i like the idea of an AU where ogata kills sugimoto and stays with asirpa, but i think she wouldn't like this. she wouldn't trust him. in her mind, she would try to find a way to make ogata be like sugimoto in her mind. i think this would drive her insane until finally coming to some sort of acceptance. but it would be like a repetition of what happened with his mother. asirpa would try to make him be like sugimoto, just like his mom wanted him to be like hanazawa. but i think he would find comfort in this somehow, not because he likes it but rather because the reminder of his mom would be ironically comforting to some extent. like having his mother back again

My fav taniripa moment is their first meeting and Asirpa just kinda trolls him a bit ig lmao, which is funny cuz it brings out the less serious side to Asirpa without actually making her break the facade ykwim?

I like how gentle he is with her bc in his eyes at first at least, she's a child and Asirpa just rolls her eyes at him like with any other adults bc she's much more capable than meets the eye

They're more mellow than most other Asirpa ships cuz Sugimoto has the whimsy to balance out her aloofness while Tanigaki is too careful and safe to break through her cold exterior in most circumstances

nagakura calling tsurumi a chad, king to king communication, king to king recognition, i simply think nagakura should cheat on hijikata with tsurumi for the drama

tsurumi is the king of getting nutrients... yas bestie consume those finger bites (hehe) foods and then blow up people with your cannons. whatever he does after this will be the result of a sugar rush he cannot be held accountable <3

strongly did not like the sugiripa in the last page (particularly the poem part, kimi is written in katakana which is usually used to denote tenderness and romantic intent). i'm sad for asirpa. whatever will happen it's just kinda melancholy for her, you know? if sugimoto beds her it's horrible for me as a reader, if he dies it will be sad for her because she loves him so much (i don't necessarily mean in a romantic way, her crush aside sugimoto does mean a lot to her, after her father left her she was consumed by loneliness until he appeared in her life), if he doesn't die and doesn't bed her they'll get separated because he'll try staying true to his word wrt ume so again, sad for asirpa. a jpn artist i check out sometimes said she reads that page as asirpa coming to terms with the fact that she will have to part ways with sugimoto since they reached their goals, she accepts it in her heart but can't do anything about the loneliness that comes with this acceptance. i think it's good. i love asirpa... i really love asirpa and i have hopes for her as a character. but she's been through so much and will have to go through much more.

i think shit is supposed to go down in the next chapter. not holding out my hand with hope hanging off it but will prepare for whatever psychic damage noda is about to inflict on us soon, it's been a while since his last stunt
