Our last combo box for the year. Premium chocolate items combo box. The huns was saying, what a boring looking box compared to usual sebab color dull je, semua brown, tak colorful langsung! 😅😅Some might say this is a very expensive box but you see, whenever a dessert involves chocolate, especially imported chocolate, it is bound to be expensive due to it’s cost. . Lagi2 with the current economy situation, since our ringgit is low, it is inevitable that the price for imported ingredients will keep on increasing. Chocolates, butters, cream cheeses are among those ingredients that are affected . . Anyhoo, all these boxes are already purchased previously when we open the booking last week. There was suppose to be Snickers Broqnies in the boxes, but die to kesilapan teknikal, terpaksa substitute the items with another type pf premium brownies. Pesanan penaja, sila pay attention bila baking ya. Merewang sekejap pr terpejam mata terlena 10 saat sekejap pun akan menyebablkan big disaster 🤣. Last Thursday’s combo box. I don’t make it a habit asking my customers to give me the feedback for their bakes orders mainly because I am sooo segan. People might take it the wrong way but in no way does it means that I do not or never appreciate the trust and purchased that my lovely customers have bestowed upon me. Not only does having feedback is crucial for a business, but I really am SO segan to ask for one. It’s been nearly 6 years baking and I think it is not more than 5 times did I asked my customers for feedbacks 🙈. But when my customers do gives me feedbacks, please know that I am very, very thankful for it, whether it is a good one, or if does not met the criteria. For that I am forever grateful. . I enjoy every single moment of baking for my customers, because i have this principle and belief that when you are happy baking it, it will translate in your end products. Today’s already purchased, not-open-for-normal-order combo box. It was super high making these ladies today. 2 types of desserts, 6 flavors. Which, led to a ‘tertukar’ deco for the Belgian Chocolate Cheesecake. The deco here was a “Triple Dark Chocolate Cheesecake” 🤦🏻‍♀️. Bila x cukup tido ginilah jadinya. Lotus Speculoos Cookies. I would say not a lot of Kelantanese like this cookies, 1. Because they not a fan of spice cookies and 2. A bit intimidated to try new taste, something out of the ordinary. Snickers Brownies. I did a demonstration once for this specially created recipe during my term as the Callebaut-Hero Homebaker Edition. Hence the participant that participated back then should know it is quite a fussy and technical brownies. However, i have done a total revamp on the recipe, each elements have gone thru a total make-over in sense of the recipe and the techniques of doing it. A. Total. Revamp. . And now, i al thinking for revamping one of the element again after doing some reading and research, hohoho. SSN takes on Jaffa (Chocolate Orange) cake that was incorporated in the last combo boxes. This time around, we were playing with the texture of the chocolate cake. Crumbly and in-between spongy and truffle-like cake, it is in my opinion taste the best cold rather than the normal room-temperature cake. Because the fudge-truffle like texture compliment so very well with the melt-in-your-mouth chocolate ganache. And the presence of oranges deco give it an extra punch to the whole taste. . I know KB or Kelantan market is not that very bold with flavored chocolate (i love experimenting and indulging in good flavored-chocolate!) but I have this ambition to challenge Kelantanese pallets with bold tasting desserts. I have done it with Matcha and the juries are still out for that one. Whatever it is, challenge accepted. . On another note, InsyaAllah SSN will be revamping a whole lot of thing from making affordable premium bakes in a reasonable definition rather than the conventional “affordable” definition.
