Sugarboo is being unusually quiet, staring out a window, and Seth worries that they’re upset about something when in reality they’re just deep in thought and zoning the heck out. Alphonse is used to this so he’s not worried.

Sugarboo is honestly so real for that. I do that shit ALOT & my friends & family look at me like "Hey, Lou? Ya good?" but I can totes imagine that. It would kinda go down like:

Seth looks at you worried as you stare out the window. He turns to Alphonse who's in the kitchen cleaning dishes. "Hey, Al?"

"Yeah?" Alphonse shouted from the kitchen.

"Is Sugar all right? Cuz they been staring at the window for 'bout an hour now. Are they mad?"

Alphonse finished up the dishes & approached Seth. He put a hand on his shoulder. "Nah, they're fine. They're just in deep thought, ya know? In the zone?"

Seth turns to Al & raises a eyebrow at him. "In the what now?"

"They're fine, Seth. They're just thinking."

"Hmm. 'Bout what though?" Alphonse shrugged to the question.

"The world may never know."

Okay but like silly idea, as the town the bittersweet trio lives in gets bigger. Do you think there's people that try and scam the bakery Boo has? Like acting like Boo knows them:

"I know the owner."

"....I....um....I'm a distant relative!"

Or even claiming to be Boo's spouse:

regarding the AU where Sugarboo knew the boys as teenagers… what if instead of moving away, Boo stayed in that nowhere town while Seth and Alphonse ran off after graduating.

“If you go, I’ll stay… you come back, I’ll be right here.”

And as time passed, they had every reason to just leave because it’s not like either of them were coming back. Why would they? For them? Why would they come back for them if they seemingly left no problem in the first place? But they did stay. They don’t know exactly why, they just did. maybe to help Al’s parents

So imagine when Alphonse comes back and is forced to face Boo again. Or when Seth comes back and Sugar socks him square in the jaw.

There’s a lot of damage. But it’s not beyond repair.

Honestly, ouch. Damn. Had to punch me in the gut, anon.

All jokes aside, it's the feeling of being left behind too. Sugarboo has honestly every right to be angry in my opinion because they trusted them & they broke their trust. I would be pissed too if someone just left without saying anything & come back just because they needed something from me. I believe Sugarboo would think the same way.

Sugarboo just meows at Al and Seth, all the time

It's their way of expressing themself, a way of saying 'hey I'm comfortable enough around you to be myself even if myself can be a bit odd sometimes', it's their way of saying that they trust them, they care abt them...but ofc they don't know this at first-

The first time it happened with Al was at Halloween, they had run out of treats for the trick-or-treaters (and by that I mean they ran out of sweets they were willing to give away) so they were lying on the couch, SB's head in Al's lap, watching a horror film, then SB just looked up at him and went

"...meow"

Al looked down at them, clearly a bit confused

"Ehm you good Boo?"

"meow"

he gives up trying to understand and just smiles down at them before going back to the film. They explained why they did it like a few days later which made him laugh, after that they would occasionally meow at one another just to remind the other that they really loved them...that's how Seth found out abt it

Everyone was in the kitchen, SB was baking something new and wanted some company whilst doing so. There was music on so nobody was rlly talking, just some off-key singing. There was a slight gap between two songs and during the gap all Seth heard was -

"Meow"

"Mhm meow"

Seth didn't even realise when the next song started playing, he was...so fucking confused and sorta concerned. Al noticed the state of his face and laughed...before continuing to meow causing SB to meow back. So Seth was just left there, he knew he was missing something but wtf was he missing thay could give a reason to this!?!?!?

As soon as SB noticed how confused he was, they apologised cause they knew it was probably really weird so they explained what was going on and after a while of seeing the two meow at each other...Seth joined in

Now they all meow at each other whenever they need to express their gratitude <3
