you like him a lot. how could you not? he’s cute and kind and does dumb stuff to make you laugh.
it’s a bit silly, but being by itadori’s side fills you with confidence. you feel like you could exorcise any curse if itadori’s with you. maybe it’s because itadori has so much confidence in you that you can’t help but feel the same.
but you’re convinced that itadori doesn’t like you in that way and itadori can’t seem to tell you that he does.
your friends are sick of your pining dumbasses.
but before they can formulate a plan to get the two of you together, you and itadori figure it out for yourselves.
you’re hanging out like usual, relaxing outdoors after a long day of sparring. you’re staring up at the clouds floating through the sky while itadori lies beside you. he’s admiring the slope of your nose and the curve of your lips when you turn your head to meet his gaze.
your eyes widen when you realize that itadori’s already looking at you, but you don’t say anything. you part your lips open to say something when the silence lingers for a bit too long, but itadori beats you to it.
“can i kiss you right now?”
itadori looks shocked that he said that. you blink once, trying to comprehend what itadori just asked. you blink again before nodding. your voice cracks a little when you respond with “y-yeah.”
— kugisaki nobara.
now playing: cloud nine by beach bunny
nobara is confident in herself. she prides herself on being independent and never searching for validation in the form of other people.
she knows her own worth and won’t let anyone else diminish it or tell her otherwise.
but she must admit that there is no feeling comparable to when she’s with you.
others have complained to her before that she’s loud and self-absorbed. nobara’s never really cared for what others thought of her.
but she’s happy that you don’t think of her that way.
nobara doesn’t have to worry about how she comes across because you love her for who she is.
you love how blunt she can be. you love how she always sticks up for herself and how unafraid she is from backing down.
you love how she won’t let others talk bad about you either. you insist that she doesn’t have to and that you can handle it yourself, but nobara just tells you that “nobody gets to talk shit about my s/o.”
your favorite thing ever is when you manage to catch nobara off-guard with a compliment. normally when you compliment her, she replies “i know,” with a grin on her face, which makes you fall even further for her.
but sometimes when you’re feeling particularly soft, you tell her something along the lines of, “you’re so beautiful and i’m really lucky to call you mine.” nobara goes red and will only manage a shaky “s-shut up,” in response as she tries to hide her flush.
to say the least, you are completely and utterly whipped for nobara. not that you’re complaining about it.
it’s safe to say that you adore her.
nobara loves you just as much in return.
if her confidence ever falters, all it takes is you gently squeezing her hand, reminding her that you’re there beside her, for any doubt to fade away.
because when you’re around, nobara knows she can face any challenge that comes her way. she’s not alone and she has you to support her through anything.
— nanami kento.
now playing: care by sonder
nanami and you both have busy lives.
as sorcerers, you don’t exactly have a lot of down time. you make it work, though.
lately it seems you’ve been running yourself ragged.
you’ve been assigned more missions as of late and nanami’s barely seen you in the past week.
the only prolonged period of time he’s spent with you is when you’re both asleep and even then, you slip into bed late into the evening.
besides that it’s a rushed kiss here and a quick i love you there.
he’s concerned for your well-being. it’s not healthy to be working so often especially in your line of work, which requires you to be in top mental and physical condition.
so when you come home from your latest mission, nanami’s there to greet you at the door.
you’re surprised to see him waiting up for you considering it’s late at night.
he’s dressed in more relaxed clothing, and laying on the couch, thumbing through a book.
when he hears the front door creak open and sees you stumble inside, nanami places the book down and looks at you.
“i ran a bath for you already. after you get dressed, you can eat the dinner i prepared.”
you give him a tired, but grateful grin in return and cheekily ask him to join you in the bath.
nanami denies your request, but he does sit on the edge of the bathtub to keep you company. he’ll wash your hair and your back for you, and the tension in your shoulders melts away when nanami drags his hand in between them.
he hands you a towel to dry off along with one of his t-shirts and a pair of sleep shorts for you to change into.
after you change into your clothes for the night, you drag yourself into the kitchen and come up behind nanami, wrapping your arms around his middle and nuzzling your face into the space in between his shoulders.
“thank you, kento,” you sleepily tell him, pressing a kiss to his back.
nanami turns around in your hold to press a kiss to your forehead, “always, my love.”
— sukuna ryomen.
now playing: hold me down by daniel caesar
sukuna loathes how he feels for you.
it’s pathetic that the king of curses harbors any sort of fondness for a mortal.
you drive him mad. he cannot fathom what it is that draws him to you.
but sukuna finds it oh so amusing that you like him.
you’re painfully obvious about your little puppy dog crush on him.
he loves popping up while itadori is talking to you and will insert himself into the conversation.
he aims to fluster you and revels in the way your words will falter and you’ll start tripping up on what you were saying.
although he likes teasing you, sukuna enjoys it even more when you respond with a quip of your own.
it makes you even more interesting.
you’re intriguing to sukuna.
you don’t approach him with the same fear that other sorcerers do. instead, you approach him with almost a child-like curiosity. you often ask him questions that others never have before like you’re actually interested in what he has to say. you’re a rather strange human, he thinks.
once sukuna accepts that his soft spot for you isn’t going away at all, rather it seems to be getting larger, he gets so possessive. you’re his little human now.
sukuna loves hearing you say that you love him. will make you repeat yourself over and over again. it’s like a boost to his ego.
you tease that he’s your favorite curse, but sukuna’s response is something like “obviously i am.”
you’re the only thing that sukuna has any sort of attachment to so he’s very protective over you.
will not hesitate to strike anyone down that even contemplates harming you because you're his.
