The meaning of the mantra goes like this, “O Lord Krishna, you protect the universe, and you control it. You are the supreme power, and you are the beloved of the gopikas. Oh Lord, protect me from every evil power. You who has the entire world in his hands. You who holds the Sudarshana Chakra and destroys every injustice, I surrender myself to you.”
Vishnu´s hand with Sudarshana Chakra by Dhanu Andluri Sudarshana Chakra The Sudarshana Chakra (सुदर्शन चक्र) is a spinning, disk-like weapon literally meaning "disk of auspicious vision," having 108 serrated edges used by the Hindu god [Vishnu]. The Sudarshana Chakra is generally portrayed on the right rear hand of the four hands of Vishnu, who also holds a shankha (conch shell), [Gada] (mace) and a padma (lotus). While in the Rigveda the Chakra was "[Vishnu]'s" symbol as the wheel of time, by the late period Sudarshana Chakra emerged as an ayudhapurusha (anthropomorphic form), as a fierce form of Vishnu, used for the destruction of an enemy. In Tamil, the Sudarshana Chakra is also known as Chakkrath Azhwar (translated as Ring/Circlet of God).

Destruction of Daksha Yagna
Destruction of Daksha Yagna explores the repercussions of ego and the wrath of the divine. This story explains the greatness of Lord Shiva and how unrighteousness is always punished. People who mock Lord Shiva as dirty or uncivilized don't understand his glory. Most people know this story but many don't know why Lord Vishnu had to fight for Daksha. I have also gathered background for this. Let us remember the story of Destruction of Daksha yagna.
Tumblr media
The Daksha Yagna was a grand ritual organized by Daksha Prajapati, the father of Sati, the first wife of Lord Shiva. Daksha, driven by his inflated ego, invited all the gods and goddesses to his grand ceremony, excluding Lord Shiva, whom he held in disdain. This omission set in motion a chain of events that would shake the cosmos.
When confronted by Sati about Her husband’s absence, Daksha had openly ridiculed Shiva as an uncouth, ill- deserving and uncivilised personality. Devi Sati could not take the insults about Her husband and thus produced Yogic Fire and ended Herself. As Nandi informed Lord Shiva of the tragedy, the latter threw a few of His hairs against a mountain in a heightened rage and the energy created thus broke the mountain into two parts; one half of it produced Virabhadra and another Bhadrakali whom Shiva instructed for the destruction of Daksha Yagna, Daksha and whoever else attended the Yagna too. Virabhadra appeared at the site of the Yagna instantly along with a huge army of Shivaganas including Dakini, Bhairava and Kapalini while Bhadrakali entered the Place with the nine incarnations of Bhagavati like Katatyani. As Daksha got terrified of the consequences of the situation, he took refuge at Maha Vishnu who expressed His helplessness and reprimanded Daksha for his foolishness in provoking his own daughter to take away Her life. Lord Vishnu Himself attended the Daksha Yagna and several Devatas too. Vishnu had to fight Virabhadra and his army. It was rather ironical that this happened. A celestial voice confirmed that Virabhadra was invincible but meanwhile several Devas too were killed and Lord Vishnu too desisted from the battle. Virabhadra severed Daksha’s head and threw it in the ‘Agnikunda’ (Fire pit) and returned to Rudra Deva. The irony of Lord Vishnu’s fighting Virabhadra to defend Himself and the Devas many of whom were all killed and He himself had to be defensive had a background; indeed Lord Vishnu was aware of this. A King called Kushva and Sage Dadhichi were good friends earlier but the ego (Ahamkara) of each other turned out to be mighty enemies. Kushva prayed to Lord Vishnu and Dadhichi looked to Lord Shiva for help. Lord Vishnu was pleased with Kushva’s penance and agreed to punish Sage Dadhichi and even used Sudarshana Chakra which proved futile, as Dadhichi was fortified with several years of devotion and Sacrifice along with constant ‘Japa’ (meditation) of Mritunjaya Mantra under the guidance of Sukracharya. Finally, Dadhichi condoned Kushva but did not excuse Lord Vishnu and his Deities and gave the curse that they would all be turned as ash in a fight with Lord Shiva’s part- incarnation (Virabhadra). Eventually, Lord Brahma approached Maha Deva to pardon and revive the lives of Lord Vishnu and Devas who were burnt in the battle with Virabhadra. A sobered and ever merciful Shiva conceded to the prayers of Brahma that not only Lord Vishnu be pardoned but those Devas who were burnt off in the cross fire with Virabhadra be revived but also allow a revitalized Daksha Prajapati with life by placing the Yagna’s Goat- head on to Daksha’s severed head thrown out by Virabhadra in the Fire pit and thus Daksha had a Goat- head thereafter. The ever grateful Daksha begged of Maha Deva for his pardon and prayed to Him with great sincerity and devotion everafter. He then performed a Yagna again with Maha Deva on the High Seat and with all the Devas to receive their blessings!
Neither Lord Shiva was able to save Raavana Nor Lord Vishnu was able to save Daksha even though they were great devotees. The important thing here is to understand that Dharma is of paramount importance. No God will save the wicked.
Har Har Mahadev 🙏🙏

"Beyond the Golden Arrow." Conclusion to the Nrisimha Tapaniya Upanishad, "The Exploration of the Mysteries of The Golden Victor."
Tumblr media
The Fourth Upanishad contained in the main first Narasimha Upanishad states, "OM. The earth and the sky are the location of the Residence, time is like a golden arrow which makes known what is in the heart."
If one wants God to take up residence, it says four intentions must be stated: One to be loved by others, two, to be gracious at all times, third to be kind, fourth to be claw-armed towards injustice.
The Fifth Upanishad speaks of others:
The Devas approached Brahma and requested of him, “Bhagawan, please tell us about the famous Chakra called Maha Chakra. The sages tell that ”It is supposed to fulfill all the wishes and is the gateway to salvation”.
Lord Brahma told them: “Sudharshana (the holy wheel of Lord Vishnu) is that great Chakra. On its middle is written, the Taraka mantra (OM) and also the single letter of Narasimha (Kshroum), on its six petals of the Sudarshana six letters (Sahasrara Hum Phat) are written, on its eight petals the eight letters (Om Namo Narayanaya) are written, on its twelve petals is written the twelve holy letters (Om Namo Vasudevaya), on its sixteen petals, the mathruka (model) sixteen letters with their roots (Am Aam, Em, EEm…. Aha) is written and on its 32 petals are written the letters of the “Narasimha Anushtup Mantra Raja.”
Sudarshana is the Lord of the Wheel. It is the mechanism of God's Grace, and is represented in this iconic form:
Tumblr media
As with all weird Hindu gods, the central being represents an aspect of sentience. The many arms and instruments represent skills, attributes, and traits that are gifts of God to mankind through the study of the Upanishads.
If you compare the slightly more composed version of Sudarshan with the Narasimha, you get a much stronger impression of what it means to be a man of superior intellect and one that understands, sometimes you just have to get mad, really, really mad if justice is to come to pass:
Tumblr media
The Sudarshan Mantra, a branch of the Narasimha Anushtup Mantra, when decrypted, reads as follows:
"Beautiful Lord of Order, who writes the name of Ram upon the wheel of the sun using the mystic syllable, and also the thousand spokes, the names for whom I am the vessel.
Homage to You who preserves the universe, who is the father of Krishna, the Scourge of the Wicked, whose influences flower in those who worship you via the letters and characters contained in the Pranava OM."
This is the Sudarshana Chakra, This fulfills all ones wishes and is the gateway of salvation. It is a form of Yajur Veda, Rig Veda, Sama Veda, Brahmam and Amrutha (nectar). The one who daily chants this “Narasimha Anushtup Mantra Raja“ would be able to control fire, control wind, control Sun, control moon, control water, control all devas, control all planets and control poison.
Rig Veda tells us about this, “The devotees who practice this would be able to see Lord Vishnu in the ethereal sky, like an ordinary man is able to see the sun in the sky. The devotees who are Brahmins would be able to praise the lighted Vishnu’s form.
The Upanishads tell that, this would be attained only by one who worships without any desire.”
-> Beyond the Golden Arrow, called the Nectar of Thought, is this "mantra with intentions and a conclusion". Sent by the God of the Sun, its seed produces from within the hearts of men all that is just, propitious and auspicious, ie, that which is of benefit to the safety and longevity of all beings.
He who flowers from within according these precepts, as the Upanishad dictates, shall be said to have been golden victorious over death.
Here ends the Nrisimha Poorva Tapaniyopanishad, as contained in the Atharva-Veda.
Om ! O Devas, may we hear with our ears what is auspicious; May we see with our eyes what is auspicious, O ye worthy of worship !
May we enjoy the term of life allotted by the Devas, Praising them with our body and limbs steady !
May the glorious Indra bless us !
May the all-knowing Sun bless us !
May Garuda, the thunderbolt for evil, bless us !
May Brihaspati, who answers prayers grant us well-being !
Om ! Let there be Peace in me ! Let there be Peace in my environment !
Let there be Peace in the forces that act on me !
HARI OM TAT SAT.
The Narasimha Uttara Upanishad is next.

"Ekam Sat Viprah Bahudha Vadanti", there is one God whom we call by various names ~ Rigveda. God is one, forms are many. In the form of Vishnu, the preserver. in the form of Brahma, the creator. and in the form of Shiva, the destroyer. Shiva, Vishnu, Surya, numerous forms of one God to preserve the universe. Due to the differences in individual dispositions, people follow different paths, but he is the only destination of all of them. Shiva or Vishnu, they are one. Shiva sings Lord Vishnus Glories ~ "Those who are distressed and take shelter of You, either by speaking about You or by remembering You, become completely safe and free from danger. They overcome death and old age. What to speak of those who come personally to You and take shelter. When one remembers You, his dangers disappear". And Vishnu sings glories of Shiva ~ "you have nothing to fear from Lord Shiva. He is the shelter of the pious, easily pleased, the servant and lord of his devotees, and is great minded. Shiva and the Sudarshana chakra are dearer to Me than My life. In the world of valor, they excel all. Lord Shiva can easily create ten million Suryas and ten million Brahmas. For him, nothing is impossible. He is not conscious of the external world. Meditating on Me, his heart centered, he is absorbed day and night. From his five faces he repeats My mantra with devotion, and he always sings My glories. Day and night, I also always think of Shiva and his welfare. To whatever degree one worships Me, to that degree I favor one. The nature of Siva is all-auspiciousness.” Shiva resides in Vishnus heart and Vishnu in Shivas heart. Different manifestations of same God, Many paths to the same goal. https://ift.tt/3c5ZMme

The Lunar Eclipses and Their Impact on Human Life
Tumblr media
Man is the only creature on this earth that has unique knowledge of the celestial events of the skies and their various impacts on earth and it is described by the famous astrologer in kolkata. The moon also has a direct impact on every being dependent on the earth and lunar eclipse (chandra grahan), according to the famous astrologer in kolkata.
Apart from that, it also nourishes the entire flora and fauna on earth with its soothing light. The effect of the moon on the earth could never be overlooked. On one hand it is believed as the symbol of beauty and creativity and on the other hand, it has subtle effects on the appearance and beauty of individuals. Since time immemorial, the planet moon has been the subject and source of inspiration for many poets and also it has the ability to enrich the creativity and curiosity of all beings.
Many writers and poets keep on expressing the beauty of months the or moonlight in their poems. If we are to implement someone for their beauty, we immediately compliment them with a name or quality related to the moon. Apart from this, we see that there are many such flowers on earth which release mesmerizing fragrance after getting stimulated by the soothing moon rays only during the night time. Similarly, the moon also nourishes the minds of a human being with its rays and energies. Based on moon’s impact on human nature, beauty, and behavior, many books have been written since time immemorial which are based on various aspects of the moon. Finally, we understand that a lunar eclipse is an astronomical event that has an effect on the moon and thus it has a direct impact on humans as well. Lunar eclipses do certainly have an impact on every human being.
 Lunar eclipse: an introduction
We see in the ancient scriptures like vedas and puranas talk of celestial events like eclipses in different places. Even the modern astronomy and astrology have endorsed the fact that eclipses do have a definitive impact on the earth and its beings. If we look at the rig veda, we come to know that seers like atri had already acquired the knowledge of eclipses and it was thus mentioned in the rig veda. Even ancient scriptures like matsya purana talk of solar and lunar eclipses.
Tumblr media
During the eclipse, there is an ancient tradition of taking bath in sacred waters, doing charity, and chanting holy mantras as per one’s capacity. There is a detailed explanation of various acts to be done during the eclipse and the things that should be avoided by men, women, children, and patients, etc. It is explained that children and people with health issues are exempt from some of the rules. While healthy men and women should avoid consuming food, water, et,c and also avoid activities like intercourse during the eclipse.
Is something on the mind to share with us? Talk to an astrologer on the phone and know the best answers to your life’s various problems.
A lunar eclipse occurs only when the moon is in a perpendicular direction behind the earth so that the earth’s shadow falls on the moon. It can be said that the lunar eclipse takes place when the sun, earth, and moon is in a straight line. A lunar eclipse takes place on the full moon or poornima tithi. The eclipse takes place for a few hours and its effects could be positive or negative on different people. If the effect is going to be positive for some zodiacs then there is not much to consider. However, if the negative effect of the lunar eclipse is foreseen, then the special emphasis is given towards bathing in rivers, doing enough charity, and also chanting holy mantras as per one’s capacity.
Tumblr media
This is because it will help the individual to reduce the malefic effect of the eclipse on his life and he avoids diseases, miseries, and difficulties arising from the negative effects of the eclipse. To avoid the negative effects of lunar eclipse one must chant the mantras of the moon such as “om shraam shreem shraum saha chandramase namaha” and do donations and charities to one’s capability. The “yutaka” period starts from about 9 hours before the beginning of the eclipse hence one should try to abstain from consuming food or liquids as much as possible.
To prevent liquid and solid eatables from absorbing the negative energies of the moon, few strands of kusha grass could be kept in them or some drops of ganga jal could be added for the same. This will protect the items from getting polluted. As per the puranic legend, when lord vishnu was distributing the divine nectar to the devas and demons, one demon named swarabhanu (rahu) joined the group of devatas under disguise and started drinking the divine ambrosia. Lord chandra witnessed this and hinted this to lord hari who for the sake of humanity cut the body of the demon into two with his sudarshana chakra. His head and body were separated into two. Because of this reason, it is believed that rahu always troubles the moon with eclipse as an act of revenge. Looking for guidance and solutions, get your personalized horoscope reading report from pavitra jyotish.
The effect of the upcoming lunar eclipse on india:
Though the positive and negative effects of eclipse vary from one zodiac to another, the upcoming penumbral lunar eclipse on 10/11th of february 2017 will be very fractional and hence its effect on the indian subcontinent will be almost negligible. Because of this reason, we are not elaborating on the effects of this eclipse on various zodiacs.
As per most of the authentic scriptures on vedic astrology also, penumbral eclipses are not considered equal to complete or partial eclipses. The reason behind the less importance of penumbral eclipses lies in the fact that the shadow of eclipse does not fall on earth during the penumbral eclipses. Unlike the other eclipses, only the astronomical changes could be witnessed on the umbra of the moon as a mild hue. The eclipse on 10-11 february, during the junction of friday and saturday, will technically have no significance from the religious point of view or predictive astrology.
However, for your information some of the facts about this eclipse are given below:
 11 february 2017 — penumbral lunar eclipse
Contact with penumbra   sat, 11 feb 2017, until   04:04 (h: min)
Maximum eclipse            sat, 11 feb 2017, until   06:13 (h: min)
End of penumbral phase sat, 11 feb 2017, until   08:23 (h: min)
 Duration:  4 hours, 19 minutes

Greetings from https://www.jothishi.com The derivation of the word Sudarshana is from two Sanskrit words, "Su" meaning auspicious and "Dharshana" meaning vision. Hence, the word Sudharshana translates to "auspicious vision" or "divine vision". According to Hinduism, the Sudarshana chakra is not only a weapon of destruction. Devotees also believe that the chakra clears the path to attaining salvation. The Sudharshana chakra has 108 blades. The blades find the evil and destroy them. As a result, this chakra is the most powerful among all of Lord Vishnu's weapon. The disc also generates a lot of heat as it is an aspect of Lord Agni. According to the Vaishnavaites, Sudarshana Chakra is not just the representation of Lord Vishnu, it is also an object worthy of worship. Puri Jagannath Ratha Yathra🙏 Ratha Yatra, the Festival of Chariot: Chariots of Shri Jagannath is celebrated every year at Puri, the temple town in Odisha, on the second (dwitiya) day of shukla pakhya (waxing cycle of moon) of Ashadha Maasa (3rd month in Lunar Calendar). The presiding deities of the Jagannath Temple, Puri's main temple, Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Goddess Subhadra, with the celestial wheel (Sudarshana Chakra are removed from the temple in a ceremonial procession to their chariots. The huge, colourfully decorated chariots are drawn by multitude of devotees on the bada danda, the grand avenue to the Gundicha Temple (Gundicha – King Indradyumna's Queen), two miles away to the North. A Guide to Sudarshana Maha Mantra [Everything You Need to Know]
Sudarshana Maha Mantra is a powerful mantra which helps us to acquire all-around success and Karya siddhi. It is the most effective way to please Lord Sudarshana. It captured my attention when I’ve first heard of it, so I said to myself that I need to share it!
This mantra will give you a divine aura to both your mental and physical aspects. It will also help you to progress spiritually and lead you to inner peace and serenity. You will get relieved of ill luck, financial crisis, health issues, spiritual dissatisfaction etc. if you chant this mantra regularly.
What is Sudarshana Maha Mantra?
This Sanskrit word ‘Sudarshana’ is a combination of two words. ‘Su’ means divine, ‘Darshana’ means vision so, the word Sudarshana translates to ‘Divine Vision’.
The Sudarshana Maha Mantra is an auspicious and potent mantra that will help you to de-clutter your life from any unnecessary elements that may have been hindering your progress. Sudarshana mantra benefits are not only just a religious aspect, but they heal us physically, mentally and spiritually.
You need to recite is as follows:
“Om Shreem Hreem Kleem Krishnaaya Govindaaya Gopeejana Vallabhaya Paraya Param Purushaaya Paramathman Para Karma Manthtra Yanthra Tanthra Oushadha Visha Aabichara Astra Shastra Samhara Samhara Mrithiyur Mochaya Mochaya Om Namo Bhagavathey Maha Sudarshanaya Om Preem Reem Rum Deepthrey Jwala Pareethaya Sarwa Digkchobhanakaraye Karaeya Hum Phat Para Bhrahmaney Param Jyothish Swaha Om Namo Bhagavathey Sudarshanaya Om Namo Bhagvathey Maha Sudarshanaya Maha Chakraya Maha Jwaalaya Sarva Roga Prashamanaya Karma Bandha Vimochanaya Paadaathimastha Paryanthan Vaada Janitha Rogaan Pitha Janitha Rogaan Shlesma Janitha Rogaan Daathusankalikoth Bhava Naanaa Vikaara Rogaan Nasaya Nasaya Prasamaya Prasamaya“
Meaning of the Sudarshana Maha Mantra in English
Here’s a quick translation of this mantra.
“ O Lord Krishna, you are the controller of this entire universe, the senses. You are the supreme soul and the beloved one among the gopees. Please Param aatma, protect me from all evils, acts of others, evil mantra and weapons. O Lord, who has the entire world on his fingertips, who holds the mighty Sudarshana chakra and wards off evil from all eight directions, I surrender myself to thee.”
How and When to Chant Sudarshana Maha Mantra
This Sudarshana Maha Mantra can be initiated on birth(nakshatra) days and Ekadashi tithi days. It is very beneficial if you can recite it, but with busy work schedules these days, it may not be possible, that’y why you can also recite it on Saturdays and Wednesdays, which are the most favorable days.
This sacred mantra should be recited in the early morning after taking a bath or in the Sandhya Kala, i.e., evening. It is advised to do it sitting in front of an idol or picture of Lord Sudarshana/Lord Vishnu.
You can recite it for 3, 9, 11 or 108 times as per your convenience. And any individual can chant this maha mantra; there are no barriers.
You could also offer sweet food items made with sesame or laddu, tamarind rice, etc.
Tulsi and Lotus flowers can be used to offer to Lord Sudarshana.
Recite it facing the north and east direction.
While chanting the mantra, you can use the rosary beads made of tulsi or clear quartz crystals.
This mantra can also be used in Shri Sudarshana Homa or Yajna. Homas are thousands of years old rituals in which the mantra is recited over the burning fire which is the Yajna. They usually have elaborate setups with other routines. There are hundreds of homas for different purposes, and Sudarshana homa is one of the powerful ones.
Chanting of this mantra over a fire ritual or homa is a Vedic custom which accesses Lord Vishnu’s spiritual weapon, the Sudarshan chakra. The person on behalf of whom the homa is performed should be physically present in the homa or japa.
It won’t be possible for you to perform this homa every day, so you can also do it in the confines of your home. You can sit in front of a picture of Lord Vishnu, offer some flowers, burn a lamp and incense sticks. Take a glass of water and put a few tulsi leaves, cover the glass using the right-hand palm, recite the mantra and then the holy water can be given to people who need it.
If you cannot arrange much, then sit with a clear mind and chant the mantra daily. If you chant the maha mantra regularly with a pure heart, then you will definitely see results.
Who is Lord Sudarshana?
Lord Sudarshana is a manifestation of Lord Vishnu shown holding the Sudarshana Chakra in his rear right hand. In the other three sides, he holds a shank (conch), Gada (mace) and Padma (lotus). When Lord Vishnu is seen in his form holding ths chakra, he is acknowledged as Lord Sudarshana. This form of him is rightly called as the ‘Divine Vision’.
Lord Sudarshana by: Devshoppe
This weapon is of such significance that it is acknowledged as a deity itself. When you chant this powerful mantra, you are showering praise on the weapon by addressing it as a deity named Lord Sudarshana. You hail the powers that it unfolds and invoke the power of Lord Vishnu or Narayana. This powerful mantra helps to harness the auspicious qualities of the Sudarshana chakra which is one of the most feared and dreaded weapons in the universe.
Significance of the Sudarshana Chakra
It is the holy weapon of Lord Vishnu. This chakra has 108 serrated blades or edges. These blades lookout for evil and destroy them. Out of all his weapons, this is the most significant and powerful one. The sharp edges can severe anything in the Universe. The disc gives out immense heat as it is also an aspect of Agni who is the Lord of Fire.
The typical image of Sudarshana chakra contains a circular ring where Lord Sudarshana is shown with Sixteen hands. Around the circle are found flames of fire as a representation of the Sun God. On the other side there is an image of Lord Narasimha.
This ring represents the destruction of all evil forces and imparts victory of good over evil. When hurled at an enemy, this chakra slices through the air like a disc with blazing fire with a tremendous amount of power. It is known that the chakra can search for its enemy in all the four directions. So, this weapon is also considered as the protector of Dharma and justice among humanity.
In the Nrisimha Upanishads, there is narration as to how Lord Vishnu obtained this powerful weapon of destruction. Once when demons began to overthrow the Gods, so the gods went to Lord Vishnu and asked for his help. Vishnu wanted to have a mighty weapon to defeat the demons. So, he started praying to Lord Shiva and decided to offer one thousand lotus flowers and chanting the Shiva Mantras. Vishnu noticed that one of the lotus flowers were missing so he offered to give his own eyes to replace the missing lotus so that he could complete his prayer ritual.
Lord Shiva was so impressed by his exceptional devotion that he granted Vishnu a weapon of his choice. Lord Vishnu asked for the Sudarshan Chakra so that he could fight with the demons. Shiva fulfilled his wish and gifted him the most potent weapon in the universe.
Sudarshan Chakra
It is written in the Puranas that the heavens architect Vishwakarma made the Sudarshan Chakra from shreds of fire of the sun. Vishwakarma’s daughter was married to Lord Surya- the sun god. Due to his intense heat, she could not be with him, so she complained to her father.
To please his daughter, Vishwakarma shaved off the edges of the Sun to make it shine less. The leftover ‘sun dust’ was used to create three powerful celestial objects. The first one was the aerial vehicle called the Pushpaka Vimana, the second being the Trishul- the Trident. And the third one was the Sudarshana Chakra.
That is why the chakra is considered to be a blazing disc having all the power of the sun. It is a portable instrument and the most powerful among all of Vishnu’s weapons. Its presence also implies that Lord Vishnu is the keeper or owner of celestial bodies in the three lokhas (heaven, hell and earth). You can also get the qualities of this weapon such as courage and fearlessness by praying to lord Sudarshana. The ultimate reason for worshipping this chakra is to refine your perception and vision by achieving an enormous amount of spiritual maturity.

Download the TemplePurohit App (FREE) - https://goo.gl/igbuIy "Ekam Sat Viprah Bahudha Vadanti", there is one God whom we call by various names ~ Rigveda. Different manifestations of same God, Many paths to the same goal. http://ift.tt/2AR3BbP
