🚗 CAR — does your oc have a driver's license? can they drive/operate any automobiles/machinery besides cars?

Nick, Maria, Jacari, Amy, and Kanta are the only kids in the story with a driver's licensee, and Amy can operate helicopters and planes!

As for driving habits--Nick drives with one arm out the window and Kanta drives a motorcycle often Improperly because they do not follow laws

Okay, so I just read Bluebeard yesterday, and I meant to leave a little ask about it-

Honestly, this one felt really fast paced, especially at the end, like- a really well done found footage film, if that makes any sense. You really feel like you’re looking behind Zelda’s eyes as everything beat for beat happens in the end.

Also? Her reaction to having a ghost in the house feels about the most true to life bit I’ve seen because- what are you supposed to do with your freaky skinless ghost after a while? Not say hello? On an off note, that bit about other wives after Zelda using the ‘preserves’ for Morris while not knowing what it actually is is deeply ghastly! Still thinking about it!

This also feels like a really good intro to people who haven’t read your works before as an entry point, too!

SCREAM yeah it is a really fast one now that you mention it — there’s a lot more lead-up and dread building with the others, and it is a good intro piece!

How would your TMA ocs be handling the fearpocalypse?

Samson: He has one thought as the sky blinks open. "Oh God, I have to save Dec." And then every nerve in his body ignites in pain of a magnitude he's never experienced before and never thought possible. The rush of agony and euphoria blocks out everything else in his mind. He starts laughing but it sounds much more like screaming. Maybe it is.

Pixel: They sit cowering under their computer desk in their flat, staring ahead. Staring behind. And above. And below. Staring everywhere. They Know, and for the first time are truly Known in kind, and it is awful and they are awestruck. Tears mingle with the blood that streaks down their cheeks.

Reshki: He is in the corridors when the Change happens. He starts to feel his DNA unravel like a loose string being pulled from an old shirt and knows something's wrong. He finds a door and pushes through it, into the new broken world. Something screams at him and not to be outdone, he roars in return. The thing backs up just a step, and the small movement away from him triggers a reflex. He gives chase.

Kontio: The Eye above pierces through the peaceful fog of his forest and he flinches, suddenly a lone, writhing specimen under a cosmic microscope. The mist creeps out from the trees, tangles around people and things far beyond the previous reach of the woods. Go away, he begs. If he has to be Seen it won't be by anything other than the unavoidable gaze of the Watcher.

This is a pretty basic recommendation, but System of A Down is really good! If you’re talking metal. I really like B.Y.O.B

SOAD (mostly serj tankian’s solo work tho but a little SOAD) was my only exposure to metal whatsoever  so i have that one covered! i had a friend in middle school who liked a lot of metal i think but i only picked up serj tankian from that and that remained pretty much it

Dude, they’re literally reporting it for the tons of child porn written on site that they actively allow there.

Allow me to start of by saying, I in no way support, anyone or anything that promotes or endorses that kind of content. It makes me physically ill even knowing it exists.

There are however entire screeds in the Ao3 terms and services talking about what is and is not allowed on Ao3, and child porn is pretty high up the list of what Ao3 does not deem as okay.

I don’t doubt that there have been genuine incidences of inappropriate content, because this is the Internet and people are awful sometimes, but I also know that Ao3 does deal with people when they breach their terms of services, and they are swift about it. What they do not do is throw the baby out with the bathwater which is what this is, and I’m extremely wary of anyone who is in favor of mass censorship like a lot of “antis” are clamoring for.

I was your age during the fandom purges that went on in LiveJournal and Fanficnet, and this exactly is how we lost our fandom spaces before. It’s how we lost thousands and thousands of stories and writers and safe spaces that were in no way promoting that kind of content, but a select few people decided we were writing about “immoral things”, and do you know what those “immoral things” were? Being gay. Being anything other than what they deemed “normal”. Anything at all to do with sex was also removed regardless of context, anything tagged as “rape” was removed too, including forums set up to support survivors of assault. We were deleted without discrimination, or without proof of the validity of their claims.

And they used the same argument that they’re using now. They called it child porn and demanded that sites cater to children, even if those sites were never intended for a child audience.

They forced any and all LGBT+ content regardless of actual explicit material, onto NSFW sites intended for adults and kink, because that’s all we were to them. They made it less safe to talk to people and to spread awareness about certain issues, and to group together with people like ourselves.

So you’ll have to pardon me for being tired that this kind of thing is happening again because by and large for the most part, this is a puritanical witch hunt spun to sound like moral concern when really it’s another attempt at censorship because people don’t like something so they do the easy thing and cry “pedophile!” because they know it’s a real easy way to discredit someone and ruin their life. They know it, and they do it anyway, regardless of the harm it causes, or how it invalidates those of us who are actual victims of predatory adults. And yes, I speak from personal experience. And no I’d rather not to have to talk about it in public again.

I’ve been a minor in fandom. I know not everyone is as careful as me about tagging my work and making sure no one under the age of 18 can accidentally stumble onto my adult works.I also know not all adults are good adults and you deserve to be protected from them. But I also know people making false claims to the FBI is not going to end well. For anyone.

And if it turns out Ao3 is actually investigated and found to be harboring such content, you can tell me I was wrong and I’ll gladly watch it burn. But I’ve seen this shitshow before, I know the tactics used, and I know it just opens up a whole other can of problems that we’re already seeing the effects of online and off and they are not easy to fight.

If any of this makes you uncomfortable with following me, you don’t have to reply, you can just block me and leave, as you should any other adult who makes you feel uncomfortable. You are in charge of your own online safety, and curating what you see on your dash. Take care of yourself and stay safe.

when i was just 6 years old my mother took me on her lap and said. “kiana. when strangers on the internet tell you that they didn’t really like a certain pixar movie. you have to respond. its your responsibility.”

i looked at her confused and wary, and told her that i didn’t understand, she smiled and said “you will someday. you will, someday.”

i havent seen her since.
