FACTS ABOUT CHAE

She was born just a second away from january 1, 1987. There were a number of confusions during her trainee days because she was registered in 1989. 

Her biological parents are Min Sun-ah and Park Seong-hun. Her mother is a neurosurgeon while Her father was a choreographer and stage director. Both of them were skilled and known dancers in Korea.

When she turned 2, her parents divorced each other because her father cheated on her mother.

Chae fell in love with dancing and skateboarding ever since she was 2 years old.

Her mother, Sun-ah, had gotten a new boyfriend namely Boo Yong-su who was also a dancer and choreographer.

Chae’s had a talkbalk and rebellious attitude even when she was young.

Chae went to the same school as her bandmate Donghae. She’s also very close to his family. She would’ve had been in 13 fights if it weren’t for Donghae. She only got into 9 fights.

None were caused by her, it was because of bullies.

While working, she was scouted 4 times, 1 by YG Ent. then 3 times by two scouting agents from SM Ent. and finally Lee Soo Man (LSM) himself came to scout her. She finally accepted Lee Soo Man’s offer.

Chae eventually had to leave school in 2000 and had to continue her school in 2004

Her life as a trainee, she was given a tougher and longer training compared to others because LSM wanted her to be the best and because she had a lot better foundation in dancing and rapping as well as singing.

Chae got into SM Ent. in May 1998. Her first stats when she got in was dancing - 6, singing - 5, rapping - 6, acting - 2 (1= lowest, 6= expert) making her the only sm trainee ever to get these stats.

Chae has 1 younger brother, Park Changmin.

She took care of them as much as she could as her father died of cancer in 2000.

Enough about her childhood, its time for random facts

Chae is considered as the BEST dancer in the Korean Industry and is known worldwide as a world-class dancer. She is able to cater to majority of the dance styles and genres with ease.

She also has major skills in freestyling, choreographing and battle dancing

She has helped written and produce majority — if not all of super junior’s songs, even sub-unit songs and songs for other groups. She writes and produces all of her songs in her solo albums and produces / writes songs for other groups

Chae is the korean artist with the most written or produced songs with 278 songs

She had debuted in 2000 in a hiphop group Honey Family with Miryo of BEG when she was recruited underground with the stage name TROUBLE.

TROUBLE also is the name she uses in producing and underground thing.

She also debuted with Heechul and Leeteuk in a group called DI-VERSE that surprisingly went well in 2003.

Chae is very very blunt and straightforward. She is a diva. She’s sarcastic and fearless — really. She’s not scared of anything or anyone.

Chae is a dork. And an incredibly funny dork. She is known for her extreme adlibs in songs and in variety shows.

Is known as the most rebellious and troublemaker artist in Korea.

Though not a bad thing, she has never smoked, been in a scandal or have been caught with a problematic behavior from the start of her career till now.

When she was a trainee, a trainer told her to keep her long hair and to keep it black but she cut it short the next day and dyed it blonde. She got yelled to lose more weight. the next time they met, she gained 5 kg and got yelled at by them. SM told her to give write an apology but instead she laughed and wrote a song on the paper instead.

She doesn’t wear make up most of the time and if not needed. Her bare face is also praised all the time because of how perfect her skin is.

Can play 6 instruments. Drums and Guitar as her favorite.

Chae is a boss in drinking, she never gets drunk and can drink for two days straight.

She has an extreme allergy to nuts and cucumber. Even if she eats just a small bit of it, her throat swells up snd she gets difficulty in breathing.

Chae is an advocate and an ambassador for anti-bullying, equality and animal and child welfare.

She is one of the richest musicians in the world and is the richest in Korea with a net worth of $350 million.

Is called “sleep switch” because of how fast she can fall asleep whenever and wherever. But she is hard to wake up in the morning.

She hates aegyo.

Chae can NOT cook. Please don’t let her cook.

She is voted as the scariest member but also the member with the most patience.

On May of 2011 she was appointed as the creative director of sm, as she is one of the stockholders, giving her the task to be the one to console artists about their problems.

Chae is the only member even pre-debut to bug Heechul and Leeteuk even if they’re in a bad mood

Chae used to live in the 12th floor with Heechul, Hangeng, Kangin, Leeteuk and was Heechul’s roommate. They did sleep on one bed.

Heechul and Leeteuk stated that they will both protect Chae with their entire life and that she’s the most important person in their life.

Chae is the CEO of Label SJ but she only gets creative power. 

Is the best at business, contracts, laws and negotiating. Chae negotiated with SM Entertainment in 2010 to change their contract about the profit distributions, issues about the group and more freedom in music. after a few battles, SM Entertainment agreed and their profit distributions became a lot bigger than before.

Chae once got into a rumor of her being bi / lesbian in 2008 with numerous female idols.

she was involved in a fatal car crash along with kyuhyun, leeteuk, shindong, eunhyuk and their managers. she suffered critical blood loss and several broken ribs and other serious injuries.

Chae curses the most.

She is the God of flirting. She flirts with anyone.

She is also nicknamed “stone” because of how hard she is to fluster especially during shows and also just because of her stone bitch face that she shows during boring times.

Chae is very picky with men when it comes to age, she doesn’t like —slash does NOT date younger men except for lee seunggi and another guy.

Is well-known for being friends with a lot of people or literally anyone. She is the absolute person you don’t want to mess with because she knows everybody’s secret.

She knows all of the suju members’ secrets.

Despite knowing all of her members’ secrets, she had a hard time in telling people of her problems and feelings. Most of the time she keeps to herself where her depression becomes worse.

Chae has had depression and anxiety ever since she was young. Sometimes it became very serious but sometimes she overcame it.

Her depression reached its peak during 2011 to the point that during a performance for her fanmeeting, she slowly attempted to jump off a platform that held her high above the stage. Thankfully she stopped herself by gripping the handpost.

She is the strongest pillar of super junior despite her anxiety.

In 2008, a group of people started an organization to make her leave the group and give her a lot of hate. With the name Only Male. Her supporters were already big at that time so they sued the organization and got them to leave Chae alone.

During Eunhyuk’s scandal with IU in 2012, she protected Eunhyuk against very malicious comments.

She even let the management reveal her and Lee Seunggi’s dating news just so Eunhyuk won’t get the hate. And it came out badly. Chae got all of the hate especially for being together with the nation’s younger brother who had a very innocent image in contrast to her rebellious and sexy image.

Though Chae didn’t care. She was glad Eunhyuk didn’t get hate about it as more.

In an episode of Exploration of the human body, Chae was tasked to get the tears of each of her groupmates. (that was when they still promoted with hangeng, 2008) Surprisingly with the hidden camera prank her and her manager did the members all cried quickly without knowing about the prank.

Chae developed problem where she doesn’t cry. She gets scared to cry because of her trauma with her step-father. From the past year of Super Junior, Chae had only cried once and thats only 3 tears during the funeral of leeteuk’s grandparents.

Her close friends outside SJ and outside SM are: G-Dragon, TOP, Jessi, Lee Hyori, Rain, the whole njttw cast and Dara

Chae is incredibly blunt, she is much more straightforward, blunt and savage than Kim Heechul or any Korean idol / artist at that fact

Junmyeon, stage name Suho (meaning "guardian"), is a South Korean singer, songwriter, and television, film, and musical actor. He is the leader and lead vocalist of EXO. 

This post is part of an effort to celebrate the accomplishments of EXO over the past 10 years and to provide tangible avenues for supporting these artists in 2022 (when they will likely be leaving SM Ent.) and beyond 🖤

✰ || THE BAKERY is the fourth mini album by SNS, released by SM Entertainment on March 29th, 2021. It is available both physically and digitally, and features six songs, with “Apple Pie” being its title track. SNS promoted “Apple Pie” from March 30th to April 17th, also holding special stages for b-side tracks “Cherry on top” and “Stupid Cupid”. The girls were able to bring home 6 music show wins over the promotional period. the outfits were so quirky and cute, very different from their previous concepts

not a single outfit ever feature pants, they were always in dresses or skirts

the addition of aprons were the most popular accessory options and were featured in over half of the outfits

if they weren’t in apron based dresses, they had sweets covering their body or looked like they worked in a candy shop 

aprons, big bows, fluffy tutu/skirts, bright pastel colors, stockings, etc were the most prominent accessories 

the girls were usually wearing their designated color in some way

all the girls had different shades and styles of blonde hair for both the mv and most of their first week of promotions

yuki bleached her hair for the first time ever in her life and got rid of her signature thick bangs, rocking a ashy blonde to pink ombre

mika and josie cut their hair short for the first time in their careers, as well as cutting cute whispy bangs

yuki was the first member to dye their hair, going a pretty shade of pink and debuting it on the 3rd

mika was next, showing off a vibrant orange bang look on the 5th

yuri went a mint green on the 7th and josie went a heavy blue on the 9th

piper dyed her hair a dark vibrant purple that featured magenta thick highlights on the 12th

soyee was the last one to dye her hair, going ashy blonde that faded into a multitude of rainbow colors on the 14th

first mini under sm!!

fans had a lot of anticipation for this mini considering it had to be pushed back due to piper’s injuries

she was good to go physically by their comeback stage but that didn’t stop sugar babies from showering her in love and concern

the concept and styling for this comeback had similar vibes to red velvet’s red side, orange caramel, and wjsn chocome, which a lot of fans from each group enjoyed

the comeback stage was decorated to look like a huge cupcake factory, it was so extravagant for no reason we love it

the merch for this omg!!!

they release cute little aprons that were color coordinated with each girls and featured their signature along the ribbon tie 

they also dropped baking starter kits that were designed around the girls and the mv :( it was so cute :(

sm gave them their first solo online concert!!

the girls had so much fun performing and interacting with fans, even if it was through a screen

they can’t wait to go on a world tour once the pandemic is settled and over :(

mika kept up her youtube channel show called ‘sugar plum slumber party!’. this time featuring members of wayv, exo, suju, and snsd

their vlive channel was heavily active, each girl was live basically everday they had so much fun

yuri got her own vlive+ show called “yuri! let’s bake!” and it was the cutest weekly baking show known to man. a sns member guest starred each week and they all had so much fun :(

yuki and piper once again had major tension which caused a lot of concerns with fans

piper avoided the topic at all cost when it was brought up and yuki just shrugged it off by blaming it on “roommate drama”

sm created a pop up “bakery truck” outside of the sm building that sold sweets and treats that the girls love

every once and a while, the girls would work a short shift within the food truck and meet with fans :(

overall a good era concept and chart wise but a lot of tension could be felt behind the scenes

Clap clap clap~ Debuted in 6 Nov 2005(,) & now it’s 6 Nov 2017~ Wow(,) we’ve spent 12 birthdays together since we first met(,) I find that really amazing & am thankful(,) I’m really excited & curious to know how this will continue on in the future~ Right? Really.. I want to congratulate (everyone) face to face.. Such a pity ㅠ Because I have to finish my military duties(,) I’m still here in this place.. So I hope my words can bring across my feelings. ^^ Really thank you! For protecting/watching over me~! From the first thing till the last where I can’t even count & list down everything(,) thank you again. There are a lot of things which I’ve yet to do with the hyungs yet & also cool things which I want to show.. Sides which I’ve saved (for later)~ Sides of Suju which will never change, sides of us which everyone are proud of etc(,) I want to meet everyone soon & be able to welcome the 13th anni, 14th anni together. Everyone is gonna be (with me) till then(,) right? I’m also constantly working hard in here so that I won’t lose my touch(,) & most importantly(,) I’ll do well healthily till the day we’ll be able to meet & hold hands. Therefore(,) be healthy & you can’t fall sick!! Also(,) members whom I love(,) thank you for being my side during my difficult times(,) listening to me & for being reliable~ It really seems like I’m able to write letters like this every month because of the members. Till now(,) whenever I give autographs(,) instead of just ‘Ryeowookie’(,) I proudly sign off as ‘Super Junior’s Ryeowook’. Even though I’ll still be doing it in the future! I always feel thankful whenever I do it & in order to be able to write ‘Super Junior’ well in front of my name(,) I’ll work hard(,) too~ ^^ Everyone must also help to see if the name is still written well there~ If you feel like it’s missing(,) do help to catch it~ Till date(,) we’ve overcame tiring, & difficult things~ Even though there were times where our feet hurt so we sat down & cried(,) we tightened our shoe laces(,) made up our minds(,) stood back up & continued to walk(,) didn’t we. How do I know about 17: One of my friend was 17's fan, and she shared the video of their "U" cover stage on her wall. My eyes got caught by Jun immediately, as I used to be in favor of Suju and Heechul in particular. That was late 2016, but only after DWC was released later on, I started to follow them and officially slipped into the diamond life after finish watching OFD in Japan.

Happy 14th Anniversary, Super Junior !

RADARMALANGID – Tagar #14YearsWithSuperJunior terpantau bertengger di jajaran topik populer Twitter Indonesia dan dunia sejak kemarin (5/11). Ya, fans kompak merayakan ulang tahun ke 14 boyband legendaris Kpop, Super Junior.

Tak hanya satu tagar, ELF atau Everlasting Friends, sebutan fans Super Junior, juga menambah tagar #SuperJunior14thAnniversaryKillEveryone untuk memeriahkan hari jadi idolanya. “Happy 14th Anniversary,” tulis salah satu member, Yesung, melalui akun twitternya @shfly3424. Pria berusia 35 tahun tersebut juga turut mengunggah foto grup dengan kostum putih yang senada.

Foto yang sama diunggah sang grup leader, Siwon Choi, di akun instagram. “Perayaan 14 tahun kita berjalan bersama.. Aku melihat lurus ke waktu depan dan aku gembira. Terima kasih. Aku cinta kalian, mari rayakan 14th anniversary kita. Cheers!,” tertulis pada keterangan foto.

Debut pada 2005, Super Junior atau Suju populer dengan hit single ‘Sorry, Sorry’, ‘Mr. Simple’, dan ‘Bonamana’. Dibawah asuhan SM Entertainment, Suju berhasil menjadi grup Kpop paling laris selama bertahun- tahun. Saat ini SuJu hanya menyisakan 9 anggota aktif yakni Leeteuk, Heechul, Yesung, Shindong, Eunhyuk, Donghae, Siwon, Ryeowook, dan Kyuhyun.

Album baru berjudul ‘TIMELINE’ pun dirilis SuJu untuk menyambut ulang tahun ke 14 mereka . Dilansir melalui AllKpop (6/11), album kesembilan ini akan berisi foto dari set video ‘SUPER Clap’ dan pre rilis lagu ‘I Think I’. TIMELINE merupakan versi spesial album ‘Time_Slip’ yang dirilis pada Oktober lalu.

Chae’s childhood

*this would be a little more serious than the next parts of her life so putting it out there*

warnings: mentions of abuse, killing, depression, physical and emotional abuse (i don’t if there’s more please read with caution)

Parents: Min Sun-ah and Park Seong-hun

Both of them are very well known dancers in S. Korea

Sun-ah is also a neurologist

They divorced when Chae was 2 years old because they fell out of love and Sun-ah thought her husband cheated on her

but he didn’t. They just fell out of love

Sun-ah then met her boyfriend Yong-su who is also a dancer

They raised her pretty well

Chae started dancing when she was 2

Sun-ah and Yong-su helping her out

Mainly Yong-su since Sun-ah was busy with the hospital

Their family was really close to the Lee’s aka Donghae’s family because they were right next to each other

The Lee’s even letting Chae sleep in their house for fun

Sometimes even have Donghae and Chae farm 

Reason why they’re so close

Everything was fine until Yong-su eventually got into gambling and alcohol

That’s when he started physically discipling Chae even in the littlest things like messing up choreography

Chae, being a very talk-balk person talk-balked at him every time he hurt her

But he would only get madder

He became more abusive to her and her mother, hurting her mother if she didn’t give him money for alcohol

His abusive act towards Chae became much more harsher, every day she would get a new bruise or cut

Sun-ah couldn’t do anything because he threatened to kill Chae if she does anything

 Chae took all of those beatings every day while still having to go to school

Donghae would notice her bruises but she would brush him off, not wanting him to get involved scared that he might get hurt

When she got to school, there were times where she would encounter her fellow schoolmates getting bullied

And of course she can’t just ignore it

So she’d get into fights trying to defend them

And what comes with fights? Principal’s office

Yong-su would get called into the principal’s office so much

He wouldn’t care though

He was actually surprised to see Chae still being able to fight in her state

When they get home, he would discipline her much more harsh

Every time Chae cries she would get hit harder

That’s where she developed her phobia of crying

Every time she would cry, she would see visions of her stepfather hurting her

Her mother felt very sorry

Each time she went back home Chae would have sometimes have blood in her legs, hands and face

She helped her in treating her bruises

They felt sorry for each other. Both of them were abused

That’s why Chae created Impulse dance crew when she was 12

And also why she joined multiple sports

So she could stay away from home

She’s the leader of Impulse dance crew, with the three core member: her, Donghae and Jihoon

Impulse dance crew is for another part 

Back to her family, when Chae turned 10 she was forced to work in Seoul because Yong-su had made Sun-ah quit her job

Chae worked 4 jobs back to back and went back to mokpo from seoul until she debuted

4 jobs because she was still young and she could only do jobs in cafes and restaurant like washing dishes and preparing ingredients

Donghae noticed this and that’s only time Chae had told him about what happened to her family

He became protective of her

But he was still a child

One time while Chae was home, a small child came to her house looking for her this was in 1999

That’s when she found Changmin

Changmin, her half-sibling showed her their father who was on his death bed because of stage 3 cancer

Adding onto her responsibilities, She took care of Changmin becoming his noona despite being tired

Having her salary divided into her family and Changmin

Sun-ah helped her daughter as much as she could

But she only did as much to protect her daughter

Sun-ah had given Chae the keys to her small house in seoul, wanting her to stay there.

While in working in Seoul, she was scouted multiple times

But she always declined not wanting to have more work to do

SM scouting her first, then YG, then SM again, and finally Lee Soo Man when she was buying food for Changmin in a street cart

She eventually accepted LSM’s offer

And was given a different contact

Because she had school, training for SM, sports and dance for Impulse, she never was home

Letting her rest from the continuous abuse that her stepfather did to her

But her mother was the one that got abused

Chae felt depressed about her life

Especially because of how her mother is getting hurt by her own boyfriend

On her fifth year of being a trainee (2003), she was called by her stepfather back home

She heard her mother scream bloody murder in the phone call

Making her ditch training and run back home

The last sight making breaking her into a millions pieces

She went home seeing her mother tied into a chair while Yong-su kills her slowly

Chae not being able to do anything because of the gun pointed at her by her psycho stepfather

Having exchanged i love you’s with her mother, Sun-ah dies without seeing her daughter’s future

Yong-su killing himself right after Sun-ah died 

Chae had fallen

She stayed in the house while crying one last time

They were found by Donghae’s father next door when he heard a gun shot go off

Ever since then Chae became broken

She never became happy

She had no one beside Changmin

Chae moved out of the house and moved to her mother’s house in seoul  with Changmin

During the funeral and the destruction of her home in Mokpo, she saw one box by her room

Inside of that box was letters from her mother during the time Chae was in seoul to work

Not only that, letters from Yong-su were also there

Asking for forgiveness

Chae had never made peace with him not until 2007 where she got the strength to forgive him and finally get peace

Her childhood became one of the biggest reasons why Chae is so disciplined, fearless and fragile

She never talked about it, only once

and that one time was enough for the fans to understand her story and why she never cried 

She had only told this story to her members once, making them extremely protective of her

Its always been a mystery how she can smile and be happy in front of cameras while still bearing the pain

But when she learned to make peace, she became much more happier with herself but the pain never left her

Chae’s broken self slowly being healed back by her members and brother
